Dice Kazragun - OOC

First of all, thanks for the quick responses, both of you - glad to hear that the interest is still there. Thought I'd already pick up a few of your points and let you know what I think.

First of all: XP.

This probably got lost somewhere when notifications didn't do their proper job, so I'll repeat it for convenience's sake. You're certainly correct in that I give those experience points out too infrequently. One thing I considered to deal with that was to switch over to the fast exp track instead - of course in some way that doesn't completely change your current level. Maybe just giving out more exp will do the trick already, though, I'll think about that a little more.

Second: Loot and treasure...

... whoops...

That's certainly a flaw in the way I come up with encounters and the like - I rarely come up with a scenario where it'd make sense to find remarkable things of value, at least from my point of view. I'll do my best to work on that, and the upcoming scenarios should favor a better supply with awesome stuff.

Third: NPC characters capable of healing.

I actually removed Io from the squad to make space for a character that suits the group's needs better than a ranger - having a healer aboard would certainly free up Renna to do more of the "smash evil"-part she excels at. You're not in the typical area to hire a cleric or the like, but I'll keep that in mind for the very near future.

Forth: Background stories

That's a very good point, actually, and one that's actually in my mind for some time. For some reason, Renna actually feels like the more complicated one of the two, at least for me. I've got something in mind for Veskassdak that should hopefully come into play soon-ish, dependent on how things continue from here - and Renna might actually like one of the next few encounters I've planned, we'll see. If not, I'll try again and again until I hit the mark.

I think that's mostly it for now, looking forward to hear more thoughts.

Baird or Renna could always take a leadership feat to solve the issue of cleric/bard. Plus, being a direct descendant of a godlike being does help :P

I can almost see that cohort of slimes and olms jump into the fray to the rescue... certainly impressive :)

Given the natural charm of the group, I'm certain that you'd probably find an aide or two without too much effort, even without that feat.

Same for me! I want to see Renna become a real badass with a huge holy blade, carving her way through the bad guys with ease. Lets go on.

Has Wren actually had a single decent perception roll thus far?

I got a 20 on my hearing perception roll at the door to the spider room . . .

Shame on me, that's actually true - two 2's shortly after kind of overshadowed that one...

I'll get a post up tomorrow morning, got slightly distracted this evening - if you could already give me a reflex save for Wren, that'd be appreciated :)

Funnily enough, her involuntary sacrifice might actually save the rest of the squad...

Don't you worry, it's not that bad... yet... I'll make a few rolls, then I'll get a post up.

Just a short question to confirm the general direction you're moving in: Does Wren run onwards, or do you wish to retreat towards the statue?

Onwards. If we go back, we'll have to deal with the slime again.

If you wish to do anything in preparation for the upcoming fight, let me know - otherwise, please roll initiative.

Forgot to mention this in the post just now - given its very oozy nature, there will be no flanking boni. Contrary to the traditional oozes, you'll have the chance to land critical hits, though.

I don't know if either the cold or the flame magic do extra damage or not, but it's there.

In can only hope that something does after that horrid damage roll!

Gotta say - that damage roll is actually damn impressive. Cold doesn't do any extra damage, but flames actually do - so that's at least something, right?
