Pedro gave a small nod and sighed heavily "I should have fought for you, its my fault and I am so sorry about that." he murmured stroking her cheek gently as he watched her

Max leaned into him and smiled happily "Good morning handsome, how are you feeling?" she asked softly kissing under his chin gently

She frowned shaking her head some and closed her eyes. “It was a little bit of both of us.” She muttered squeezing his hand and resting her head against his, starting to fall asleep and stayed that way when her mom was bringing the kids in again, Javi running over to try and climb up onto the bed to get to his dad and lily just went to sit on the chair to read a book and wait patiently for her mom to wake up.

“Ask me that again when I’m awake.” He grumbled, rubbing at his face and rest his chin on her head. “What time did you get up?” He asked her as he glanced at the wall clock, noticing it was early now so what time she’d gotten out of bed he didn’t know.

Pedro smiled softly as Javi finally got up there to them "Hey buddy." he said softly pulling him as close as he could "How you feelin bud?" he asked running his fingers through his growing hair "You need a hair cut buddy, getting a big long don't you think?"

Max gave a small laugh and smiled some shrugging some "Been up for about an hour or so." she said smiling softly "You want some food today? Or are you good with just cereal?" she asked

Javi frowned and pulled away holding his head. “No! I don’t wanna cut my hair anymore.” He told him with a pout before cuddling into him again. “Daddy what’s that?” He asked pointing at the chest tube still there. “And that? Can I have stickers too?” He asked trying to peel the sensors off his dads chest.

He shook his head and kept holding onto her. “I don’t want anything. Not yet.” He murmured quietly to her. “You gonna go for a walk with me and Lizzie today?” He asked her softly.

Pedro frowned and pulled his hands away some "No no Javi those aren't stickers, those are to help them make sure daddy is doing okay." he said softly kissing the top of his head "And no more haircuts for now." he said smiling a bit more

Max nodded some smiling a bit "Yeah that sounds nice, we can take her up to that new park they just built. I'm sure she would love it there." she said happily before turning in his arms and kissing him gently

He smiled and kissed her head. “Sounds good. Let me go get dressed.” He murmured, trudging upstairs to get clean clothes on, slipping over on his way back down because he was so tired, sliding on his butt the whole way down.

Javi frowned some and moved to sit in his dads good leg playing with his hand some. “Daddy... Lily say that you gonna die... but I don’t want you to die.” He told him “I want you and mommy to go back together again. Cause mommy more happy when she marry to you.” He mumbled to him in Spanish.

Pedro listened to his son and frowned more giving a heavy sigh ruffling his hair a bit "No buddy, I'm not going to die anytime soon I promise." he murmured giving a smile "And as for me and your mom, we'll see okay?" he said softly smiling as he felt Carmen stir next to him "Hey beautiful."

Max turned to look at him as she heard a thud and gasped seeing him fall down. She covered her mouth and tried to hold back her laughs but some still ended up coming out "Oh Richard are you okay?" she asked still stifling a laugh

He sighed heavily and watched her tiredly. “I slipped.” He grumbled reaching for her hand to help him up. “My butt hurts.” He muttered.

Carmen frowned watching him for a minute before finally waking up and stretching out, standing up and going over to Lily to help her sit on the bed as well. “How you feeling?” She asked him quietly and worriedly.

Max laughed lightly and pulled him up "Aww poor baby I'm sorry." she said kissing him gently before she gave his butt a small pat "Lizzie still asleep?" she asked a little worried. She usually didn't sleep this late.

Pedro smiled some as his daughter layed with him too "Better now that they are here." he said softly giving Lily's head a kiss "I'm ready to go home."

He nodded. “You slept like a log. But I was up with her three more times... she finally got to sleep a couple hours ago.” He mumbled. “I’m leaving her a little longer.” He told her nodding some and went to get some cofffee.

Carmen nodded and watched him some. “I know Pedge, we’ll be home before you know it.” She promised him quietly, watching him with the kids until his doctor came to collect him for his physio session, staying with the kids while he went.

Max gave a small nod and kissed his cheek "Alright that sounds good." she said softly giving a small smile "You want to watch a movie or something til she wakes up?" she asked

Lily looked at her mom and frowned some "Is Daddy going to die?" she asked

He nodded and smiled at her some as he returned with his favorite coffee mug, sitting on the couch and pulling her in close. “Whatever you wanna pick.” He murmured tiredly.

Carmen shook her head. “No baby. No daddy is gonna get better I promise... he’s very poorly but he’s doing everything he can to come home to us okay? When he’s better we’re all going to go live back at home again. Not at grandmas.” She promised her kissing her head and took the kids to get some food.

Max gave a nod and smiled happily as he sat with him already putting on the movie she had chosen "Love you babe." she said happily

Lily nodded softly and frowned some "I'm scared.." she said quietly hugging her tightly

She sighed quietly and nodded. “I know pumpkin but it’ll be okay.” She promised lifting javi up to carry him downstairs, getting them food and let her mom take them after while she went up to his room again smiling as she saw him looking exhausted. “The kids went home. Get some rest mi amor.” She murmured tiredly to him, kissing his cheek and sat with him.

He smiled and pulled her tighter against his chest. “Love you too beautiful.” He murmured to her happily while he watched the movie, trying his best to be interested for her

Max sat at the empty house giving a heavy sigh as she thought about Richard and Lizzie. She missed them dearly already and she had no idea how she could handle another 2 months without them there. Things had been left on a bit of sour note between her and Richard before he left and she just wished they had fully settled things before he had boarded the plane

Pedro sat in a wheel chair at the hospital entrance smiling widely as he saw Carmen pull around with the car. He was finally being set free from there and he couldn't have been happier. He was still told to take it light and to try some physio at home but for the most part with his leg the way it was he would still need the wheel chair for a bit

She smiled getting out of the car and going round the other side to help him into the passenger side, taking her time and waited until he was settled and had caught his breath back before moving to put the wheelchair in the back and got back in the drivers side, heading home finally. “I hope Javi is doing okay with his first day back at school.” She mumbled chewing on her lip. He’d convinced her not to call three times already with how much she was worrying.

Richard walked around Berlin city centre with Lizzie keeping her close and sighing some while he thought about max. He planned that evening to give her a call and talk about her coming out for the week in a couple weeks but he hadn’t decided yet on the details and after their argument he was a little worried she was going to say no. “What are we gonna do for dinner kiddo?” He asked his little girl smiling at her some.

Lizzie smiled widely and shrugged as she skipped around with him "I don't know daddy what do you want?" She asked happily looking around some "Daddy? Why can't mommy be here again?" She asked

Pedro chuckled softly and gave her hand a small squeeze "Babe its okay I promise. If it wasn't they would have called us by now." He said quietly looking over at her and giving her a reassuring smile

She nodded and glanced over at him, giving his hand a squeeze tightly, eventually pulling into the driveway. “Pearl missed you tons.” She nurmurwd smiling as she helped him out and into the house, the dog running at them happily and she quickly got her settled and Pedro into the lounge on the sofa with his leg propped up before going over and snuggling into his side as much as she could, “so much easier when there aren’t wires everywhere.” She mumbled tiredly. There were so many chores to get done but right now she couldn’t care less.

Richard nodded some “Alright... how about hot dogs and salad then huh?” He smiled and took her into the mall for them to go get some lunch. “Because mommy still has work and because my job said no to her coming with us.” He explained to her. Nina and Jake barely spoke to him and Lizzie anymore and so her only maternal figure now was max. He worried about it constantly, what would happen if they didn’t work out.

Pedro smiled happily and gave a small nod "Oh I missed her too." he said cuddling her close to him once he was propped up "Soooo much easier." he said softly kissing the top of her head gently "You need any help at all cleaning or whatever let me know okay? I cans still help."

Lizzie frowned some and nodded a bit "But why? Why aren't you and mommy married yet?" she asked raising an eyebrow at him "I think mommy wants to get married, she always watches that dress show." she said smiling some not knowing that Richard bringing up marriage had been the reason for their fight

He sighed some and kissed her head. “Things are... slightly more complicated than that pumpkin. You’ll get it when you’re older okay?” He promised and took her to the vans store to let her pick out a new pair of shoes seeing as she had now grown out of her current ones. He had talked to max about them getting married when she finally dropped the bomb on him that she still wasn’t divorced and that was when they’d had their first big argument since being back together.

Carmen smiled tiredly. “Mmm... hush, no talk of cleaning... only cuddling. I missed you.” She murmured tiredly holding onto him tightly, burying her face into the side of his neck.

Lizzie smiled happily and picked out the shoes she liked hugging her dad tight and gasped softly seeing the disney store across the way "Daddy look! Look! They have the little Piglet from Winnie the Pooh! Mommy loves him! We get her one?!" she asked excitedly pointing at the exact one she wanted to get for Max

Pedro smiled and rested comfortably with her for the first time in a while "I am so happy to be home." he said quietly smiling wide as he felt Pearl jump up and cuddle his other side "Oh well hello there Pearl."

Carmen smiled some and rest her head on his shoulder. “Good... we missed having you home.” She murmured. “We’re on the sofa bed for a bit until you’re comfortable eno-“ she cut herself off as she fell asleep and started snoring mid sentence.

Richard smiled some and took her to go see the Disney store. “You think so?” He smiled tiredly at her while he let her drag him around inside, eventually caving and after that took her back to base to start getting dinner ready, calling Max

Pedro chuckled softly as she fell asleep and soon he was right along with her snoring aoundly

Max looked at her phone as Richard called giving a small smile "Hey there." She said softly muting the TV

“Good evening gorgeous... how you doing?” He asked while he watched Lizzie run out to the back yard and start playing with her toys. “We just got back from the shopping centre.” He told her softly.

Carmen woke up not long after and frowned some. She hadn’t slept more than five hours in the past 48 and she was beyond exhausted at this point. She got up to go get started on some lunch for him and Javi who would be coming home at 12 so he was just doing half days to begin with, grabbing a pack of chips and munching on a handful of those.

Max smiled softly as she listened to him "Oh that sounds nice, I'm doing alright just chilling out at home." She said biting her lip gently "How was your day today?" She asked

Pedro smiled some at her but frowned seeing how tired she was "Baby take a nap when you get home with Javi okay? You need to sleep."
