" I know" he said simply. He had read the minds of those around her or just listened to what they were saying. Edward drove to Port Angelous and pulled into a small diner and got out and went to her side and helped her out. " I have been making sure you were taking care of yourself" he said giving her a small smirk.

" I can make it down"she whispered kissing him. " Keep an eye on Sara" she whispered. She made it down amd back with some food and sat on the bed yawning. " So we are going out to your dad's for Easter Sunday" she whispered. " Did you see the dress she has to wear" she added.

Rae rolled her eyes, tilting her head up and gently pecking his cheek. "Thank you, stalker," her face was considerably brighter as they entered the diner, received their menus and were seated in the back.


"So how's the family?" She asked, soaking up his presence. "Will you be leaving again or can I plan on seeing you tomorrow?"

"No, I didn't see the dress," he answered, running his fingers sheepishly across his neck. He had to tell her, but he didn't want to knowing she was already so tired. Likely Emily would, though, or Leah, just to spite him. He lightly stroked the baby's cheek as she wriggled within her bundle of blankets, her eyes peeping open at him, "Saaaara." He cooed, but she was fast asleep again.


"Show me?" He suggested when Sun returned. "I guess we'll go by there, Rachel might come by for a bit, too." (I'm assuming Paul hasn't imprinted yet)


How am I going to tell Sonya? He wondered if he even should. What if was just the doctor and there wasn't any reason to bring it up?

He took a seat across from in a single swift movement. " They are good. We are living just across the Canadian now" he said softly. " Carlisle sold the house" he said softly. " Alice wanted to come but she would freak out if she saw you like this" he said watching her for a moment as he order just some tea. " So would Esme" he said looking over at her. " No more deaths?" he asked watching everything around.

She took another abit of her chicken tender before getting up and walked getting out a little mint green long sleeved tutu dress with little lace on the top of it. " With white tights" she said in a soft voice as she handed him the dress. She knew something was up but she wasn't going to push it right now.

A little embarrassed, she ran her fingers through her hair, silently hoping like this was addressing her psyche, and not that she looked as awful as she'd felt since they'd left. "Hopefully I'll see them later, when I'm better," She commented, smiling when he said Alice wanted to see her, and then ordered ice cold lemon water whilst feeling as though she was forgetting to mention something.


When he inquired about the deaths, however, at the very same moment her gaze had flickered to the window.


"N-No, no deaths that I've heard of... then again, you know me, I don't read the paper cause I don't... I don't... believe it..." Amidst the light drizzle that always kept the glass blurry, there they were, three pairs of eyes, crimson, glaring and focused on her.


"Edward... Do you see them? ...The eyes?" She whispered, her eyes locked on the parking lot. They disappeared quickly, but she still felt... off. "Or am I... totally losing it?

Sara wriggled again, eyes wide open for a moment before she twitched, dreaming, and went back to sleep. Jake stared at the outfit, wanting to comment on how cute it was, or how he liked the color choice, but instead, he blurted, "Paul saw Dr. Cullen earlier. We're thinking they might be around, but hoping it was just the doctor driving through. Their house was sold, so they're not here, but I'm really on edge, and..."


There, relief at last. He exhaled sharply, "...And the dress is cute. Matches her little shoes."


He felt his phone vibrate and pulled it out, sighing heavily as he read it. "The pack will be scouting, they said they don't need me but I'm on call."

Edward straightened up looking around. He figured it was just a passer thru interested in seeing why another was in a diner. " It's nothing" he soothed her gently. " Nothing for you to worry for atleast." he said softly. Alice's visions had been off lately but that seemed to happen from time to time. He ordered her alittle more food that what she had really just wanting to make sure she was thin. " You haven't said yes to going out to Mike have you?"

Sun sighed as though she already knew something was going on. " I am sure he is just passing through. Often when you sell a home you have to go to the house to do a walk through before the sale is final" she said in a whisper as she put the little dress away. " I'm not sure about the shoes yet..she really is just going to hopefully sleep most of that day"she said before finshing her food and laid back down. " It's fine Jake everything is fine."

"Of course not," She grimaced at the very thought, stabbing the contents of her plate with her fork, though now that her stomach had unwound a little, she was eating properly. "He's nice... but he's such a boy, and I don't find chick flick movie dates very romantic. ...Why do you ask?" She grinned a little, curious.

He clenched and unclenched his fists, extending one arm and wrapping it around Sun. He hated that he was worked up enough to have the thought of the leeches return keep him from giving his little family full attention. He tried. "Billy will be excited to see her, even if she's sleeping. My sister's will probably give you some Babies R US gift cards," He laughed lightly, but his frown was grave.


"The phasing will start up again if they're around," He mumbled, hoping he didn't have to watch any more La Push natives join the pack. "I sure hope it's just him. In the meantime, I don't want Rae around here again. For all we know she called them up like an idiot."

Edward shrugged simply so happy he couldn't blush because he would have at the moment. He hated Mike going at her maybe even more so than if a werewolf being after her. With Mike she could have something normal something that he could never ever give her a normal happy life. He played with the straw wrapper. " I am just wondering is all" he said simply. " He is abit of a bore" he said smirking abit. " Well compared to me"

She cuddled with him kissing him to try and sooth him. " Everything will be ok"she whispered to him. " Good we still need more things" she said as she listened to Sara snore. " That is what you sound like when sleep" she said laughing abit.

"Everyone's a bore compared to you, Edward." She laughed lightly, scooting her nearly cleared plate away and laying back lazily in her seat. Her heart thudded lightly, she was content with her missing piece back in place.

He smiled a bit, temporarily letting it go. His guard was building back up again, though, and he knew he'd have to talk to the others about the possibilities of the vampires returning.


"Hey, hey, I'm up two days at a time, I have a right to snore," He joked, hugging her closer to his side. He didn't want what he had to be in jeopardy, it happened once, and he wouldn't let anyone or anything disturbed the peace he and the pack had accumulated.

He chuckled softly. " Maybe to you " he said softly. " But I would prefer if you were with someone who was a bore...you would be safer and have things that I can never ever give you" he said as he looked around feeling an odd feeling that he was being watched by something but he wasn't going to let it show. " Have you started to look into colleges yet?"

She put her face in the crock of his neck. " I am guessing you would want us to move out to La Push sooner rather than later?" she asked propping herself up abit to look at him. Yes she rather them have their own home but really she knew in the long run it would be less drama.

Rae just rolled her eyes; if he only knew how capable humans were of hurting each other, he'd understand why she didn't want to be around a 'bore'.


She looked off with disinterest, "I... Sent out a couple community college applications, leaning towards a philosophy major. I know they'll accept me, it's just a matter of me caring enough to show up. I don't even know if I want to stay in Washington, maybe I'll... Go to Italy, or France." She shrugged, knowing it was highly unlikely, but she couldn't settle here and be alone once the Cullens left again.

"I... want whatever's best. I just wish I new what that was." Jacob sighed, his arm tight around her torso. "And I want you and Sara safe, the closer you are to Emily and Leah, the better. I know she can be difficult... But shed kill for you."


He gently stroked her hair, calming himself more so as he remembered he couldn't always be so tense around her, it wasn't fair. "We'll keep looking into houses in the mean time, alright? We don't... have to do anything tight away. If they're back, Sam will tell us."


Though Jacob was very, very anxious. He had not one, but two, females to look after, and his insides trembled with rage at the thought of their peace being disturbed.
