Dice Kazragun - OOC

Kineticsts are kinda like a bender from Avatar, except they send blasts of the element as opposed to pure control of the element they have. Con based class that has a massively scaling unlimited use attack and SLA's all the way up to 9th lvl. Insanely complex but look like SOOOOO much fun. And besides, what other class could actually use a bag of domino tiles to kill people with?

Makes me glad I chose a melee type to play. Welcome Shnarf Shnarf ! Raging Lizardman with strange speech pattern here. To say common is not his first language just does not cover it. Can't wait for the new characters to meet him.

Alrighty, there is a lot of stuff to respond to - had a damn busy day yesterday and only managed to send off the invites. Both new characters seem great so far, no complaints on my end - I'll read the backstory of the kineticist later today and might leave a few comments after that if there's something world-specific to be considered.

Sherwood Sherwood already asked the question of all questions: When do we actually start? Now that we've got everyone assembled here, I'll adjust my first sketch of the beginning post; if things work out, it should be up tomorrow. Tomorrow for me, that is, damn time-zone differences - I'm sitting in europe. I'll start a new thread and tag you once it's up.

Meanwhile, we were busy wrapping up old things from before; I hope I didn't forget anything, let me know if I did.

Sherwood Sherwood The dwarven merchant does not seem too fond of your persuasive attempts - while considerate beforehand, you're talking about a lot of money, and that's always a difficult topic for the guys of small stature. He finally seems to be in somewhat of a contemplating mood when Psychie Psychie 's Renna jumps in for the rescue - with little success, as it seems. In fact, seeeing the paladin lets him recall that he already did you a favor earlier...it takes another half an hour for you to get him back to where you were before. In the end, he makes a final offer: "The enchanted swords (+2 or +1 and effect) for whatever you've got and a big favor. No idea what it is yet, but ya better make sure it's worth the money."

Clockwork Syringe Clockwork Syringe Meanwhile, Baird has the benefit of working alone, likely sitting in his tent and trying to solve his equipment's mysteries. The crossbow seems to be quite ordinary at first, though mastercrafted from what you can tell. The longer you stare at it, though, the more convinced you are that something is terribly off with it _ some dark magic seems to be woven into its materials, only waiting for someone to be careless. It is on you to decide if you want to get rid of it right away, or if you stow it away somewhere on the bottom of the backpack. Either way, you won't be able to use it.
The robe remains a mystery - there is some light magic woven into it, neither harmful nor protective, but you can't understand its use. Maybe at some point, you'll get to the right place and time to understand its mysteries, but for now it's just a robe.
The orb, however, reacts to your attempts to see things this time - once more, you see silhouettes of happenings in there, not clear enough to get a picture. As you think of the place where you found it, however, you slowly seem to recognize the room of the five beings. Still undestroyed, so it seems to be a picture of the past. Experimenting further shows that you can focus on whatever place you've seen thus far in the swamps, and none of the places outside - it seems that the scrying is limited to the swamp itself. Moreover, it turns black after you focus on the beings' room for a longer period of time. It appears that you will be able to get a vision of one familiar place per day.

While I don't like the idea of owing a 'big favor', I do want the enchantment on my swords. I'll go ahead and get the +1 on them, and if possible, get one with the tag Frost and one Flaming. That way, if something is immune to one effect, I can hopefully affect it with the other.

Yes, staying alive is always a good thing for a front line fighter. Or a sneaky, stab-you-in-the-back kind of fighter. Or just anyone.

So, if the kineticist turns out to be too wonky for me, though I doubt it will, I'll run an oradin for healing. So no mater what, we will have healing.

Alrighty - there you go. Short introductory post, feel free to introduce yourselves, give a more detailed description of your characters, and get the ball rolling once more.
