It is said on the first day man was granted a soul and with clarity. Upon the second day upon the earth was planted an irrevocable poison. A soul devouring demon, the old one. That is the story at least. What is known is that in a time long forgotten the world was at peace thanks to the souls arts. The greed of man woke the old one and it enveloped the world win in a colorless fog that erased all the lands consumed. The beings known as the monumental managed to seal the old one below the nexus and mend the world. This is another story one written by the winner. It is said greed woke the old one, and those that are greedy become demons, so the first demon would be the strongest and most greedy wouldn't it?

Well, it has a single move that makes a huge explosion like a big gun but I digress. He's also ridiculously durable kinda like Yang.

Blake is Cool, I think yang is better due to her hotheadedness, I do like Salem due to her backstory and being the main antagonist,I also like Roman because at times i think he's funny and he sounds very sassy whenever he says something.

The truth, it as always more complex than the legends tell. It starts in a kingdom that is no more in a land that has been lost. The demon that would be known as the maiden in black was a human in these days and was a great and beloved queen. It was in her reign that the kingdom concurred the known world and the soul arts blossomed to the point that masters of them like the queen herself were near god like. The queen herself would cast down death and become immortal and unageing an eternal beauty to rule her eternal empire. Still there was more to the world than the queen and her rule, for in those days a god that made the world and gave man souls was worshiped, yet it was silent seemingly unwilling to answer the prayers of the faithful. As the soul arts grew in power and Queen became eternal people chose instead to venerate her. The queen was no humble being, she adored the veneration and encouraged it, we wore the finest clothes and ate the finest foods, anything and everything in the world was hers when she wanted it. The queen became a self absorbed tyrant, that cared only for herself and her power, demanding more from the enthralled masses. No matter how cruel she might have gotten the people cheered and loved her as if in a spell. As the queen became a goddess to her people the god of old was left, his churches crumbling and only a sacred tree left to remember him by and yet he was silent.

Ages would go by and the now immortal queen would desire more than what she had. The world was hers, the riches were hers, the greatest artisan's works were hers, what more could she want from the world. What the queen wanted now was a child, yet no one had realized that the same process that had made her and others immortal also stripped them of their ability to have children. The queen would call the greatest of men and try to concive a child over and over only to grow tired and disgusted with the act. While the queen had been trying to have a child and having no luck she had ordered her magisters to find a way to fix this. Through the land great men and women of power and skill were called to help the queen. These wise men would create elixir and artifact in a vain attempt to and their queen. For years the search went on till one day a priest of the almost forgotten God appeared on the court. The queen almost had the man thrown out for even showing up.

The priest would denounce the queen claiming her to be evil and the soul arts to be blasphemy. He claimed her inability to have a child was a punishment from the god. The queen angered by the priest didn't have him kicked out or killed instead he was to be sent to the dungeons. He would become sonething of a stress toy for the queen as she could keep him alive through any torture only to restore him when she was done. In time the queen would grow tired of the idea of having a child and decided to make one. The priest after years of torture had never stopped his rambling and the magisters of tge queen had grown worried by her obsession. Still no one dared to speak aginst her even as she decided to commit ultimate blasphemy.

The priest would be dragged out of the dungeon to the god tree where a huge crowd had gathered. The queen had decided she what she would use to make her wish cone true, the tree fir a body and a soul she would make. Only the god had made souls, but the queen in her power and vanity had decided she could do it. The priest was forced to watch the great ritual that would end the kingdom.

The ritual to create a soul must have been the lady straw or perhaps the first time the silent god god noticed anything, or perhaps the endeavor was always doomed. The great ritual to create a soul when array what should have been a great radiant soul of light was a hungering voice and the body that should have been a perfect human twisted and bloated. The thing breathed and colorless fog flooded the city. The old one was born and with it came demons the first being the queen its mother.

The fog would spread and the demons March out draining the world of souls and slowly erasing it to satisfy the old ones hunger. When the world seemed about to fall abd ve dissolved into the fog the magisters who had managed to flee the ritual returned. With great power they journeyed into the fog and struck down the demons. With their own great rituals they would strike down the once queen who now killed draining souks woth just a look. They tore off her finery and bound her spells as they poured enchanted wax into eyes and renatricted her power. Then using enchanted binding they bound her form. They would force her to lull the old one to sleep. These magisters would hide the truth and call themselves the monumentals, heroes that saved the world. The old castle would become their home the bexus and the queen made a slave to tend to them and the candles.
