Demon King Lucius Virgil Rugia

@The Dragon Rider ,
@Nikolajsen, @Defective Kitten

Lucius sighs.
"Fine then. If you are all so opposed to me sacrificing some human girl, get some yourself. Obtain five and a half liters of O-Negative blood by the day before the dance, and we will use it." He pauses, letting the requirement sink in. "If you fail, I will either snatch some blood from an unsuspecting student or, if none is obtained, sacrifice a person. Good? Good."

Lorelei almost jumped out of her skin when she heard the amount of blood they had to collect. "
Five and a half litres?! Were you thinking of draining the poor girl dry?!" She exclaimed, throwing her hands out and nearly slapping a love struck Takao while she was at it. "Ah, sorry," Lorelei quickly apologized before whipping back around to berate Lucius. "Is it possible if we could use an animal for the sacrifice? Perhaps a pig?" The mermaid-turned-human suggested, having heard of animal sacrificial magic as well as human sacrifices. It could be done as animals have blood types as well, right? It would be harder to track them down but it wasn't as criminal as murder.

"
Izaria! We can't do that! Earthling law deems that illegal!" Lorelei did her best to divert the decision away from human sacrifice, opting for a less mentally scarring version of animal sacrifice. Turning to Elle, Lorelei clasped her hands together and smiled nervously. "Right, Elle? Killing a girl would be bad." The plan seemed almost ludicrous but if it would get them back to Sofya, Lorelei would do it. She was just strongly against killing someone in the process. Looking around at the native Earthlings, Lorelei ushered them to say something, hoping that they would be able to convince Lucius and Izaria that sacrificing someone was definitely a no go.

@ZaiKai @KroNicc115 @Sen Pai @Lithia @DestinyRed @Nikolajsen

Izaria, not looking up from her book, responded to Lorelei in a very cold voice, "Well the human law doesn't exactly account for mythological creatures crossing the boundaries between dimensions, does it?" She puts the book down onto her lap with a serious expression and speaks. "Look, to be honest I don't care how we obtain the blood, as long as we all get to go back to our respective worlds. I believe that sacrificing someone will be the easiest option. However, if you're going to try to obtain blood through another source, I want to be there." She pauses for a second and lifts the book back into her grip, flipping back to her last page. "That is all. Plan what you'd like." She succumbed back to the depths of her book.

Elle's eyes lit up at the thought of a plan to get out of her engagement. Now she was even more excited to get back home. "I'll go look on the computer to find out if there are any near by blood banks. And yes Lorelei I agree killing a girl would be bad. Worst case scenario bad."

She rushed from the room to look up blood banks... and to look online for costume ideas, but she didn't tell the others about that. She was really excited to go to the dance, and then back home.

Elle quickly found out that there were two blood banks not too far away, one east of them and the other west of them. Then she was on to her costume quest. She quickly discovered that the ladies who lived in this world liked to show quite a bit of skin for the chilly time of year. Sure Fae occasionally wore revealing outfits but nothing like this. Why was there such a thing as a sexy pumpkin? Pumpkins were for lots of things but being sexy was not one of them. There was a sexy cat costume as well and Elle was in hysterics thinking about the cats she knew back home. Most of them were obnoxious, know-it-alls. They knew how to bargain better than most and expected to be treated as Gods. The very thought of one of them being sexy was too much for the Faery. Maybe earth cats were different? At least the cats back home could carry a conversation.

Elle decided to wait and ask the other girls what they were going to dress as before she decided. It might be a fun idea to go as their true self only the earth version. So she could go as what the people of earth expected a Faery to look like.

Walking back to the room she told the others, "I found out that there are two blood banks sort of close by. We could divide into two teams and go get as much as we can?"

(Note: The cats in the Faery Courts are cat siths or Faery cats, they talk and are very wise but vanish into thin air the minute danger is close by.)

"Hm. Pig blood could work," Theo started, leaning off of the table and spinning around to face Izaria and Elle. "And I'd feel bad taking from a blood bank." After all, it was a generous amount of blood from an anonymous donor that assisted in his survival many years ago. The redheaded young man laughed nervously at Lucius, grinning and hoping he could figure out a way to drain blood, specifically negative O, from pigs. "Aha, we'll do our best to collect enough blood. Five and a half litres, was it?" The average pig had about three to three and a half litres of blood. All Theo had to do was buy two pigs from the piggery and be done with it.

Of course, Theo wondered if he really had the stomach to kill a pig. He was always quite the animal lover himself and pigs were very intelligent creatures. "Actually, Graysen, you're okay with killing things, right?" Rubbing the back of his neck, Theo came up with the decision that he would probably cry if he was around to hear the pigs' squeal as they were slaughtered. Those YouTube ads already did a number on him. "Would you kill the pigs if I got them? I love animals and I can't handle killing a cute little pig." Theo coughed as a failed attempt to cover up his last sentence.

"Anyway," Quickly turning away from the group, Theo gave up two thumbs up and began to walk out of the library. "I'm going to go try and figure out a way we can sneak all those microwaves into the Halloween dance." Chuckling lightly as he jogged out of the library, Theo grinned when he saw a certain dance committee chairwoman texting in the middle of the hallway. Slowing down as he approached her, Theo waved his hand in the air, screaming.

"Hey, Esther!"

Esther pocketed her phone when she heard someone call her name. Looking over in the direction of the voice, she spotted Theo Vitalia, waving his arms at her. An amused smile on her face, Esther walked over to Theo, hugging her AP Biology books. The two of them weren't necessarily close, so Esther struggled to think of why he would approach her.

He's probably asking for math notes again--not that he needs them. The kid's a genius.

"Can I help you, Vitalia?"
Esther asked, glancing at her watch. Her next class didn't start for another 20 minutes, and Alayna still hadn't replied to her text. Esther was about to pull out her notes from Calculus when a glint of red hair took her back to that fateful November afternoon.

--------------

Looks of pity and sorrow. Shoulder squeezes, meant to be comforting. People offering to carry her books, to share their Friday ice cream, to be her partner in Gym. Cards of condolences and heartfelt messages. Attempts at light conversation.

None of it mattered. None of it brought her back. And she knew nothing ever would.

Winking in an obviously flirtatious manner, Theo grinned mischievously and leaned against a wall. "Indeed you can, Ms. Bellerose!" Theo ran his hand through his fiery red hair, mimicking some character from Grease. Strutting over to Esther like a male peacock, Theo couldn't help but chuckle and drop his act before shoving his hands into his pockets. "Oh, no. I don't need your Calc. notes, as appreciated as they are." The young man was about to usher Esther's notes back into her bag when he noticed the odd expression on her face.

"Esther, are you alright?" Theo asked bluntly, raising a brow as he scrutinized her face. He was never one for sensitivity when it came to peoples' feelings; even if he did try very hard to be considerate of others. This was a guy who laughed in the face of death after his father cheated on his dear mother. "Did I offend you when I said I didn't want your notes?" Beginning to panic, Theo was always told by his mother to respect girls and never make them cry. "Because it's nothing personal! I just don't need them, that's all." Blabbering on and using many hand gestures, Theo laughed nervously before clearing his throat.

"So, uh, how's the dance committee going?"

"Marriage, huh..." Lucius's gaze becomes distant as his mind dwells on unpleasant things. Things that used to be pleasant but, now thinking about it, become sour and twisted. A smile of joy when he came home safely from an army excursion ... walks in the gardens around Sofya City ... vacations to Istalri and Evea... Lucius's eyes begin to water and fog up, and he sucks in a breath before looking down at the floor. "Pig's blood should work as long as it's O-Negative."

"Esther, are you alright?"

Theo's voice brought her back to reality, where she had to face the harsh truth of life; her mother had been gone for almost 10 years, and it was time Esther moved on.

Forcing a smile on her face, Esther replied,
"Never better, Theodore. Just reeling from your failed attempt at flirting." She laughed, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear as she fumbled with the books in her hands, trying to put her notes back in place. "Dance-wise, we're a bit short-handed in help putting up the decorations--Coach is forcing us to wait until the day before the dance itself to put them up." Esther sighed, the stress and excitement of the upcoming dance pushing all thoughts of her mother aside. Remembering Theo's new friends, she decided to relay the message she'd sent to Alayna to him. "And, uh, if the new kids need help finding costumes, let 'em know I'd be up for taking them around the mall." Esther barely managed to withhold a grimace as the words left her mouth.

It's just the mall, for the love of Cod. It's not like you're taking them to a piggery.

Taken aback for a second, Theo's concerned expression was quickly replaced with a mock offended one. "Haha! Well, I tried." Winking once more at Esther, Theo smiled as he walked beside the girl, shortening his steps. With a permanent smile carved onto his face, Theo listened to Esther's situation with the dance committee and chuckled. It was probably because the coach wanted to get as many practices for the school's sports teams in before the dance decorations were set up. "Hey, if you need any help with the decorations, I'm down." It would be the perfect opportunity to sneak the little machine (that still needed to be built) in.

"Huh," Theo pursed his lips as he thought about what it would be like taking a bunch of aliens to the mall. "I'll relay that information to them, ma'am." Saluting Esther in a robotic manner, Theo wondered what costume he would have to convince the drama department to lend him this time. Last year, Theo decided to saunter into the gymnasium wearing a lovely Shakespeare costume and talking in mock
Shakespearean English. "But, I have to warn you," Laughing softly, Theo gave Esther a pitiful look. "You're going to be in for quite the ride."

Whipping out his phone, Theo quickly added a new contact and handed his
mobile device to Esther. "Here, let's exchange numbers." Taking Esther's books to free the girl's hands, Theo waited patiently for her to add her number into his phone. Hopefully it wasn't a date dump number or anything like that. "So you can text me if you need any help with the decorations, I mean." Theo quickly added, wondering if that would decrease the chance of the number being a fraud.

It's not like she was going to give him the number to a piggery, right?

"Really? That'd be awesome." Esther said, a smile gracing her face as Theo volunteered to help out with the Halloween dance's decor. A few of the decorations were huge-- the enormous, hollow jack-o-lantern the art club had donated just to name one--and would need several hands.

Not to mention the sole couple hours they were given to put everything
else up.

A ball of regret began to form in her stomach at the look of pity in Theo's eyes as he told her about his friends, but she wouldn't let an unpleasant car ride ruin the perfect opportunity to help others.
"I'm sure we'll be fine. You plan on tagging along?" Esther asked, typing her number into Theo's phone as they neared the door to Biology. "Five minutes of conversation and you've already got my number. Impressive, Vitalia." she teased, handing the phone back to him. With a playful wink and a wave, Esther entered AP Biology, a good five minutes early.

Now what am I going to do about this mall trip?

Theo stood, frozen, outside of Esther's biology classroom for a good minute, staring blankly at the girl's number. "...that went better than expected." Spinning around on heel, Theo popped his head into the classroom and blew Esther an exaggerated kiss. "You bet I'm going to be there!" Laughing as he left, Theo sprinted down the hallway, ignoring the other students' yells and protests. "Yahoo!" Jumping up into the air, Theo threw his fist up. It wasn't everyday that he got a girl's phone number but he was also one more step closer to opening up that magic portal for his alien friends.

Charging back into the library, Theo pulled a chair out from a student who was just about to sit down. "Good news. We're going to the mall." Theo stated, grinning cheekily at the aliens. Taking out his phone once more, Theo glanced between his alien friends and his phone as he texted the number he was given. "Esther's bringing us to the mall to help pick out costumes, capisce?" Perhaps Theo could use that time to stop by the
piggery and buy a pig or two? Or snag a costume for himself. After all, you can't go to a costume party without a costume.

Lucius thinks a moment. "That is good ... I suppose. We must fit in - perhaps I can find a nice Demon Lord costume?" He glances around, not getting the reaction he was looking for. It was an awful attempt at lightening my own mood anyway. His brows crease a bit. "I wonder what the head of this school is doing. Why does he not do anything to protest our antics, hmm?"

"Does anyone have anything in mind for their costume?" Elle asked her companions. "We could coordinate costumes if anyone is going together." She really wasn't sure what to go as, only that she would not be dressing as a sexy pumpkin. In between their mission she had read a few earth legends and stories, there was one she really liked about a girl named Persephone, so that might be a good costume. She would need a dress and some flowers to make the costume. It seemed easy enough and the flowers were Elle's style being Fae.

Takao Kieran: Hero of Sofya

@Lithia

Takao thought of all of the possibilities for this so called party, and well as obtaining..5 or so liters of blood..jeez thats a lot. But the forefront of his mind, a costume. Maybe a warrior or something, or even a god..all of the possibilities. One thing was for sure however..Takao needed a date to this party..the only one who would probably have somewhat of an interest in him was either Elle, or Lorelei.. "I was thinking of maybe dressing up as a warrior..something like how I looked back in Sofya..Maybe we should all do that, dress as if we were still in Sofya!"

yItKlkK.jpg
Ellowyn Autumnleaf

Elle smiled at Takao's idea of dressing as themselves. She really liked the idea of wearing Fae formal wear. She could just be herself and none of the humans would even know the difference. "I think that's a great idea Takao," Elle said, already planning her costume in her head. She needed the distraction anyway, the thought of hurting poor innocent pigs turned her stomach. She did not want to be anywhere near them when they met their end.

(My apologizes that i haven't responded for the past 2-3 days. Monday I was at Six Flags all day, Tuesday i was doing AP Homework +Band practice all day as well, than today was the first day back to school.. But I've read through all the new posts so I'm all caught up!)

Greysen had zoned out for a bit in the conversation, mostly putting forth all her focus on getting the tricky strawberry at the end of the custard cup. This damned strawberry! Once the berry was finally on the spoon a smirk crept onto her face in pure satisfaction but snapping back into reality when Theo made the remark about her not having a problem killing a mere pig. "I have no problem killing an animal. I did it plenty back in Sofya, hunting animals much larger and aggressive than a pig. I'm also okay with killing humans as well. I've taken more lives than one human, one more won't change anything." Greysen mumbled the last part before continuing on, "Just give me a blade of some sort." Being completely dead serious as she spoke, her expression dull and rather serious as she spoke to Theo who left right after. Looking back down at her cup, the strawberry had fallen out of the spoon and back into the glass cup. All her hard work for nothing! The look of defeat was obvious in her face, What logic is this?!

When Takao came up with the idea of dressing as we were back in Sofya, Greysen was all for the idea before she shifted, feeling a jiggle on his chest and remembered that it would be impossible at his state. Letting out a sigh she glanced up at Takao from the corner of her eye,
"It's a spectacular plan.. for you guys.. Unfortunately it seems a bit out of my reach at the moment." Cupping her breasts to demonstrate why it would be somewhat difficult to achieve her almighty exterior, "See?" Obviously she had gotten used to the female body but not the female etiquette just yet.

"Greysen," Lucius says in his usual commanding voice. He's had enough of his general's whining. "You are female for the time being and you are going to enjoy it. No more of this pouting or I'll personally see to it once we get back that Izaria skins you." He pauses. "Besides, I'm sure you could work something out. Take your old Sofyan outfit and make it more fitting for a female, yes? It shouldn't be too hard." Lucius thinks for a few more moments. "I'm not sure were I'll get a suit of armor like mine back home, though... But it shouldn't matter. None of it should matter. We will be preoccupied with getting home and being ourselves for real, yes? No more of this silly pretending." He looks down at the ground. "Imagination ... is a children's game."

It had been a few that she had heard his King's commanding voice, Greysen had almost forgotten what it sounded like and she remembered the wonderful tone of it. "Yes sir, I would hate to be punished by my dear general Izaria." She looked up at Izaria with a rather cheeky grin. "Oh and don't worry, I've been enjoying this body is mine quite well. I get free food on occasion and sometimes some drinks." Smiling up at Lucius as she leaned forward on the table in front of them, the tone of her voice seeming to be the calm yet sarcastic tone that it was normally back in Sofya.

"I'll just dress up as a general, or warrior since those are the closest things I can possibly think of at the moment.." She let out a sigh at his attention immediately flipping over to going home which she herself didn't mind but felt like working day and night was a bit over the top. I guess this is the price for returning home.. "Could I get more pudding?" Asking anyone but not necessarily expecting anyone to get her any since the pudding she ate previous was from a boy in the dinning hall that bought it for her expecting to buy her affection from food. Although it didn't work, he was defiantly on the right track. "Also! Does the sacrifice have to be of the female gender? What about a male perhaps? If so, we would have a likelier chance of obtaining a sacrifice if the pigs don't work out."

Takao Kieran: Hero of Sofya

@ZaiKai

Takao let out a small sigh, in a way..he didn't want to return. Was he really thinking that? did he want to give up his life in Sofya to stay on earth and live a normal life..? This was a huge decision that he had to think about and over come.
"Lighten up a bit Lucius, we may as well have some fun while we are here. We will focus on getting back to Sofya, but no one said having fun was a sin to the demons and god of Sofya. Mitsurugi always told me that work comes before play, but there is nothing against having fun while at work." Words that Takao needed to start living by himself..it opened his mind to the real world.

Lucius looks at Greysen. "Well, it's not a proven conclusion, but..." He shrugs. "Whatever force funnels the sacrifice's energy into the spell seems to enjoy females more than males." He then glances at Takao. "I'm not sure who Mitsurugi is - the name sounds Londen - , but he sounds like my kind of person. Of course, back in my days as a Sofyan knight..." His gaze gets somewhat distant again. "I would have disagreed with him. I was young and foolish, drunk on Sofya's so-called greatness, and..." Lucius's reminiscent smile slowly becomes a frown, not wanting to think about her right now.

Lorelei raised an eyebrow at the idea of dressing up as a mermaid. "
Where the fish am I going to get a tail?" Staring over at Takao, Lorelei pursed her lips in thought. "But dressing up as our Sofya forms would be fun..." Thinking about what it would be like to be her old self again, Lorelei snorted about how she would be able to fit into her shells with her current size. Lorelei stared longingly at Greysen's fully developed breasts, tears forming in her eyes. Wiping her tears with a single finger, Lorelei sighed before moving her gaze to the pudding and how it jiggled. It was similar to that of how her own breasts used to jiggle...

"
It would work...men are pigs after all..." Lorelei bitterly muttered, wrapping her arms around her chest once again. She never did get over the fact that she was now flat chested. But pigs were less of a crime to slaughter and drain their blood. The mermaid-turned-human glanced over at Lucius, raising an eyebrow at his melancholic expression. "Sofya was pretty great... I was pretty great..." Grabbing at her lack of chest, Lorelei sighed and then looked back down at the magazine titled How to Use Push Up Bras.

Time Skip

Over the next week or so, the people from Sofya, as well as their helpers from Earth, gather microwaves either from stealing them, buying them, or borrowing them. Meanwhile, Greysen mercilessly slaughters a couple of pigs and has fun with it. Theo manages to finish his contraption to turn on all of the microwaves at once. The microwaves are set up in the school basement, and with the spirits coming out to play for the Halloween Dance tonight, everything is ready for the Sofyans' glorious return. All that is left is for the Sofyans to go to the mall and get their costumes.

"I'm not going," Lucius insists. "You all go get your silly costumes or whatever. Dress up as yourselves - worship yourselves as heroes, for all I care." He looks off in the direction of the school they're standing in front of. "I need to go into the basement - make sure everything's ready, prepare the sacrifice, those things. Once I finish, which should be sometime during the party, I'll make sure somebody spreads the code phrase: The chicken is baked. It's not a very good phrase, but I don't care. Understood?"

"Understood." Izaria yawns and stretches her arms over her head. She had been running around helping with the pigs, the portal, and fetching supplies for the past week, and while she was proud of their achievements it was taxing on her. It felt nice to go out and see the human world before they left to go back home. She decided that she was going to be a demon. "So how are we supposed to get to this 'mall'?" She asked crossing her fingers behind her back. She absolutely abhorred those metal death traps of theirs. She felt sick just thinking about riding in one. Her face going white and her voice sounding grim she inquired, "We aren't going in those transportation devices, right? Right?" looking at her posse's faces to see their answer. The last time she went in a car, she found out quite abruptly that she gets quite carsick very easily. It wasn't pleasant in the slightest for her or anybody in the car with her.

Esther Bellerose

Esther skipped to her locker, excited for the upcoming dance. Her costume was ready, and all that remained was to put up the decorations tomorrow with Theo and the rest of the dance committee.

You're forgetting something, Esther. Remember the mall trip?

Esther cursed under her breath, her happy thoughts quickly diminishing. The trip she promised had slipped her mind for the moment, but she had talked things over with her mother a few days ago. Whipping out her phone, Esther opened up Theo's contact and sent him the plans for this evening.

Sir Pirate
me
Alright, so my mom'll drive us over and we're taking a bus home
me
But the car only fits 8, so there's only room for 5 of 'em. Meet you in front of the school

Hoping Theo would choose the less odd transfers for the ride, Esther made her way towards the school's entrance. As she found a spot under a nice willow tree to sit, she thought back to seventh grade, after Theo's car accident. She was surprised he hadn't developed some form of PTSD after what happened; he even made a joke out of the loss of his eye, asking for a good month afterwards that people refer to him only as Sir Pirate.

"The doof..." Esther mumbled, pulling a book out of her backpack and adjusting her position against the tree. "This should dolphinitely be interesting."
