Name: Franklin "Benjamin" Richards [ More info of this variation here and here ] .
Role: ( Despite his role as a hero, since Discord's Involvement in his life, he recommended the boy to remain Neutral to a certain degree. This was because of the fact that his involvement would ruin the whole premise of the Elements of Harmony + What they represent, and he said this despite the fact he is the embodiment of Chaos. Knowing this, the person thought it would be best to simply be a Neutral entity , one who would not be directly involved . )
Origin: Marvel Comics
Occupation: Personal Student of Discord
Age: About Seventeen Years of age.
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Open-Minded, so that generally implies Pan-Sexuality ( Albeit, he never actually implied this in his past to anyone but Discord, leaving... Interesting Implications . )
Hero or Villain: Neither ( Although he has a good-natured heart and wants to do what is right, due to the influences of what Discord told him, he is actually incredibly worried he will do something that will cause him to lose his close friend, and or mess up the balance between Harmony & Chaos , as dear old Discord stated to him . Due to this, he preferably doesn't affiliate himself with either side. )
Element: IF this would be accepted ... It would definitely be the Element of Kindness .However, this is unlikely, as it ruins the entire point of his neutrality and his promise to Discord to stay Neutral for a good majority of the time.

Backstory & Personality

Personality: Frankie is described as a gentle and reserved soul , who radiated warmness and goodness to all who come to his humble abroad and or presence , the one who accepts all into his arms, regardless of the history of the individual in question . He gives all others the hospitality , kindness , politeness, and gentleness he doesn't believe he deserves . It is rare for him to be this way to people, since usually he doesn’t get a chance to do much with others. This is due to his reclusive nature and heavy doubt to interact with people with fear of being too attached. It's a constant war within himself on whether or not to interact with people or not He can be a bit timid about a lot of things , as he doesn’t have much experience with other people period due to the overprotective nature of her father. This is why his hesitancy can be his biggest weakness . He does have an inferiority complex, despite the awesome powers at the boy's disposal. This was shown plenty of times, such as the time he believed himself only to be holding down Discord figuratively and being a burden to him . He is pretty much a geek on pretty much everything and anything all thing considered. This is due to his father’s upbringing . Despite having a scientific mind and at least attempts to thinks things rationally, usually he will go with his gut and or heart, which will normally screw him over depending on the scenario. He is incredibly curious and desires to learn a lot from others.

While he is an immeasurably potent Shrinking Violet [ He's far shier than Fluttershy before she met Twilight ] , to the point where most of the time he : Will not talk, stutters quite a bit if he does [ Unless it's Discord or someone he cares for a lot , such as Fluttershy ] , fights with himself to say anything to anyone [ because she feels like it'll either embarrass him or be annoying to others ] , feels like the world is there to get him , feels like everyone hates him whenever they yell or says harsh things , can become seldom quite often when , lacks confidence , talks negative about himself often , feels like he is constantly being an annoyance to others , constantly believes everyone is silent judging him , & downplays himself consistently . He loves everyone without equal, & shows compassion to those whom do and do not deserve such kindness. He has shown the ability to care for everything and have an almost infinite potential for kindness, as seen when he was able to re-reform Discord by himself at a point in the story, something only the Element of Kindness has been shown to do in the past.


In Franklin's eyes, no one is greater than another being. The very idea of supremacy of anything, whether it be superhuman or average mortals, is astronomically false in the ideologies of this young boy . He believes that some people are given more opportunity to shine than others, and despite how they may seem, everyone in the world has a role to play of similar nature, regardless of how interesting it may seem. This also goes right in line with his ideologies about racial segregation or 'worshiping' of sorts. This is why while he'll bow in the presence of royalty, he still believes he/she is no better than any other person, their existence just one of many in the possible world.

Franklin does not care for himself as that much , which is to show how much self-respect he has for herself: Almost none . He does not even know what place he has in the world, or what purpose, despite his intense idelogies about said subject mentioned just above . He does not believe that she deserves to have an effect on the world, where in reality he is actually effecting reality via her very emotions at times . He is always very quick to think that he is responsible for certain things. He always believes that if someone is suffering, he should also suffer as well. It is due to the fact that he loves everyone secretly so much, that even if one person pained, no matter whom it is, is enough to without a doubt get under his skin completely. He does not mind himself being hurt in any way, although he does not love hurt. He accepts his inward pain as a part of himself , but does not desire others to feel that pain as well. This is his main driving factor for continuing to help others, to avoid them getting to this type of hurt. However, as metnioend above, he has a huge hesitancy to even help people minimally due to what people close to him have told him.

Franklin Richards is known to be just as much of an "crybaby" as the former bear of his element , if not on the extremely high-end of it. He does cry a lot , for he is very sensitive. He also cries over the slightest reasons, whether worrying about others safety , or worrying about what will happen next in the never-ending downward spiral that is his own life. Due to his never-ending inner suffering and constant worry about where the world will end up, she is always seen crying at least a few times . It is worth to note that Franklin does not cry just for the reason of just crying alone.


He is often seen as an very polite individual. Due to his lack of respect towards himself , he usually thinks very highly of others and what they are capable of. If you want someone to pat your back about something every day, you would be wise to choose Franklin to do it. He respects even those whom have little to no influence over reality in general . He does not look for respect, as he does not believe he will get anyways [ as noted above: he always believe he doesn't deserve it ], but always looks to give others respect, even those whom truly do not deserve it .

Backstory: Franklin was seen practically born through supernatural means. He does not come from the universe of My Little Pony directly, he actually comes from the Marvel Universe

Powers and Abilities: Unknown ( However, it was directly implied that Discord was worried about his abilities, and asked him to stay neutral for his sake, as his very strength warped the balance of Harmony & Chaos, and threatened to destroyed both of those concepts just by choosing a side, something him Discord, Tirek , Pony of Shadows, and even the Elements of Harmony [ In each of their variations ] couldn't accomplish . Due to this, it is heavily implied his powers are not only of similar nature to Discord's Chaos Magic, but on such a vast scale it likely is above all other examples of Harmony and Chaos Magic, putting it at a ridiculously high-end levels of power. )

I posted it here to avoid any sort of 'cloggging' in the main RP . All of your statements are well rounded , well written , and very sound Justin93Daniels . While I could debate with you about certain word choices and accusations, I won't. It is perfectly fine . I understand the hatred you have for such ideas and concepts. I won't deny that. I also mean no disrespect, but please have some faith in what we are capable of . I, as a person who does these types of "Overpowered" characters regularly here and have a lot of success [ Usually around 90% of the time... Yes that includes the Franklin I am making on the MLP site ] . OP Characters can be done right... I've seen it in Manga, Anime, lots of RP & fanfics , Television , and many different forms of Media. You just got to know how to limit them just enough to make them susceptible to the other characters who may not be as strong or powerful, but can actually use said weaknesses to bog them down to their level [ For instance, there was a time that Franklin Richards lost to a normal human just via experience factor, and the version I had in said RP was... for all intents and purposes... Ridiculously powerful ] , and you have to be willing for flexibility to ever get accepted with such a character. I know that from experience, even here and a few other RP's i've done and am currently doing with said OP characters . If i ever do these characters wrong... Let me know and I'l promise to be as flexible as possible. I want this to work. I truly do. I've seen how good this little community is just here in this RP alone , with how well you guys helped me adjust my character to be accepted. If we all work together on this, I'm certain without a shadow of a doubt that we can do this without any sort of wrenches . If anything, I am doing a RPNation wide experiment to see how far this goes. To prove to everyone that these types of characters can be good if just given the right care .

As a fellow Roleplayer and hopefully a potential friend, I hope I can promise you guys this. This isn't just for Justin, it's for everyone in this RP . Also, the main reason I let The Pony of Light become active early, was to not have to hide it and let the character appear untrustworthy. Nothing breaks a team worse than deceit and betrayal , which would have led my character to a darker path . Now.... If you guys want her to be a future villian post-Nightmare Moon, please let me know.... But I'm certain that isn't what you want. It wasn't to be 'showy', it was to let the characters be aware of her condition and be able to use it effectively in future exploits. Believe me, there is a method to my madness. You guys only need to ask why I do things . It's so rare that people ask why someone does thigns, rather than accusing them of doing something that ruins the RP, when I did something that actualy would benefit it along the way. )

First of all, buddy, let me clarify that I do not have a hatred for characters that are OP. I have a hatred for characters that START OFF like that, without actually earning it except by a simple "Background Story". Yes, I'm aware that there are a few Gary Stu's/Mary Sues that actually succeed in making a decent story. Hell, I've watched One Punch Man, and enjoy it for its simple humor that pokes fun at those kinds of things. But when ONE person gets that privilege, someone ELSE will want to make someone of equal or greater caliber, and then get pissy once they're rejected, then complain about YOUR character, leading to an all-out war that, once over, will just leave a bitter taste in EVERYONE'S mouths.

Call it exaggeration if you want. I'm telling it as it is, by things I've seen before. People hate OP characters. ESPECIALLY when they have to try and find a way to WORK with them, since said OP Characters can just "Snap their fingers", and it's all solved in a single post... maybe two or three, if we're lucky!

But just so we're clear, it's not just you. This whole thing is just getting out of hand, and it's irritating me to no end! I guess you could say I feel like I've been given the short end of a draw, since I figured we wouldn't be accepting "MARY SUES and GARY STU'S". Otherwise I'd have chosen to be a freakin' DEMIGOD, myself, since apparently that's what we're gonna be playing with, eh?! Not like Twilight and her friends were ORDINARY characters, right? We all know Applejack's apples were enhanced with Mother Nature's Sacred Nectar that immortalizes anyone who takes a bite out of it...

I saw "MLP RP", and expected "MLP RP".
Ended up getting "Pacific Rim Meets Random Mindless Wish Fulfillment Fantasies, Starring; GODDESS OF DEATH, ROBOCOP, MARY SUE, AQUAWOMAN, BUG GIRL, PERSON THAT AIN'T THERE YET... oh, and just some Powerless Earth Pony"... yay.

I saw its theme being "Elements of Harmony choosing NEW owners", and thought "The NEXT Mane Six (who really weren't much more than ordinary individuals, save for a few unique perks), with a couple twists here and there".
Ended up getting "Gathering of Four-Five GODLY Beings, and one or two ORDINARY folks who would likely be viewed as the "Weaklings" in the group with little to no actual use, since everyone else could just tap their hooves on the ground and decimate anything in their way".

I'm sure you can see what I'm getting at here. I'm an Earth Pony, while everyone else is just... y'know... GODS?

Well, whatever the case, I'm not angry at anyone. Not personally, at least. It's just a Fandom, and one of Ponies (... I think?) no less. Just don't expect Blue Star to be an easy foe if confronted, just because he's an Earth Pony.

After all, his Alien Nature might just lead to a few NEW tricks up his sleeve that'll be revealed, later, so as to compensate for everyone else being, y'know, 500 steps ahead of him? <_<

I apologies. I may have slightly jumped the gun. It did sort of seem that way though... Not trying ti justify this awful mistake I made. I'm not saying you are incorrect either. I've been in discussions where this exact premise was discussed. However, regardless of how OP they seem to be, every character I have made or attempted to make has an easily exploitable weakness. It personally infuriates me I purposely place a easily exploitable weakness, and no one uses it when I play as said OP Character... And then get mad at me for RPing as them.

I never God-Mod when using a OP character or control their character unless explicit permission is granted. I will never allow my characters to breeze through the problem easily. Never. It's the same reason why I have Franklin as Neutral, to avoid this little problem altogether but still be just involved enough to be a part of the story. He won't be directly involved anyways. So no him " saving the day from the Big Bad " . Courtesy of his promise to Discord.

Anyways, while I know you are likely incredulous by all that going on... Could you possibly stop... How do I say this ? It sort of... Could make a misunderstanding that you are mocking said characters. And yes this is a MLP RP.... But he/she had a broad and open-minded outlook... As look as he/she sees potential. I'm pretty certain as long as you don't God-Mod and or control others characters and put reasonable weaknesses... He can still be plenty powerful. I have no doubt he can be very strong + has a lot of potential, and I won't underestimated him. I thought he was a threat since him gaining the Element of Magic.... Despite the fact he's an Earth Pony + No experiences with Magic. Well... Franklin sort of comes from another world too, so he has the exact same weakness. So... Yeah. I just wanted to reference that.

And .... I love that reference. Jeez... I love it so much. Anyways, I need to make a Back story, Strengths, and Weaknesses part of it. I'm just waiting for feedback for what I have currently. It still sort of sounds like you're mocking the GM... I'm not saying you are actually, just saying it looks like it. Can you clarify this bit please ? It's hard to tell emotions outside of computers.

Aight, then. Let's see if this'll clarify it.

I'm not mocking anyone, first of all. I'm pointing out things that either frighten me, bug me, or just simply make me want to just throw in the towel and say "**** it".

As I've stressed in nearly every post, I literally say "No offense", meaning that what I'm about to say is to be viewed as if a "Critic" were going to speak to you, not in a way to INSULT you, but rather, in a way to HELP you. I've been writing for ten years, now, and have been criticized the hell out of, with so many of my ideas tossed into the dirt, and stomped into dust. It all had one thing in common, and that was the ONE character that stole the entire fun out of the whole thing.

I'm not saying your character WILL turn into a "Tyrant that overpowers the freakin' PRINCESSES", either. But just the THOUGHT, or simply MENTIONING that stuff... it feels unnecessary, and makes your character a "Highlight" that could steal the show at a moment's glance... and that just makes people want to AVOID you. Then when you DO decide to act, the players that want their characters to survive would have to play "Peasant" with you. As a guy who grew up in a poor neighborhood, every time I see a guy who's "High and Mighty", it takes all my willpower to NOT slug him in the nose. When I see those people online, however, it riles up my blood pressure, and makes me just want to... you get the idea.

Your character simply HAVING that kind of power at the start? Why do you even NEED that kind of freakin' power?! Seriously, are you TRYING to make people avoid your character like the plague?!

I'm getting stressed out more just discussing this. Do what you wish, take it as you will, but I'll just hop in when needed. '

I still respect your opinion & everything. However, despite the character'potential to do it, it's their choice whether to trust my abilities to RP as such characters, or nor. It's the ultimate double-edged swore... And it's a risk I'm willing to take.

MyrnaCat236 Also.... Do the Elements / Alicorns scale to their portrayal in the IDW Comics ... Or their portrayal in the Show ? I just want to get a good idea of how 'strong' they are suppose to be .
If the Comics: Multiversal+ ( The Royal Sisters [ A foal Celestia and Luna ] can destroy all of reality and leave it a void according to recent comics ) . Yep. That actually happened.
If the Show: They scale to the Sun moving feat.
