Fantasy Murder: The Shadow's Grip

Edward killed a dozen of the infected, but more still dashed around the rooftop, attacking survivors, and the others repeatedly moving. A laugh filled the air, it was rather cold, and gave you the chills.


"Hahahaha.....mhmhmahaha." exhaled the voice, its masculine tone leaving the night air even colder then before. The voice only returned in another laugh, and what appeared to be a blaze of black curved shadows cut through the rubble blocking the stairwell. They disparaged leaving a slender, skeleton walking up the stairs, its black mouth curved in the most devilish smile known to man. The light from inside shined bright compared to the light less rooftop.

*quickly gets in front of Danny as the laugh is heard. It's almost like she is apart of my family with how I protect her* What was that?!

She perked up at the word.


"A bomb? Haha! I got your back!"


She began firing into the packs of shadows running their way, noticing the skeletal figure stepping into the room. It didn't phase her much, so she just continued on with her assigned task.

Octavian dived out of a window on the first floor, landing on the ground with a roll. The Shadows attempted to follow him out, but met a sharp end by Octavian's Chainsword. He put the weapon on his back, and looked up at the wall, leading to the roof. He rubbed his armored hands together, before punching two holes into the wall, which he used to pull himself up. He proceeded to punch two more holes in, and pulled himself up farther, placing his feet in the holes he had made before. He continued his climbing. He knew it'd take a while, but when he got up there, they were really going to regret sending him through the floor. (BRB for a bit)

Blood and metal, metal and blood. Isaac was both of these things in a single blur of severed limbs and flashing plasma. Bludgeoning his foes into submission as he prioritized them, he made quick work of them by striking low to put them on the ground, and stomping them into mush with his heavy boots.


The laugh caught his attention though, and as it did he found another armed survivor to go back to back with... ready for anything.

It raised its left boney hand, and a large fist broke through the roof, exposing light onto it's surface from the inside. Body's still lied smashed on the 3rd floor, and the small flooded onto the roof. The Shadow's still danced around, dodging the survivors attacks, some even attacking, and the skeleton just smiled, and raised his hands, ordering 4 slender outlined figures like himself to jump from the hole, and stand around it. A Shadow grabbed Doctor Emment, if successful it would pushed him towards the skeleton figures by the hole.

Ryu stood there, panic in his eyes as he watched horded of infected fight their way through. "Oh crap!" he shouted as flames burst around him, burning a few down. He saw that the door that had separated him from the others on the roof was finally broken down and decided to rush through. Maybe it would be a better idea to hang with a group, eh? He though to himself as he broke through. He saw a large skeleton, who appeared to be leading the Shadows and groaned. "Can this day get ANY worse?!"

Noting the laugh he started shorting more, stopping to reload or slice a head off. "Good to know I've got back up." He burst fired into a crowd of the infected.

A skeleton creature? What the actual fuck? Never mind --Isaac actually figured the creature to be more like something from the necromorph population. That was a dangerous thought, and it made Isaac just as dangerous. The engineer hated necromorphs and the skeleton man seemed more and more like one every passing second.


Isaac's kinesis module! He could use it to pull the skeleton's head free, and destroy it with a classic Isaac Clarke curb stomp. Lining up a clear shot, Isaac took aim and held out his hand towards the skeleton's head --attempting to remove the skull and suspend it.

Ryu grunted as he waved his hands up, throwing, causing flames to erupt around a small group of Shadows. "Dammit all..." he mumbled as he glared. Keep you're temper in check Ryu....or else things could get ugly....

Jack smiled, he turned his eyes to Isaac as he lined up his shot, and only just in time to see The Shadow block it, its skull ripping from its neck, flesh torn and blood squirted from its neck, Its limb body lied on the rooftop, and jack smiled wider. He pointed his bony finger at Isaac, and a Shadow jumped on Isaac back, desperately trying to rap its arms around his neck, and pull him onto his back.

The Shadow's were done dodging, but instead rushed towards the survivors, the remaining seventy all ready for a blood bath.

Ryu turned towards the skeleton leader and growled. He snapped his finger and a ring of fire suddenly shot up around him. "If none of that will work, how about we just burn you up eh?" He shouted as he smirked. His temper was still rising, though he had a small grasp on it. "I just wanted to get some damn food from the cursed house I was buy, and SOMEHOW THIS HAPPENED!" he yelled as he stoked the flames more.

Annie threw her hand up, sending a blast of fire into a Shadow's face, killing it. Another jumped at her, but she manged to jump left, and send a curved wave of fire, burning it. Another jumped at her, grabbing her hair from behind, and throwing her to the floor.

Edward has only one choice left, it was to use Kimblee's technique. "Brace yourselves!" Ed yelled. He clapped his hands and place them on the ground a red transmutation spread throughout the building. A giant crater appeared in the ground. Then KABOOM, the building was blown away completely. Hopefully the skeleton man and infected as well.

Blake turned around and nearly gasped as she saw a Shadow jump onto Isaac's back. Pulling her remaining blade out from a Shadow's chest before kicking the infected off the roof, she ran towards Isaac and latched onto the damned Shadow, trying to pry its grip from the bloody armored man.

Isaac jerked to the side in an attempt to fling the shadow from his back. He held onto the head with kinesis, and was going to use it before he felt someone trying to pull the shadow from his back. With their combined efforts they should be able to manage to get it off. Whirling around, he clubbed the creature violently in the head until it came apart like a melon.


Wasting no time, Isaac used the head to cannonball at the skull from where it hovered. Hopefully the skeleton had moved it's attention elsewhere.


The the shadows in full assault, Isaac had to clear himself some more breathing room before making another attempt at the skull.

Ryu blinked and where he felt the building under his feet, he suddenly felt an explosion go off. The flames didn't per say harm him at all...but the impact of the explosion did throw him back a bit. "Hey alchemy guy, I'll give this explosion a little more juice!" he shouted as he snapped his fingers, forcing the flames of the explosion to intensify, a bit more than he planned. "Whoops....Hopefully, no one is caught up in that, or I'll have to kill the flames." he said as he flew back, still peeved about the events that were taking place.

Fighting off the Shadows, JoJo practiced his Hamon Breathing to prepare himself, before jumping into the fight. He couldn't risk getting close, as they seemed like zombies or something of the sort! He had to go for long-ranged attacks, or the farthest that his attacks would let him reach. There was "that" technique that he could use, but it was so unpleasant...


"ZOOM PUNCH!" He yelled. Using his Hamon, he disconnected some of the bones in his arm and let his wrist fly forward as far as his skin would hold back the bones, essentially letting him punch farther than a normal human could reach. It looked unnatural and certainly felt unnatural, but it got the job done. Utilizing his Zoom Punch, he managed to sock one of the Shadows right in the face with enough force to knock it down into the ground with a loud crash!


Turning around, he saw a Shadow attempt to get the jump on him from behind. "Hamon Beat!" JoJo exclaimed, performing another chop attack. Charging his Hamon, the attack let him chop the Shadow's head right off seamlessly like a sharp sword! Of course, as a result, it good some blood on him, and he wasn't really used to that.


"Eyaah! Gross! I'll bet the mafia don't have this problem!" JoJo cried out in disgust, trying to wipe the blood off on a nearby object while the rest of the Shadows advanced on everyone else.


...Aaaand then before he knew it, the building blew up. How could this happen? Why did this happen? This really didn't need to happen! Why was this happ--Boom! JoJo hit the ground, but managed to partially break his long fall with a combination of Sendo and Hamon Breathing. "...O-Ow," he murmured. It still hurt.

The shadow jumped, only to be interrupted by a blast of fire, and the explosion of the building. Annie was thrown into the forest and slammed into a tree, and Ellis flew even farther in then she did, his head bounced from the ground as he landed, knocking him unconscious. Annie fell 10 feet, her body making a loud thud! as it hit the earth below it. She was i nso much pain, and she knew it was still night, and that with the explosion even more Shadow's would come, she prayed to the gods they were safe.
