You know shit is getting serious when you're starting to use math to make formulas for weapon accuracy bonuses. lmfao

I might have to post a chart of this just so you guys won't have to suffer through calculating all this shit. xD

Please do. Math is my weakest skill so jist be warned the more complex this gets the more I'll be bugging you xD

So I've figured out the right formulas for the weapon accuracy bonus in relation to distance(cause I'm trying to make this grid-based).

Basically, it's 3 sets of formulas. Shotguns and snipers have their own formulas, while pistols, SMGs, and assault rifles share the same formula.

A shotgun will have the more or less the same effective range as pistols, ARs and SMGs, but will have a wider difference in relation to target distance. That's to compensate for the fact that I plan to give shotguns higher damage than ARs. That's to say the closer the target is to a shotgun user, the higher the bonus compared to an AR user. The farther the target, the higher the accuracy penalty too. So it all balances out in my opinion.

Sniper works differently as they have a base effect range that's further than the ARs and Shotguns. In fact, the bonus and penalties work the opposite way for snipers. The further the target, the bigger the bonus accuracy. The closer, the bigger the penalty. I just lessened the variance for balance issues. Wouldn't want to give snipers a +50% to hit chance when shooting great distances. lol

I'm still working on melee hit accuracy. So far, I'm thinking of using a function of the target's agility, and the attacker's dexterity and agility.

Just get the xcom shot calculator, so when you have a 90% shot accuracy you miss but when you have a 25% shot accuracy you hit and get a crit.

Their formulas actually make sense, from a mathematical standpoint. I think it's their RNG that's the problem. lol

Also, know that I'm basing my formulas on theirs. lol
