Mission 04: Waaagh! Bonebreaka [One Man Army]

Finding himself sliding across the forest floor with his bike, his right leg pinned beneath its bulk, he contorts his left leg to get the foot onto the left handlebar, shift his left hand to join with his right on the right handlebar, and heaves in hope of twisting the front wheel to the right and use it as a lever to free his trapped leg.


"By DORN, I will not START nor END this fight on my BACK!" he bellows in defiance.
 
There are approximately 20 orks rushing you. They are not yet in melee, but are within 10m.


Both of you act before orks.
 
Tarlocke picks up speed, moving 20 m before turning to the left and flooring the throttle for an additional 20 m.


(Floor it!)

"Position," Tarlocke retorted. "I could not simply turn around, or I would rush straight into them and I would lose the advantage of this bike's guns."
 
Krieg backs up (3 m), hoping to stretch the distance between himself and the oncoming horde. He snaps off a single shot, dropping one ork.


The orks advance, unable to charge, but they are close now, only 6 m away.


OOC- Tarlocke acts next
 
Tarlocke drives another twenty metres, then takes a turn to face the orks. He then opens fire with the twin-linked bolters.


(BS = 42-10 +20 = 52)

OOC- Just for my clarification Rowgen, Tarlocke has now moved 40 meters back and 20 meters to the side of Krieg?
 
OOC: He drove 20 m, turned left and drove 40 m, and then turned left again so he'd be pointing straight back at the orks who were behind him.
 
OOC- ok. That puts you 44 m away from Krieg. According to pythagoras anyway.


When you shoot TL weapons dont forget it adds +20. You are also at half range. You still miss, but not as badly.


Krieg acts.
 
Been over the numbers again. You got a hit.

Roll damage on 1 shot
 
OOC- hordes cant dodge or have their atracks dodged. They gain 1 extra attack for every magnitude of 10, except the first one they have. They also gain +1d10 damage for every magnitude of 10 they have, except the first one, to a max of +2d10.


IC- an Ork explodes under Tarlockes shot.


Kriegs action.
 
Krieg sighted down his bolter and squeezed a semi-auto burst into the horde, killing 3 orks, and leaving 16, according to his heads up display.


The orks charged, in their zeal to attack they somehow managed to not hit Krieg...


Tarlockes action. If you are shooting into Kriegs melee dont forget the -20 modifier.
 
OOC: I have a 92 threshold... then 72. Yarp.


Tarlocke squeezes the triggers of the bolters once again, and they roar into action.

OOC- Things have slowed of late. I have contacted dr xenon, but no reply. No need to wait for him to reply. Krieg will be dead before the weekend.


IC-


Chainsword roaring, Krieg cuts down one ork while shrugging off blows from others.


Tarlockes action.
 
With a dry click your bolters jam. (OOC- as a full action pass an unmodified BS test to unjam). Fortunately the combat is stale, with neither side landing blows.

The firing mechanism is still jammed. Fortunately Krieg seems to have stalemated the orks facing him.
