Fantasy Murder: The Shadow's Grip

Ryu flew back a few yards before hitting the ground, a loud thud coming from the impact as he coughed up blood. "Argh!" was all he grunted before he finally came to a stop and just laid there. He kept coughing, more blood spitting out of his mouth as he did so. He tried to stand back up, but his body racked in pain, causing his body to not want to move at all. "Damn....that was a bit harder than expected." he mumbled as he stared up at the night sky. "Maybe we are safe?"

Isaac braced himself the best he could. Thankfully his armor mitigated much of the blast, and the impact from the ground itself. Getting back to his feet, he shook himself off and made sure there were no immediate threats before trying to meet up with the other survivors.

Falling back due to the blast he landed on his back the wind knocked out of his chest. He looked up into the sky. "What just happened?" He asked picking himself up blood running down his face due to a cut from shrapnel. He wiped the blood off and looked around.

"Fuck." The building blew up, throwing Octavian backwards, through a tree, and through a Shadow, splattering his gore all over the place. He lie there on the ground, momentarily stunned. What or Who caused the explosion? he thought to himself. Well, apparently I'm not going back to any of them, now. Might as well go on my own. He turned, walking away, off into the forest. They were mostly assholes, anyways. He reasoned, before stopping, finding himself in the clearing he started in. Except.... the portal was open again! THE PORTAL WAS OPEN AGAIN! He stepped back, turning and fleeing from the portal. Even though they are all assholes, they don't deserve that, he thought remembering from experience what his universe was like. He was quite frankly curious as to what would come out though. Chaos? Tyranids? Eldar? My own battle brothers? Or maybe some more of those damn shadow freaks. He saw Issac getting to his feet nearby. "You there! In the armor! You alright?" Octavian ran over, shouting.

*Natsu fell in pain as he hit his back on the ground* Gah! *I lay down and jump up quickly look around for blondie/dan/danny/(WHAT EVER HER NAME IS)*

Jinx hopped onto Fish-Bones as a blast of flames propelled her out of the building, soaring into the air while screaming.


"Woooooooooooooooo!"


Until Fish-Bones landed wit it's sharp nose stuck in the dirt. She jumped from her ride and stretched.


"That. Was. Amazing!"

Ryu laid there for a moment coughing as he slowly began to get up. He turned to walk towards the area he...well flew from, but he stimbled slightly. His right leg racked with pain, causing him to wince, before he looked down to see a sharp metal rod sticking out from his thigh. Fucking great... he thought as he walked/dragged his way around slowly. "Hey, where the hell is everyone?!" he yelled his anger slightly subsiding. He ripped jeans and any exposed areas were covered in blood, but otherwise he was fine. "Where is everyone?!?!?!" he shouted again this time louder, hoping someone would hear him.

 

[Field Marshall]

Edward stood in a crater at the center of the wreckage unharmed mostly he was bleeding from his forehead from a rock or shrapnel or both."Holler if you're dead!" Edward called out his voice echoing in throughout the area. "Anybody!"

"Er... Good idea and all, but we have another problem." He said, pausing, "You see, a Warp Portal brought me from my world, to here. Said portal closed a bit afterwards." he paused for a breath, he had clearly been running. "And the portal has opened again. Meaning, either that something just came through, or something is about to come through. And my world contains many things you don't want to meet. I suggest running."

When the shadows plagued their camp, The Doctor stood by the group to help ward them off. Though he didn't kill or harm any of the creatures, he did things to them that would make it easier for the others to fight them. He used sonic waves from his screwdriver to throw off their senses, causing them to become disoriented and be easier targets. The time lord also made sure that all of the survivors made it to the roof safely. There may have been a few hitches and bumps in the road along the way, but in the end the shadows were taken care of. Temporarily of course. A great battle was fought, the building blew up, and the survivors were plummeting.


"Oh, no, no! Not good!" The Doctor cried, rushing for the other survivors. "I'm coming! Do any survivors need help!?" he cried, running as fast as he could. He could assist them, perhaps let some of them even hide in his tardis. The ship may have been malfunctioning, but he could still let them hide there. It was either that or keep helping them out here... somehow...

The battle on the ground was near deadly for anyone who hadn't managed to make it to the roof of the grocery store. Unfortunately, this was the case for Lia. She fought shadow after shadow, ducking behind buildings and hiding in big crevices on the ground.


The amo on her gun was quickly depleted, and she ran out of options. A shadow came at her and she thought she was done for.


"Crap, will you just leave me alone!" she cried, pointing at the shadow. To her surprise, the earth on the ground rose up and clung itself at the shadow, burying it and smashing it to bits. Lia was stunned. She didn't know she had elemental powers. In fact, she knew little about them at all having never been around someone who had them.


"Wh-What was that?" she questioned, looking down at her hands.


A short while later, the shadow threat was eradicated and she explored the town to find the others. She realized many of the others were on the roof, wondering how she could get to them. She ran toward the building, but then the shadows returned. It was all out war against them. Lia didn't have any amo, however, and didn't know how to do the fancy elemental trick she had done with the earth, so all she could do was run.


By the time she had made it to the building, it was blowing up. She bit her lip, thankful she hadn't been up there at the time. The blonde cursed under her breath. "Renegade, maybe it's time to leave this camp. It doesn't look like it's doing too well... Renegade?"


Her dog was suddenly gone, running straight for the others.


"Get back here!" she cried, rushing after him. Apparently, Renegade had a more caring heart than his master. He didn't want to see the others suffer. The canine wanted to help them.

(Oh my god the building blew up SO MUCH ACTION!)


Blake was caught by the full force of the explosion by surprise. She was sent high and flying into the night sky, unable to control her descent as she had exhausted her magic too easily. Her body crashed into the earthy soil below, rolling and tumbling until she collided with a tree. Her hair was singed, her vision was increasingly blurred. She was in far too much lain to get up. "Fuck..." she groaned, holding her stomach. "My flag... and sword... I need to fidn-"


Her voice was cut off as the previously mentioned objects pierced the soil inches away from her head. She gasped and wheezed as she gripped the flagpole, trying to stand up and readjust herself.

"Oh my gods, oh gods." cried Annie, her walk backing her up against a tree, a giant black wolf was growling in front of her, ready to lunch any second. It had solid black fur, and pricing blue eyes, and teeth that looked sharper then any blade.

Ryu grumbled as he walked through the area he had been blown towards. "All these damn trees....I'm about to just burn this whole forest away!" he shouted before he blinked hearing a voice echo back.... It sounded like a female.. "Hello? Who's there?" he called out as he stumbled towards the voice. I'm still going to burn this damn forest down he thought as he continued to call out to the panicking female.

The aural amplifiers in the helmet had Isaac catch the cry, and he moved towards it immediately. That was the voice of the girl who had been in charge before shit hit the fan. Isaac still needed answers dammit! Looking for the girl, the harsh blue light of his helmet pierced the dark --hopefully finding her in time.

Edward stood in a crater at the center of the wreckage unharmed mostly he was bleeding from his forehead from a rock or shrapnel or both."Holler if you're dead!" Edward called out his voice echoing in throughout the area. "Anybody!"

"I... I can't feel my... Oh, wait. There it is," JoJo murmured, getting up and brushing off his legs. Luckily, he didn't break anything. Once he heard Ed call out to other people, he responded in kind, his figure of 6'5 fairly recognizable. He waved his arms at Edward. "Yo! I'm not dead just yet! Found anyone else?!"

"I will burn you!" shouted Annie as the wolf crept closer, she raised her hand, and closed her eyes, blasting the animal with flames so hot they burned blue. The wolf let out a cry as it jumped, its face becoming burnt and its death only seconds after, it lifeless body fell to Annie's feet. Another wolf crept towards her, it was also giant and black, what was so many wolfs doing out here?

Adain make a quick scan, seeing something moving outside. He walked outside sword draw gun more than ready. He shot an infected clawing out of rubble and jumped over a wall of rubble. He found the little girl who threw fire and the wolf creature. "GUYS," he began to shot before seeing the wolf die. "We should regroup out side!" He finished.
