When Marcus handed her his jacket she smiled small but shook her head. "No thank you. I wouldn't want to get your jacket wet." she told him and handed it back to him. Folding her arms across her chest, she spoke up again. "Its nice to meet you Marcus,"she said. Her gaze traveled towards his back and she quickly took out her apartment keys, unsure if the owners gave him a copy of it. "Did you want to put your stuff inside? It must be tiring. Ya'know. Carrying that around." she added.

Marcus just nodded and took hold of the jacket. "Yeah if you wouldn't mind. Sorry if that's a inconvenience." Marcus said as readjusted the bag on his shoulder.  Marcus then gave Aspen a soft smile. Marcus looked around at some of the fellow Tennant's.

"Its not problem." she told him and started walking towards her apartment. When she got there, she unlocked the door and walked inside, letting him in. "Welcome." she said as she set the keys down on the small table next to the wall. "Im just going to take a quick shower and then ill be outside in a bit." she told him and started walking to her room.

Thanks again Aspen." Marcus just sat down on the couch and started watching some TV.

When Marcus found a good movie he started watching it. Marcus laughed a couple times, but the movie was kinda sad."

"Haha I bet." She said in response. "I'm Nana by the way, just moved in. What's your names?" She took a bite into her rib. The food tasted really good, she wasn't sure how good it was going to be. While she waited for a response she looked around again. " I wonder how many people are actually new tenets." She said to herself. She then looked back towards the guys. "Hey so are you guys new here?"

Riley had already gotten changed and had calmed down enough to go back to the Barbeque. She sat out of the way not eating much but mostly drinking bottles of various liquors that she had brought with her from her previous house. She casually tossed a bottle behind her having it land exactly in the trash a skill she had spent years perfecting

     "My name's Jake! Nice to meet ya." Jake responded in what he hoped was a friendly manner. Jake looked around once more. He had noticed a lot of newer faces. In fact, Jake never really bothered much to get to know the other tenants in the complex. Jake was focused on his training and kickstarting his career. He had only been there maybe a few months, he never got to know anyone that well.

    "I've been here for a bit. Can't say I'm new, can't say I've been here for a long time. I don't really recognize most of the people here, so I guess most of them are new. How about you? Haven't seen you around, you just move in?" Jake asked, trying to get some background. Jake knew a lot of people moved out, and moved in, so seeing new faces wasn't anything new to him.

 Jake grabbed more pieces of meat, as he had already eaten quite a bit. For a second, he became worried he was hogging the food. Nevertheless, he resumed his devouring of the different meats.

"Snakes are cool," Rebecca replied. "I've handled a few before, but tame ones obviously. Why do you ask?" She looked over to Luna, curious. A couple of her old friends had pet snakes and she'd visited a snake temple a few times. "And is that really all you're gonna eat?" She arched an eyebrow, feigning horror.

Luna

Luna rolled her eyes with a shrug.

"Not hungry, ate at work."

Then she remembered the original question.

"Oh actually I have a pet snake, and just wanted to make sure my new awesomely nice neighbor wasn't scared."

Luna casually crossed her legs and scanned her eyes over the party curiously.

@Skryx

"Still," Rebecca persisted. "You're at a barbecue and you eat a carrot?" She asked incredulously. "It's free food! At least grab a drumstick." She grinned at Luna. While she was joking, she was half serious too. The food smelled great and tasted great. How could anyone pass this up? She leaned back and shifted into a more comfortable position. Should have grabbed a drink before sitting. She was far too lazy to get up now. "Really? What did you name him? Her? Mind if I come over and see sometime?"

@Jasil

Adam listened to Jake's description of what a 'potato' was. He knew very little about professional wrestling, and part of him was repulsed. But the other part of him was curious. He had never met a professional wrestler before.

He opened his mouth to tell Jake about his day, but then he noticed the girl with the long orange pigtails. Only after looking at her did he realize that she was talking to both of them, not just Jake.

He learned that Jake wasn't one of the new tenants. However, he hadn't really seen him around until today. He was in no position to judge, though. Only Rebecca probably knew he lived here until today, because he lived with her.

He realized that he, too, had to answer the girl's question. "I'm Adam," he replied. "I've lived here for two years. And you are...?"

"Yeah I just moved in yesterday. Still got some boxes to unpack." She watched Jake as he devoured the meat on his place. Must be athlete, she thought to herself. She then turned her attention to the other guy. From what she could tell he seemed like the opposite of Jake. The guy then finally introduced himself as Adam. "Nice to meet you Adam, I'm Nana. Lived here for two years huh? This is actually my first time out of the house haha. I'm excited to be living on my own though. My mom was a bit upset that I didn't go to college but I don't really think I'll need it. I already know what I want to do and how do it. So I figured I wouldn't bother. Be a waste of time anyway I'm ready to get started now! Haha" It then hit her that they probably had know idea what she was talking about. "Oh your probably wondering what exactly it is I want to do. Well I want to be a manga artist/writer. I've already have an idea for my first series. I just hope it works out."

Luna

Luna laughed at the girls eagerness.

"Her name is Gemini, and you can come by any time. I love having guests, and seeing how you like free food, when you come you'll be greeted by a home cooked Texas meal."

Luna began braiding her long rainbow locks and grinned.

"Hope you have a big appetite."

@Skryx

"Mhmm ," Blake said as he finished talking about working at a call center, and that it wasn't really that bad to work at though wasn't and ideal place to work at but the pay was probably better than working in a deli at safeway since of the people will make you redo their entire sandwich just because there wasn't enough mustard rather then adding more, the raven haired thought to herself, speaking of safeway she needed to pick up groceries. " Thats rather odd for everyone to just move away? Though a curse I'm not sure about they might of just had their own reasons of why they needed to leave." She shrugged, though glancing towards the building. "Well I need to get going I need to do some shopping before  I have to go to work," the raven haired girl said standing up, saying a goodbye to her neighbor before she left the BBQ.

"I'll hold you to that." Rebecca told her, winking. "Make sure you've got enough food. Seriously though, I haven't eaten Texan in a while. Would make a nice change from all that Korean I've been having lately."

"So are you all settled in here? When did you move in?"

@Jasil

Luna

Luna smiled and giggled.

"Ill make sure there is enough to feed an army, or in this case, you."

She returned the wink and then nodded.

"Yea I just got here about.... 4 days ago now? And I finished unpacking yesterday morning so I'm all nice and cozy. Would've been done sooner but I had to go to work and stuff so it set me back."

This felt nice, just chatting with someone like a normal person. No sympathetic looks, no apologies, no condolences. Just Luna, making friends, learning to move on. Her light eyes filled with a hint of sadness and she smiled.

"But I am definitely elated to be here."

@Skryx

"Ah, I left five days ago. No wonder I haven't seen you around. Must have just missed you. Well, I'm in number seven if you ever need any help or anything." It was nice talking to Luna. Looks like getting new neighbours wasn't as bad as she thought it would be. Unless she turned out to be a crazy psychopath who killed their victims over dinner... She looked a bit down though. She searched for something to say to cheer her up. It was a bit difficult when she didn't know much about her. In the end she gave up guessing and just took a shot. "Do you like the outdoors? I know this place just outside the city, its uber nice."

     He would have considered himself to be late -  if he'd been planning on coming at all. The man had just gotten off work, grunting slightly as he closed the passenger side of his car after he'd dragged out the messenger bag, and had been fully intent on reaching his apartment as the object bumped his thigh with every step. The people in his path to the building however, could not go unnoticed, especially when there were those among them he wasn't aware of. He wasn't curious about joining in their conversations, but he was curious about their content concerning themselves, and he slipped inside to settle himself in the middle of the crowd. Of course, Lucifer's main concern at the moment was some fool spilling their messy condiment of choice all over his pristine white shirt, but that wasn't as important as discovering whatever the hell the newcomers planned to settle themselves here for. Oh sure, he knew an oddly large number of new tenants would be arriving and had been, but that fact alone didn't help him in determining whether they would be an annoyance or not, and seeing as most of them so far were younger - it would likely be the former of the two.

     Deciding to normalize his own interaction with the scene without having to actually socialize, he made his way over to the drinks, lifting a beer from a cooler who's ice had already half melted. Wine was preferred, of course, but - he doubted he was currently among those who'd have any sort of taste for truly fine specimens. Besides the beer itself, he seated himself at a table still in the thick of things, and crossed one leg over the other, a lazy smirk stretching over his face when he'd popped the cap to take a drink.

Riley came back from looking around the various foods in time to see a man taking a beer from a cooler, her cooler, she was not exactly happy or sober "hey you! the hell you think you doing!?" she shouted at him as she walked closer taking a swig from the bottle she already had in her hand

     Lucifer scowled, rubbing his face with one hand before hiding the expression behind another smile. "Partaking in the festivities, what else?" he replied evenly, though he didn't think for a second that she'd do the same, drunk as the woman seemed to be. It was a minor annoyance, the drunken-ness itself, any other time he could have just walked away to ignore it. Instead, he had no choice but to sit there and let her approach, knowing her behavior would most likely also attract the attention of the other guests if it got out of hand, meaning the entire situation was now as unpredictable as the effects of her intoxication. The best way he could think to deal with it at the moment was to stay civil himself, no matter how much he'd get to wanting to smash the entire bottle over her head. "I take it you're enjoying the beverages in their full variety?"

"That's my cooler... that's also my *hic* beer and your drinking it" Riley said taking another swig before slamming the now empty bottle on the table, "It's got my name on it" Riley said pointing to the cooler which had a faded 'Riley' written on it. "What I'm saying is... don't drink my beer..."

     "Oh pardon me then - do you want it back? I assure you, I'm clean," he chuckled, stretching out the bottle and tipping it towards her to offer, eyes flicking from the cooler then back to her. "You may want to re-sharpie that in then, Riley - as well as refraining to leave it open, unattended,  in the middle of community barbecues beside everything else that's 'first come first serve' in contrast. People might get confused." His irritation hadn't gone, but his cheerful expression remained, and he swiveled the contents inside the glass bottle a bit as he waited for her to retrieve it.

Instead of picking up the bottle Riley simply drank all the remaining beer from the bottle whilst he was still holding it "I leave my cooler where I want... you should just read more" Riley giggled jokingly "maybe we could go drink some time?" Riley smiled at him

     "Oh I would love to darling but you see - I believe you're right, so, I'll spend time reading instead. Unfortunately that also means I can't go out with you...it's a shame I know, but only literature will prevent me from making such a grave mistake in the future," he replied flawlessly. "Perhaps I'll see you in the library sometime," he added, making his way to a recycling container after emptying the few contents that were left into the grass, and popping the entire thing through the blue circled hole. He didn't return to his seat, instead using the others to disappear into the crowd, settling on another location that wasn't too far off, but was out of the way all the same. The man pulled out his phone this time, leaning against a column as he flipped through his messages, then back to his research on his most recent of cases.

Riley sat back down and drank a bit more before finally passing out with her head hitting the table, she lay there face down her half drunk bottle of beer pouring out and onto her head, where it ran down her neck and back until she eventually dropped the bottle on the table where it broke
