Fandom Marvel/DC Roleplay: The Collector's Realm

"Cool. Same as me," Barbara shrugged and posted the image onto the internet. After a few seconds of focused silence, she pocketed her phone and looked up Barry. Noticing the conversation already turned awkward, she made a blank face and looked into the coffee shop. Looking at the man, he headed over to the sink and began to pour Barbara's drink. "Noooo... I paid for that..." She whimpered silently to herself with a frown. Barbara didn't get to use Bruce's billions anymore and that was a total waste of good coffee.

Barry grinned, "How do you take your coffee?" now was the perfect opportunity to be a show off. He ran into the shop, using his speed to his advantage and going behind the counter and making a cup of coffee for the girl. He left cash on the counter for barista out of respect before standing back in the same spot and holding it in between the two heroes.

"I like my coffee-" Barbara was about to explain, though Barry left in a gush of wind to presumably get a cup. Though he probably didn't really know what she was about to say meant in the first place. Once again, a gust of wind came and Barry appeared with a cup in his hands. "Uh... Thanks..." Barbara slowly took the cup out of his hands and took a sip. It was decent, though it both wasn't the one she wanted and he probably doesn't make coffee very often anyways. "It's good I guess," She shrugged nonchalantly. Though to make sure he didn't take offence, she added. "I mean it's good! It is."

The Flash narrowed his eyes, seeing through the halfhearted compliment and choosing to ignore it. He tried. Doing stuff in seconds part was cool, the quality of his actions weren't always up to expectations however. He raised an eyebrow under his mask, turning to focus on the streets. Then his gaze shifted to the sky above, things still felt completely off to him. He tuned back around to face Barbara, she didn't seem at all out of it like he was. He assumed his head was just playing tricks on him, maybe the lighting and the superhuman speed had long term effects on his brain.

"Should we go somewhere? Or keep talking on the sidewalk dressed like iconic superheroes." He said, people were bound to approach soon. He'd been put in enough awkward 'can I get a picture with you?' Situations to last a lifetime, he wasn't at all in the mood for another.

"Let me just... Grab my trench coat," Barbara said and backed away slowly for a few steps until turning around and walking full speed. If there was even a full speed for walking. Placing both hands on the edge of the window, she looked back at Barry. "Uh... Don't follow me. Well you could and I wouldn't notice," She shrugged and climbed in. Okay come to me trench coat! She thought to herself and grabbed it. Aha! You've been caught by the deadly Batgirl! She smiled and climbed back out before anyone could notice her.

Kurt had known something was wrong since this morning, nothing had seemed off but at the same time, everything felt off. Regardless he had followed his routine, patrolling the streets of an ungrateful city.

He was perched on a grey concrete rooftop when he noticed them, a group of low lives, bragging about something or another and seemingly discussing a mugging they had either done or intended to do soon.

He was preparing to drop down and take them out, he teleported around the area to ensure no civilians could be harmed however when he returned the thugs were unconscious and two people, a man around Kurt's age and a woman who seemed similar.

As he watched the male suddenly sped off at an inhuman speed, grabbing coffee from a nearby store and back in the blink of an eye, Kurt was shocked by this display and began debating whether to teleport down and talk to them.

After a few minutes of impatient waiting Terry decided to call Bruce. "Hello? Bruce you there?" As soon as he finished his question, there was static just like with the retired Nightwing. Either I'm in another dimension like before... He looked around at old Gotham in amazement. Or I travelled several decades into the past. Hmm... One more try, He thought and called Barbara. "Hello?" Static came again. Yah definitely in one of the two, He sighed and flew downwards.

"Eek blue guy!" Barbara yipped for a second and threw a defensive position at the man. But she wasn't even sure if he was a man. She saw aliens from different planets on a lot of occasions but never a blue one wearing a super suit. Actually... Blue Lanterns... But they don't count! "Who are you and what do you want!?" She asked putting on her intimidating voice.

Miles had been wandering the streets for several hours. Shooting webs towards buildings, lamp posts, and anything else to keep swinging. Miles had thought things were off ever since he started his patrol. Things were familiar yet very different.

Miles swung towards a building realesing his web line just as he reached the wall. He clung to the wall, climbing to the top of the building. A few stories off the ground Miles sat on a ledge, his feet dangling off the edge.

" Something's not right. What is this place?" Miles whispered looking out to a city so different yet the same.

Terry looked below him and saw a strange looking person who seemed to have red streaks everywhere or something. As he flew closer, he saw that it was just some person in a costume. Noticing the color scheme, he seemed like either a villain or he's going for the whole red on black thing he did a few months back. Either way, he wanted to know where he was and talking to civilians as a future Batman would just freak them out. "Hello!? Hi I'm... I'm kinda lost," He called out to the stranger with the web powers. Wow never saw that before.

Barry decided to test himself, seeing how many laps he could run around the building before the girl finally returned. He grinned at himself, new record. Next thing he knew she was yelling and in a defensive stance. In his red suit he stood, ready to make a move. He followed her gaze, wondering what would have made her burst out like she just had. Then again, she did seem to have plenty of energy.

Tony were flying around the Avengers Tower, something were different but it also somehow similar. He tried to Contact Fury and Captain America but all that come is an unknown location.

"Jarvis, did you notice something wrong" said Tony to Jarvis

"Yes sir, it seems my sensors were off, then I can't contact any STARK sattelites. There's also some unknown people a few blocks from here. That I've never find their database anywhere." Answered Jarvis suggesting he's still intact

"Doom ?"

"No signs of him sir, there's also no sign of Ultron, Thanos, Mandarin, or Skull."

"Then what's happened ?"
Mutter Tony as he recognize some building that not supposed to be there

"That one, is one night enough to build a building like that ?"

"I don't think so sir"

When Tony tried to scan the building, he saw something very fast running below him. "Well, what's that"

Ivy watches Harley move over to a clear table and lift herself up, and swinging her legs back and fourth. Ivy looks into her cough mug and continues to listen to Harley go on and on about the Joker, and couldn't help but just roll her eyes. When she looked back over at Harley she notices her droopy hat and pouty face and couldn't resist, "Well Harley, if it means that much to you, if tonight goes well we will plan something big to rescue Mr.J." As much as I don't like the joker, I want Harley to be happy and if that's what makes her happy then who am I to stand in the way.

"I do remember the Harlequin Diamond, and that is going to be a little bit harder to get to due to the laser sensors and the glass box that surrounds it. But we will figure out something to get you that diamond." Ivy was not sure how to get the diamond without tripping alarms but she was sure there was a way. The last thing she wanted to do was to trip an alarm and call the attention of the pitiful justice league. And like she told Harley, if they needed a quick getaway, they had the vial of toxins as a backup.

"Well Harley, we should go over the plan one more time and then make our way to the museum. The dopey security guard should be there soon and we don't want to miss him while he is on his shift." Ivy swings her legs back in front of her and walks toward the plans to go through them one more time before the big event.

Miles was still milling through his day when he heard someone shouting in his direction. When Miles looked towards the voice he jumped slightly. The man who had called to him seemed to be wearing some kind of bat costume. In Miles' experience those in animal themed costumes weren't ever the nicest people, but since his spider-sense didn't alert him of danger Miles figured the guy ment no harm.

" I'm probably just as lost as you, if not more." Miles said hesitantly.

"Aw come on, Ivy! Everything is going to work out great!" Harley Quinn said cheerfully, though she hopped down from the table to go to the one Ivy hovered over, glancing with mild interest at the blueprints. "What's there to mess up? You'll take out the guard, we'll sneak through the museum to where your... things?... are being held, we'll go get my diamond, then we'll get out of there! Most likely with a great big bang!" She said, tracing her finger through the hallways on the blueprints of the museum layout. "I don't even know why you're bringing me along for this, actually. You can handle it yourself." She didn't say it with a malicious voice. Instead she said it with the respect she had for Ivy. She felt the woman could pull almost anything off and would have dropped anything for her. Except Mr. J. She wouldn't drop Mr. J for anyone.

"Soooo... if this goes off without a hitch we're going to free Mr. J?" Harley asked, wanting to reaffirm that that would indeed be the plan. She pushed some of the maps aside on the blueprint table before hopping up onto the piece of furniture and swinging her legs once more. Her gaze was enthusiastic as she watched the ever so smart Ivy continue to go over the plans.

"Soooooooooo...." She started after a moment of staring at the blue prints. "What is it that's yours that's been kept from you?"

@AudreyElisabeth

Kurt shyed back from the woman, taking a few small steps back as he noticed her stance, she clearly knew what she was doing. He opted for the more... Calm option. "hello, I'm Kurt..." he said, trying to show some confidence in his words that his body clearly wasn't showing. The man in the red suit was nearby and Kurt really did not want to fight these people.

Kurt offered a hand out to the woman, trying to seem friendly.

"Hi I'm Batgirl," Barbara smiled and shook his hand. He seemed nice enough, though the last person that acted nice to her attempted to make her a plant zombie. "Wellll... I mean my name isn't actually Batgirl... Y'know I have the whole secret identity thing going on," She shrugged and took a sip of her coffee. "So what planet are you from? I'm guessing that one with all the Blue Lanterns," Barbara asked the mutant while she was sloshing around her drink and she let go of his hand. "Unless you're some mutant thing like Killer Croc."

"I'm guessing you're not lost several decades in the past though," Terry chuckled to himself before going for the serious Batman attitude that he's been working on. "I'm Batman. I mean the new Batman... I've been at it for two years," He smiled. Everyone knew who Batman was. Though the Batman introduction either leads people to think that they did something wrong or they just say 'hi' in a nervous attitude.

Odd it was, being able to walk down the public sidewalk without so much as a scream. Nor a giant luminous bat filling the sky, rivaling the moon for real estate. The most he got was curious looks, mostly at his scars. Only at his scars. This was odd as well, considering the neon orange jump suit he wore, ARKHAM ASYLUM spewed precariously on large block letters across the back of it.

It was like these people were programmed. Given only a few set parameters for what they can do. What they can say, and where they can go.

Where...

Where.....

.....Where is here? It was only now he realized that he hadn't actually known where he was going, nor did he recognize the spralling metropolis. He was simply pulled along on his path. Some sort of psychic magnetism. Psychotic magnetism.

He may not known where he was, or why, for that matter. All that mattered was here was devoid of emotion, chaos and madness. These people, whoever or whatever they were needed to be freed, and shown the tyranny that had been bestowed upon them.

...And who was better to pop a civilizations insanity cherry?

And this, brought that big million dollar smile back to his dace, that almost quite literally reached his ears.

Barry looked at the man with a blank expression, letting Batgirl do the talking. He took a rushed step forward, reaching his hand out for a handshake faster than he should have, sometimes he got ahead of himself, his powers working faster than his head. After the girl had introduced herself he did so as well, "The Flash."

He'd never seen all these people before, he wondered if there were so many heroes beyond central city. He'd heard of some other big names, he thought about whether he too was a known name. The girl recognized him, that was at least one person.

Stroking his chin Miles spoke

" Batman. Hmm… Can't say I've ever heard of a Batman." He continued " I'm Spider-Man, or at least the new one… o-of my city." It was still almost strange for Miles to call himself The Spider-Man considering all of the others.

It took a second but Miles realized what else the Batman had said. " Decades in the past? This looks nothing like New York would have looked like. " Miles stood clasping his hands behind his head. " It's going to be one of those days isn't it?" He laughed to himself.

"Well. Those spider powers are pretty schway," Terry grinned. He decided to ignore how the guy didn't know who Batman was. Though he didn't know anyone named Spider-Man as well. Though he decided to keep his mouth shut. Remembering that 'schway' was future slang, he decided to clarify. "That's future for awesome by the way," He nodded at his own answer and he began to think who he should talk to. Hm... I could fly over to the batcave if it's at the same area in the future... Maybe I could even see old man Bruce in action. Or I could go talk to Commisoner Barbara... I mean Batgirl...

With the help of his newly discovered psy(ot)chic magnetism, it didn't take too long to track down his dearest friend and protege. Harley was a darling girl, with bright ambitions and focus. They were simply aimed in the wrong direction, and done for the wrong reasons. He had freed her. Put her on the path of acting not for others, but for herself.

Do what thou wilt. And she did with flying colors.

He could feel a slight tingle in his fingers. Feel her inside this barrier that declared quite emphatically "HAZARDOUS MATERIAL - KEEP OUT"

Joker remineced that same label once placed on his mind. And the eager and dashing Dr. Quinzel who so courageously took on the task of analyzing him. Day in, day out. Asking, so stubbornly, the same monotonous questions. Do you know your name? What year is it? Who is the President of the United States? And every day he sat there, illuminated by only the dim, warm orange light of the meeting room.

Smiling ear to ear. Every day.

And every day she came back.

He so fondly remembers the day that he interuppted her routine. She had been so eager and persistent to speak to him, that he figured she MUST be genuine.

"Let me...Let..Me...Let me ask you a question Doc-Tor.."

He leaned forward, fully bathing his face in the incandescent light from above. The room was still, even the roaches holding their breaths. His head canted slightly to the side.

"Do you wanna know how I got these scars?"

And the rest, as they say, was history.

History that led him here to this plant infested getaway, his maniacal laugh serving as his foreboding battle cry.

(AudreyElisabeth is not feeling very good and has given me permission to write for Ivy for this post :) )

Ivy continued to roll her eyes at her friend's ridiculous comments, her own attention continuing to peruse the blueprints as she made sure to lay out the plan perfectly in her mind so that it would go off without a hitch. She nodded at Harley's question, not wanting to grace that with an answer. She didn't understand why Harley was so caught up on the Joker... She was about to answer Harley's question about what the museum had when maniacal laughter began to echo through the warehouse.

"Mr. J!" Harley squealed, immediately taking off in the direction the voice was originating from. "Mr. J! Mr. J! You're out of prison!" She squealed, leaping into his arms and placing an enthusiastic kiss to his cheek. "Oh Puddin', I've missed you so much! I tried to break you out of jail, you know, but that mean old Batman got in my way." She said, pouting. "Ivy here was gonna help me get you out, though!" She said, gesturing to the woman in green.

"What do you want, Joker?" Ivy asked, anger detectable in her tone as she faced Joker.

@Aevum

One-Above-All was looking down at the earth, the blue, white and green orb that was home to the humans. He had been there since the beginning of time, watching them grow and develop, making massive and powerful civilizations. He was there through every virtue and trial they had ever had, and at times he even saved them. He knew all of their names, their stories and their hardships, including the ones that were special, both good and evil. He was in a state of concentration, deciding whether or not he should help them anymore, to let them handle their own trials and hardships. He remembered when he had tried to give Peter Parker advice, but he had not listened. If there was one thing One-Above-All would never understand, it would be their stubbornness and ignorance. He knew that this dimension wasn't their own, and he had figured that he should help the ones trapped within it, if they actually needed his help. The Collector was a strange one, and his habits of collecting has caused problems time and time again. One-Above-All wondered if another like him would come along and partake in this twisted game.

The Presence was minding his own business in subspace, not thinking much of it. He was aware that he was within The Collector's alternate universe, but he wasn't concern about the whole situation. Heck, it was actually a nice change in pace. He was a bit interested in seeing how the others may interact with one another. Still floating around in subspace, The Presence made a picnic table with two chairs around it. On the picnic table, there were two plates with peanut-butter and jelly sandwiches. He waited patiently for his new friend to come and have a creative discussion on the scenario they were in now.

The One-Above-All saw another one just like him, and it certainly piqued his interest. Meeting someone such as himself, being the way he was, made this whole situation important to him. He saw The Presence sitting down at a small and quaint picnic table and eating away at a sandwich, peanut butter and jelly, to be in fact. One-Above-All warped over to the empty chair, sitting down and grabbing the sandwich and saying to his friend, "Well, looks like you still have good taste. So, what do you think of this little alternate universe? I personally find it kind of cute." He took a rather large bite, enjoying the mundane feeling of taste.
