Fandom Naruto: the Will of fire (Private rp between myself and MorikoSenju)

Neji smiled as he reciprocated the seal of confrontation. The hyuga prodigy had an ulterior motive for wanting to face Naruto. Wanted to make sure Naruto could be strong enough to protect Hinata, since he knew of his cousin's secret crush on the hokage's son.

The match started off in a flash, both moving in for close combat. Naruto was happy that he had stepped up his training. More so on Taijutsu, Ma and Pa had been very slippery and helped him learn to avoid attacks and hits he might not have before. Moving around the field he was careful of Neji's hands keeping an eye out in case he activated his bloodline of family techniques. He also made sure to plant traps and shadows clones as they fought. Deciding that catching Neji off guard would be his way to win.

Neji was aware of this. He was also surprised that Naruto was not spamming the shadow clone jutsu. In fact he hadn't used it at all. "Well then, how about we stop fooling around and get to the real fight?" Neji said, activating his Byakugan.

Patorikku meanwhile had returned from the betting booth. He was the only one who bet on Naruto to win the fight, putting one tho down on his big brother, which did make some of the adults there go awww.

He chose to watch the fight with Hanabi and her family. The reason was his mom had a tendency to get rather spirited when cheering her children, and would unintentionally choke the life out of the nearest person.

Naruto remained silent as Neji got more serious. He was trying to remain focused on everything going on around him. Once more he was sure to avoid Neji's strikes and not let them land. He knew how painful it was, from training with Hinata.

The match continued on with Naruto either avoiding Neji's attacks or rolling with them and jumping back up. Eventually, he started using his traps and tricks. Shadow clones catching Neji off guard and appearing from underground or nowhere.

Naruto eventually launched a trap and that sent ninja wires after Neji trying to trap him.

However, Neji was able to use Rotation to break free.

Naruto frowned lightly, but continued on the attack.

"gentle fist art: eight trigrams 64 palms!" Neji shouted as he charged at Naruto with the intention of sealing off his chakra points.

Naruto smirked gathering wind chakra in his hand to meet and combat the other, avoiding the ones that he couldn't. Waiting until Neji had finished his attack Naruto jerked forward with a powerful uppercut.

Neji evaded and finished sealing Naruto's chakra points.

{Okay, how is he going to fix this? I suppose he surrenders because I was not planning to use Kurama's chakra.}

However, Neji's attempt failed. Now Naruto was in position to counter.

Naruto grinned widely happy his training with Hinata paid off well as he dodged Neji's attacks. If he hadn't trained so hard for this be wouldn't be able to. Still with a grin he activated hia last trap once Neji finished. Finally wrapping Neji up inn Neji wire, and jumping forward to place the exploding tags on him. "Surrender" He called.

"Well played. I forfeit." Neji said.

Naruto grinned brightly turning with a cheer to wave at everyone. Taking in the loud shouts made him feel joy and excitement. He grinned as he watched his mom shouting and strangling someone in joy. Finally leaving the arena after the match was called.

Patorikku was whistling as he and his wood clones hauled carts of Ryo out of the arena. He then placed then in wooden boxes and reverse summoned them to the Uzumaki compound.

"You sure made out like bandit." Patorikku turned to see Choji. "Hi Choji, yeah. I was only one who bet on my big brother winning." Patorikku said with a big smile.

Shikamaru who had been standing nearby had a confused expression. "I don't understand why no one would have bet on the Hokage's son... I mean, it's not like he weak or anything..." He muttered to himself. Logically it made no sense, but he supposed it didn't matter.

Naruto was quick to join the stands, allowing his mother to tackle him as the matches continued.

"Simple, they thought that Neji would win cause he's a hyuga." Patorikku pointed out.

 

[MorikoSenju]

Shikamaru shook his head in annoyance. "But Naruto is an Uzumaki. How stupid..." He said with a sigh ans shrug, before moving on.

Patorikku returned to Hanabi, having brought her a couple of bananas and a cup of milk. He knew these were favorite snack and drink. Patorikku sat down next to his best friend and handed her the snacks.

(Should Sasuke be late like in Canon, or would the prospect of Kushina's wrath motivate Kakashi to be on time?)

{Kakashi wouldn't have that late trait if Kushina and Minato were around. So I think Sasuke would have been there on time with the others?}

Naruto didn't stay with his mother for long, he wanted to be down on the base ground for when he was needed again.

Hanabi blinked giving Patorikku an odd expression. The stands weren't exactly a good place for snacks... What if she spilled it on someone? Regardless she took them and was quick to drink the milk so she didn't cause an incident.
