Nerissa Orta
“Nice to meet you, Mr. Vyltmheim,” Nerissa replied, her eyes lifting up to gaze at the new arrival. Big. Much larger than anyone she’d seen before. “I’m Nerissa Orta, Priestess of Water and Servant of Aquarius.”
She returned her attention to Scarlet when the female pirate began speaking about One Piece, nodding in response to Scarlet’s answer. Nerissa didn’t know who Spades was, but she agreed with him nonetheless. Gold D’Rodger’s treasure contained more than gems. Knowledge. Nerissa was certain of it. A man who traveled to the Grand Line and beyond, who obtained all the world had to offer, would surely have clues to the answers she sought. “I hope it has books. Lots of books.”
She touched the gem on her forehead as Scarlet contemplated One Piece. Scarlet was daring. Nerissa ascertained that much about the pirate at least. She liked jewels. She was also spontaneous. And honest. “It certainly does,” Nerissa answered thoughtfully as she regarded Scarlet. She wanted to prove others wrong?
Pondering the notion, Nerissa was caught off guard when Scarlet suddenly asked if she and Skorigg wanted to join her. She blinked in surprise. “You want me to?”
Nerissa wasn’t disinclined to join a pirate crew. She simply didn’t think there was any pirate-like quality about her that would make a pirate Captain want her aboard. Though, the thought of finding One Piece did appeal to her. And traveling with Scarlet did sound like a lot of fun. While Nerissa hesitated, another man approached. Another pirate…right? He was at a pirate’s meeting after all.
“Do you mean the ancient scriptures that Aquarius’s words are written in?” Nerissa asked the new person who joined them, her eyes brightening in uncontained excitement as she closed in on the man's personal space. Nerissa gazed up at his face searchingly. “One of them leads to One Piece? Truly?”
That settled it. There was a connection between One Piece, the void century, and Aquarius who existed during that mysterious time. “I must find it,” Nerissa declared. Then realizing how forward she was being, Nerissa blushed and took a step back. Taking a moment to compose herself, she turned to Scarlet, a serene smile on her face. “I’d love to join you Miss Scarlet. Let’s work together to find the Pirate King's treasure.”

Arlen Hakhassi
Arlen saw a flash of silver as one particular fellow drew a weapon from behind. Pirates. Of course they’d fight dirty. The Leviathan was about to respond, knock the weapon from his assailant’s hand, but he didn’t have to. The Mohawk woman lady did it for him. It was the same one who called for them to take the fight outside.
“You’re awfully nice aren’t you, Lady,” Arlen said as he shot her a winning smile. “Helping a stranger out when you don’t have to.”
The unammed thug who tried to extort money from him snarled and charged like a bull. Really? Weaving out of the way at the last second, Arlen tripped the larger man, while his long fingers entangled themselves in the thug’s greasy hair and shoved the man’s face to the ground. Positioning himself atop of the body, Arlen locked his legs in place, straddling the man so he couldn’t move.
“My name isn’t boy. It’s Arlen. Or you can call me Leviathan. Whichever you prefer.” Arlen said cheerily to the frigid woman. “And I’m not trying to impress. I’m just showing all the meat-heads out there that I won’t be bullied. Setting an example so no one in this pirate-filled town will take me for a weakling to extorted from.”
Despite the man's struggling, Arlen kept the thug's face pressed to the ground until oxygen deprivation, or rather carbon dioxide build up, caused the man to pass out. “It’s not that I particularly like fighting.”
A blatant lie. But the Mohawk lady didn’t know that. Or perhaps she did. He couldn’t exactly read her blank face. She was treating him like a kid. As if he didn’t know the first thing about a fight. That irritated him somewhat. Stepping over the body, Arlen smiled at her and winked. “Though, if you want to talk, I’ll finish this quickly. Never good to keep a lady waiting or so my mother told me.”
He drew his scimitar from his waist, spinning it playfully in his hands before letting the blade slide dangerously close to the man’s neck. He cast his eyes over to the crowd of thieves. “I’m feeling nice today. The winner has been determined. Don’t try this again; Otherwise, it’s off with all your heads.”
Kicking the man’s body to his crewmates, Arlen watched them leave before facing the crowd of on-lookers and raising his weapon to air. No one cheered. “Hm, tough crowd.” Sliding the weapon back to its holder at his waist, Arlen stuck his hands in the pocket of his shorts before glancing at the Mohawk lady. “I never did learn your name, Lady.”
