~Santeru Ishumari~
-One year later-

Santeru stirred from his sleep eyes lazily lulling back in his head, the heat radiating off the window in his office turned him into a cat that was eager to nap. His body ached remaining motionless upright in the chair, the metaphorical fire in his mind begin to light as he slowly began to focus more on his surroundings. He groaned deeply shifting his body and stretching in his chair, he brought up a hand to swipe aside his jet black bangs which hung free in his face. Finally he swiveled his chair to take a look at the individual who interrupted his nap by coming into his office. Raising an eyebrow in annoyance he spoke "Alright, what is it this time.".
The Anbu shifted nervously looking at the obviously disgruntled Raikage, he cleared his throat and raised the report to his face allowing his eyes to race over the words printed in front of him "Our troops in the Hidden sound indicate Leaf movements towards their northern border." He pauses for a moment to look for any response from the Raikage, instead he was met with neutral indifference on his face as the Raikage awaited the continuation of the report. "Why did they fucking volunteer me for this." He swallowed deeply knowing that this next part would upset him. Attempting to lock eyes with the Raikge proved difficult as he gave off the tail end of the report "Also as for the situation on the location of Madame Ishumari, her location is still unknown and it's likely she is being held in enemy territory."
Santeru swallowed irritation growing on his face as those last few words resonated with him, not for his sake but rather Hebiko's if anyone spent the most time with Rukia it was him. He felt a migraine coming on so he waved a hand dismissing the Anbu who no doubt felt relief to leave his presence. It's been a whole year since they attempted to bring together the nations, but after most of the Genin perished in their mission failing to recover the rightful Hokage the Leaf fell into a power vacuum and now the new Hokage happens to be warmongering fool, promising to make up for the losses in the last great war. It's also likely he's the one holding Santeru's wife perhaps as bargaining chip for some later plot. Truthfully Santeru was indifferent to it but he knew telling his son would be a problem, him and Rukia were quite close due to them always being left in the Cloud to take care of affairs. He sighed ringing the bell that led to Hebiko's room, and patiently awaited his arrival.

"Love & Hate are Two Sides, To The Same Coin."

Location - Land of Lightning, Kumogakure; Hebiko's Personal Dressing Room

‘Two figures in the room, one side engulfed in darkness and the other light. The figure of a child facing the dark wall cradled in his knees and glowing woman standing behind, holding a light to the child in the form of a shining hand - but when the child turned to the shining figure. It vanished, leaving the child again alone in his darkness...’

Off elsewhere in Kumogakure’s Kage building, Hebiko had been getting himself ready for the day within Hebiko’s personal dressing room. A rather large room filled with a multitude of various attire for any and all occasions as well as other high-quality ornaments scattered about the room. In the center of the room was a large mirror arched in a circular fashion with a pedestal in the middle. The mirror allowed for a full rotational view of whoever was standing upon the pedestal, which in this case had of course been Hebiko himself. Surrounded by a group of four dressers, who had been specifically handpicked for the job - they were well-known fashion designers which Kumo had been able to come in contact with and hire due to the fact they weren’t very far from their own borders in the Land of Lightning. However despite their well-known reputation as being among the 'best', when it had come to serving the so-called 'Azure Prince' of Kumogakure their nerves had gotten the best of all of them. An hour had already gone by, first, they had started on bathing him before they had moved onto the dressing stage - they had gone along carefully putting together what he would wear. However, after Hebiko had denied almost every idea they had come up with. Instead, they dressed him lightly, with bandages strapping to his torso and right arm, moving on to a set of dark blue hakama pants with a serpent-like pattern that was strapped together by a red string; a little more tightly than Hebiko would prefer. They took easy note of this, without even daring to look directly into his eye they could almost sense the tension he was putting off to which Hebiko spoke “I hope you plan on finishing this shortly, I have things to attend to” that was the first line of the day Hebiko told, and he was sure it wouldn’t be the last. In fact, the real reason he had wanted this to be over with was that he had been constantly stressing over the length which Rukia had been gone, and with the ongoing tensions between the Great Shinobi Villages, and even other lesser villages there was no helping the bad feeling something bad had happened.

“Uhh, err - yes, yes Mr. Ishumari - let’s wrap this up, girls!” One of the designers said, with a slight shudder in her tone and the others acted without question.

As they had tried hurrying up the session, so that not only could Hebiko go do whatever ‘he must do’ but also because they wanted to get as far away from Kumogakure and back home as soon as they possibly could. One had slipped up during the setting up of one arm, and tugged a little too tightly on his kimono but only ever so slightly stretching the fabric. This didn’t sit as well with Hebiko however, and as she hastened to continue the woman felt a striking pain puncturing her fingers caused by something from underneath the sleeve of Hebiko’s kimono and the ‘Azure Prince’ made not even a single notion about it - but the women had started bleeding from her fingers and it had stained a small part of his sleeve. It wasn’t until this, that Hebiko decided to say anything “Oh? Now you expect the family to pay for such poor services? ‘Among the best’ designers? What do you call this? Disgraces! The lot of you! Now out of my sight before I call in my little ‘pets’ to have you all as morning snacks.” dropping his arms and posture, seemingly out of nowhere three snakes came slithering out from under his kimono, each of their tongues flickering out toward the direction of fashion designers and they fled for the exit followed by the screeches of panic and fear on their way out. “Repress yourselves, for now, my friends, you will get your morning meals soon enough..”

*Brinng* *Brinng* *Brinng*

Hebiko stood off the pedestal and focused his attention on the sound of the ringing bell in his room. Walking out from the circular mirror structure and his personal dressing him, through curtain shades that functioned as a door to his bedroom. Which had a king sized bed, adorned with multiple blankets, covers and curtain shades which sparkled within the sunlight, a bookshelf with a collection of historic notes, diaries of past shinobi, basic guide books to almost any skill one could want in life and many books in relation to shinobi war tactics and village politics, the rest of his room filled with numerous ornaments and statues gathered from his travels and triumphs of the past as well as a display area for all of his weapons of choice, ranging from kunai to specially crafted katanas. For now, however, Hebiko’s attention was in the direction of the bell in his room - and he knew exactly who was ringing it. "Now what would he want me for at this moment?” he had little idea, usually it would be Hebiko conveying anything in the political nature, or any troubles in regards to the borders of The Land of Lightning. Nonetheless, Hebiko had left without question, though took his time walking up the steps to the Raikage’s office.

On the way there, he had passed through a few hallways of people who worked every day within the Kage building and not one had failed to give Hebiko a pleasant greeting at his arrival. Though, he paid no attention to any of them and walked through as though there was nothing to take note of. His mind was on the matter of seeing his ‘father’, the Raikage and answer his call. Once reaching the entry to Santeru’s office, he walked in with the grace he usually held everywhere but in war and stood before the Raikage desk - which he felt would one day be his, He gave a short, respectful bow before the Raikage.

“You called for me? Lord Raikage?”

-Interacting with Sinny The Fool Sinny The Fool -

Santeru eyed his son up and down, his posture and overall form were flawless as usual he stood both with respect and defense. A soft smirk was plastered across Santeru's sharp features as his crimson eyes locked with Hebiko's. The afternoon breeze blew softly through the room rustling papers and Santeru's hair, slowly the tension mounted in his chest. A wall built around his heart burned deeply with rage, the recent news adding onto the eternal flame. But on the outside he was calm, almost frozen in a permanent look of sinister mischief the twisted smirk never once fading from his face. A low baritone chuckle echoed out of Santeru and filled the room as he slowly came to a standing position towering above his son even halfway across the room "I respect the formalities Hebiko but that's unnecessary. Why don't you try calling me Dad, or Father for once." Santeru joked as his silhouette blocked a majority of the light from the bay window behind his desk. His jet black clothes and hair seemed to almost absorb the incoming light, he looked like an eclipse the way the light had to wrap around him in order to find it's way into the room. His presence was heavy in the room as he struggled to control his emotions, it's almost as the chakra aura around him became invisible to the naked eye, small flames of violet and turquoise. Or perhaps they were just mirages of light, regardless there was something off about his stance, Santeru was shifting eyes nearly clouded and glassed over as he motioned for Hebiko to take a seat.Waiting a moment for him to do so, he then began to speak.
Sighing heavily and not breaking his gaze away, Santeru's heart beat heavily in his chest as he began to formulate the words he needed to say "Rukia's status has been confirmed missing, and it's likely she is being held by the Leaf's new Hokage as a bargaining chip. But that's my intuition speaking, not confirmed reports. To be frank it could be possible she suffered a worse fate." Santeru's arm bled slightly as he pressed his arm against the steel his hidden kunai, he was swallowing his emotions and allowing his pride to stand firm. He was unwilling to admit his love for the women let alone his inability to keep her safe. He could pretend to be unphased but truthfully she was one of his few true choices that wasn't determined by that damn robed fool. Finishing off what he was saying, the tone came off almost forced in a manner "I thought it best, that you know of her status before it's announced. With this information going public, even without the part of the Hokage added in. The public will have outrage, and they'll want war once more."

"Love & Hate are Two Sides, To The Same Coin."

Location - Land of Lightning, Kumogakure; Kage Building Office

As he stood to greet his father, Alucard had stood up like he had so many times before and as he did, a heavy resonance coming from Alucard engulfing the room and Hebiko in it’s ray. Despite his ‘fathers’ wishes to address him normally, Hebiko was never one to break formalities - it was important for Hebiko to retain a flawless stance and an aura of confidence about him. Being that he had alway dealt with most of the political squabbles with any relevance to ‘the Land of Lightning’s borders. Hebiko quickly discovered why he had been called to the chambers, and as he listened it became harder and harder for him to retain the ‘facade’ he worked so hard in creating, lips pursing and eyes twitching. ‘How could this happen!?’ Hebiko’s mind racing with the possibilities, from all reports that Hebiko had gotten about the new Hokage he seemed like nothing more than a tyrannical warmongering pest, but even pests can cause major damage if left for too long..

In both an attempt to retain his calm and collective nature, as well as the hide the fact he was ready to feed the nearest Shinobi to one of his slithery friends Hebiko reacted hastily. “I understand Lord Raikage, my unit will move onto the situation immediately - I ask you to entertain the public in the meantime..I’ll resolve this myself.” a cold and penetrating glare toward Alucard formed and he gave a short, formal bow. “I will not take no for answer.” even the forced kind tone in Hebiko’s voice couldn’t hide the disdain he currently felt toward everything. Turning around, Hebiko made his way for the kage office’s exit however before completely leaving, he gave one last glare toward his ‘Father’, and with a furious flame in his eye he said “And if I find out that my mother was killed, there are no deals or peace treaties that will stop what is to come for the world of Shinobi…”

Leaving the office building, Hebiko had assured to send word to the people of Kumogakure that he was expected to meet a nearby village to reassure the were producing grains at an efficient rate, and to also secure yet another Village to Kumogakure’s cause. While Hebiko’s messengers had spread this word to excuse his lack of presence, Hebiko had spent the entire day organizing his personal ANBU unit, debriefing them their mission and preparing their gear for the trip. Their mission would be simple - a capture & retrieve mission, that if turned south would turn into a mission to destroy any evidence or secrets that might be on Rukia’s body and their first location of interest was Konohagakure itself..
