Fantasy Linda's Comet

Leo nodded and wiped away most of her tears. She sniffed, and hugged Elliot. "Thank you." She whispered, glad to had someone like them to back her up. She pulled away from Elliot before things got too awkward, and felt her horns. The dainty touch made her fingers shake. How was she going to cover these things up? Would she ever be able to face the public again? Through watery eyes, she gave a weak laugh. "What the fuck are these for?" She smiled, and started laughing and crying at the same time, overcome by the new emotions in her body. Leo sat on the ground and tried to regathering herself, but it seemed like peices of her were everywhere. It would take a lot to become the calm, graceful girl she once was.

Elliot hugged Leo back until she let go, then sat next to her with a hand resting on her back. They laughed at her question in place of an answer because they didn't have and answer. They tried to think of something to say, but the only thing that came out was, "We should go make none of the other have anything like this," gesturing to her, but meaning the powers and not the horns.

Leo nodded and sniffed. "I think i want to try..." she hesitated, thinking of the right word, "teleporting again." Leo got a running start, and willed herself to appear a little in front of her. A loud POP resounded, and suddenly she was 10 ft ahead. Leo jumped, filled with excitement.  However, when she jumped, she went above the treetops. She could see the tiny clearing where her friends were. Leo started falling, feeing a sense of deja vu. She tried to will herself to the ground, but it wouldn't happen. And then she was on the ground, safe from the fall. Without even thinking, Leo rolled as she landed, getting up without a bone in her body hurt. "Huh." she simply said, and her tail perked up.

Elliot let out a low whistle at the display of Leo's powers, the pop hurting their ears a little bit, then gaped at the jump. It was tremendous, and Elliot had no idea how or why it was even possible that she could do that. But it was still super cool. They walked forward, hands shoved in their pockets, one wrapped around their charred phone. Then they stopped. If Leo was testing out these weird powers she got, could they do the same thing? Reenact the speedy thing they did before? The idea formed and they slowly took a few steps back, stretching into a running stance, then they pushed forward, starting to run. In a blink, they were stood next to Leo, grinning with wind tousled hair.

"Okay so I can do that," They muttered, more exhilaration in their veins now more than panic.

Leo giggled, forgetting about her new appearance. These powers were super cool! She bounced a bit, jumping as high as Elliot might have been able to. "Maybe I can teleport with you!" Leo was already stretching the limits of her powers, and she had only had then for 10 minutes. She extended her hand, and offered for Elliot to take it.

Elliot paused, thinking about it, then they started to nod, slowly at first but then gaining confidence. They took Leo's offered hand and then took a deep breath as well.

"Ready when you are," they told her, curious to see what teleporting felt like

Leo nodded and smiled, closed her eyes, and focused on the clearing in her mind. She breathed in, and with a loud POP, the two had dissapeared. For a second, there was nothing but black and the feeling of Elliot's hand. Then, they reappeared in the clearing, in full view of everyone. Leo smiled and jumped up and down, humping almost 10 feet into the air at a time. She hugged Elliot and clapped her hands.

"Uhh anyone know wtf those two are doing like why are they so happy and wtf is going on." Danny said after calming down. "Anyone else have these weird things i guess you can call them powers." He said making a flame appear in his hand again.

Fletcher nodded, not even flinching from the loud pop. "Yeah, didn't she like ran off in fear or something? I mean, I wasn't really focused on her so I don't really know." He sat there, looking at the flame dancing in Danny's hand. "That's cute. It's weird how destructive such a simple and beautiful thing can be." He sat back and looked at everyone's charred phones on the ground. "It's a good thing I forgot my phone at home, huh?" Then he thought of that weird voice he had been talking to. Who was it? He turned to Danny, hoping that he had an answer. "Danny? Do you happen to know who or what it was that I was talking to?"

"I...I can't believe how you've taken it so easily. We were just electrocuted." Alison muttered as she looked down at her hands as if they would suddenly transform. She still didn't have any strange powers, and wondered if she was spared from it

Elliot stumbled a bit as they reappeared with everyone else. Teleporting was so fun, but it felt weird, and trippy. They weren't sure if they'd want to do it again. While Leo Hughes them, Elliot looked around to see how everyone else was taking this. Not many seemed as happy as Leo.

"Well, we gotta look on the bright side right?" They said to Allison with a shrug. "I mean, we got struck by lightning, and none of us were even injured. We should be grateful for that. And now we have superpowers? That's just being cool."

Leo nodded, forgetting all about her horns, tail, and reddish skin. "I want to see what everyone can do! This is going to be so much fun!" She grinned wildly at the others, hoping her happiness would rub off on them.

"Uhh i think you were talking to a squirel dude." Danny said with a chuckle. He sort of understood what was going on and he wasn't scared anymore. "Yeah your right we didn't get hurt and it will be cool with these new powers."

(Is this related to the brittis tv show the misfits?)

Fletcher looked very puzzled for a minute, then replied. "He wanted some chips." In his mind, a single string of words played through. Wtf? He looked at each of them, pointing them out and saying their abilities. "So Danny controls fire, Elliot runs fast, Leo teleports and got them high jumps, I talk to squirrels, but what about you Ali, what's your oddity." He looked at Villian, who was still absorbed by the car. "And Villian, you seem very interested by the car, can you like see through it or something like that?"

"See, that's what I was saying." Elliot grinned at them all. They sped round so they were leaning on the front of the car. Running their shin they looked around at the others again.

"Only one problem, how are we gonna explain this to parents?" They held up their charred phone as an example, but it was obvious that they were talking about everything.

"It would be pretty far-fetched to say we got electrocuted. It happened to me, and I can hardly believe it." She sighed then looked at Fletcher with a shrug. "Maybe I was just the unlucky one that didn't benefit from almost dying...?"

"Damn i'm gonna have to work double time to get another phone. You guys know my parents don't get me anything which is why i got that part time job at the grocery store." Danny made another flame and threw his hand up, seeing if something would happen, and surely enough it did and the flame blew up in the air. "COOL. You know what guys i don't think i need to work there anymore or anywhere for that matter if i want something i can just take it now." He said with a sly grin

Leo widened her eyes. "Danny don't do that. That's what the villains in all those cheesy movies do. You don't want to end up dead right? Cause villains never win." Leo's good mood died instantly and she slumped to the ground, putting her chin in her hands.

"Hey it's not like it's a big thing like taking over the world, which we totally could do, but just a petty crime that i can get away with like mugging... or robbing a bank. Who's on my side you have to Villian it's in your name" Danny looked around at all of his friends faces and waited for any sort o reaction they had.

Fletcher sat back and watched the conversation until he realized that Danny wasn't joking. He stepped up to his friend, confusion in his eyes. "Normally I agree with you on things, but I think it's the alcohol talking right now. I know people can say some strange things they regret when their drunk." He looked to all of them as he spoke. "Besides, we can use these oddities to help others out. Kind of like super man, or the x men."

Leo nodded, agreeing with Flecther's statement. "Yea Danny. Wouldn't you rather help people than put bad things on your soul?" Her tail flicked back and forth, displaying her irritated mood. For some reason, Leo's moods could swing faster than the drop of a penny. Happy, sad, mad, dissapointed, confused, and back all over again. You could never be too sure with her.

Eliot nodded along with the rest of them. As tempting as it sounded to just take a phone, rather than having to work for it, they knew it wasn't a victimless crime. They started to move towards Danny.

"They're right," Elliot agreed, reaching out to pat Danny on the shoulder. "Apart from the whole superhero thing. I don't know about you guys, but I have exams, and saving the world while acing exams sounds pretty difficult," they shrugged. Exams were difficult as is, but with the added responsibility of saving people it would be way too much pressure.

Alison nodded and smiled. "You guys can be the real-life superheroes of the world. That's so cool. I'll even help out whenever I can."

*sigh* "I don't know guys maybe it is the alcohol but... idk i'll think about it. Hell i'm sure we'll think about a lot of things tomorrow."  Danny being conflicted as to whether he would be a super hero or a villian or a normal person, needed time to think, process everything. He didn't want to go home as his parents could care less about whatever he does he had to get away from negative things for a while but trouble always seems to find him somehow. "Hey Fletch could i crash at your place, i really don't want to go home, not right now."

Fletcher grinned and put his arm around Danny's neck and shook him slightly. "Now that's what I like to hear. It might take a little bit of time to get your head situated, but it will happen." He was surprised at first that Danny asked to go and stay at his house. None of them have ever come. "You- you want to come to my house?" But then he got frightened at what Danny would think when he saw what his home life was like. But then he realized that he had to go through with it, for Danny's sake.

"I mean sure, but I can't really let my parents know ahead of time. It's not the charred phone. It's just that I left it at home." So I wouldn't have to deal with their torment while I was enjoying the comet with you and everyone else.
