Arcus and his friends were in a field trying to get the car engine to start. As Arcus messed with the battery, the comet flew over head. He held onto the battery as he watched the beautiful thing pass by. "Wow guys looks like we were a lucky generation to see this." Marcus said as he flipped the fuse on the engine, and the motor started.

Leo rolled her eyes and smiled at Fletcher. "The stars interest me." she simply stated, a twinkle in her eyes. She eyed Ali and Danny dancing, sort of jealous Danny was getting Ali's attention. Though she knew Ali didn't like her, that didn't stop Leo's hopeless heart from pursuing her. The stars twinkled above her head, showing her no pity.

Alison gave a playful shove at Danny as she gave a him a scolding. "Alcohol? Really, Danny. Here I am trying to be responsible and you take out the booze." She laughed and clasped her hands behind her back. "I'll pass. I still have to drive after this."

Fletcher grinned back, then leaned against the truck he sat in front of. It seemed that Arcus was doing well with his truck, but he he didn't bother him at the moment since he probably had a little work left on it. "The stars, eh? Yea they're pretty cool." He finished his song on the guitar then started a new one, this time it was upbeat all the way through. "But it's the things that they make up that are amazing, as well as what's made from them when they burn out." Behind him, the trucks engine roared to life, drowning out his guitar a little bit. He turned back to Arcus,his lips twisted in a grin. "Dude, nice work. I think you deserve some chips." He gestured to the bag which was laying next to Villian on the car. Listening to what Ali and Danny said, he piped in. "I personally think I can get away with about one sip before ending up asleep for an entire week. I'll take the sip."

" Sorry babe you should be able to take a shot though right." He said to Allison with a chuckle "Hell yeah man." Danny said handing the bottle to Fletcher "Let's get turnt guys." He said taking a swig of the other hennessey. "Anyone else care to join us?" He said with a brittish accent and a terrible one at that. Not trying to get too drunk he only drank a little because he wanted to be ok for the big question.

Leo shook her head and stood up, laughing and Danny's awkwardness. "I'll have a little." She said, taking the bottle from his hand and elegantly taking a sip, as if it was wine from a wine glass. She crinkled her nose in disgust, and covered her mouth with her hands. "Worse than I thought it would be." She said, coughing and laughing at the same time. "No more here."

"Haha so you've never drunk before dang, well first time for everything i guess." He said taking the bottle back from his choking friend and taking another swig."What about you mr mechanic for the night, wanna drink to thirst your quench." He said accidentally as he was a little tipsy. Motioning the bottle towards Arcus.

Fletcher laughed at Danny as he took the bottle, having to play the song with one hand for a bit. As he took a sip, he tasted a familiar bitterness. He's never told anyone that he's been stealing swigs of alcohol since he was sixteen. And he wasn't about to start now. He felt a slight buzz in his head but other than that, he was perfectly fine. He looked back at Leo and smiled. "We're just going to have to get used to it then." Danny was already tumbling over his words. Fletcher laughed and replied to


the statement. "Yea man, I guess it is. But that still doesn't mean you don't look like you've had a couple shots of whiskey." While he was agreeing with Danny, he sounded slightly off but otherwise truthful.

Villian laughed at her friends and closed her eyes for a moment, trying to remember the last time she had had this much fun. She grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around herself, feeling the warmth coax itself into her skin. everything was good and how it was supposed to be. She gestured for the bottle of booze and shivered as the alcohol burned the back of her throat. "Yikes that's gross" She said grimacing, yet she took another drink and handed it back.

Elliot is a very scatterbrained person, always forgetting things or leaving them until the last minute. Despite that, they're always optimistic, always being friendly and looking on the bright side even if things may not exactly be going well. The only time that they're not smiling is when they know that something is seriously wrong with a friend, and then they're determined to help.



 "Sorry I'm late!" Elliot called, running over to the group and collapsing next to Fletcher with their phone in their hand. The screen wasn't on. It had died an hour ago. They grinned at the group, waving at them half heartedly before speaking up again. 


"My car broke down and I have no idea how to fix it," They explained, then looked over to the others, "Did I miss anything cool? Aw, I'd better not have missed the comet..."

Oh shoot! I'll hope for the best for you. 

(Thank you i had to leave my house because the power and water is still off and i worked for three days just cleaning my yard but i'm ok and Matthew can suck it.)


"Haha here comes scatterbrain jane. You're not late dude the comet is almost gone though so make a wish quickly. You also aren't to late for a drink." Danny said and then shook the bottle a little before handing it to Elliot. "Drink up dude."

Elliot looked up at the dark night sky, nodding as they saw the comet and it's burning trail. They weren't particularly interested in astronomy or whatever science comets were part of, but they usually look pretty cool, so they couldn't complain when Alison invited them, and they weren't gonna say no.


"I'm meant to drive...but my car's broken, so..." They leaned across and took the bottle from Danny and took a swig, grimacing as they swallowed. "I hate alcohol," They said before taking another large gulp and handing it back, wiping their mouth on their sleeve. They glanced back up at the comet, "You don't say the wish out loud, right?" They checked.

"Well you don't have to but you can if you want man." He said taking the bottle and throwing it away. He was ready to ask Alison the question he got amped up and shot up "Everyone say what you want now and get it out quick cuz i got some fire to spit." He rapped as the clouds formed.

Alison looked over as the menacing clouds began to for across the sky. She could feel the scent of rain from the distance and her hairs stood on end. "I think the weather is going bad..." She muttered before glancing at the rest of her friends.

Fletcher watched as Elliot bolted in out of nowhere. "Man don't worry about it. You made it here, so it doesn't really matter that you're late." He stopped playing the song by finishing it off early and Kaye's flat on the ground. When Danny basically asked what they wished for he shrugged his shoulders. "I already told dude. I want a lifetime supply of food that's actually enough to supply me." He watched the clouds grow dark and heard Ali say what they were all thinking. "Yea, but rain won't stop our mini party we have going on here."

Alison smiled and looked at Fletcher with an eyebrow raised. "It will when we all get drenched and get a cold from it. I'd rather not spend my week sneezing in my bed."

Leo looked back and forth between her bickering friends and sighed. Her face lit up as she looked up at the clouds. "It's been scientifically disproven that you can get colds from cold weather. Plus, the rain is super cool." Leo jumped off the hood of the car and took in the sprinkles of moisture from the sky, satisfied that the spectacular night ended with more wonder. Next to a warm fire, rain was her favorite thing. The smell, the feelings of droplets hitting your skin, the perfect way the sun filters through the clouds. And oh, the rainbows of the aftermath. Rain was Leo's favorite natural phenomena.


Suddenly, the hairs on the back of her neck stood up. The wind picked up and Leo's braids whipped back and forth. This was no simple rainstorm. This was an electrical storm. And the kids were all sitting on top of a car. The thought crossed her mind, but it was too late...

"So I got here just in time for a rainstorm," Elliot sighed, they quickly made the first wish that came to mind: for their parents to accept them. A lot darker than a lifetime supply of food, they knew, but  it was the first thing they could think of. They fell back, laying on the floor with their arms above their head, ready to let the rain come down, but their bliss was interrupted by a crackling noise. Their eyes flew open. That shouldn't be happening, right?

"Well i won't let the rain stop this. Alison will you be my-" Danny was cut off by a loud boom and a second later a blinding light that hit the car they were all on. They were all electrocuted and things changed in them, their atoms and their bodies but it wasn't a sudden change they were changing over a course of 24 hours it felt horrible for a second and they were out cold for 30 minutes in the rain. Danny woke up to the smell of burning toast. "Ohh what happened, my body hurts and my head. You guys ok."

Alison collapsed on the ground, curled into a ball of shivering fear. Her body felt like it had just ran a marathon and could feel her sore muscles aching all over. "Guys?..." She muttered as she looked around, frowning when her vision was blurred.
