Monsters Have Pets, They're Called Humans.

"The edible parts are the milk and the white fleshy stuff on the inside." Tero said, putting the coconut in front of Kiara.

"Fruits can have milk too?" she asked, looking confused yet fascinated. She lifted up the big fruit and took a sip of the liquid inside. It tasted odd but it was good. Kiara started drinking the milk, enjoying the strange tasted. She felt that something was changing inside her, the more she drank the stronger it grew. She felt somehow... alive.

Tero could see Kiara glow a nice shade of green, just like the stone they planted the tree over. "Yes, fruits can have milk, any type of coconut." Tero said.

Once she had drained the fruit of its milk she started eating the white flesh. It tasted just as odd but she liked the taste. When you are used to apples, pears and grapes a coconut can only be something magical. Kiara felt so much stronger, and it only urged her to finish the fruit, all at once. By the time swallowed the last bit she felt sick, but it was worth it. She felt somehow light, refreshed.

"Okay, so focus on the empty coconut shell." Tero said, placing it in the sand away from her. He was exited to see what magical power the coconut granted her use of.

Kiara took a deep breath and closed her eyes, focusing on the empty shell. She could feel the magic flow through her body and she held out her right hand, a gentle green light with leaf-like sparks appeared in it. The coconut shell started glowing in this green light and disappeared underground, only to be reborn as a sapling. Kiara's eyes widened in awe and she looked at Tero to see his reaction.

Tero smiled, she had magic, now all she needed to do was train. "Now try and make the sapling grow." He said, looking at it.

Kiara nodded and kept up her focus, slowly raising her hand - the sapling grew a little. Getting an idea Kiara quickly rose her hand above her head, as a result the sapling shot up and grew rapidly into a fully developed palm. Kiara fell on her butt in his hand, she hadn't considered the loss of energy...

"I'm fine. I didn't know magic can make you tired" she said, looking up to him a little exhausted. "Am I doing a good job?" she asked, smiling at him.

"Yes, you're doing a great job." Tero said, smiling. "In fact, I'd like some of those powers, too." He said, putting Kiara down with another one of his hands shooting to the top of the elemental Palm Tree and bringing a large coconut back to him. He took the first layer off, took the top off, and ate the milk and flesh out of the coconut. "Now let me try." He said, using his new found nature magic. He focused on the shell of the coconut he just ate, though instead of the coconut growing instantly like it did with Kiara, some thorns shot out of Tero's hands.

"Maybe you are too aggressive for this element" Kiara said, looking at the thorns. She thought that it depends on one's personality, one's own nature how one's magic shows itself. She was calm and she loved to see things blossom, while he had wrecked her home just to get her.

"Eh, no. Not really." Tero said, shooting more thorns into the ground. "Try to make something grow from the thorns."

Kiara thought for a moment, what could you grow out of a thorn? Hmm... Roses! She used the same hand gesture like with the coconut and each thorn grew into a beautiful rose.

"Pretty good!" Tero said. "What do you want to do now?" He asked. "You have pretty much mastered your current magic, so what do you want to do?"

"Sleep..." she murmured, rubbing her eyes drowsily. Learning and mastering her magic had drained her of her energy. She climbed onto one of his hands and got comfortable, closing her eyes as she dozed off.

Tero floated back to their home, which was not far away. The hand holding Kiara went into the cage that Kiara sleeps in. Tero went outside to go search for a portal they could use later.

Kiara slept peacefully in her bed until her energy was completely restored. When she woke up slowly she grabbed one of her plushies and cuddled it. She still wondered if there were other monsters like him, and if so, did they also have pets? She stayed in bed until her owner returned, wondering what he wanted to do next.

Tero returned a short while later. "I found a portal to another place, a sacred tower, to be specific. Want to go?" He asked.

"What are we gonna do there?" she asked, hopping out of bed and placing the stuffed animal on the pillow before heading towards the cage door.

"We're just going to look around, not kill anybody." Tero said, "I want to see what religions you humans have."

"Why are you interested in religion?" Kiara asked, finding it odd that a monster would think about things like that.

"Well, you know how I have you as a pet, I chose a human and not an elf or something because humans fascinated me most. Unlike elves or dwarves and other races like that, humans can learn any magic, but don't start with any. And while other races have a certain religion, humans believe whatever they want." Tero said.
