NecroKnight
Former Elite Death Knight of Decay

Clark lived in gated community within Metropolis. While it was no Wayne Manor - neither in size or location - it was definitely an impressive place to call home. Not just because it was a large, two-story building with a well-trimmed lawn, eloquent stone garden and shapely patio, either. The area was close to supermarkets and even a well-reviewed school most of the children from the community went to. It was the high-end lifestyle that Clark didn't live. No, he was a small-town farm boy. This was a whole new environment for him, but it's the one Lois wanted. For their future. Martha lived with them there for years once she was too old to live alone, specifically after John passed. The Kent Farm, however, was still in their family and still tended to. There were so many memories both there and here, in this house. In his age, Clark didn't live so much in a Fortress of Solitude as much as he did in a gated, urban community just inside Metropolis City Limits.
Clark was the one to answer the door. Of course he was; his physiology was just barely at forty and likely would stay there for decades. Lois, on the other hand, was getting up there in age. Her hair was grey and her body a bit more feeble, but she was in far better shape than Bruce. Probably because she didn't put her body through the intense stress that he did in his lifetime. Nevertheless, he opened the door for her with a smile before greeting her, "Come in, come in. Very few people actually visit me at my home... most don't make the effort. What brings you here, Lexi? I doubt it's just to visit." While Clark was considerably more polite than both of the others, he was almost as blunt. Of course, there was a sincerity in his voice. Maybe Lexi didn't realize it, but visiting Clark Kent at his home was a fairly off thing to do. He was the original Superman, the most iconic hero of his era, and now he was retired with his wife.

"Hello, Clark. Honestly though, it is," she replied, looking at him - exhausted. The similarity to Bruce Wayne, when at the mere moments, even he looked exhausted. But at the current moment, she tired both emotionally and physically.
"I quit the League, Clark. Its a mess," sighed Lexi, walking inside and taking a slight seat. "I reckon you heard, about the bomb explosion in Bludhaven? Well, I got caught in the blast - I was defusing it, and well it exploded. Nearly took me out, but my old suit and prototype equipment saved me."
She then started relaying their previous adventures - namely the massive clusterfucks, lack of support, hostility between fellow members. Even Diana' hostility to being more comforting or compassionate. "We are divided, we can't together anymore. Its a bloody civil war, and nobody can reign them in. I've tried several times, but after that bomb - I have begun to feel my own mortality. I can't keep fixing the League' mistakes, until at one point I am gone."
"So I just left - if Diana' snapping is anything to take away. Then no use sticking around, since I am no good either at the moment," she sighed - continuing to talk with Clark. He just had that aura of being something good - not corrupted or twisted by the years of fighting the good fight. "Batman' words are also something to simply state - choose your own path."
"I am no help dead. But I want to help. I can't the League to work. And I just trying so hard and its failing around me..." she stated, a complete wreck. She had all this knowledge and power behind her eyes - and yet also the damned heart of wanting to do good. Then she delivered the final jab at her own path. "...Clark...I am starting to doubt this hero business."
