Fantasy Love Love Love! Quest

Alayna twirled around in her pointe shoes taking a leap then landing with a thud on the gymnasium floor. She had been practicing for quite some time now and didn't have the slightest clue what time it was. Apart from the small group of kids lugging something from the supply closet she was the only one in there.

Her bright pink shirt was tight fitting and the black yoga shorts went to her mid thigh comfortably tight. The pointe shoes were white and well worn out and she knew she'd need to get a new pair soon but procrasinated about since she had, had them for so long.

She took a quick break and sat down and tried to decide what she wanted to do. After a minute of contemplating wether she wanted to go try and figure out a book or practicing a different style she decided she'd prefer dancing over trying to read wavy words. The teen sloppily untied her pointe shoes and put on her jazz shoes knowing that barefoot on these floors wouldn't go well.

Alayna put on her shoes then stood back up and thought about what she wanted to do. A mix jazz/acro dance she had learned previously seemed appealing. She turned quickly then fell into a back bridge, kicking her leg forward so it turned into a backwards walk over then did a few turns stopping then transitioning into grape vine steps then continued her intricate choreography around the gym.

Takao walked over to Lucius and extended his hand. "Then it seems to me sir that we must part ways until I find out how to get back to Sofya. I apologize for trying to befriend you, as for it seems, twas a mistake on my part." A small grin appeared on Takao's face. "It is a shame however that you won't join me in my endeavors. I could easily erase this so called target from your back with a few simple words. But since you insist on parting ways, I bid you farewell oh Lucius Virgil.

Ellowyn watched Takao try and befriend their enemy grumbling under her breath about it being a terrible idea. The Demon King could twist his words all he wanted, they'd get him in the end and Ellowyn wasn't about to let him get inside her head. "We don't need him anyway Takao," she hissed glaring in Lucius' direction. "We'll figure out a way back on our own and then we can finish what we started," Ellowyn said turning away from Lucius and putting her hand on Takao's shoulder. She wasn't in the best of moods after being teleported to this terrible world. The Fae girl didn't actually have any idea how to get back home she just knew she didn't want the help of their sworn enemy.

"Wow, first and middle name," Lucius says. "You're a serious little pest, aren't you?" He chuckles a bit, then shows Takao some rough sketches on paper made with the odd Earth pencils. "I suppose I'll let you in on my basic plan just because I'm in the mood for it. I've heard people from this world mention electricity - from what I gather, it's a power very dear to them, powering contraptions they use every day. My idea is if I can gather enough of this electricity, I may be able to use its energy to cast magic..." He chews on the end of one of the Earth pens, thinking. "It's just a prototype idea, since Earth doesn't seem to have the same sort of energy flow as Sofya. However, if we can concentrate enough power, I think we may be able to pull it off..." He continues to chew on the pen for a moment longer before covering his sketch with another piece of paper. "That is all I plan on sharing with you - at least at this point in time. As I've heard Earth humans say, catch you on the flip-flop, Takao." Lucius stands, gathering his things into a bag, adjusting his glasses, and strolling out of the room to explore the rest of the school - specifically looking for the library to read up some more on electricity.

Takao chuckled as he had learned a bit more about this earth and then turned to Ellowyn who had rested her hand upon the heroes shoulder. "I know..but I don't want to be on his side..I want to learn his plans..I got a big plot up my sleeve..we learn what he wants to do and beat him at his own game. I believe it is a good plan don't you think?" A smirk rested upon the mug of the hero. Was beating the demon king at his own plan too good to be true..if he had his god hand, they could be back in a flash..but this..electricity stuff..could it possibly work?

yItKlkK.jpg
"Oh... That's actually a really good idea," Ellowyn said blushing at her rashness. She was so against an alliance that she hadn't even stopped to consider Takao was actually plotting against the Demon King. She silently reminded herself that there was a reason why Takao was the Hero and that she needed to trust his judgement more.

Still she would do almost anything to protect him and help on his quest to defeat Lucius and that included worrying from time to time. Ellowyn wondered if her vow even meant anything in this world? All her magic was gone so maybe the vow no longer meant anything. She wouldn't abandon Takao like that though vow or no vow the side she was on was clearly chosen.

Lucius Virgil Rugia

@Sen Pai , @verifiedkat (at the end)

Lucius arrives at a large room lined with bookshelves. The Library. He immediately scans the shelves, grabbing various books having to do with electricity. He then sets them down on one of the tables with an audible thump. He grabs the strap of his bag, swinging it down and setting it next to chair as he pulls it out, sitting down. Reaching down, Lucius flips open his bag and takes out his sketches, laying them out before him. Then he slides down the top book and begins reading - well, skimming - and taking notes.

When he finishes, he has a good idea of how electricity works.
I see ... They store the electricity in lines strung up all over the place, which are connected to cables in the walls of buildings ... which in turn have "outlets" ... which connect to "appliances" - which heat food, store food, and provide entertainment ... And according to these books, most rooms in buildings have outlets, and there are contraptions which can stem several outlets from a single one. So I need to get some of these ... "microwaves," dozens of them, set them to their highest power and turn them all on. Some fans at their highest speed and some toasters might work ... These all seem to be the cheapest appliances they have here. Lucius slides his notes back into his bag, slipping it on his shoulder, and returns the books to their places.

He's about to leave the library when he sees something that catches his eye: something called a "graphic novel" - combining words and drawings, brilliant! - called Sir Virtue Vs. King Vice. Lucius raises an eyebrow, looking at the cover and seeing a brave knight facing off against what appears to be a demon lord of some sort - just like Lucius.
Hmm, that's right. Creatures and occurrences commonplace in Sofya are used as tool for literature on Earth. Wait a moment ... His eyes widen slightly, the book slipping out of his hand unnoticed. If on Earth they are simply make believe ... why are they identical to the ideas of creatures and magic in Sofya? Have people travelled through the two worlds before?

Lucius exits the library, a bit wide-eyed, exiting the building to walk around for a bit and clear his head. As he walked around, he saw a girl standing near the shrubs, looking as if she were talking to somebody - he recognizes her as Lorelei. Approaching, he also sees somebody sitting in he shrubs - Izaria. He continues to walk toward the two, stopping a few feet away. "Oi, Izaria. Is the mermaid bothering you?"

[sorry it's so long--I got carried away]

Esther Bellerose

Esther speed-walked down the hall, eager to meet up with her friend, Alayna. She'd had a brilliant idea--at least, what seemed brilliant in her eyes--and couldn't wait to share it with the one person she could count on.

She had two theories as to where Alayna might be during Fortuna Academy's free hour; she'd either be in the library, catching up on some homework, or in the gymnasium, dancing her heart out. Esther absolutely loved watching Alayna dance--it was as if her feet were made for pointe shoes. The way she glided across the floor, twirling and bending to the beat of her heart, was mesmerizing. Esther never felt any envy towards her friend's talent, though she sometimes wished she didn't have two left feet when it came to the dance floor.

Upon reaching the library, she almost turned the other way--when given the chance to choose between studying and dance, Alayna would almost always choose dance. Resolving to simply check anyway, Esther entered the library, breathing in the smell of old and new books alike. As she peered down the aisles of shelves, she struggled to walk lightly, the many buckles on her chunky combat boots taking every opportunity to make as much noise as possible. The librarian, Ms. Crosby, a crass old lady who just
wouldn't retire, glared at her with every step, her eyes threatening to throw Esther out. All Esther could manage was an apologetic smile before she darted to the tables in the back of the library, praying Alayna would be there.

Sure enough, Alayna was
not there, and Esther was forced to painstakingly make her way back out. Under Ms. Crosby's ice cold stare and occasional dirty looks from her peers, she made it back to the entrance of the library, but stopped when she noticed a graphic novel lying on the floor. Sighing in exasperation, she couldn't help herself from picking it up and placing it back onto the shelf.

Sir Virtue Vs. King Vice...what an odd title...

Esther began making her way to the gymnasium, but stopped in horror at the sound of the bell. If she didn't grab her books from her locker and made it to the
opposite wing of Fortuna in under five minutes, her AP English teacher would give her a third tardy, meaning she'd be given detention as well.

Now running, Esther pulled out her phone, determined to share her idea with Alayna before she convinced herself otherwise.

Alayna nearly jumped out of her pointe shoes when she heard the bell ring, realizing she'd have no time to change out her dance clothes wasn't great either. Five minutes to run to science where her dreaded textbook awaited.

She grabbed her bag and ran to her locker, grabbing her phone and dashing down the hall. She slowed her pace when she felt her hand vibrate and automarically assumed Esther was texting her. The teen turned on her phone and smiled when she saw Esther's text.

Me: sounds great! I'll help you if you want also just curious does the science teacher have a no pointe shoes policy?

She was actually curious what a teacher would think of her attire. She pushed the thought aside when she saw she had only a minute to get to class and went in a full out sprint until she reached the classroom.

Lucius hears the odd sound coming from the classroom, like the rapid ringing of a small bell. That's odd - he can't see a bell tower anywhere... Anyway, he checks his bracelet-mounted clock - which everyone keeps telling him to ... watch for some reason, but he can't see any reason to continuously watch his bracelet-mounted clock for any extended period of time... Anyway, he pulls his schedule - with attached map, another stroke of genius from Earth-dwellers - and sees he has a science class nearby now. He sighs. Why can't they all just stay in the same room all day? "Excuse me, fair maiden and slightly less fair maiden, for I must depart off to science class," Lucius says, inclining his head to both of them before setting off toward the science room at a light jog, stuffing the school welcome packet back into his bag. Honestly this isn't too bad of a place to stay while I figure out how to get back ... hopefully without the Takao brat.

Takao smirked and began to head toward the door. "Come my friend, we need to do more research..and spy on out new friend Lucius" He directed his speech toward his companion Ellowyn. Thoughts rushed through his head, electricity..how would they use it to bring their powers back. Maybe if he had more brains to think and do research, their endeavors would be successful. Lorelei was the next person they had grab.

Alayna walked over to her seat and sat down simoltaneously glaring at her textbook. Of course she could barely tell what the science signs said so reading the text book was torture. As her thoughts continued she stood up and went to sharpen her pencil lazily staring to her side as she stepped on the points of her shoes. Of course her lack of attention came back to punch her when she stumbled into a guy roughly the same height as her. She audibly winced as her pointe shoe jabbed his foot and she stumbled back landing on the floor. Of course on her first day back at school she has to make a complete fool out of herself, "Oh my gosh! I am so sorry, are you okay? That looks painful. Do you want ice?..." she said continueing her rambling and not bothering to get up.

Lucius feels a sickening crunch as some female steps on his shoe. The pain shoots up his leg and he yelps, tripping and falling forward. "By Gaungraupf's clawed right foot of deceit that hurt!" He writhes around for a second, muttering things like, "Rugia's burning capital building with cackling cats!" and "Merlin's ever-growing beard of split hairs!", not realizing how silly his curses sound. Lucius looks at the girl who stepped on him, then looks at her shoes. "Red-hot flaming demons of burning death, why are you wearing such pointy shoes?!" He cringes, taking a sharp intake of breath, then sighs. "Ice would ... be good..."

Alayna jumped to her feet trying to conceal her embarresment. Of course his interesting way of -what she assumed was covering swears- was distracting. Then when he asked her why she was wearing pointy shoes she raised an eyebrow, had he never seen pointe shoes?

"I'm a dancer... and these are pointe shoes." She explained. He must be new because most people knew she was the resident dancer. She quickly turned asking the teacher if she could go get the boy ice. Once the teacher agreed she walked back over, "Want to walk with me to the kitchen to get some ice?" She asked shyly honestly feeling horrible about stepping on him.

Lucius slowly stands, wincing slightly but refusing to back away from mere physical pain. He takes a moment to gather his balance. "I can tough it out, but I suppose it would help prevent swelling to have the ice," Lucius says, nodding. "I will come with you to fetch the ice. I do not know my way around this building so ... by the winged chinchilla's holy light, lead the way, fair maiden." He leans in a bit closer and says in a low voice, "And guard yourself that you do not let loose your demonic pain upon me again, or I may see fit to tie you to the top of a flagpole and leave you there until dawn."

@Sen Pai

Izaria narrowed her eyes and looked Lorelei straight in the eyes. Of course, it didn't have the desired effect because she had to look up to see her face. Her hands curled into fists. But then she remembered this morning and chuckled.

"I don't know, its a lot of looking up. Though, at least I have breasts larger than a cup." She taunted, mimicking Lorelei's choice of words from this morning. It was true- She had developed more than her.

She then turned to respond to Lucius and shook her head. "We were just getting done here." Upon hearing the bell ring she sighed and turned to Lorelei "You know the saying, 'If I cannot reach Heaven I will raise Hell'? Well since I won't be able to reach Heaven, even on my toes, I'll just have to raise Hell to show people who is their worthy ruler." She then rushed back to class just in time to see Lucius get stepped on by a human girl in strange shoes. Was it a sign of status or wealth? Izaria was too confused from all of the human traditions and language to think twice about it as she slid into her seat and listen to the teacher drone on about human science.

She was either incredibly brave or incredibly stupid when she stepped forward and whispered "Leave me on a flag pole and my demon shoes will connect with your face." Of course she found this incredibly amusing but didn't show that as she turned -doing a small hand gesture telling him to follow- then slowly walked out the door. Of course she was still dancing a bit -mainly out of habit, as she looked at the posters on the wall. When she noticed an empty coffee cup sitting on a high ledge she dashed forward and leaped up on the point of her shoe and grabbed it. Landing flat on her foot she tossed it and did a little victory dance.

Lucius raises an eyebrow at the retort but follows along silently. She's brave ... if she were older and in Sofya, I may have recruited her... He discards the idea as he watches her dance around jump to get coffee mugs, sighing. How childish. Lucius checks his bracelet-mounted clock for the time, then almost taps his foot impatiently before feeling the sharp jolt of pain from his foot. Yeah, that was going to hurt for a while. "I would appreciate if your demon feet would calm down, as my own demon feet grow more pained with each passing moment."

"You say demon alot, you know that right?" She asked falling back into step with him, "Have you never heard of ballet? It's a style of dance I do." She walked forward trying to keep a pace that he and his foot could stay with. When she spotted the kitchen up ahead she walked a littke faster and went to open the door... which was locked. She scowled then walked over to the serving window, put her hands on the counter and jumped through, unlocking the door once she was in, "You should take off your shoe if you want to ice it." She advised before wandering over to the freezer.

"It's ... a long story, the demon thing." Lucius frowns, looking through his mind. Though he plans on leaving Earth at his first chance, his mind is already beginning to slip into a teenaged mindset, and he figures he might as well try to be, as he's sure Earth people say, "chill" sometimes. He shakes his head. "I do not believe I know what ballet is." He takes his shoe off, then holds it out, as if expecting Alayna to put the ice in it. "I'm not exactly sure how you handle icing injuries around here. Ah, excuse me, allow me to adjust my bracelet-mounted clock." He fumbles with his bracelet-mounted clock a bit, tightening it. "The leather perforated bracelet it's mounted upon has been rubbing oddly against my wrist. I'm not used to wearing such an odd contraption."

Alayna quirked an eyebrow at his shoe then put some ice in a plastic baggy and placed it on his foot awkwardly moving his shoe away, "And that is a watch. Not a bracelet painted clock or whatever gibberish your babbling about and its probably rubbing because you don't have it on tight enough." She explained then stood up, "And I think your one of the strangest people I've ever met." She said quietly, more to herself then anyone. After grabbing a cookie from the counter she decided to introduce herself, "I'm Alayna by the way, and you are...?"

"Ahhhh, so a watch is the name of this bracelet-mounted clock..." Lucius nods, adjusting the bag of ice. "Yes, I suppose I am a bit odd for this setting. You could say I'm an ... exchange student, of sorts." He sighs, adjusting his glasses. "Well met, Alayna. I am Lucius Virgil von Maelorseph Rugia." He inclines his head, as if an informal bow, and then extends his hand for her to shake. "Fair warning, if you meet any of the other ... 'exchange students,' they are most likely more odd than I am." He pauses. "By the way, I would like to know where I might find some appliances - for no specific reason, really, just future reference. Microwaves, toasters, fans...?"

"There is no way I'm remembering that name." She said sarcastically. Now that she learned he was an exchange student it made a little more sense, "later me and my friend Esther are going to give a tour to the new kids so feel free to join." She said then once again quirked an eyebrow when he asked where he'd find appliances, "At an appliance store..." the teen said then took a peek at Lucius's watch, "We should probably head back now. The teacher might think I just wanted to skip the reading section."

A cup...small breasts...an A cup...

Lorelei felt the tears well up in her eyes at Izaria's retort about her lack of
boobage but she did her best to hold them back. It would be humiliating for Lorelei to cry in the presence of her sworn enemy. He had called her a mermaid but right now, Lorelei was a pre-mature human girl and she felt as if she had been stripped down to the bone. "At least I have...my face...? Lorelei mumbled as she poked at her child-like cheeks. "Right..?" The mermaid-turned-human continued to stare blankly at the wall, completely alone as Izaria and Lucius left her when the bell rang. By the time Lorelei snapped back to reality, people were rushing to class and she followed them with heavy feet.

In the hallways, Lorelei's spirit was drained and she clutched at her nonexistant chest, trying to salvage what little breast tissue she had. That is, until she was knocked over by a running girl. On the ground, Lorelei looked up at the girl, her body flailed out on the hallway floor. "
Am I sexy?" Lorelei asked, expressionless as she didn't make an attempt to get up from the ground. "Am I seducing you?" Twirling her teal hair in her fingers slowly and staring at the girl with wide, dead fish eyes, Lorelei tried to wink in a flirtatious manner. However, it turned into a weird eye twitch. That's still pretty attractive though, right?

Classroom Gathering

The second period bell had rung, most students were already in their respective classrooms (unless they were playing hooky). Mrs. Lu was not known to be a strict or harsh teacher but when one skipped her class, she would be quite frightening. However, she would have to control her passive aggressive temper today as she would be getting a lot of transfer students. Her class was the smallest so Professor Hardman had placed all of them in, saying they were exchange students from abroad. Exchange students or not, Mrs. Lu still found it annoying when she finished taking attendance while some of her students were still not in the classroom.

"
Alright, open your textbooks to page 27," Mrs. Lu turned around and wrote the page number on the whiteboard. Glancing over at her attendance list, Mrs. Lu randomly called someone's name out. "Ellowyn...Autumnleaf?" Mrs. Lu raised am eyebrow at the name but came to the conclusion that parents nowadays were naming their children like one would name a Disney princess. "Would you read the first two paragraphs?"

Ellowyn Autumnleaf

Ellowyn sighed hearing her name called, maybe it wasn't such a great idea to go by such a Fae name. "Just Elle's fine," she told the teacher politely.

She stared at the science text book in front of her and began reading. The chapter was titled 'Electricity.'

"Electricity is a force caused by electric charge. It is a form of energy which we use to power machines and electrical devices. When the charges are not moving, electricity is called static electricity. When the charges are moving they are an electric current, sometimes called 'dynamic electricity'. Lightning is the most obvious kind of electricity in nature but sometimes static electricity causes things to stick together. You may have experienced static electricity when you have touched your TV screen. Always treat electricity with respect. Electricity is not a good match with water.

Static electricity occurs when the number of electrons of atoms in a material are either more than usual or less than usual. If the electrons stay where they are, the atom that has too many or too few electrons will attract or sometimes repel other atoms. If the electrons move from where there are too many to where there are too few, a flow of electrons will occur, an electrical current."

Elle finished reading the first two paragraphs not really understanding everything she said, magic was much easier to understand. She knew that this was the kind of thing Lucius was trying to learn so she tried her best to pay attention and learn as much as she could. Takao needed this information too if they were going to beat the Demon King at his own game.
