Fantasy Linda's Comet

"What... Just..." Villian groaned, feeling light-headed and woozy. She tried to stand but fell over almost as quickly as she had gotten up. She turned to the side and clutched her stomach, feeling as though she were about to throw up.

Leo had fallen off the hood of the car, and was now lying in front of it, clutching her head. She looked at her skin through dizzy eyes, finding it had a reddish tinge it it. Her vision focused and she placed her hands on her head, moaning. Her fingers felt around, finding hard, circled lumps coming out of the top of her head.

Oh my god she thought, crawling to where no one could see her.

Elliot didn't feel the electricity when the lightning struck as much as they just felt blinding pain. It was a relief when they black out, but when they woke everything felt like it had been stabbed with a million tiny needles, all at once. They tried to stretch out a leg, to stand up, but all they got in response is pain and gave up, letting their legs go limp again and focusing on breathing, hoping that the pain would go away.

"That didn't just happen to me, right?" They rasped out, their throat feeling like sandpaper.

Alison sat up, wincing slightly as she felt white hit pain shoot up her back. "Everyone ok?" She asked as she forced herself to her feet and stumbled slightly.

She could feel a small tingle in her fingers but thought nothing of it.

Fletcher had been watching Danny and Allison intently when the lightning struck. He wondered if he was actually going to confess. A second before the lightning struck, he stopped thinking about his two friends and realized that the chips would be ruined. That's when he was struck. Pain shot through his entire body as he jumped to cover the chips. Falling unconscious due to the excruciating pain, he didn't wake up at the time the others did. Were my friends hit? And are they okay? Am I in the hospital? Did I even manage to save the food? Forget the food, I think I was shot! His thoughts continued to run wild as the others woke up.

(Thanks everyone!)

((Leo's new appearance))

Leo crawled behind the treeline. She looked at herself through the reflection of her phone, quite scared of what she saw. Her chocolate brown skin was now a demonic red, and growing out of her head was a pair of long, twisted, purple horns. People could see it as beautiful, but Leo could not see anything but a demon. Why had she changed to this? How  had she changed to this? The last thing she could remember was intense pain and...

The storm.

Leo twisted her head to face Ali, her red eyes glowing from the treeline. "I know i'm not." She said, hiding the majority of her face and changes.

"Oh man is anyone else unbearably hot." Danny said as he felt like he was on fire but only for a minute and he stood up feeling like his skin was getting hotter but he was used to it, it was weird. He spat on the ground and where the spat had hit got black like it had just been burned. "I need a drink." He coughed a little and looked for something to drink and only found the liquor he brought and didn't want to drink it.

Alison reached for her phone and sighed when she saw it had become a charred mess from the lightning. "Can anybody call an ambulance?" She didn't feel well. Her head felt like a thousand flies were buzzing around and her hands felt like she was touching a million little needles.

Elliot tried to sit up, slowly, and looked around at their friends. Most of them seemed to be fine overall. They reached for their own phone, only to find it in the same state as Allison's.

"I don't think we can call an ambulance, but maybe we can drive you there?" They suggested, before hearing Leo call out. "Leo, what's wrong?" They asked, sliding off the car and starting to walk towards the treeline too.

Leo backed into the trees. "Don't come near me...." she called out, wrapping her tail around herself and hiding herself from their view.

Alion frowned, concerned as she saw Leo back away. The others, though a bit injured, didn't seem as bad as how Leo was behaving. "Leo? What's wrong?" She asked as she walked towards her friend.

"I said don't come near me!" She yelled, her eyes flashing red before disappearing completely, only leaving a loud POP in her wake.

Leo had no idea where she was now. All she could see was the starry sky and... the treeline 30ft below her. The charred car, her dazed friends, the road that led up to the looking point. In a split second, Leo felt like she could see the entire world. Then she began falling, a sensation that came so fast she had almost no time to react. Leo screeched. Another loud POP came, and suddenly she was on top of the car, in full display for her friends to see her devilish appearance.

Elliot stopped as Leo shouted, then jumped a little at the pop. They moved faster, getting behind the treeline only to see that Leo wasn't there anymore. They furrowed their eyebrows until they heard the scream and the next pop and spun round to see Leo on top of the car. They gaped a little bit, trying to take in the horns and the tail and the apparent teleportation. None of it really made sense, like, at all, but, still being a little disorientated from the lightning and just in general, they weren't entirely sure how to react.

"I..." They started, "I thought you'd thrown up, but this is harder to explain." They said, stepping out of the trees again.

Alison's eyes widened as she stared her friend's...appearance. It looked like something straight out of a movie and she couldn't really believe what she was seeing. "What happened?" She muttered, though the question seemed to be directed to her and what went on when the lightning crashed.

She looked down at her hands, noting that she didn't really feel any different like Leo. Her skin was still the same color and she couldn't feel any abnormal limbs forming anywhere on her body.

Villian was disoriented, she was crouched on the ground trying not to be sick. She hoped she wasn't feeling like this because she was drunk, but then she looked up and saw the car, literally she saw through it, all of it's parts. She scanned the horizon, seeing her friends and confusing herself further. She couldn't focus on them though, she could only see the bright glow from where she assumed their phones were. Her head hurt, and her eyes were having trouble focusing. She lost her balance trying to stand and grabbed the edge of the car. She felt the car. She knew about cars, she knew how they worked, but she felt the car. She could feel the mechanisms, and she was overwhelmed.

"I feel wrong..." She mumbled to herself, feeling a buzzing in her ears and an itch in her eyes.

Leo jumped off the top of the car, feeling oddly no pain in her joints, despite the fact that she had just fallen 30ft. She ran off into the forest, crying hysterically. Her new tail dragged behind her, limp. She left her friends behind her, wanting to be alone. It wasn't often that she cried.

Fletcher woke up finally and looked around. He felt really tired as well as sore as hell. He groaned, sliding down off the car and hitting the ground with a thud. Still disoriented, he closed his eyes for a minute before opening them again, making everything a little less blurry. Slowing getting to his feet, he almost fell over again but barely kept himself up. Fletcher took one look at Leo then said only one thing. "I must be dreaming." Just then, he heard a small voice next to him. "Hey, can I get some of those chips you got there?" "Sure." He said, not really thinking. He pulled out some crushed chips and put them next to him. "Thanks!" Came a reply and he smiled. "No problem man." Unknowing to him, he had been talking to a squirrel and all his friends only heard gibberish.

"What the fudge is going on?" Alison looked around at each if her friends, noting how strange they seemed to become. Freaking Fletcher was talking to a squirrel, Leo had turned into a...reddish form, and Villian seemed entranced by a car. "We need to call somebody." She was starting to freak out a little. So far, she didn't feel much and didn't know if she should be glad or worried.

"Alison?" Villian called out shakily, "Do you have any idea what's happening?" She rasped and coughed. "This is too weird..." She looked to her friend for possible answers.

"Leo! Wait!" Elliot shouted, starting to run after their friend. They suspected she wanted to be alone, but Elliot wanted to reassure her that they all were, most likely, fine with her new appearance. So Elliot raced after her, and raced is the right way to describe it. Within two seconds, they'd already caught up to her and skidded to a stop, reaching out to grab her hand.

"Leo, stop. I know you might want to be alone, but I just want to make sure you're not going to do anything stupid, okay?" They said to her, breathing heavily. Not from the exertion but from the shock of going so goddamn fast!

"Elliot?" Leo said, looking at them through watery eyes. "How did you catch up to me so fast? Why do I look like this?" Tears were streaming down her face, and Leo started hyperventilating. The stars above her twinkled, as if they did this to all of them. Which they probably did, the kids just didn't know it yet.

"I don't know, I don't know," Elliot muttered, then repeated it again, louder, loud enough for Leo to hear. "I don't know the answer to either of those questions, but I mean my brain is fried, lightning and everything, so yours probably is too." They let go of Leo's arm, and gestured wildly and uselessly to represent how little they could actually comprehend. Taking a few deep breaths to calm down, they tried again. "I know, I know that this is a big deal, I mean, you have horns, and you- you teleported, I think," They took another moment to get their thoughts back on track, "And if you want to be alone, I'll let you, but I think that- that tensions are high and if we're all going to make stupid decisions, we should make them together, yeah?" They finished, hoping that what they just said made any kind of sense. They weren't lying when they said that their brain was fried and they were finding it incredibly hard to concentrate.

"Huh?" He looked up at Ali, his once grey eyes now bright blue and cat-like. "I thought this was a dream. It's real?" His mind raced as he tried to figure out what was going on. Stayed calm, even though probably everyone would have a meltdown from something like this. "But why is Leo red and has horns? And who was I talking to?" He slowly staggered towards her. "Ali, Do you know what's going on?"

Here's a reference for the eyes.

Alison quickly shook her head. She didn't understand it either. "We...we need to get somewhere safe." She muttered, not sure how to react. "We need to regroup. Find out what the heck is going on."

"Holy shit what the fuck." Danny said as he saw Leo and he fell back a little he was hot and when he saw her run he hoped it wasn't from his stupid outburst "Wait. Shit. Sorry." He didn't know how to react he was confused and hot and he was just freaking out he started hyperventilating but instead of air he could start to see... fire, blue fire he put his hands up to his mouth and blew and a giant flame burst into his hands. He jumped back startled and checked his body but he wasn't burnt. He calmed down just a little and put his palm out in front of him and sure enough a fire flickered into his hands. "Guys are any of you seeing this what the fuck is going on holy shit. What's going on we're all going fucking crazy Alison." Danny knew they weren't crazy he was just too riled up to think
