"Yeah, yeah." Phoenix chuckles as he grips the steering wheel. He checks the time. "Is it okay if we camp out? I'm thinking it'll be nice to stay in the beach for a while. Clear our heads." Make out, he doesn't say it, but he definitely wants to do it. "And do other exciting stuff." He reaches for her hand.

"Camp sure I have no complaints. "She said " staying away from all this works for me."She says. She locked her fingers in his and smiled at him."so fast and furious boy why a trip all of the sudden? "She asked

"I'm getting kind of tired of everything," Phoenix admits. It's not that everything is falling apart - it's not. But he doesn't feel like he's living. There's a noose tied around his head. He wants to cut it off. "The beach is calming, so it's a pretty nice place to think, or . . . just not think at all."


After half an hour, they arrive at the coast. The beach is empty, the ocean waves rolling softly down the shore.

She nods and leaned back. She knew how he felt. When they got to the beach she got out of the car and smiles. She winked at him and took her shirt and jeans off running into the water. She had a who cares attitude always.

"Skinny dipping, huh?" Phoenix says drily. But he's already following her lead, taking off his clothes. He catches her waist, pulling her back to him as they waddle in the water. "It's freezing!"

She laughed and shook her head. "Hey I am not skinny dipping"she pointed to it and laughed. She wrapped her arms around him."freezing nah feels nice."She said. She Laughed as they sunk lower in the water."come on hun."She said

Phoenix wraps his arms around her tight as their bodies fall further down the sand. The water reaches past their shoulders. Phoenix's skin is literally shaking, but Octavia's warmth is helping with that. He buries his face in her neck and gives her jaw a kiss.

Octavia shook her head and wrapped around him she was enjoying the water. She laughed as he kissed her neck."woah getting fresh in the ocean? " she joked with him.

"Maybe," Phoenix allows. He smiles at her, gives her another kiss, and then lets go. He heaves himself over the water, making himself float. "This is nice, huh?"

Octavia kissed him happily. She sighed and splashed him gently. Octavia swam about and swam to shore. She sighed she was freezing. Octavia shivered and grabbed her towel her breath hung in the air she looked around as she dried off and got one of her heavy coats on.

When Phoenix sees Octavia heading back, he swims toward her, crawling on the beach. He shakes the water from his hair and sits beside her. "This is my first road trip," he whispers. "If you can call it that."

Octavia laughed and looked at him."aren't you cold I am freezing. And first road trip. They can be fun if you know how to make them fun."She said . She grabbed her bag and tossed him a beer. " like this bad boy." She winked and kissed him.

He kisses her back - his lips hard and desperate against hers. When they pull away, he takes a swig of beer, letting it burn down his throat like a fireball. He puts it down and rolls on top of Octavia, smirking. "You're beautiful, you know that."

Octavia laughed and drank her beer. He kissed her and his lips became urgent against hers. She smiled and kissed him back. She wrapped her hands around her neck. When he pulled away to drink his beer. She drank the rest of hers and smiled as he rolled on to her."oh am I now?"She asks. She Laughed and kissed him. " we should get the tent up and go in and get warm and dry."She said

"Okay." Phoenix rushes back to the car and grabs his things. Then, he sets the tent up on the beach, making sure that everything is cozy. He goes to make a fire just in front of the tent. "You still cold?"

Octavia shivers and nods.'yeah slightly, but its okay I am just gonna go to the car and grab some clothes and change."She said she kissed his cheek gently.

Phoenix waits for her, grabbing his shirt and putting it on. He settles in front of the campfire, watching it crackle. This little road trip thing is starting out okay.

Octavia changed and went back to him. She sat next to him her head on his shoulder. She sighed and closed her eye's. It was nice to just be there next to him.

Phoenix wraps his arm around her shoulders, bringing her closer. He kisses the top of her head. "You smell salty," he says softly, laughing.

Octavia leaned into him and hugged him." You smell like the ocean."She said gently. She held him and shivered slightly. She closed her eye's and burried her head into his neck.

Silence fills them up until he begins to speak. "When I was five," Phoenix starts, "I used to go the beach with my dad all the time. It was a thing between the two of us, but . . ." He smiles a little. "Racing took that away, I guess."

Octavia sighed and held onto him."well at least you had a relationship between your dad."She said and kissed his cheek "I am going to go lay down."She said

"All right," Phoenix replies. "The tent is ready if you want to go rest." Tomorrow, he's not sure if things will still be the same.
