Sorry about that. I approve of the next posts having timeskips to the next day. What happens the next day I haven't figured out yet. It's a Saturday, so go wild.

maybe we could do side stories for folks to focus on until the next big plot point, maybe they get to set up certain interactions to develop certain relationships or dynamics

These ideas are pretty good. How about all characters separate for the weekend? I don't think they know or like each other enough yet to seek out each other's companionship for weekend activities. It'll give everyone an opportunity for solo-writing, and then they can all meet back up on a train again Monday. In character it's currently Friday, so that's a good amount of time and freedom for them to do whatever they need/want/get forced by circumstances to do. I may be biased towards this plan because I already know what I'm going to write.
