Aditya can work well with almost anyone, really. His quirk doesn't really give him any edge in offense but his defense is almost perfect.

I mean, we've already established Dante and Toki as a tag team would be OP. Bladed shields and blood blades plus Blood Bullets for some range control. Anything that gets too close is basically gonna become a slushie. Then again, he'd probably work well with Mei'a, Sun, and Claudia as well, in terms of Quirk compatibility. Though, with Claudia I could see their personalities clashing a bit at first....

Katakon Katakon
I mean it would be a little strange, though she is pretty outgoing... at least if she gets past her shy demeanor. :P

One Mean Ghost One Mean Ghost
She isn't really the type to reject anyone, granted she can be a lot more meek and shy around certain people if they are overbearing though she wouldn't purposely avoid anyone. ^^

Hibiki is also secretly shy but acts tough and edgy so people won't make fun of him~

Should just wait until this start to see what will happen ^^
Well I'm talking more of Quirks compatibility not character compatibility we can wait for the rp to start to do that!

We appear to have a lot of generalists who would work well with anybody, at least from what I see.

I noticed that too, but it makes things more streamlined and easy to pair characters up! Admittedly my own character is very combat heavy lol

Aditya with a close range fighter will make a good tag team if he can get the timing right.

Imagine being involved in a fist fight but only one side could hit.

You all with the pairings for fighting, we need more friendship pairings!
This is based of a a shonen Anime! Fighting pairings is friendship pairings! Friends who fight together and sometimes with each other stay together!

Though, with Claudia I could see their personalities clashing a bit at first.
Standard-issue brawl between both of them ensues, ends with a stalemate, and each other recognising the other's prowess and convictions, and both become vitriolic best buds.

Sounds about right.

and maybe some romantic tension

Idea for a wombo-combo: MorningStar - By using his Blood Slingshot to launch Claudia, she can effectively become a spiked ball of death. In the next moment, he can use the slingshot to launch himself to her to cover any blindspots created by the initial launch.

Claudia Diamante + Manabu Moto = Manabu Moto can absorb Claudia's graphene and protect her while Claudia controls the battlefield with constructs

Hibiko Kato + Alexandra Michaelakis = Dual Flight and Ranged Zoning Capabilities, that's gonna be hard for most of the class to deal with as you need people with ranged capabilities to even combat this.

Aditya Levin + Thomas Lindhal = Aditya can go intangible while Thomas can use his smoke to poison the air, basically Thomas controls the space while Aditya can place herself at strategically points to do sneak attacks and backstabs and go back to being intangible before enemy can react.

Shane Fischer + Saito Osaka = Pretty much an evasion/illusion/invisiblity strategy, it'll be hard to even figure out where both are even at.

Tokihana Ellion + Dante De La Cruz = Dante and Tokihana can both make similar projectile weapons with the use of blood weapons and blades
Also dante can feed off himself or tokihana while tokihana can shield one of them to give time to heal or recoup/restratigize

Daisuke Oshiro + Tsurei Fukayashi = Earth and Wind combo. Although it seems like it might be abit more earth due to Daisuke being able to hurt himself,
but potentially the blast he creates could destroy some of Tsurei's rocks, which could somewhat give more space for her to continue to dominate the fight.

Kimi Rivers + Sun Zi = Telekinetic + Mental Capabilities, the classic mind power combo, this is about as good as I could come up with.

Emvi Square + Jason Holler = Similar Quirks for double efficiency, enhanced physical capabilities made for a double trouble duo.

Overall in my head some of these combos are just broken like Shane Fischer + Saito Osaka, Tokihana Ellion + Dante De La Cruz, Aditya + Thomas, Hibiko + Alexandra might be one of the most broken ones because they can both attack at range and fly.

These aren't meant to be pairings at all. Just fighting combos in which their quirks work together.

A lot of these quirk combos seem almost too perfect. Like a lot of these characters have battlefield quirks that once you give them room to play their game they completely dominate. It almost seems like there is often a pattern with emitters, transformation and mutants, like sure you could pair two of each but unless the both really complement eachother it's almost better to pair say an emitter with a mutant or transformation,

I think that if some of the other groups were clever in one way or another, they'd be able to turn the tables.

That's honestly what makes it interesting. Every gameplan has flaws and it's up to see how things draw out to what changes need to made and who can keep up with the unpredictability of battle. Like sure there is ways all of these plans could fall apart but that doesn't mean a loss. No plan is a guarantee.
The thing is any pair with a good plan fighting another pair with a good plan can go in many ways. So yes there will be changes made, or even not because some pairs wouldn't be able to deal with others plans very well if at all.

I think pairing is very much about being clever and gameplans and synergy rather than 1v1s being about raw power and skill.

In a 2v2 your team can have the offensive by far and can still be absolutely destroyed by a better synergy or plan.
But in a 1v1 strategy still exists but it's much more of a "what you see is what you get"

Toki would be a terrible teammate since she wouldn't even try her hardest. She'd give the absolute bare minimum required to pass and nothing more.

Would potentially getting bitten if she didn't try be sufficient motivation?

You cannot logically bet on winning by one half of your pair doing nothing. Dante or whoever she teams up with is gonna get hurt badly and probably end up making them both lose. If one person ends up doing bare minimum or nothing you've essentially thrown out teamwork, synergy and half your power out the window. And essentially it becomes a 2v1. I'm certain she'll be very key to the success of any pair

If he tries that he's getting smacked.

She's only concerned with passing, not winning. It'll become very apparent very quick that Toki isn't someone you want to be paired up with if your aim is to be a top hero.
