I guess Post-Modern. That is typically where it is pre-space flight. But more advanced than our current society. Space isn't impossible at this point, just it would require a decent amount of funding and research and an effort.

Mm, I'd suggest an alternate reality with space just being in the background so that it focuses on the kingdoms but space isn't quite out of the question, just not important.


Would there be a war? Hm.

I would recommend on the aspect of "would there be a war?" we have something have happened between two nations, maybe an assassination, a border skirmish or something that has greatly heightened tensions, this way there would be a potential war and source of conflict, but not ongoing allowing for diplomacy and intrigue to take hold.

Mm, yes, there would be distrust between kingdoms and suspicion, could be interesting, spies, traitors, deceit in general can be interesting if played correctly and not overdone, no?


Minor battles, possibility to lead up to a war, perhaps a time of peace? Like, after such an event it would seem as if everything had calmed but would likely leave both leaders and citizens with heightened awareness and some could be quick to jump to conclusions and start fights, hm.

You may both join, but the five rulers are already set. You can still play royalty such as a prince, princess or a queen if ones kingdom has such. But we won't be figuring out the kingdom's for a bit.

Concerning war. It really depends on what each kingdom stands for when we get that made. The most black and white instance would be my kingdom standing for all good and (Insert name of a player turned don't like here) has a kingdom of all evil. Our ideals would clash. We could be diplomatic about it, or just declare war. Another interesting thing to think about would be taking territories, and what that would do to the thread.

Yeah the mechanics would be cool. Once we develop this some more, I could try to make a map if all decide that would be the most helpful.

I had an idea similar to this but not in a Space type. There could be the thought of mercenaries. There would also be the fact of research for different things like say weapons of war or a new way of farming and such.

On the epidemic, that sounds more like something that would happen later on, after our kingdom's are established. But I do think there should be some sort of event every now and again that forces our kingdom's to work together.

Someone could essentially create a barbarian kingdom... aka a viking kingdom or a kingdom of rogues. That would be pretty cool because they would constantly be harassing the others, but not easily attacked. Epidemic that would naturally come if a city was say... under siege. That would be cool to see how a group of us would handle a situation. Though we still need to decide on time period and the limits of technology.

I could run a raider/wild camp that other kingdoms could higher as mercs and such. As for epidemic it does sound like a mid-late story progression

I say about a century or two in the future. We have cool laser technology, futuristic cities and cars and such, just not super far space travel. We shouldn't have progressed beyond our solar system I think.

Yes, yes, what if space was just a part of everyday life and travel from kingdom to kingdom?


What about a planet where there's a few masses of land and on each is a kingdom?

I think a tribe/raider kingdom sounds cool. I think that for the most part the five kingdom's should be whatever the people in charge of them want to be. If someone wants to make a kingdom devoted to the worship of disco, I'd say go for it.

Are we going to use OUR solar system or one that we come up with that isn't actual. I really would like to break away from reality in that sense. It would allow us to do some more creative things. Epidemic is definitely going to happen by how we are all responding to such a thing... maybe later in the RP though. If we have established colonies on the other planets in the solar system maybe each of the five could rule a planet?
