Midnight Island [Inactive]

Xavier smiled. "Oh don't worry, you aren't a bother at all." He closed his eyes and tilted his head back, letting the sunlight warm his face. It was extremely good weather, even for the island. But it was ironic, Xavier thought, with all the humans and vampires scattered about and ready or trying to kill each other. Listening to Clara, Xavier smiled then laughed. "Uh, no, I don't know everything. Not even close. I've got a basic idea of what some stuff is, but lost on most other things. If I had one question to ask, it'd be..." He thought for a few seconds, then asked, "How many states has the United States gained? That's something I can't piece together on my own."

Clara smiled, glad she wasnt a bother. It was funny, talking to someone who is supposed to be her enemy. She looked to Xavier as he asked his questions.

"There are 50 now." She answered simply. "How many did you remember or think there were?" She asked curiously. Seeing his age,it would be understandable if he thought there was less than 50.

Xavier blinked, thinking for several seconds. "There were 18, but everyone was talking about adding another." He sat up, frowning a little as he stretched his arms. Glancing over at Clara, he smiled. "Guess I'm more lost than I first assumed, huh?" He crossed his legs under him and closed his eyes before taking a deep breath to smell the fresh air. After a moments pause, he opened his green eyes to look into the forest. "This island is extremely ironic, isn't it? Beautiful, with dangerous creatures the only inhabitants," he mused aloud, glancing at Clara without turning his head.

"Wow, 18 huh? That was a while back." Clara said, giggling. She sighed slightly in relaxation as she stared to the sky.

"Yeah...it is pretty ironic. Sort of like a rose. Pretty to look at, but it has dangerous thorns." She responded, with out looking at Xavier and keeping her eyes fixed on the trees. She turned her body to look at Xavier. "So, have you ever thought of trying to leave the island? Even though there is nothing really here to leave off on...but if you could, would you?" Clara asked curiously. It didn't seem like he openly attacks humans like the others, so could he live with in human society with out really being detected?

Xavier sat silently for a few seconds, the question Clara asked him something he himself hadn't thought about in years, probably decades. Finally he answered, "Even if the chance for me to leave came, I don't think I could. I've been gone too long, and would need to drink blood at some point." He looked over at Clara, smiling halfheartedly. "And assuming all humans are just as, if not more so, crazy as you and your group I'd be dead in ten seconds flat," he joked, grinning, but thinking that there was some truth behind his answer.

Clara smiled. "Ah, I see. That's understandable." she replied. "Although....not everyone is as crazy as us...most people think your kind don't even exist, and some go to the extent of putting fake fangs on because they love vampires so much." Clara chuckled. "I guess is would depend on the group." She added. She turned back around to have her back on the ground, looking up to the sky. Clara smiled slightly. She would enjoy this moment of peace as much as she could because she had no idea when trouble would find her again.

Sariel smiled slightly watching him as he spoke, and laid back in the grass. She traced a finger along his jaw line and down his neck to his chest were her hand came to rest against his beating heart.

"I love you." She murmured and laid down beside him, her fingers intertwined with his and she leaned back to lay against him, looking up at the sky, everything for just the moment seemed so peaceful, the clouds floating through the vast blue, unending sky. She exhaled slowly,

"I'm not leaving this island without you, frank." Sariel mumbled her eyes sliding closed, suddenly feeling very tired, she pursed her pale pink lips.

Frank looked at Sariel beside him, he leaned in and kissed her on the lips.

"I love you too Sariel. And I'll go stay with you always, here or at home." Laid back on his back and continued to watch the clouds. He decided he lighted the mood a little. "So what do you want to do when we get home? I'm thinking dinner and a movie." He gave here a confident smile, saying that it was indeed a 'when' not an 'if' about getting home.

Sariel's lips pulled up into a smile, a soft laugh spilling gracefully from her lips, turning her head away from the azure sky, studying the side of his face as he spoke.

"I'm thinking dinner and a movie too, with a wide spread of junk food." She lifted her hands up towards the sky, stretching them out to exaggerate the wide spread of food.

"And for the movie, something funny, that makes you laugh till your sides hurt, that's the best kind." She added her eyes bright with excitement that only Frank seemed to bring out of her. She giggled softly, ending with a soft sigh.

"That'll be the best, what's your favorite kind of movie?" She asked, arching an eyebrow slightly.

Frank laughed at the prospect of junk food and funny movies. Was he actually happy here? Only with Sariel.

"Yeah funny movies are the best. And I could do with pigging out for a while." He gave her a half smile that said he was joking. "But promise me that if I get fat, you get fat too." Frank rolled over and embraced her, giving her a kiss, "Shall we wait out here till the stars come out come out? Though they pale in comparison to you, they are still quite beautiful." He smiled down at her, he wished that he could stay in this momnt forever, no worries, no problems, just the two of them on the beach, enjoying the peace it offered.

Sariel laughed as he rolled over pulling her into his strong arms. She peered up at him, then looked past him up at the dimming sky, a giggle escaping her lips,

"Wow Romeo, that was quite romantic. Curse the stars we can't always be together like this." She chuckled reciting a phrase from the book Romeo and Juliet. She lifted her head slightly pressing her lips to his, happily.

"Of course I'll get fat with you, just as long as you're okay with me loosing my figure." She joked blinking her hazel eyes as she laid her head back in the grass.

"The stars should be out soon." Sariel sighed contently, a small smile lacing her lips. She reached a hand up gently running it through his hair, and delicately along his jaw line, admiring him.

Frank smiled and looked at Sariel

"Why thank you. I'd compare you to a summers day, but it would not be fair to the day." He laughed at the fat comment. "I don't think I mind, but you know what? Let's just stay skinny, it's more fun this way." He looked deep into her eyes, the stars barely out reflecting in them, she was radiant, he thought. He held her hand in his, he truly enjoyed tonight, ha may hate the island, but this spot, at this moment, was the most perfect thing he'ed ever beheld.

Xavier looked over at Clara. "Really? It's not hard to believe humans don't think we're real, even in my time they were starting to think we were myths. But dressing up like one? That's just plain wierd." He grinned a little, then looked at the darkening night sky. It was so peaceful and made Xavier relax, something he hadn't truly done in decades or centuries. A cool wind blew through the trees, rustling the leaves. Sighing, Xavier sat up and looked around with an almost sad expression. "Come on, you humans should be inside when it gets dark."

Clara giggled and nodded. "Yeah. Vampires are pretty popular with some people, especially around Halloween." She added as she looked at the rustling trees. She smiled as she felt the cool breeze brush against her face softly. Clara moved her gaze to Xavier as he stood up and suggest that they should go back inside. She stood up and brushed off any dirt that was on her from the ground and nodded to Xavier. "Yes, I agree. I don't even want to be out here in the dark." Clara chuckled as she began to head inside.

Felix blinked his crimson oculars in the direction of the human cabin, flashing Lamia a handsome crooked grin. Leaning up against a tree he folded his well muscled arms across his broad chest. Peering down at the ground he scuffed his shoe into the soft earth, a soft breeze whispering past them, ruffling his dark brown hair.

"I'm not sure I really want to wait for Darien to give us orders for what to do next." He mumbled outloud, glancing over at the female vampire out of the corner of his eye.

"Want to go mess around a bit?" He asked without waiting over her to answer he grasped the lower branch of the tree with his pale hand and pulled himself lightly onto it, perching there in a cat like manner before he leapt off onto the neighboring tree, turning his head to look over his shoulder at Lamia, his fangs throbbing against the back of his lips.

Darian walked down a dark corridor, his shoes clacking along the dusty, dirty stone floor. 'That imbecilic hybrid... that girl is mine. But why? Why did I mark her? I need answers, and only he can give them to me.' Suddenly, the path he'd been following opened up into a dark, cavernous ampitheater. At the far end, shrowded in shadows, a dark figure stood, chained into the wall. Darian continued walking until he reached the extent of the light reaching into the shadows. He still couldn't see the figure, but that didn't matter. In a rather bitter tone, Darian said, "Hello. It's been quite a while. How are you faring... Father?" With that, quite uncharacteristically, Darian kneeled to the unknown entity.

Xavier nodded and started to walk towards the front of the cabin where he had heard two people talking, but stopped and looked at Clara. "Frank and the other girl are out front. You should probably go get them. It'd be awkward if I did it," he explained, knowing full well that he did not want to be the one to brake the two's little 'conversation' or whatever they were doing. Slipping his hands in his pockets, Xavier looked at the trees, catching sight of a flash of red before it disappeared. He narrowed his gaze, scanning the tree tops carfully and spotting a few bit of natural that didn't belong in the green leaves. "You might wanna hurry, it's getting darker," Xavier said, keeping calm and relaxed so the humans wouldn't freak out about being watched by the island's other inhabitants.

Clara stopped walking and turned to Xavier and nodded. "Yeah...good idea." She replied. "I wont be long. I'll meet you inside." Clara added as she began to walk around the cabin, heading towards the front. When she made her way around, she saw the two together. Clara smiled and said, "Hey you two, sorry to ruin your moment here but we need to head inside. Its getting dark out." She informed as she crossed her arms relaxed slightly.

Xedric rolled over on his bunk, the male coming to land flat on his face as a small wave seemed to rock the boat just a bit. With a grunt, and a quick "What the hell?" He would scamper to his feet before finding where he was, except.. five feet from where he last was, on top bunk of the beds. "Ungh.." He quickly reached up to his bed and pulled on a pair of black jeans, ones that hugged his waist just enough to not require a belt and quickly made his way topside so he could see what the rest of the 'crew' was up to.

The sun shone brightly, and nearly blinded him when he first saw it, though was quick to adjust before calling out as he reached the top of the steps. "I'm up!" He called out, looking around, there was water... water... and an island. They were probably somewhere off the coast, then, at the tip of the border, he assumed.

Clara looked over to see Xedric and smiled. "Hey! You're finally up! You've been knocked out for a while!" She said chuckling and crossing her arms.

Xavier heard a new voice and looked around, spotting a new human guy up and walking around. Stretching, Xavier started going over to see who the new human was and introduce himself so he wouldn't wake up to his head being cut off or something along those lines. "Hey Clara," he called chipperly as he aproached, smiling at her before looking at the guy with fake shock. "Holy crap, another one. Seriously, how many of you are there?"

{Helping to bring life to this!}

((Woo!))

Clara looked over to Xavier and smiled. " this is Xedric. He's been asleep the whole time we've been here, most about." She said, giggling. "This is it, I promise." She added in laughing a little bit. Clara headed towards the door. "I'll meet you guys in." She called as she entered the cabin and sat on the couch.

Xavier raised one eyebrow and looked at Xedric couriously. "How is sleeping that long physically possible?" He shrugged, smiling kindly at the human. "I'm Xavier, and you should probably go inside soon. You've got a lot to catch up with," he added with a small smirk, putting his hands in his pockets and turning to walk back to the cavin, keeping his eyes on the woods in case the others decided to show up.

Clara pulled out her phone and began to play a game that did not require any internet to play, due to the fact that her phone is useless and she doesnt really need to save the battery. She looked over to see Xavier walking in. "Hopefully those three come in soon." She said, somewhat to Xavier but also to herself.
