Carmen frowned swallowing hard. “That woman has him. I just know it. But because we’re outed we can’t do things the old fashioned way.” She mumbled frowning some.

Maggie walked into the room with him smiling some. “Oh you look so angry. Too bad we already know how to keep your lot subdued.” She smirked at him.

Kevin frowned stayibg quiet while he sat there just feeling sick to his stomach about eveverything. He could hear them downstairs. “Tommy’s not come home.” He muttered feeling himself slipping back into old ways.

Max heard them and frowned closing the book and putting her feelings aside for the moment "We gotta find him." She murmured stepping back some as Kevin snapped at her.

Tommy growled as he glared at her and said nothing. He wouldn't play into her games that easily. He moved to sit as far away from the bars as possible and took a deep breath

Danny took a deep breath shaking his head as he put his hands on his face out of frustration "I should have stayed with him!" He yelled sighing as he spooked Darcie causing her to cry "Sorry..."

“Oh don’t be so shy Tommy, you’ll be meeting the family bit by bit. After all, with a little luck yours will be joining you soon enough.” She smiled at him. “You see we want to find a way to cure you all of this awful disgusting thing you people call your shift... so you will be our guinea pig that way when it comes time for us to implement it on everyone else, your daughter won’t have to be in pain for it.” She told him still smiling.

carmen shook her head gently bouncing her to soothe her “Its not your fault Danny.” She assured him quietly, getting up to go get the phone and talk to the council about what options they had. She knew that those people had him.

“They will deal with that! This is a much more pressing matter anyway!” He snapped at her. “You’ve been lying to me!” He growled.

Max looked at him a bit shocked "Excuse me?! How have I been lying to you! I had no idea that this was real!" She yelled

Tommy snarled at her and flipped her off shaking his head "This isn't something you can fucking cure." He muttered taking a deep breath and closing his eyes putting his walls up so that Carmen didn't have to feel any of this.

Kevin snarled this time and glared at her. “And it Never crossed your mind to even mention this?!” He yelled at her.

Maggie laughed thst time shaking her head. “Don’t be ridiculous. If we can’t stop you from shifting... then I guess we will have to just kill the lot of you.” She spat at him, gesturing for her boys to go ahead and start with all the ideas they had, only coming back hours later to find him barely breathing on the floor and blood everywhere. “Any luck for today? We better let him heal some, it can wait til tomorrow now.” She muttered.

Max shook her head frowning more "I pushed it behind me Kevin! I try not to think about my past! You of all people should understand!" She yelled

Tommy grunted as they threw him in the cage and panted fading in and out. He took a deep breath trying to keep his wall up for Carmen but it soon went down "I'm sorry.." he whispered out before he blacked out.

Lily sat with Carmen the entire time while they tried to figure everything out. She was just as worried and by how little Carmen was feelimg Tommy either had his barrier up or they hadn't done anything to him yet.

“What the fuck is that supposed to mean?! You’re trying to equate you having shit parents to me losing my mate?! And my babies?! Tilly and Harvey were 6 months old! What makes you fucking think I want to remember walking in to find them massacred?!” He screamed at her, tears streaming down his face just remembering them.

carmen frowned shaking like mad. They had assured her they were going to do everything they could to find him and the police would also be involved but she’d been waiting a few hours now for information. Darcie was asleep upstairs but right when she started getting sleepy enough to lay down carmen felt the pain hit her like a bus, screaming out and doubling forward, shaking like mad. “What have they done to him?!” She sobbed.

Max frowned shaking her head "Thats not what I said! You think I want to remember my parents telling me to kill myself and then give me different methods while they watched?! You think I want to remember waking up to see my mother ready to kill me?!" She yelled taking a deep breath "I never lied to you Kevin...I thought my parents were psycopaths and were lying. I didnt think they were real things...Im sorry okay? But I didnt lie to you." She said going over and placing a hand on his chest frowning as he flinched away from her

Lily frowned and held her yelling for Danny but she soon heard Darcie and rushed upstairs going wide eyed seeing how much pay she looked to be in. She ran her down to Carmen hoping being near the mother would help but it barelt did anything.

Carmen frowned cradling her close doing everything she could to soothe her little girl just shaking her head and burst into tears. “I know sweetheart I know it’s not fair that you have to feel this too I’m so sorry.” She whispered rocking her gently to try and get her to relax some, kissing her head. “She’s really linked to her daddy.” She mumbled giving her her pacifier.

Kevin snarled at her this time. “No wonder we argued so much to begin with! You used to call me a monster but your kind really are fucking monsters!” He yelled at her getting up in her face now.

Lily gave a small nod as she watched Darcie start to calm a little bit "We need to keep an eye on the two of you. Especially her, that kind of pain even the smallest amount could severely hurt her." She said quietly worried to death about her family now

Max looked at him in shock "My kind?! Im like you Kevin!! That book said you arent a full Upir til you die and come back! Guess what?! I havent fucking done that so all things considered Im am more wolf that Upir at this point!" She spat

Carmen just nodded frowning some and watching her little girl. “Why can’t they see that we are a family like any other.” She whimpered a little. She was terrified of losing him and her daughter just wanting them both safe and happy.

Kevin glared at her and stormed off just feeling the anger rolling off of him in waves, heading out of the house ignoring Danny’s protests, not waiting to hear why he shouldn’t be out on his own anymore

Lily gave a heavy sigh shaking her head softly "Because theyre afraid of the unknown...maybe...maybe if you explained from a mother's perspective...they'd understand." She said softly knowing it was a long shot but Carmen hadn't been in the media and really none of the women had.

Max whimpered softly and cried softly as she layed there thinking about what she could do.

Tara sat at the bar Kevin used to always gone to biting her lip and looked around trying to see if he would show up or not.

Carmen just nodded and frowned some, leaning into her some. “I know he’s strong but even tommy has his limits Lil.... and he’s already been so stressed lately.” She mumbled, worrying about him while she got up to go call the council and arrange for her to go on tv the next day.

Kevin had decided he needed a drink. He was furious with max but he didn’t hate her so he had no intention of going to pick somebody up, he headed inside ignoring a few of the glares he got, heading up to the bar and ordered a jack and coke, leaning heavily on the bar sighing heavily.

The council member on the phone frowned some and nodded "That sounds like a good idea, we'll set it up, make sure to take extra and I do mean extra protection with you." They said sighing heavily

Tara smirked as she saw him come in and soon walked over walking her fingers up his back like she always did "Hey there stranger." She said softly to him

She nodded and thanked him quietly. “I know we will find him Jack, I’m not worried about that. I would just like to find him alive with minimal damage.” She explained quietly and hung up, getting sorted on the couch with Darcie who had woken up again and was getting hungry. ”Max, where’s Kevin?” She asked her gently completely unaware of their argument when she saw he come downstairs.

kevin tensed up hearing that voice and turned to look at her, starting to shake as he stared her down. “No don’t be fucking playing with me. Don’t you dare! If this is some kinda joke I’m not fucking interested.” He groaned, reaching out though and touching her, shaking his head. “Tara?” He whimpered a little, “Please...”

Max came down a little later and looked over to Carmen with red eyes frowning softly "I don't know...we had a fight and he stormed out." she said softly sitting down on the couch across from her and curling up into herself "Where is Tommy? Is he okay?" she asked softly not knowing about what had happened to him.

Tara smiled softly at him tears welling up in her eyes and she placed her hand on his cheek letting him press his face into it "Its me Kev...its not a joke." she said quietly taking in all of him. She still smiled and pressed her forehead to his as he pulled her in close just staying quiet.

He frowned not sure he was believing what he was seeing but he leaned into her as much as he could, feeling her in his arms the way he always remembered. “Please if this is a dream I don’t wanna wake up.... How are you here?” He asked her looking at her again feeling the tears welling up just holding her tightly.

carmen frowned shaking her head. “We don’t know.... he’s been hurt. Badly... but I need Kevin tomorrow to come down with me. And I’ll take Charlie as well... and Danny.” She mumbled.

Max frowned and nodded softly not wanting to bring up what she had found out right now "Alright, you let me know if you need anything okay?" she whispered frowning as she felt this small pain go through her chest but she did her best to ignore it.

Tara gave a small smile and pulled him to come sit in the dim booth she had been at "They saved me...the council did. After I was taken to them they healed me. I couldn't remember everything though and I was weak. I'm finally better now though, and I came to see you." she said quietly running her fingers through his hair soothingly.

He frowned watching her still shaking. “No... no you were dead. I tried for hours to bring you back to me and nothing worked. You were gone.” He whimpered the memories of that day coming back to him again. “I mated with someone else... but that’s a long story... I need you to come home Tara please.” He begged quietly. “I can’t know you’re alive but not near me.” He told her quietly

carmen nodded and frowned some taking Darcie up to their room, curling up in bed and keeping Darcie to her as well as Tommy’s pyjama shirt and hoodie so she could smell her dad and hopefully be more relaxed then.

Tara gave a small nod and kissed his cheek gently "A story for another time and thats okay." she whispered smiling again at him "If they'll have me I'll come home." she whispered completely skipping over his mentioning of her death. He didn't need to know the specifics of it all.

Max stayed down there for a bit watching TV and rubbing at her heart gently feeling this sort of tugging. She just thought of it to be stress but when she saw Kevin come in with another woman the pain increased and it felt as though her heart was literally breaking "Kevin?" she asked quietly now thinking that the fight had literally made him so mad that he no longer wanted her.

Carmen frowned eventually setting Darcie down in her crib but frowned hearing lily yelling downstairs and went back down to see what was going on, staring in shock as she saw Tara stood beside Kevin again, rushing over and hugging her tightly “Oh my god. Oh my god! What?! How... Tara you’re here.” She whispered smiling wide at her.

Kevin smiled as the three girls all started talking quickly together and just watched her some until he heard max and turned to her frowning some. This was the difficult part. “This is Tara.... as it turns out, the council have managed to save her.... they got her better and sent her home. My mate is alive.” He explained to her frowning some.

Tara smiled widely and hugged Carmen tightly to her "A story for another time." she said happily before she started chatting with the girls frowning softly when Lily mentioned Grey "No they..they weren't able to save him." she said quietly

Max did her best to mask the immense pain she felt right now but gave a small nod "Oh...then...how did...how did you mate with me?" she asked in a weak voice. She didn't mean for it to come out that way but sadly it did and she could tell Kevin knew how bad she was feeling now.

Carmen frowned some and rubbed Lily’s back but she seemed to have already accepted this a long time ago and carmen took Tara upstairs to sort her out with some spare clothes before taking her to the spare room. “Here, I’ll let you get settled in... Kevin will probably up with you shortly.” she mumbled and hugged her once more before going to bed again.

Kevin frowned watching her. “I don’t know.... I’m sorry max... really truly I am.” He mumbled and squeezed her shoulder as he walked past but made no other motion to comfort her, headingstraight up to the spare room with Tara and slipped his arms around her tightly.

Max whimpered softly as he started to leave without another word. She took a deep breath and quickly rushed up to bed laying down crying herself to sleep not able to shake this pain she was feeling at this point in time.

Tara smiled softly and wrapped her arms around him "The one on the couch...was that the girl you mated with?" she asked quietly watching him seeing him already starting to get entranced by her which is exactly what she needed.

He nodded and pulled her in close. “Shh, no more about her please.... I just want to enjoy having you... in my arms again.” He murmured and kissed her gently, keeping her close all through the night.

carmen woke up early to more pain through her body, frowning the more she worried about tommy, feeling sick to her stomach at how bad she was feeling it.

Maggie walked in in the morning and kicked him awake, “You ready for day two? Today is more about mentality... you wanna watch your wife beg for you to come home?” She laughed at him.
