History:
Judah was born in the city of Dantavish during the twentieth year of the reign of King Marcian III. He and his older brother Jhavan were the only two sons of Amir Dante, a humble soldier who served in Dantavish's Third Legion. The tomes of history are entirely silent as to Jhavan and Judah's mother, and all that is known is that Amir struggled acting as both a loyal soldier and a single father to his two young boys. When Judah was only fourteen, his father was killed whilst on patrol at the hands of The Blight, a ruthless barbarian tribe that haunted the outskirts of Dantavish's northern border. Having no other family to speak of, Judah and Jhavan were taken by a kindly Jin-Yang priest. But being bitter and extremely rebellious, the two brothers ran away a few years later to serve in the Three Calvary Legions, in order to follow in the footsteps of their late father. However more tragedy would soon follow. While on patrol near the Forbidden Dunes, the brother's as well as their entire battalion were ambushed by desert marauders, which included members of The Blight. In the chaos, Jhavan takes an arrow directly to the neck, which fells him instantly. Judah manages to drag his brother to safety but it is clear that death would soon claim the life of the young soldier. Before dying, Jhavan made his brother swear an oath, that he would not let this event consume him with anger and vengeance. Jhavan wanted his younger brother to lead a fulfilling life, to start a family and find happiness. But most of all he wanted Judah to bring honor to the Dante name. With tears in his eyes, Judah held his brother in his arms as the latter expires...Jhavan was only twenty years old. Judah is consumed with grief but remembers his promise.

A decade later, and Judah has found much success as he is steadily rising the ladder within the Dantavian military. As a Trench Lieutenant, Judah has become a skilled swordsman, an adept strategist and an expert on horseback. In a spate of promotions, he is assigned to head of security for Fadir Al'Asad, Grand Vizier to Marcian III. Over the course of time, Fadir and Dante become close friends, the Grand Vizier even going so far as to consider the young soldier as one of his closest confidants. During a lavish gala thrown in honor of King Marcian's fiftieth jubilee, Judah catches a glimpse of Joelle Al'Asad, Fadir's youngest daughter at seventeen. The young Trench Lieutenant is immediately smitten with the lovely young woman, describing her as quote "The most delicate and beautiful desert flower in all of Khartouma." The attraction is very much mutual, Joelle herself being taken with the ruggedly handsome young soldier. For the next year or so, Judah and Joelle would court each other in secret, the latter fearing that her father would disapprove of her seeing a common soldier. Fadir however did not object to the courtship, seeing Judah as both a friend and an honorable man who would be a suitable match for his youngest daughter. Fadir would give his his blessing save for one condition. He wanted Joelle to marry a military man of high standing. So before he would give away Joelle's hand in marriage, Judah must first rise to the rank of Captain At Arms, a grueling task to say the least since it was a full five ranks above what Judah currently held. But determined to marry the girl that he loved, Dante accepts the terms. Giving her reassurance that she would dutifully wait for him, Judah sets out to climb the ranks. Seven years later he would finally be promoted to Captain At Arms. He and Joelle would wed the eve of her twenty sixth birthday. The next few years would produce a time of blissful happiness for Judah as he and his bride would bring three healthy children into the world...two girls, Ashatari and Aliyah, followed by a son named Adriel. Within this time, Judah would also excel to the highest military status of all, namely the rank of High Calvary General...granting Judah the position of the undisputed commander of all of the armies of Dantavish.

However a storm was brewing under the surface, during this time, Marcian IV would assume the throne of the empire from his father along with the rise of the shadowy cult known as the Abissinian Warlocks. This sinister sect was started in secret by a malevolent Chaos Goddess known as Tother-Rai with the sole purpose of murdering the king as a sacrificial puppet. The goal was allow her lover Teth-Arr, the demonic Lord of the Fourth Realm of the Abyss, to walk unabated within the mortal plane. Judah became alerted to plot and attempted to save the life of the king, but arriving a few seconds too late. Marcian had been slain, but not before being convinced to willingly perform an incantation to invite Teth-Arr into the dimension of the living. However this had disastrous consequences unforeseen by even the Chaos Goddess. The incantation mixed with the blood of a slain ruler was enough to break the fabled Elano Veetal, an ancient and divine seal that kept all the denizens of the underworld from entering the waking world. Now not only Teth-Arr would be granted access to the mortal plane but the entire Nine Realms of the Abyss would be unleashed, leading the way to a demonic invasion that would leave Khartouma in ruins. In one last ditch effort to quell the invasion, Judah leads the last remnants of his diminished army in what would come to be known as the Final Battle of Dantavish. Although his soldiers fought valiantly, they would fall one by one until only Dante and a few his lieutenants remained. They battled their way to the Dantavian Palace, Judah crossing swords with Hybor-Uru, Lord of the Second Realm and demonic brother to Teth-Arr. Judah was soundly defeated in combat by the demon lord, but because the High General had fought with much bravery and honor, Hybor-Uru spared his life. However the demon made a promise that if he were to ever encounter Judah on the battlefield for a second time, he would not hesitate to kill him. Defeated, dejected and with his city in tatters, Judah Dante flees with his family and a few other survivors into the wastelands of Khartouma, vowing to one day return to seek vengeance.
