So to be clear about the story for Squad 2 at least a part of it is that Brock was the only one to pass the hidden exam from his original squad by recognizing the point behind the bell test and attempting to work with his squadmates even though they refused. He was placed on your squad because he can't be on a squad solely by himself clearly. However, Brock is not allowed to disclose the point of the test or he fails as well. He is allowed to try and nudge them in the right direction even suggest teamwork but he is not allowed to outright say that the point of the test is to work as a team.

I feel Ichigo would get it right away if for no other reason than the fact that she just wants everyone to get along all would probably attempt to have everyone work together anyway thinking that if they get the bells together they can't fail any of them for not having a bell if they all have the bells.

It might take Hikaru some time but she might get it by accident by begrudgingly coming to the conclusion she can't get them by herself. But she originally will probably just try to get them before Yumei
