Hello and welcome to the OOC thread for Multiverses Finest! Feel free to talk and ask questions regarding the rp here.

I might fill some lore related stuff in the first post to set up the setting a bit more, but I'll probably do that some time during the week.

Lore

I'm not going to make this very IC, but I felt like it was a good idea to give some plot. The main thing is that the Marvel and DC characters getting used will be mainly from the main universes of each respective fandom. Earth-616 for Marvel and Earth 0 or Earth Prime for DC. There's going to obviously be some deviations in them but that's the main base for them both.

How they came in contact was that both Marvel vs DC and Avengers/JLA are canon for them and that's how each universe continued to have a relationship with each other. Considering all of the incursions and threats they've had is how they decided on a yearly meeting, which as usual with superheroes turned sour.

In the context of this second expo, they have been sending out feelers to adjacent universes inside their own multiverse as well as beyond to try and more or less network among each other to try and get ideas and maybe even build some sort of multiversal threat preventing system.

That's a few musings I've had, might edit in things here when it comes to me.

The idea is that the heroes are holding a superhero expo of sorts on the schoolground of UA highschool. Think of it as a comic con, except every cosplayer is a real hero lol.

The committee holding the reigns of the expo are made up of mainly Marvel and DC characters who have in turn sent out invitations to superheroes from other universes to attend as like an exchange of ideas as well as potentially bringing them into the fold in a more active role.

So there won't be any specific school activities, just like a big get together and exchange of ideas. They are mainly though trying to keep it a secret to the overall MHA population because the reason why they picked this spot was due to lower to nonexistent threats and multiversal incursions.

But to answer your main question, the character choice is free. If you want to rp a MHA student who just thinks they are walking into an international hero get together that's fine. It's also fine to rp a hero from another universe who has gotten an invite to join in on the superhero expo.

Charles Babel What do you count as "metagaming"? I am just asking early on because Batman does alot of things traditionally that may or may not be interpreted as metagaming, on account of him being one of the most intelligent beings in the DC multiverse.
Is metagaming in this context gaining information that someone would otherwise have not been able to receive? (Example would be Batman knowing each of the heroes and potential threats of each universe including the MHA universe because that's what he does, but he would not have information on like the shampoo brand that Saitama uses or something. I refuse to believe Saitama doesn't shampoo his head as well because no way it gets that shiny without proper cleaning).

I'm not the most familiar in Spawn universe knowledge (Though if there are further interactions that deepen the relationships between our two characters I'll do some research), so please do inform me because I'm not the most knowledgeable. I was under the impression that Spawn is interpreted as a male, and was depicted by Albert Simmons. Would Batman be familiar with this alternate female version of Spawn from the get go, or would Batman understand that this spawn is of an alternate genderbent universe?

I just Genderbent him I am not bothering with going with infinate alternate versions as multiverse isn't a spawn thing. So if you wanted to include that Batman of that crossover then yeah he would have met her

Those were souls Inside him and I really don't want to deal with the god spawn stuff. All other spawn are like loyal to hell or dead

I'm not sure about cosmo as he seems more of an anti-hero or a semi-hero (He did help the GotG which are heroes), but Sersi is DEFINITELY a hero. She literally went against her programming and understanding to do what she believes is right, which is a hero thing to do

But yeah frank Miller did that so the whole cross over was odd in cannon spawn being a bad fighter despite that being his thing and Batman just being a dick

I would never call cosmo Anti-hero. He's definitely on the "hero" side of things.
