I sit my Gatorade down on the sofa and I run up to Lindsey and I give her a hug after James puts her down. "Heyyy baby cakes! How are you? You look good!" I say like a hyper 4 year old. I look at James and reply to his comment: "And YOU James just need to engage more in our convos punk" I then stick my tongue out at him. I then dive on the sofa beside Taisuke and grab my Gatorade. Once I do, I begin to plank on the sofa cushions as a humor bit to the pack.

"Lindsey! Nick! Celestine!" Celeste swung the door open wide to let them in. She smiled widely at them and sat back down on her previous seat, watching as everyone greet each other and settle in. From behind her, she grabbed a canned drink and popped it open, enjoying the fizzing sound it made. Celeste began to pull her legs up and sat crossed-legged while taking a sip of her drink.

Austin nodded a thanks to Tai as he quickly opened the beer a literally almost emptied the can but stopped halfway in the middle to take a breather "it'll be a piece of piss getting through all of these tonight" he said as he finished off his beer and waved over at everyone at the door from his seat "so Tai what're your plans for the summer?" He asked curiously he hadn't seen the guy in a while maybe all the guys would be able to get together like old times.

Lindsey

Taken by surprise at James's attack hug. Lindsey let out a small scream at being picked up, but it soon turned to laughter. She had really missed seeing James even though she would never admit it. There was a weird surge of happiness in her that made her feel...complete. They all gave her that feeling. Lindsey had been to engaged with her photography and trying to get into Art school that she completely forgot about the joy being with her friends gave her. "I know! It seems like ages ago! I've just been here and there. More there than here." She waved hello at Aubria and handed her the bags of chips she had brought. "Oh love you know me just keeping it classy." She said joking around with Aubria.

Lindsey's attention turned back to James. He had grown since she last saw him, or maybe she just got shorter. His hair was also a bit longer than what she remembered. With a smile and perkiness in her voice Lindsey asked "How have you been James? It's been a while."

Taisuke laughed at Aubria diving onto the couch and planking before turning to face Austin. "Well I got work thought a lot of it so you won't be seeing a lot of me sadly." Taisuke said trying to hold in a laugh since he was just saying what most people would most likely be thinking he would be doing. "Only kidding I just got one event lined up then I'm done so you'll all be seeing a lot more of me lately." Taisuke said smiling as he finished he first bottle. "Well be drinking you out of the house Aubria I hope you don't mind." Taisuke added after.

''Heh, you know, life and life. Being here and there. Wanna come and sit on the couch?'' He moves his head towards the couch. He looks at Aubria ''WELL, i tought talking to Celeste and i got batted, i tried talking to you but you were too busy getting your jaw up from the floor from the cheap lamborghini!'' He says while giggling. He goes to the couch and sits down, waiting for her.

Austin almost fell out of his seat at James words "hey mate you keep my car out of this!" He yelled a little upset at the comment but he quickly brushed it off and turned back to Tai "cool then that means we all can have a retry at our guys night seeing how last year's didn't go so well" he said as the flashback of all the girls showing up at nicks house during their last attempt hopefully it'd be different this year.

Lindsey

Lindsey smiled and followed James to the couch. She waved hello and greeted the rest of the guys and girls with a hug and the necessary "good to finally see you", "it's been so long", and other related comments. Lindsey took a place next to James on the couch and listened in to the conversation trying to see how much she had missed..

It seemed just like old times. Everyone hanging around Aubria's living room discussing some silly thing as if it was the most important thing in the world. The words "guys night" stuck out of the conversation and memories of that night came rushing to her head. The girls had invaded the place as a prank and it had turned out to be a very interesting night.​

"Well EXCUSE me chico!!" I say to James with my face in the sofa. "And it's cool Tai, I got ALL this for guys anyways...."


I get up from looking ridiculous and I take the chips into the kitchen and place them with the other chips. I then head to the PS4 and begin to browse through the movie catalog once more, then the thought hit me....most of us were here but Carter and my twin spirit, Ashtin. We all were SUPER close, but with Ash and I, it was just a deeper connection....like we were blood sisters in a previous life. And Carter, that boy knew he was bad and flaunted it. I was always a sucker for anything or one standing out from the crowd. Yes, it would be an adventure indeed tonight. The crazy guys, the wacky girls....by the time the movie ended, no telling what will transpire.


"Hey.....has anyone heard from Carter or Ashhy??"





I ask, holding back memories from the infamous 'guys night' last year. Oh boy, what a night that was...

"Yeah a BOYS night out would be good you know expect this time with the girls not intruding would be great." Taisuke said smiling remembering the last year's attempt. "I've not heard a thing from Carter or Ashtin I thought they would have been here since you and Ashtin were almost inseparable." Taisuke asked shocked that they were not here.

"Are you kidding me? The girls being there was what made your night unforgettable." Lindsey said with a sly smile. She felt a strange sense of confidence that she hadn't felt since...him. It felt good to finally feel comfortable in her own skin. She had never told anyone what happened between her and the guy, only Opal knew about that incident and she was part of her college life only. These guys were part of her childhood. They were like her second family.

"Hey Aubria are you hiding the good stuff for later or can I pour myself something slightly intoxicating? Lindsey stood up from the couch and went over to find herself something to drink and to grab her Veggie Straws.

I send Carter and Ashtin a text on their whereabouts as Lindsey asks about the REAL alchy to be consumed.


"Yeah there's some Vodka Skyy over there, Tai bought some other stuff, um oh! There's some Disaronno over there also."


"Okay guys, so we can do horror, comedy, action, or romance. The movie genre is in your hands!" I say in an ominous, Darth Vader-y voice.

Me being the horror buff/fanatic, I couldn't resist. "Well that's two votes horror! I say scary as well hehehe."


Blanco lets out a small whimper in the corner of the living room.


"Aww sorry baby, come here boy!" Blanco then jumps in my arms as I cradle him like the baby he is.

"Yeah I must agree horror is the best so I also vote horror So now that's three horror." Taisuke said smiling he loved horror films and he liked it even more since some of the people in the room hated them and would scream which made horror films with the gang more fun.

Austin shrugged "might as well go with the flow so I'll go with horror"he said as he leaned back in the chair and looked over at yhe rest of his friends awaiting their answers, he leaned back and grabbed another beer besides by the look on james face he could tell that the guy had something in mind and he knew exactly what so he figured that he'd help him out.

Lindsey half ran half walked towards the kitchen at the sound of Disaronno. She looked through the counters and cabinets until she finally found her loot, "Jackpot!" She grabbed herself a crystal glass and poured herself a glass. She then rummaged the fridge for lemons and cranberry juice. She wanted to make herself her favorite Disaronno mix, the Disaronno Lily. Linsdey began to hum while she overheard the peeps wanting to watch a horror movie. Personally she was never a fan of scary movies. They always bore her. Most of them where too predictable and relied solely on pop ups, but if horror was their choice they better choose a damn good one.

With a drink in hand Lindsey returned to the living room and reclaimed her spot on the couch plopping down next to James, kicking off her shoes, and bringing her feet up and close to her chest. She took a sip of her drink and savored the refreshing sweetness. She was glad she learned the mix when Opal had dragged her to that sorority party she had worked so hard to miss. "So what are we watching? She asked to everyone in general.​

"Seems to be horror....unless anyone objects? Anybody? Eh?" I knew most of the crew would be on the gigantic plush sofa. It could comfortably fit 6 people, so I pretty much figured I'd just have to take the recliner chair over to the right of the sofa, right in front of the patio window. The sun was setting, so it'd be dark pretty soon.


I grab the PS4 controller and browse horror category and look only for the highest rated movies. I stand on my tip toes to stretch my calves. Then I lay across everyone on the sofa trying to find a film.

Ash was humming to herself as she entered her room, stripping out of her work uniform as she did so. She probably should have gotten out of her uniform when she got off of work two hours a go but instead she had went straight into the garden. Plunking down on her bed she noticed her Iphone flashing away. Grabbing the phone, which she had left in the house before work by accident she realized she had missed two texts. Reading the second on she shot Bri a response back before bouncing up to go get dressed.

​

Running to her closet she picked out a pair of pale purple jeans and a loose black crop top. Adding a black rose pin in her hair for an accessory and her usual rings and bracelets she grabbed her phone and car keys. Stopping for a moment she tapped her lips thoughtfully grabbing the travel terrarium and her pet tarantula Roma from where she was napping atop a book on the shelf. Skipping in to the kitchen she grabbed a few bottles of vodka out of the cabinet and the tray of cupcakes she had made earlier out of boredom and hopped in her car. The V6 Convertible was a present from her aunt and uncle and she treasured it dearly. Turning the key in the ignition she set out.

Sure, so Nick has been greeted and we're all having a good time in the living room and trying to decide what movie to watch for movie night. It's at Aubria's house, everyone is there but Carter, Ash is on the way. 

I jump up and down like a preppy cheerleader at Ashtin's text message. "Guys! Guys!! Ash is on her wayyyyyyyy!!!! Yeeeeeeeeeeee!!!" When I finally realized that my breasts were bouncing up and down like some Pam Anderson special I immediately stopped and stood perfectly still looking to the side awkwardly. I then followed up with a tap dancing imitation as I gradually escape the living room and head upstairs to my room to get my phone charger. "I'll be back my peeps, somebody please get a concensus on the movie, and it BETTER not suck!" I dart up the ivory steps into the hallway and turn left two doors down into my room. Instead of immediately grabbing my charger, I sit on my bed and jus reflect for a moment....

I get back to the den to see everyone still staring at the Netflix movie catalog screen. "So didn't get the movie yet?"
