Lexi groaned internally at that, before activating the zeta-beams again.
Soon enough she and Isroh, were back in the Watchtower. Lexi looking heavily troubled.


"Bunch of idiots!" groaned Lexi, ripping her helmet off and throwing onto the ground.


"Thanks for blowing my cover, in the most literal and idiotic way possible!" yelled Lexi at Isroh.


"And you! You aren't fucking Batman!" yelled Lexi at Robin.


"Fuck it all! I quit!" yelled Lexi, in the medi-room, where most of them were.

Jess looked up at Superman and she gave a small smile before Lexi went of on her. Her gaze went from pained to angry. "You think I don't know that...?" She whispered, dangerously quiet. "You think I don't know I'm not Batman? YOU THINK I DONT GET REMINDED OF THAT EVERY GOD DAMN DAY!?!! " she was yelling. She was about to go off on Lexi when Superman started yelling. She shut up. When supes began to yell, it was serious. Robin didn't say anything, but she took off her mask, exposing bright blue eyes that were laced with pain, anger, and regret. She walked over to a chair and sat down in it, pulling her knees up to her chest despite the pain in her ribs and pulling her cape over her head so she looked like a little yellow ball.

"We got one, who doesn't understand the concept of teamwork, and went solo ahead - causing one our own to get disoriented and injured. Which likely was known already. Literally blown our cover, or own the chance of locating the WMD's in the first place," she replied.


"Two magicians, whose loyalties, I don't know diddly about anymore - with one suddenly, losing their crap, about ten minutes after killing twelve guys. And then - LITERALLY, BLOWING MY COVER, INFRONT TO THE DAMN VILLIAN! How more stupid or idiotic can you get?!" asked Lexi. "Its like you hiding from Doomsday, and then suddenly, Green Latern, yelling 'hey Superman, stop hiding in that building'! I call that more along the lines of sabotage!"


"There isn't any flaws or failures - we got two loose cannons. When you have one, running off and causing the entire mission to be blown! Or another, suddenly going emo tears, when he killed twelve ninjas then suddenly realizing, where his consciousness is. And then decides, its a good idea - to blow the cover, of the person ACTUALLY, LOOKING FOR THE WEAPONS AND BOMBS!"


"Are you going to say, to the soon thousands dead - that well, work it out. Get our flaws and failures done. We wouldn't be here, if one could contain their urge of playing hero - or the other..." cursed Lexi, throwing up her hands in aggeration. "This isn't a team! Its a damn circus-act!"


"You can also, tell Arrow that. We'll respect eachother...WHEN YOU GET HIM FROM THE LEAGUE OF SHADOWS!" yelled Lexi again, angry than ever before. "He had to play the hostage, since Talia got some bombs armed in the mountainside, likely of Girl Blunder, blowing our initial advance. Then Mr. Magician here going emo, and deciding, 'Lexi, Lexi... I am so sad. Please stop looking for the bombs, that would enable us all to get out, and bring me back to the Watchtower'."

Walking past her, Talia turned back, going inside. he guards took both Skyler and Rai to a seemingly endless pitt. There was nothing, not even a rope leading down. Sky sighed and was pushed by a guard down. The same happened with Rai, who fell down, only to feel something soften her fall : a thin layer of straw. Skyler was already standing up, looking at Rai. "... I think you realize why I'm angry..." Sky said, crossing his arms to his chest.

I made the same mistake dad made on his first mission as a leaguer. I expected everyone to do their mission right the forest time and be close knit on the first mission. I'm sorry. I failed everyone, especially you Lexi. I'm not going to give up on this league. If anyone else wants to leave, they are welcome to, but I'm not leaving Sky to die." He exited the room.

"There isn't anybody to blame, but themselves. They choose to do it, and not follow commands - endangering both themselves and their teammates."

One of the guards on the way snapped a copper collar around her neck which, stunned every muscle in her body, making it difficult,but not impossible to move. She couldn't even fight back when she was pushed down into the pit. She hit the ground with a dull thud and a groan. She flinched, realizing Skylar must be very angry with her. She expected the burn any moment now.


I know...I'm so sorry. I- I wasn't given a limit so I assumed there wasn't one. Rai fought to stand, staggering as her nerves just didn't want to cooperate. J-just please. I understand if you're mad. She was visibly flinching, refusing to look Skylar in the eyes. She'd heard about these kind of arguments sparking violent burning between mates.. but since Skylar was human he had no punishment for being angry at his partner, Rai would bear it all.

Isroh shook his head. Lexi, I- You have to understand. I'm 100% under Rai's control. She'd never cut me off the leash if she didn't think it was a good idea. I'm just an underling. Isroh sighs, trying to figure out what the hell possessed him. He could still taste blood on his tongue, but he was fully satisfied and would be for a while. I'm a Windigo, that'd kind of what we do. It's like getting angry with the wolf that eats the lamb. He stood. Growling but forcing himself back under control.Had you not gotten me out. I would have eaten even more people. And perhaps a teammate. His eyes flashed purple at Lexi for a moment, primal instincts scratching at him again, but he was shoving it down now. He had enough blood in his system to keep himself reigned in.


Will shook his head. I'm also somewhat to blame... I shouldn't have gone off by myself know I'd have trouble seeing in the snow... Will shudders. Nothing was more terrifying than trying to fight what he couldn't see coming. I'll go with you... but don't let me go off in the snow again. He stands with superman. However he walked to his room and returned wearing his glasses this time. That should help.

"And this current situation - going solo is looking, very great at the moment. We got two injured, one who can't see great and another who can't follow orders. Another, who is likely to go berserk, at any given moment. We got two Leaguers likely captured, with zero knowledge on any weapons - and to top it all off. We still can't use Superman, since that generator is still around."


Lexi simply cursed something, and exited the medical-room, heading back to the meeting room - to try and salvage this mess. "If this was the original League - we'd have been thrown out, on the spot, for this kind of nonsense and failure."

Skyler sighed and crouched down in front of her. "You just walked us into her trap. This is what she wanted to happen." Sky said, putting a hand on his head. "Let's go. We have to climb our way to freedom. Many failed trying to exit." With a grunt, he rose up, and went next to the wall, putting a hand on the wall, grasping a small hole. "...so there... and..." Putting another hand, he found the next small gap. Through gasps and possible slips, Skyler managed to climb up the hole, but nothing could be heard from the other side, as Rai was still down. The silence was unbearable.

"We can't use those guys in the medi-bay," replied Lexi, pointing back at the room. "Two are injured, one has likely some mommy-issues and the other I assume, some inferiority-complex. Yeah, I have learned psychology too, but it doesn't take a genius to understand, they aren't one-hundred prescent."


"And the third one - well...he said it himself, he is something. With Rai holding his proverbial leash, we can't use him either, if he decided to suddenly snap," she spoke. "If anything, I might have to go solo on this..."

She tried taking the same path Skylar was taking up... but slipped due to the delay in her nerves caused by copper. She just couldn't move right when she needed to. Rai groaned setting against the wall. Not gonna happen sky... She's thought of everything. Her voice echoed in a rough wisper, in attempt to keep her voice down, put it was still enough to reach Skylar. Part of her was concerned about the fact the rune wasn't scalding her... then she realized it must mean Skylar wasn't truly angry.

Superman nodded and straightened himself."You ready for one last rumble with the League of Shadows, Cousin? " he said and turned." This is for our comrades, so let's not fail them." He exited the room and flew to the teleporter, punching in coordinates.

"Diddo, get in grab and smash - and then get out of dodge," spoke Lexi, arriving next to him - having gotten her helmet back on.


"I am always ready," she added, waiting for the beam to get them to the League' headquarters.

Jess closed her eyes inside the cover of her little yellow coccoon. She listened to Leci rave and rant, and for the young hero, nothing could have been worse. Then they both left the room and Jess was left alone with Isroh. Small sniffles could be heard from underneath the soft yellow cape, with a gasp every now and then.


I should have stayed in Gotham.


She stifled a sob.


Obviously for the alleged daughter of genius billionaire Lex Luthor, a stupid girl like a Grayson is extremely inferior.


She pulled her knees in tighter to her chest. Her boots, gloves and belt were still off, still somewhere in the LOS's hideout.


Girl Blunder.


Maybe she was right.


Jess fingered her mask underneath her cape. Dropping it on the ground, she turned sideways in her chair and tucked her head into the small gap made between her knees and her chest.


I'm so sorry, Skylar. She thought. If I hadn't been there, you might still be here.

A soft and comforting voice said from the shadows, and a black gloved hand rested on Rai's laid-down shoulder. "Come on, if you won't get up yourself, I'll have to carry you." A face could now be seen from the moonlight lighting up the pit.


Nightwing crouched next to Death, and a coy and boyish smile was on his face. He looked up at Skylar, who had halfway Acended. "I wouldn't put your foot there, Skylar Queen. Loose rocks and all, wouldn't want you to slip. Oliver wouldn't be very happy with me if you got hurt."

Jess uncurled from her little ball of self-doubt and nodded, smiling slightly at the medi-bot's demeanor, which she found rather Charming. "Of... Of course." She stood and limped over to the cot next to where will used to be and sat down on it, then reclined so her back was resting against the wall. She winced at the contact the wall made with her ribs and spine, but it turned into another small smile at the medi-bot. "Check me over, Doc."

"Oh, my, my, my. You people should really stop demolishing yourselves," spoke the medi-bot, giving her a scan over. "Broken ribs, bruises, minor injury to the spine. Oh, my. You'll be giving Ms. Luthor a heart attack, at this rate."


The bot soon fetched the regenerator-machine, gently lying Robin down on the bed, before wrapping her chest in a white blanket - that had a few wiring hooked to the machine. Before the bot, activated it - and Robin could feel the weird buzzing feeling in her spine and ribs. Always common, when they needed to be hooked into the regenerator... and well, have their bodies regenerate the injuries. Which always carried the buzzing feeling, to any normal humans, who didn't possess such a meta-ability.

Skyler heard Nightwing, but did not stop. His hand slipped, as a gasp could be heard. "...Fuchk... God..." He says, gaining his foothold. Another few grunts could be heard, before he eventualy reached the top. Not saying a word, a rope dropped from above. Skyler succeded in evading, and now was helping the others.

Jess smiled. "I guess I am pretty good at that, huh?" Seems to be all I'm good at. She lay still as the blanket-thingie got to work. She sighed, feeling rather morose, but her head snapped up when she heard about Lexi's insomnia. "Lexi's an insomniac?" She said quietly, now sounding concerned and completely ignoring the stab of pain in her ribs and spine, although that was considerably less than it had been before. "Huh." She laid her head back down, looking at the ceiling for a few minutes. She closed her eyes as thoughts raced through her head. Her eyes opened again as she had an idea, but she would have to wait until Lexi and Supes got back to voice it– not that Lexi would listen to her at this point.

"Indeed. Intelligence is both a curse and a blessing as she had," spoke Medi-bot, making sure Robin was okay. "She even stated..."


He soon activated his recording and Lexi' voice was heard. "-every mistake cost lives. Every fight, every villain. Its our job, to make this world safe. For evil to win, good men must do nothing. I can't do that, my conscious won't let me. The trade of sleep, for a safer world and to make sure my fellow companions are safe...its worth it. Skyler heard Nightwing, but did not stop. His hand slipped, as a gasp could be heard. "...Fuchk... God..." He says, gaining his foothold. Another few grunts could be heard, before he eventualy reached the top. Not saying a word, a rope dropped from above. Skyler succeded in evading, and now was helping the others.

Nightwing grabbed the rope and took Rai in his arm. His muscles worked under his skin-tight su and he yanked the rope twice, signaling that he and Rai were good to go. "C'mon Rai," he said in a fatherly, soothing tone that he had so often used with Jess. "Nothing so far has been done by you that won't be able to be undone. I need you to be strong, alright? And not for me. For Sky. For Jess. And yes, for yourself."

He soon activated his recording and Lexi' voice was heard. "-every mistake cost lives. Every fight, every villain. Its our job, to make this world safe. For evil to win, good men must do nothing. I can't do that, my conscious won't let me. The trade of sleep, for a safer world and to make sure my fellow companions are safe...its worth it. Now...give me your strongest human-sleeping agent."

Jess let out a light chuckle. "Well... She's not the only one who has trouble sleeping... Or at least, with sleeping." She looked at the Medi-Bot. "I don't normally sleep either, being the daughter of a nighttime Vigilante, and when I do.....I... Well.... I normally wake up from a nightmare."


She shook her head. "It's not as bad as actual insomnia, and no way can it hold a candle to what Lexi must be going through, but it's a reason I don't sleep, so I can relate to her there at least."


She sighed. "Lexi doesn't realize how much I look up to her, how much I want to be as confident, smart, and planning as she is. I mean, I'm smart, but I'm not.... Lexi smart. I don't think she realizes how much it hurts to be in the shadow of two great men and to be an epic failure in so many ways. I mean, she's been a success for her entire life. Hell, she was practically born a success." She looked at the ceiling, taking a deep breath. "I don't think she gets how much it hurts to be told that I'm not my role models... And honestly? She's absolutely right."

"I-I've got to get this collar off!" She groaned pulling at it, but it wasn't going anywhere, latched down tight and padlocked. It was so tight Itd be strangling her
