Fantasy Magic Brew Cafè (CLOSED)

"He....That dream...." she paled, gasping as memories of the dream came rushing back. "He...It was horrible," she cried, beginning to explain everything, about hi, her mother, the wounds she had gotten, how it had all felt so horribly really. "It was horrible, absolutely horrible,"she cried, sniffling softly.

"You were haunted by a nightmare, then," Vincent murmured, the realization of what had happened, and what could have happened hitting him like a punch to the stomach, "It wasn't real," He told her sternly, forcing her to look at him, "It really, truly wasn't."

"It felt real!" Ellie cried, looking up at Vinny, her eyes wide with fear, "Vinny, everything I've ever feared, was thrown at me all at once,"Ellie whimpered softly, as tears began rolling down her cheeks. " My mother, dying and worst of all losing you!" She sobbed, burying her face in his shoulder.

"You need to calm down, or you'll have a panic attack," Vincent told her, his fingers running themselves through her cerulean locks, "I want you to look around the room, and tell me everything you see that's blue, can you do that?" He asked gently, hugging her.

Ellie's eyes darted around the room searching my blue items until the finally landed on a book thrown haphazardly on the floor," T-that book..." She began, begining her search again," two more books, the bottom of the curtains... My shorts..." She rambled on her breathing slowing down. Finally looking up at Vinny, her breathing almost back to normal," Your hair..." She said calmly.

"Uhm...the sheets, Chomp's newest bowl, the rug..." She murmured softly, lacing her fingers with Vinny's as she focused on breathing and trying to remain calm." I can't think of anything else..." She murmured, looking up at Vinny.

Reaching over to the bedside table, Vincent snatched up Chomp, making the plant give out a indignant squeak of surprise. Holding it up in front of her face, he gave her a reassuring smile, "See, Chomp's bowl is blue, and I think Chomp is hungry," He gave a strained chuckle, snatching his fingers away from the plants snapping jaws before placing it gently down on the bed. The bowl wobbled a little, but stayed still, "My point is that you're more rooted in reality now, excuse the pun."

Ellie nodded slowly, scratching Chomp's head lightly as he squeaked up at her for attention," It all just.... It felt horrible, like I was losing myself," she said, pulling her fingers back as Chomp snapped at them, his signal to stop petting.

"That's what nightmares do," The demon murmured, hugging her to his side with a shaky sigh, "They feed on the fear caused by the terrors they unleash within dreams. I'm going to get you a dream catcher."

"Dream...catcher?..." Repeated uncertainly, looking at Vinny with confusion in her face," Will that help?" She asked, holding Chomp in her lap.

"It might," Vincent shrugged, pursing his lips in thought, "Depends on how strong the nightmare actually is, I guess."

"Oh..." Ellie murmured, placing Chomp back on the nighstand, taking Vinny's hand in here," Don't leave..." She whimpered, fighting to keep her hand from shaking.

"I'm not going to leave," Vincent murmured, wrapping his arms around her form, laying down, "The customers can fend for themselves for a while, you're more important anyway." He cracked a small grin, just holding her for a while, "Besides," He added after a few seconds, "Ollie's down there, I'm sure he has it under control."

.....

Ollie did most certainly not have it under control. When Buckley had suddenly ran up the stairs, courtesy of the sudden, terrified screams that had rung throughout the entire cafe, he had not said anything about when he would be back. Oliver was sitting on top of the bar counter, trying to take orders shouted out from the upset, thirsty customers, and failing miserably, "I don't know how to make a dry martini!" He exclaimed, glaring at a woodland nymph, who had requested the drink for the forth time, "And I don't know when he'll be back!"

The imp ducked out of the way as the nymph chucked a fat chestnut at him, before crossing his rainbow clad arms over his chest, "That's just rude!"

Ellie nodded, resting her head on Vinny's shoulder, smiling softly. "I love you Vinny," she smiled, hugging Vinny to her, feeling his heat invade her body even through her clothes.

Ellie stirred in Vinny's arms, wrapping her arms around Vinny's neck burying her face in his neck as she placed a kiss on the nap of his neck. "Vinny," she murmured softly as if his name was some ancient prayer to bring peace to her raging mind. Ellie pulled her self closer to Vinny, looking up at him with infinite love and passion in her eyes. "I'm sorry...I'm always causing trouble aren't I?..." she murmured softly, entwining her fingers in the back of his shirt.

"Don't be silly," The demon murmured, smiling softly, "You don't have to apologize for things you have no control over. This wasn't your fault, Ellie."

Ellie looked up at him, her eyes burning with intensity,"It happened because I'm not strong enough to stop! I keep having to lean on everyone for support....I'm supposed the incarnate of the great warrior, and yet I can't do anything to defend myself!" she vented, tightening her grip on Vinny's shirt. Ellie sighed, letting out a halfhearted whimper, burying her face in Vinny's chest,"I'm not strong....I'm not strong at all," she whimpered, her fingers loosening from Vinny's shirt.

"On the contrary, you're one of the strongest people I know," Vincent told her seriously, nodding his head slightly in agreement to his words, "You mustn't forget everything you've accomplished, Ellie. You got captured and held hostage by the hunters, and still you managed to keep calm enough to soothe the other witches you were captured with. I wasn't there then, was I? And you've saved my life numerous times in the past. And you're raising a Nero-Snap, a plant that grown demons hesitate to go near."

The demon chuckled, "Even great warriors get nightmares, Ellie. Only the really strong ones manage to keep their sanity afterwards." He grabbed her by the shoulders, making her look at him, "Are you insane yet?"

Ellie smiled sadly, tears falling down her cheeks, "Not yet....But I'm afraid I'm getting close...I don't know how much more I can take..." she whimpered, rubbing some tears of her face.

Ase sat staring at the door of her office , the only noise that could be heard now was the work Excalibur was doing. After what seemed like an hour Ase sighed and got up from her chair leaving the quill in the well and the papers untouched , all the responsibility was killing her slowly. She left Excalibur to finish up and left for the gates , the sooner she got back to the apartment the sooner she got to rest and take her mind off things.

Maria yawned, stretching her arms above her head as she tried to focus on the tv in front of her, even though she found the current channel it was on god awful, "Ugh...I hate late work nights.." she muttered under her breath, resting her head on the arm of the couch, blinking her eyes to keep awake. She usually stayed up late for Ase when she had to work late nights like this, one because she wanted to talk about her day with the angel, and two because she had found it impossible to fall asleep in her bed alone now that she had grown accustomed to having the girl lie next to her.

"I know age old demons who have fallen victim to the madness inflicted by some nightmares," Vincent told her, his thumb tracing her cheekbone, gently wiping away her tears, "Some who have never recovered from the horrors they witnessed within their own minds. The fact that you're still coherent, and apologizing no less, is just another proof of your mental strength. Not that you should need any more proof, Ellie, you're amazing." He smiled.

Ellie blushed, opening her mouth to say something when she heard a crash downstairs, followed by what sounded like a lot of very angry voices. "Are you sure Oliver is ok by himself in charge of the cafe?..." she asked wearily, a fain smile on her face as she sat up in bed.

Ase smiled as she unlocked the door she made her way into the hall locking the door behind her. She quietly made her way into the sitting room where she Marie laying on the couch "hey how was the shopping thingi or other?" she asked sitting down in the armchair
