Master and Neko

Feeling like she had calmed down Angel retracted her arms around Chiko and stood up slowly. Looking up at the boy who was around a head taller than her. She ruffled his hair and smiled slightly.

"Thank you Chiko-"

Suddenly the doors opened and a puffed George entered the room. Seeing that Angel was smiling he let out a sigh of relief.

"Mistress, you should go to bed."

Nodding she went off and George stopped Chiko from following, "I need to talk to you."

(Mind if I make a little dark?)

(No go right ahead ^-^)

Chiko smiled to Angel happy that he was able to help her out, despite just standing there and letting her hold on to him. His purrs luckily stopped once she let him go, and all of a sudden George walked in. He mentioned that it was getting late, as it was dark outside. George didn't seem very happy and Chiko thought it was best for him to leave too, but George stopped him before he has the chance too as looked at George. "O- Of course. Go ahead and talk," Chiko said with a smile, a bit curious of what George was about to tell him.

George waited until he was sure that Angel was gone and turned to face Chiko.

"Thank you Master Chiko."

Going into a deep bow George lent forward and then came back up and faced Chiko.

"Mistress was thinking of doing it again... She was going to attempt to.... To murder herself again..."

(Sorry! I didn't get notifications for someone odd reason... -.-'')

Chiko looked at George politely giving him a bow as he had never gotten one before. It turned even stranger when he decided to call him master. It definitely was a title that didn't fit him. "S- Suicide?! She wanted to commit suicide?!" Chiko exclaimed and looked at George, his eyes were widened as he hardly believed the man's words. Such a cheerful girl attempt suicide? That... that sounded just so absurd! But... it wasn't impossible... was it? "Why?" Chiko asked, but he wasn't expecting an answer as it wasn't his business at all, but since George began he might get to know everything.

(Haha no problem~!)

The old man sighed and nodded slowly, as if the energy had been drained out of his body from just thinking about the subject. Running his old fingers through his silver hair, George looked at Chiko wearily.

"When her father passed away, it was all mi lady could take. Her mother was murdered in front of her and then so was her father. I don't blame her for wanting to join her parents and see them again. The first time she tried to do it was a week after her father's murder, she walked into the lake not stopping allowing herself to sink. Thankfully I noticed that she had gone missing and managed to get her out safely... But once you arrived the fake smile she showed me every day disappeared... It hasn't been that long but I am extremely grateful..."

George bowed down deeply in front of Chiko and stayed bent over.

Chiko's heart fell deep into his shoes when he listened to Angel's past. The thought of losing the whole family to someone else and watching them being killed and this smiling was impressive as George bowed one more time to him, but he didn't look up at him again this time. "Y- You don't need to bow... or call me master... it doesn't fit someone like me. Plus, everything that she has done for me so far the least I can do is make her smile," Chiko answered and rubbed the back of his black hair, before he looked at George again. "Thank you... for letting me stay and all... despite my reputation..." Chiko thanked him, wanting to change the subject as a certain known curiosity ran through him, he could hopefully ask a few questions to, and find some answer.

Rising, George looked at him and gave a small chuckle, "It was due to your reputation that Lady Angel decided to take you in Master Chiko."

Completely ignoring Chiko's plea to drop the 'master' George looked at him with a small twinkle in his eyes.

"Due to my reputation? You know... I didn't have the best reputation you know? Letting a thief for a neko in a rich house like this was quite surprising for me..." Chiko said as he was once again called master, but the look in George's eyes were far too hopeful for him to deny anything the man asked of him. 'He must be really worried about Angel. I wonder if he has been there at all times... like... did he help choosing me out,' Chiko thought and looked at George again. "How is she... you know right now? Thinking that she is in her room alone," Chiko said and looked over at the door, a bit concerned for Angel being left alone at all. In case she tried again.

George gave a soft smile and stepped aside, "You can check on her if you would like... I know you wouldn't harm missus..."

Angel hummed softly as she brushed her hair. I nearly did it again... I bet George is talking about it to Chiko right now... I hope Chiko doesn't stop acting the way he normally does... Sighing she placed the brush down and stared at the mirror in front of her. I wonder how I look to everyone...

"I think I'll just take a quick look... just to see!" Chiko said as he ran off towards Angel's bedroom, trying to remember the way back as Angel's sweet scent helped him along the way. It was a good thing that he wasn't entirely human, or that would have been rather difficult for him. Chiko found himself in front of Angel's bedroom's door as he stopped dead in his track. He was thinking of barging in and make sure she was fine, but he remembered that it was a girl's bedroom. He shouldn't just barge in there, what if she was sleeping? Or maybe wanted some alone time? His cheek turned red at the thought of him actually barging in as he didn't even knock, inatead he leaned his ear on the door. Listening in to her and then perhaps he would enter, just maybe.

Angel sighed softly and stood up silently, making her way to the middle of her room she plopped herself down and noticed the shadow of someone's feet outside her room through the bottom slits of her door. Not knowing who it was she decided to stay quiet and edged herself towards the phone. Just in case. Trying to ignore the shadow she sung softly to herself as she placed herself on the bed watching the shadow carefully.

'Ah... she's singing she must be awake... maybe if I just go in... a quick peek if she's okay...' Chiko thought as he made up his mind and gently knocked on the door. "E- Excuse me... Angel...?" He asked as he gently opened up the door and peeked his red face into the room, looking at Angel by her bed. He didn't want to make it too obvious that he was worried as Angel was an adult, she could take care of himself as he was going through his head for a good excuse to visit her late at night. Most of them seeemed bad, but he kept going through his head with what to do as he had never in his life had a chance to walk into a girl's room like that, he had sneaked into a ton, why was he so nervous right now?

Angel saw the shadow shift slightly and held her breath as the door opened but she gave a sigh of relief as chiko peaked a red face from behind the door. She didn't have to have him say anything, she knew that he was worried about her and she thought the gesture sweet. Chuckling to herself she patted the place beside her on the bed and smiled at him.

"Are you going to stay there all night?"

"Ah... no..." Chiko looked over at the place where Angel patted for him to sit down as he slowly walked over to the bed, sitting down as he held his tail in his hands, playing nervously with it. His head had no good excuse for him being in her room, none that he wanted to share out loud as he looked over at her again, smiling as his cheeks wouldn't stop burning up, why was he so nervous anyway? The countless rooms he had sneaked into and never once thought it was a man's or woman's room. There was something about Angel that made him significantly more nervous, maybe it was because he began to trust her? Or that he had finally found a real friend? He couldn't place his finger on it, as he had to think of something to say to break the silence. "Um... you know... uh... are you... do you... you know..." Chiko struggled to find the right words as he sighed. "Are you okay?" He asked, looking down at his lap playing more with his tail.

Angel smiled softly and stroked Chiko's hair. Not wanting to say anything she nodded her head and leant against his shoulder. It was nice to have someone there with her. Staying beside her as she worried over things by herself. She knew that Chiko could and would help her if she asked despite the fact they had only known each other for two days but she felt at peace with him and sighed softly as she leant against his shoulder. Looking up to him slightly Angel blushed slightly at the closeness of their faces and then quickly looked down again. Why are you blushing!?

Chiko felt Angel's hand on top of his head fighting against the purrs that tried to fight their way out, as he clenched his tail in his hands. Once Angel's head hit his shoulder, the purrs came pouring out as he couldn't stop them even if he had a soundproof wall build inside of him. He glanced down at where her head was placed as his cheeks lit up a second time, looking out the window as Angel still hadn't answered his question, but he had a small feeling she wouldn't answer it at all. Instead he looked out the window as his purrs were the only thing breaking the silence in the room, ignoring most of what was around him except for Angel's breaths against him as he could barely see her red face as well, feeling a bit better now that both of them seemed embarrassed.

Angel lifted her head slowly and took hold of his hand, "Follow me over here."

Leading him to a small veranda Angel smiled as she looked up at the starry sky.

"Beautiful isn't?"

(Sorry been busy~)

Chiko's purrs stopped when Angel grabbed his hand and lead him out to the veranda. It was far from the first time he had stared upon the beauty of the night sky, but it still captivated him as if it was his first. However, while Angel was beside him the starry sky above them seemed better and brighter. Why was everything so different when Angel was close to him? His normal instincts, that was the only thing he had trusted his entire life, couldn't find a way around this girl. They lost to her. How and why? It wasn't until Angel spoke to him that he snapped out of his thoughts. "Ah.. y- yes! It is... I've always loved the night sky," Chiko answered as he looked up, feeling comfortable under the star's blinking lights as they were his only witnesses in his past life, and smiled while staring into their lights.

Angel took a peak at Chiko and smiled softly as she saw him grin at the stars above them. She felt at peace with Chiko, he made her feel like there were certain things that you needed to live for. Why is that... Not wanting to think about the matter Angel brushed the thought aside and began to move towards the corner of her veranda. Smiling slyly at Chiko Angel began to climb up the vine beside the verandah and motioned him to follow her.

"Come on~! There isa better view up here."

(*huggles* Welcome back~! Missed you~!)

(Thank you Waifu-Chan! I missed you too~ *huggles back*)

Chiko watched her walk over to the side of the veranda and grab onto one of the nearby wines. He opened his mouth to tell her it qas dangerous, that she definitely shouldn't climb in the dark, but stopped as he only sighed. They hadn't known each other for long, but telling her what to do seemed as a bad idea, if not an absolute terrible one. Chiko quickly found himself climbing up the wines after Angel, as he checked behind them and beneath them for George, he would definitely snap if he saw them climbing wines on the side of the mansion, but he couldn't deny her either so he went with it... to ensure her safety of course! Nothing else... or that what was he tried to convince himself with, as he knew he didn't want to leave... it felt good to be with her after all.

(Hehe~! How have you been doing?)

Angel skilfully managed to get up onto the roof of her mansion and smiled down at the view below and then back up at the view above. Having years of practice does has its perks... She suddenly remembered her first attempt and found herself collapsing and her legs losing their ability to do anything except lay there. Looking worriedly at Chiko she masked her surprise face quickly with a cheeky grin and motioned him to sit beside her. She knew that if she tried to get up it would become apparent that she was slightly frightened from her memory. But Chiko is here... I can rely on Chiko for a little... right...? Givning another cheeky grin she smiled at Chiko and then looked at the view in front of them.

(I've been doing good~ working hard -.-'' and yourself? :D )

As Chiko is part cat, the climb up was a piece of cake as he quickly found himself looking at Angel already sitting on the top, patting beside her. He quickly made his way over to her side and sat down, looking slightly shyly away as he wrapped his tail around her wrist gently. "J- Just in case you fall off!" Chiko insisted keeping his eyes up on the sky, as he was concerned that she would fall off and hurt herself, but also kept it there as he didn't manage to put his hand there, it refused to move.

(Turned another year older officially yesterday so yeah pretty good for someone who is officially getting older ^^)

Angel smiled as he sat down and looked in surprise as his tail curled around her, she chuckled as he said that it was for protection from her falling off and looked at the sky with a cute stern look on his face. Not wanting to lean against him this time Angel softly stroked his tail and hummed a soft song.

"Thank you..."

(Ah! Waifu-Chan did not inform me of this! *gets secret present* Congratulations my lovely Waifu-Chan! <3)

Chiko felt Angel's hand stroke his tail as he was almost certain that his heart stopped beating for a second when he looked down at her hand. His eyes returned to the starry sky once more as he shook the thought out of his head, trying not to think of her hand, as he usually wouldn't fret this much over it anyway. Everything was so different here, he didn't get it at all... what Angel had done to him and his instincts and his mind and heart. She had somehow turned everything upside down... Wait... he knew that description... was he... was he in love?! Chiko's midnight black eyes looked over to her, his red cheeks barely hidden in the darkness of the night as he examined her, and his heart beat increased by each second he looked at her beauty. 'I- I am in love...' he thought as he moved his eyes eyes to the sky a second time, refusing to look at Angel as it only made his heart a step closer to exploding in his chest.
