['Neath Shattered Skies and Scattered Stars] General Discussion - Teams, Plots, and Mayhem

Ah, sorry. I thought you were referring to VEE in general, not just SPoF. My mistake, I apologize.

Hrm, trying to reflect a snake's lower body seems more complex in this system. Ah well Cosemetic is the closest, next to Additional Arm. Oo I'll have to debate this through all of... the rest of today? Oo

Don't have Broken Winged Crane with me now, but is Miracle Gift Mastery the one that grants instant improvement, AND multiple dots in traits?

Yeah.. I'm just glad all I have to do is my Charms-List and my Intimacies.

Query: So... do I already have the ability to Nom Demons to get their forms, then?

It is.

A good question, normally (MoEP Method) was an E4 charm. I don't know (much less really want to know) TAW's way of doing it.

And do you also have Bestowal of Accursed Fortune?

...bugger. There's a limited list available via Bestowal. Oh well!

You need the Green Sun Child Knack for that, needs Essence and Intelligence 4, IIRC. But I know nothing about TAW.

The TAW's use Mutation Point's to simulate forms, and the cost to shapeshift is either 5M, or the total positive mutation value of the form you've just assumed. Hearts Blood is relevant in increasing the list of mutations you can apply- for example... You eat a Yeddim? You and the DM Decide the Mutations that make up a Yeddim, and apply them to your list of mutations.

And you /can/ mix and Match.

I do, it's how I got my Connections ;) What did you want? Artifact?

Inheritance 5. ;) But I guess I could do that by sucking up to a powerful divinity or demon. Yay Endowment!

Also, I don't see Artifact or Manse in the list of grantable backgrounds... but I've always wanted a DB honor guard squad. (I'd rather gain it in play, though). Salary is always delicious; but very very very hard to justify.

I also like Contacts for representing a not-as-strong-as-an-Ally friend in every port. IIRC that's folded into Connections too, but those are a bit more specific.

Hey guys, just a word of warning, heavy snow where I live so risk of having no internet for the weekend.

And... now that I'm working on it, having a creative dilemma, and remembering why I've never played an Abyssal before. They just... don't really grab me that much, and work under a ton of mechanical restrictions (Underworld Manse stones can both be taken away and don't work in Creation? Need a hearthstone in creation to get motes back without cannibalism?).

And at this point, I don't really have a strong concept for anything else, either.

With an unfinished sheet, due tomorrow, and not getting terribly excited about finishing it, I am going to regretfully bow out. Sorry if it disappoints anyone, but I wasn't really involved in much of the plans so far anyway, with my character so vague.

Darnit... sorry to hear that, but okay!

You could make the Charachter not a Loyalist, and not bother with Underworld Manses...

One of the Charms that I'm looking to get is an Essence 5 minimum. How much of a headache are you going to give me if I save up to get E5 for my next Form Charm?

@Tepet Doneno: Sheet's about done. Concord's ready to spread the word. Just writing in notes in the Combat Block so I don't forget Charm applications.

I'm on my phone here briefly to inform you all that my power is indeed out.

I'm trying to figure out what I can cut from my sheet to get at least two points to get my fire lizard familiar that I want.

So my sheet is finished, from a mechanical perspective. I think.

But now I'm at a problem point that y'all might be able to help with. I have no idea how the societies of the world function. No idea where a good place to be from would be. I'm questioning whether or not the Blessed Isle would be good for a Sidereal. Anyone got ideas/assistance?

I'd cut the Moonsilver part of your Infinite Resplendence Amulet. It's just a little bit of soak, not going to help against a Grand Killstick.

That depends entirely on your characters. The sidereals are bureaucrats and caretakers of the world, so they go where Fate needs them to go. Since the Scarlet Realm is pretty much Sidereal Bronze Faction project, a lot of them are involved in it, but they also have duties many other places.

I guess the question is, is the Imperial realm probably the easiest place to have been born in? I've been under the assumption that the most lore is written about it. Perhaps I'm wrong, or just poorly wording my questions.

He is indeed a Bronze Faction guy. So the Scarlet Realm is indeed his peoples' pet project. However, he's a very new Exalt. Maybe a year or two at most. Knows the ropes, but not as experienced as his elders.

Mm. I think the Blessed Isle is probably the easiest place for him to be born, and the easiest place for him to start. But the latter is up to Tepet if he wants to determine that.
