['Neath Shattered Skies and Scattered Stars] General Discussion - Teams, Plots, and Mayhem

All right, so plotting. My chaps' goal is to make friends/playmates as opposed to cockblocking others' schemes, as much as possible. At the highest levels of plot direction they're going to conflict, because I believe everyone has a vested interest in Creation for one reason or another (conquest, destruction, et al), but until then I'd like to think we can get along like rational human beings.


Except SS' guy, but we can probably feed him chinchillas to keep him occupied (they move like greased lightning on speed, so he can have fun chasing them down). And once he starts realizing that courage is not the absence of fear he should probably be easier to deal with.


Like, hm, I think Mnemon Taminoko wants to take over the Blessed Isle for whatever reason. That's not necessarily a bad thing, especially since my chap has a sidekick who has it in for House Cynis ("Yeah, I have no objections at all to trampling their child slave program so they are weakened while you swoop in and take over all their holdings").


Though he does have an Obligation (level 4) to a Raksha noble and he believes in keeping his word, so the ST may decide to throw him at one of you guys for shiggles ("Everything in that direction must die!").


Or something. :P
 
Syrenica has more cares when it comes to the underworld, than other things. She thrives on thrills, adventure, and of course stealing valuable things from people. (Valuable = shiny, can be sold for a good amounts of other shiny valuable things. Ie she likes the gems, the golds and silvers, the fashionably worn things rather than ... super weapon A to sell to Infernal Southern Front Forces B. xD )


She is also more likely to deal with friendly like people who won't run her through at first sight. Meanies get their pants, swords, and secrets swiped (Unless you are a Yozi/Neverborn... its hard to steal those things from them xD ) So with that said I see her liking the Solar. I haven't quite read enough of the other Infernals to determine who she will be steering clear of or helping/have helped. And of course I need to read up on the Lunar. ^^ Which also reminds me to finish my chara!
 
I am nearly done with my character! I'll probably get around to posting it tomorrow, after another hours-long question session with Tepet. Sidereal shenanigans ensue. I'm cramming out a backstory as I cry rivers over everything. Never having played before certainly has its negatives from time to time.

Oh, I'm certainly going to be polite! Wanting to end the world doesn't mean you have to be rude about it, or kill people sooner or more horribly than necessary... most of the time. As long as you're polite and useful in return...

We have quite the pretty party. Not quite as crazy as my Scion group, but it's up there. Even if the two App 3's do terrible things to our average.
 
I am so sorry that I am only slightly above average. I do have some Astrology effects that give me an additional one dot in my looks, though.
 
Any idea on when this game is going to get off the ground? I'm anxious to play.
 
It being a sandbox game, conceivably there would be no need to start everyone off at the same time. Subgroups could start whenever they're ready and formed.
 
I think Esbilon's girl and mine could pool dots for a vial of Sun'sPeak, to keep up with the joneses.


Either that, or Orichalcum Infinite Resplendence Amulets/Orichalcum Wings of the Raptor.


Hmm, no, I think Esbilon's girl is another world-class beauty. Sherwood's person?
 
Why pool dots when one of us has Verdant Emptiness Endowment?

For reasonable values, and excluding some very special scenarios, Appearance is by far the best social stat.
 
BTW, Taminoko is more than happy to help if one of the... homelier people in the party feel the need for a facelift ;)

As I said, my default App is 3, but I can raise it by one with a disguise. I feel so . . . ordinary. Unless I drop my Manipulation to 1, but I don't like having stats that low without a damn good reason.
 
So, all this comparing beauty tips aside, anyone else planning on starting in the Imperial City? Taminoko could be very helpful in tracking down people in hiding, or in causing harm to house Cynis.
 
I am considering it- but it's more likely I'll start, hunting down my Mate- then pushing for a head in to the Imperial City. Or maybe start in the Imp City, then go out from there to find her.
 
Ya know, I don't know where to have Syrenica start. I like the south so her home base-like area is in that area. xD I'll have to consider a few things, depending on stuff, to see where she will start causing issues. ^^
