She's only concerned with passing, not winning. It'll become very apparent very quick that Toki isn't someone you want to be paired up with if your aim is to be a top hero.

If he gets hurt because she's not trying, he's gonna have to heal, and he heals by drinking blood. If it's her fault he got hurt, it's her job to make sure he gets healed.

Well, she doesn't want to be a hero. She dislikes heroes. Not in any sort of dramatic way, she just views heroes like some normie would view anime. It's stupid, cringey, and a waste of time. Only reason she's there is because an overbearing parent that demands Toki follow in her footsteps and carry on the family business. She has no intention on actually being a hero, she just has to suck it up and deal with it until she's old enough to move out on her own.

Well, the bare minimum for passing still could be a lot, it just might not be as much as their partner might want, depending on who their partner is.

I should clarify though. Dante doesn't give a hoot in hell if he's the "Top Hero" or anything like that. All he wants is for people to realize he's not a villain. To accomplish this, he's going to be the best hero he's capable of being.

As far as he's concerned, if she's just there for reasons like that, it's her business. He'll tell her point blank to her face that if she feels that way, she should leave rather than risk the health and safety of those who actually do want to be there.

Dante: "If you don't want to be here, fine. Sit right there and waste your potential. Just stay the fuck out of my way if you aren't going to be serious. Unless your mindset changes, all you are is a liability that will get someone killed."

For the most part only the most discerning people would even know she's holding back/not trying. After all, nobody actually knows what her limits are, even the teachers don't know. So if she's half-assing it from the very beginning then everyone think THAT was her best. It'd only become something normal people would notice late 1st year into their second year when they realize Toki has made literally zero improvement. But for basically the entirety of their first year nobody would even realize she's not doing her best.

I should clarify though. Dante doesn't give a hoot in hell if he's the "Top Hero" or anything like that. All he wants is for people to realize he's not a villain. To accomplish this, he's going to be the best hero he's capable of being.

I think Tsurei might have interesting interactions with Dante or Toki, her being a hero who is actually secretly a villain who is infiltrating the school.

That's gonna be the hardest thing for my OC, I honestly don't expect to go 3 years or however long without getting busted and that may or may not have an effect on whether my OC succeeds in becoming a "hero" quotations....

Tsurei has no necessary desire to actually become a hero and is an actual villain which may raise some red flags if she draws too much attention with her knowledge of villain fighting styles and knowledge of known villains and the way they work.

"Go under the radar, analyze and get through and get out. I'm risking too much being here"

Most likely, he'll just slingshot her out of whatever the fight is so she won't get in his way. Granted that's assuming he realizes she's half assing it. For all the bluster and him being an ass, he's lowkey intentionally granting her wish to not be a hero by taking on the challenges solo.

Dante -internal-: "Not everyone is meant to be a Hero. It's not something you can force onto someone just because they have a suitable Quirk. If I were to even suggest that, I'd be no better than those that think I should be a villain because my Quirk is best suited for such a life."

But knowing about villains wouldn't really raise any red flag. It makes sense that someone serious about becoming a hero would study up on those they're suppose to fight.

From what I know of Dante I doubt he'd be able to pick up on the fact that she's holding herself back. That's the sort of thing reserved for those who have that super natural observational ability, or EXPERIENCE enough to tell she's not trying her hardest or something. I doubt any of the students would notice.
