How are handlers typically paid? Salary (they get a regular paycheck, which is always the same amount)? Hourly (they're on the clock, so don't waste their time)? Or commission (they get a percentage of the client's contract pay, so it's in their best interest to negotiate higher-paying contracts)?

Also, what's considered 'normal' pay for a handler? I'm sure some charge more than others, but what's the difference between an 'expensive' handler and one hired from craigslist, haha?

Consider a combination of 'Salary' and 'Commission'; a basic pay just for dealing with Linkers and handling administrative tasks on the side, and a piece of the pie for every Contract their Linker(s) take on. Let's say.. 5%-20%. Basically, Handlers can choose a client (Linker), be assigned to a client, or negotiate a special deal with the client. The base rate for each Handler/Linker association is assigned by MAVERICK Directors but can be changed by either party 'with good reason'

To use some examples: Oswald is experienced but kind of an idiot, so he only asks a 7% tax. Sarah is a better one but she also doesn't want to take too much so she just does 10%. Malthus is crazy/mean but also genius, so he takes 12% and keeps on wanting the full 20% and will look for any excuse to take it. For what that looks like, they're certainly well off but not all of them are uber-rich, just upper class moneys.
