Her mother always told her to be fashionably late but Lorelei was just plain late to the tour. Then again, she didn't really need it as she had already memorized all the hallways, shortcuts, and secret passageways of the school while she was mindlessly chasing after the poor girl she had bumped into earlier. Lorelei had also completely skipped class, causing the other girl to skip in fear as well, but she didn't really care. After all, what could some adult human do to her? The other students often whispered under their breath of detention, or whatever it was called, and it this detention was what the punishment was for skipping class, Lorelei wasn't scared of it.


However, when the mermaid-turned human walked into the cafeteria where she was called, the tense atmosphere immediately snapped her out of her daze. Focusing on Lucius and an Arabic looking newcomer, Lorelei immediately realized that there was magic in that necklace. After all, show a thirsty man some water in a desert and he will chase after it. Lorelei slowly walked around the tense group, watching the interaction of the two as she took a seat but didn't fully listen to the principal. It seemed that Lucius was no longer playing goody-goody in this new world.


"So he had a sudden and passionate realizing of oneself...?" Lorelei thought aloud to herself, tapping her chin. Frowning as Lucius demanded for the magic necklace, Lorelei quickly stood up and approached the group. Unfortunately for her, her stealth was shattered when her fold-able chair fell over and caused a loud noise. All eyes were on Lorelei as she stumbled around, embarrassed at the lack of grace this human body had, and tried to pick the chair back up again. "Ahem, um, sorry." Apologizing to the student body and the principal, Lorelei let out a sigh of relief when they all went back to their business.


Now, she had to get back to her business. Turning around to walk towards Lucius and the magic-possessing newcomer, Lorelei folded her arms over her chest and glanced back and forth between the two parties. "Um, yeah, you shouldn't give it to him." Unaware of Lucius' plans to reopen a magic portal to go back to Sofya, Lorelei knew that if the demon king got his hands on some sort of magical artifact, this whole world would go to hell. And as much as Lorelei disliked Earth and its lack of magic, she knew that, on the side of good, it would not be right to drag billions of people to their doom.

Isis gasped as the stranger began to penetrate the barrier. Her eyes went wide, gasping as she began to pull more power through the necklace. Her body began to shake slightly, but her focus remained in tact and her eyes narrowed as the necklace began to glow.


"You will not have it"

Panting, she lost focus on everything else around them when the feeling of doubt began to creep in, what if this being was too much for her to handle?. Shaking her head slightly as she moved back for every step he took forward. She was quickly running out of options..

Lucius glances at Lorelei, growling. "Stay out of this, child." He looks back at Isis, straining harder to push through her barrier now that she's strengthened it. I'm carrying too much mass, he realizes, and slips off his jacket. He then undoes his tie, dropping it to the ground. He takes off his belt, and then undoes his ponytail, dropping the hair tie to the floor. Every ounce counts, Lucius thinks to himself. Of course, she doesn't have any power source besides herself ... She'll run out of energy eventually. Lucius resolves to put in only enough energy it takes to stand still where he is, decided to wait until she runs out of energy and then strike.

Izaria steps up and gets into a common offensive position taught in the demon army.


"As you wish, Your Highness." She smiles wide, delighted to be fighting again. War has always been a way of escapism for her. The only time that she's totally at ease despite all of the blood and screams that would surround her. She steps up and touches the barrier lightly, testing its power. She looks up at the strange girl holding it up, making a deduction.


"The magic causes a strain on you doesn't it? I can see you struggling to focus, to keep it up. So," She pauses slightly to push against the barrier to test its strength. "lets see how much you can endure without loosing focus." Izaria pushes up against the barrier slowly adding pressure as time increases, and the woman's strength depletes. "I'm going to talk about how I dispose of the magic users in battle. And you will listen to me." She adds, carrying a sharp tone. Her plan was to talk about the horrors of war to try and make her lose focus on concentrating her magic.


She adds more pressure. "Since most magic users have their magic tied to an object like your necklace, I rid them of it. However, sometimes," She increases the pressure on the barrier" its a body part. Like a hand, or a finger perhaps." She pauses to let it sink in. "Other people enchant weapons. The cost of doing so is tying yourself to the weapon forever. Sometimes its to keep wounds from healing, or to decrease its weight. Its no matter to be scared of, but some people enchant the weapon so the only thing that can hurt them is their own weapon." Izaria laughs to make it seem like she's enjoying it. " You have to turn the weapon on the user. Sometimes its a clean kill. Other times, when you've tied yourself to a mace or a club its messier." She adds the last of the strength she has to offer.

He called her...a child. Lorelei's face fumed a bright red and her nostrils flared like a bull's, she was about to shoot her mouth off when the necklace glowed with mana and the demon king, her sworn enemy, started stripping right in front of her. "Oh my Neptune," Slapping her hands over her eyes, Lorelei shrieked when she peeked between her fingers and saw Lucius with his hair down. "Stop! I'm loyal only to Takao!" Lorelei's cheeks were flushed pink with embarrassment until she realized that he was only taking off a few ounces in order to counteract the newcomer's magic.


Dropping her hands and focusing on the magic user, Lorelei held her arms out, hoping that she didn't look too threatening. Note the sarcasm because Lorelei is a small, non-threatening child. "Hey, I'm not going to hurt you but you can't let him get his hands on your necklace, okay?" As if approaching a scared puppy, Lorelei tried to push forward and found herself almost at arms reach of the girl. With Izaria taunting her and the magic running out, Lorelei wondered if the girl would last any longer. "Okay, here's what you're going to do. You're going to stop the spell and run." Plan in mind, Lorelei just hoped that the girl would trust her on this.


The plan was dangerous but the necklace had to stay out of Lucius' hands. After all, it would be difficult to chase after a girl when your pants are around your ankles. Lucius should've kept the belt.

Isis could feel her strength running out, she would not last much longer.


"I will not yield the necklace to you. I will see it destroyed before letting it fall into your hands"





Looking to the girl next to her, she nodded and began to pull the barrier in before letting it out like an explosion. Gasping at the shockwave her legs shook.


"We must go now, we will not have a lot of time and my strength is nearly gone"

Isis shook as the strength was not quite coming back yet. She would be no good in an upfront fight if they did not get away.

Lucius growls as a shock of pain shoots up his leg from the shockwave. He shakes his head. Shake it off, Lucius ... You've fought with sword cuts up and down your limbs before, you can handle this. He takes a deep breath, then looks to Izaria. "As soon as you're alright to move without hurting yourself, go after the girl with the necklace for me." Turning away from her, he begins to approach Lorelei. "I'll deal with the fish kid." Lucius pushes his sleeves up as he approaches her, then takes off his glasses and drops them to the floor. They didn't help too much, and besides, if they broke they would only impede him. He launches forward, trying to grab her arm. "You're done for, child."

A bright smile appeared on Lorelei's face when the girl nodded and dropped her barrier. That smile almost immediately left her face when Lucius turned away from Izaria and began to approach her. Lorelei glanced between Lucius and the girl. "Run! I'll find you later." Hoping that the girl took her advice, Lorelei turned her full attention to the demon king just as he launched forward, grabbing her arm. Hopefully... Lorelei thought to herself as she fell over onto the ground in order to take the force better. But it was there, on the ground, that Lorelei realized that they were not in Sofya, she was not an elementalist, and Lucius didn't have magic.


Now, what was a demon king without magic? Well, obvious, a human teenage boy grabbing her arm. "Eeek! Pervert!" Lorelei shrieked, her voice echoing through the cafeteria (A/N: Is this even a cafeteria? Or like, a gymnasium? Because oh well.). Forcing herself to begin crying, Lorelei was aware that even on Earth she wouldn't stand two seconds in a physical battle against Lucius but she was on the side of good and a hero would always come in a time of need.

"No need to shout and cry, young girl." Lucius holds out his arm with the sleeve rolled up, the inside of the forearm facing her. "Lorelei, I would just like for you to take anything sharp you have and cut me on the arm - a nice gash, please. Anything worse than a papercut will do." He pauses and gives her an odd smile. "You've always wanted to hurt me, haven't you? Well, here's your chance. I won't even get angry with you for it..." Lucius places a fist over his heart. "I swear on my honor as a former knight of Sofya. Just give me a nice cut on the arm and I'll leave you be, Lorelei." Lucius is being sincere, and keeps thinking to himself that he hopes she'll do him a favor and cut his arm.

Takao was walking around the (Gym?) When he was watching the action take place. This girl with this necklace. It had Sofyan energy inside of it. Lucius..something is off about him. Now he had one of his companions..a close one at the. Asking her to cut him. He walked over there and kneeled down beside to two after listening to a shriek come from Lorelei. "Excuse me Lucius..i'm going to have to ask you to let go of my friend here. As well as CONTROL YOURSELF!" Takao ripped the boys grip from his mermaid companion and proceeded to look up to the Arabic girl. "I want you to get that necklace away from here. I don't care where you put it or what you do with it, but keep it away from this man right here. Are we clear?" This side of Takao was coming back into fruition. The leader inside. His focus shifted back to Lucius. "Now..you. What has gotten into you. Why such a scene..? Was this needed at all Lucius?"

The egyptian-looking student that had just entered the cafeteria now stood in front of our group, defending Alayna. Her large, gem necklace began to glow, creating a barrier around her. In the blink of an eye, a fight erupted as shouts echod in the gymnasium. A crowd of teachers gathered near the entrance of the gym, trembling as all the transfer students assume fighting positions, one screaming, "Pervert!" as another grabbed her arm. Another teenaged boy walks toward the scene, trying to reason with one of the students. Esther still reeled over the magic, glowing barrier that had appeared just a second ago as she crawled into a corner, knees tucked under her arms.


"I guess I'll be seeing you all in detention, huh?"

Alayna looked from Esther, then to the fight that had just unrolled infront of them. Then back at esther quickly checking that the cowering girl was okay, What the hell just happened? she wondered. When she noticed Lucius being ripped off a girl by another guy she didn't bother concealing the smirk. She eavesdropped a bit then heard the new guy in the group ask why he was acting like that. She had a feeling she was the reason... taking a few cautious steps forward and holding her hand out to help the girl on the floor up, "Um he got a tad pissed off when I slammed my pointe shoe into his foot... Again." she said.


Of course being the interesting person that she was, she had to slam a pointe she on someones foot. Twice.

Elle watched everything happening around her. She was annoyed that the unfamiliar girl had a magic necklace and yet Elle couldn't even get a simple glamour to work. It was odd that Lucius wanted Lorelei to cut him but if he wanted it then Elle thought they definitely shouldn't do it, though she kept her mouth shut and didn't say a word. Lorelei knew better than to do as he asked.


Why was nothing in this terrible world easy? She longed for the simple pleasures of home and her family. Instead she was stuck here in an infuriating race against their mortal enemy.

"You want me to what?" Ceasing her screaming and standing up like it was all an act (which it was), Lorelei raised an eyebrow at the demon king. "You know I could slice through your flexor carpi ulnaris and disable you from using your arm, right?" Frowning at the demon king, Lorelei beamed at Takao as she took a hold of Lucius' arm and hesitated to stick her nails into his flesh. "It's not satisfying if you don't get mad..." Dropping Lucius' arm and leaving Takao to lecture him, Lorelei folded her arms over her chest as she scanned the gym/cafeteria(?) for something she could use to stab Lucius and cause him pain.


Looking over at the girl who mentioned dentention, Lorelei pursed her lips in confusion. "Why is everyone so afraid of this detention?" Lorelei asked the girl, furrowing her brows as she tried to figure out just why--But then that's when she saw it.


A dinglehopper (if someone gets this reference, 10 points to you.).


Grinning at the sight of the pointy object, Lorelei recalled how she would brush her hair with the dinglehopper back in the ocean. "Perfect," she said as she approached Lucius again. Snatching his wrist with her small hand, Lorelei pulled out his arm and stabbed the dinglehopper into the demon king's forearm. "Tell me it hurts and I'll make you bleed more." No, Lorelei was not a sadist but stabbing Lucius shore did amuse her but not in the way she initially thought it would.

"Lorelei!" Elle half screamed, "Why would you do what he wanted?! And with a fork no less?" She had no idea what Lucius had up his sleeve but she doubted it was good. Shaking her head she wrapped her arms around herself looking around and waiting for something really bad to happen. "Maybe we should get out of here before someone sees this..." she mumbled to herself. The last thing they needed was even more trouble.


"Takao do something," she whispered unsure of what their next move should be.

Lucius winces, but still grins as she stabs him with the fork. "Much obliged to you, fair maiden." He takes the fork out and inspects the stab wound. "Yes, this should be enough blood." He practically skips over to the microwave a few feet away, turning it on at its highest setting before getting his finger wet in his own blood. He draws a small symbol on the side of the microwave, then placed one palm on the symbol. Magic doesn't normally require the use of a sigil, but it makes it use up less energy and helps with more complicated spells, he thinks to himself, unsure exactly if that's right but not caring. He holds his other hand out in front of him, then mutters a word under his breath.


"شرارة."


He feels a hot sting on his pointer finger and immediately pulls his hand away from the blood sigil to instinctively cover the burn. "Dang, I-" Lucius stops in his track, the microwave flickering in and out of power for a moment. He looks at Takao and Lorelei, showing them his finger and grinning. "See that?! I did it! I preformed magic in a magicless world! HA!" He stumbles backward, laughing insanely with glee. "Alright, I think we should work together, Takao. You can help me get microwaves, and I'm the only of the two of us who knows the magic required to create a portal. We'll get out of here together, eh?" He extends his hand for Takao to shake, oblivious to the fact his arm is still bleeding.

"Lorelei no!" Takao wrapped his arms around the mermaids waist and pulled her back, the fork still lodged into his arm. Watching what had happened. Lucius trying to use magic. And it..somewhat worked. Takao was actually a bit furious from all of this nonsense. "Okay wait..so you caused this BIG scene just to get some blood. GET SOME FROM YOUR FOOT IDIOT" Takao let go of Lorelei and walked over to Lucius. "Listen..instead of trying to do all of this on your own, accept the fact that you actually DO need help here. And why should I trust you honestly..what with this big scene you pulled I hath no idea what you are capable of." Takao thought it over..he didn't have much of a clear choice here now did he..? A sigh cascaded.

"There is no blood on my foot, not enough for that anyway. The flesh didn't break much on my foot, it's mostly the bones. I originally wanted the necklace, but I realized if I could get your friend here to stab me I could try a sigil," Lucius explains. "And alright, so ... One second you say I need help, the next you say you can't trust me enough to help. Make up your mind, please. While I can get off pretty much fine by myself, you don't know my field of magic. You don't know how to open a portal, and there's no books on magic on Earth for you to learn..." He smiles a bit. "So you need me, and I would like to help you - I'm in a generous mood today."

Boring.


This entire lesson was boring. So was the lesson before that and so will be the lesson tomorrow. The only thing Theo was really looking forward to was lunch. Lunch was Theo’s time to truly be free and eat his meal without getting yelled at by a teacher. Lunch was his time to satisfy the growing hunger in the pit of his stomach and yet some guy decides to break the microwave just as Theo was about to heat his food.


“Oh.” He said, mildly disappointed at the now broken microwave. “It broke.” Looking down at his uncooked microwaveable lunch, unsure about what to do. He wasn’t going to eat his pasta frozen but he didn’t want to go hungry. Frowning as he thought about what to do, Theo looked up at the guy who broke the microwave and then watched helplessly as a girl wearing pointe shoes unplugged the microwave.


Theo tried to protest but he was still in shock of the microwave breaking on him. “Hey, please bring it back.” Glancing down at his un-microwaved lunch, Theo sighed in defeat. He could fix that microwave if need be. As long as that guy didn’t have any diseases that could be transferred through blood, Theo was down to fixing it in order to eat his lunch. “I sort of need to eat.”

Takao let out a chuckle under his breath followed by a smirk. "Or..do you realize that you need me? You see. There is a difference between me and you. I have the qualities of a leader, and mind of a leader. People naturally follow me because I see what is best fit. With me, I make friends in high places. I get what I want brought to me and my fellow companions. When was the last time you honestly had someone help you that wasn't Izaria or someone who isn't here on earth hm?" Takao knew that pretty much only Izaria followed his rule here on earth. "Then take a look at the people who stand with me here on Earth? The numbers are very un-even."

Alayna stared in shock at the microwave. Who the heck writes on a microwave with blood! she mentally screamed. She felt like pulling out her hair, these people were Crazy! So she simply walked up to the microwave, pressed the stop button, unplugged it, then walked out of the room with it. Of course, the lunch ladies never actually used there microwave and they probably wouldn't touch it with blood now on it... So she didn't feel to bad when she walked up to the highest floor, opened a window -quickly checking if there was anyone down there- and dropped it to the ground.


She laughed out loud when a girl rounding the corner screamed as it fell infront of her, "Sorry!" she yelled with a laugh, then walked back down stairs and to the group who where talking about magic, "I want answers please. A) Why do you keep talking about magic B) Why are you guys so bat shit crazy and C) where did you guys transfer from?"

Lucius shrugs to Takao. "I don't need people on Earth. The Rugias and my other acquaintances in the city are waiting for me..." He pauses for a bit, then adds, "Although I may be cancelling my engagement to Lady Vasalir. While she is a nice person, I would prefer to find love myself." He shakes his head at himself, not wanting to think about that right now. "Anyway, I don't care how you interpret it, but from now on, we're working together. You all get the goods, and Izaria and I will take care of the planning. Once the portal is ready, we'll all jump in together and all can go back to normal."


He glances at Alayna. "Stay out of this, alright?" Lucius says in an almost pleading voice. "I don't need you to stomp on my foot again, else I'll lose all use of it. And you wouldn't understand what we're talking about. The magic, it's uh ... It's a game we made up, alright? So go off and do whatever you usually do right about now." Lucius turns back to Takao and extends his hand once more.

Izaria got up, her head pounding like a drum. She got knocked her head during the shockwave after falling. She tried reassuring herself, "S'all good. I've... survived worse." but her words slurred a bit. She shook her head and walked/waddled over to the group of Sofyans surrounding the microwave. To her right, Lucius seemed to be negotiating with the heroes and to her left the human girl with dangerous shoes seemed distraught. Izaria reached out and studied that microwave trying to make sense of the mechanics. It didn't help that she had gotten super dizzy in the last few minutes. Feeling wetness on the back of her head, she reached out curiously behind her head and felt the spot. When she pulled back however, there was blood. "What's this?" She inquired to no one in particular. Izaria hadn't ever seen human blood before, though she has seen many things similar to it.


(She has a concussion if it wasn't very clear.)

"So we're all on the same side now?" Elle asked sarcastically. She didn't really want to work with Lucius but if it's what Takao wanted to do then she wouldn't question it... too much. Besides more than anything she wanted to be home in the Autumn Wood. Just the thought of it made her excited.


Elle chuckled at Lucius cancelling his engagement, it was probably his only shot at love unless he intended to marry Izaria. The Fae princess was also engaged and had never even met the guy, some Summer Court prince. She sighed it's just how things worked when you were royalty. None of it would matter anyway if they were stuck here for all eternity. Elle briefly wondered if she would get old and die in this world since back home she would live forever unless killed.

Takao let out a full blown laugh as he extended his hand and shook lucius's. "I hope this partnership works wonders my friend. Now Microwaves..It might take me some time but I believe I can get a big enough one." Takao turned to look at his companions as well as some other various students. Then comments from a human girl. The one who stepped on Lucius's foot. He walked over and put his hand on the girls shoulder. "If you come with me to the library I will be more than happy to explain everything to you, you may be able to help too."
