Realistic or Modern Just Your Average Highschool Roleplay

Alex changed into his P.E. clothes and ran out of the locker room and into the actual gym. He scouted around for Maddy getting distracted a fw times, but didn't see her yet.

Drake was in the crowd.Waiting for the teacher to finish talking. He was also looking around for Maddy, but he couldn't see her.

Maddy finally sees the back of drakes head. She quietly snuck up behind him and wrapped her arms around him. She buried her head in his back.

He heard the laughter. Yet he merely folded his hands behind his back. They were children still. No matter how they tried to make themselves look big and bad. His own innocence had been taken with naivety in a brash and swift hit. There was no such image, that could compare to the remains of your dead comrade. Blood pooling around his head, brown hair matted with mud. Blue eyes wide open, whilst crimson streaked between his pale orbs. His funeral filled with sobbing women, nothing but a flag to comfort them. A flag couldn't embrace you. A flag couldn't talk to you. A flag... For your life they gave you the country.

Screaming. Screaming of the dead and the living.

He remembered. He remembered as he lay in the mud, staring at the cloudy, smoke filled sky. The rattle of gunfire and booming of shells forming a hellish choir in the background. Flashes of light burning his eyes, while mortars screeched and shrieked falling into men and pulling them to pieces.

He remembered.

Mr DeWitt's glare intensified. "WE'LL BE STARTING OFF YOUR PHYSICAL EDUCATION WITH CROSS COUNTRY. THERE WILL BE NO ARGUMENTS. NOW, HUP TO IT. I WANT TO SEE YOU ALL OUT ON THE FIELD IN THE NEXT FIVE MINUTES. LATE COMERS WILL BE EXCUSED FOR THIS ONCE."

Alden stood up, grin faltering for a second when they saw what they had next- math. It wasn't that they couldn't do it, or that they hated it, per say, it just wasn't their favorite and combined with the teacher, they had just been hoping it wouldn't be this early in the morning, if ever.

They gave one last wave to the teacher and their friend before heading into the crowded hallways in search of their math class.

Maddy grinned and mumbled I missed you to against his back. She didn't want to run at the moment she just wanted to stand there.

Gerard looked around and saw drake about to walkover but stopped "hes busy" he said to himself and looked around

"Look, not to ruin the moment or anything, but we should go get changed,I don't want you to get in trouble. We can talk when we're out on the field." He said and smiled, waiting for her to let go.

Carter had missed orientation a week before school had begun due to personal issues. Which is why the first day of school was hectic as he tried to receive his correct schedule from the office and locker number. He had already missed his first period and it seemed he now had P.E as his second period. For this, he was glad. He paid no heed to those who warned him of his new physical education teacher, they were rumors after all. Upon seeing the teacher, he didn't seem intimidated as the other students were.

He approached him, slip in hand which would excuse his tardiness. "Excuse me, it seems as if I am in your class, I apologize for being late but there were many students at the office and it took quite a while to be able to get my schedule," he spoke quickly. Green eyes scanned the class after he had finished speaking. It looked as if they had already begun.

Maddy nodded her head and let go. "I'll see you in few." She took off to the girls locker room and changed. She slowly walked out to the field.

DeWitt glanced down at the boy whom held up the slip of paper as if it were some kind of court order. Andrew merely waved him away. "Get changed, get out on the field. If you're not out in another five minutes, you'll be staying behind at Lunch to catch up on your laps. Clear? WELL GET A BLOODY MOVE ON THEN" He shouted, his brows drawn together in a dark frown. He jogged outside to face the others on the field. "WARM UPS. DOWN AND 2O PUSH UPS LADIES AND GENTS. NO MORE, NO LESS. JUMP TO IT."

Carter laughed at the teacher's attitude. In fact, he wouldn't have minded if he had to run laps throughout both this class period AND lunch, if it gave him an excuse to not go to lunch. One could say he didn't enjoy the breaks, after all during those time students were everywhere and he didn't enjoy being surrounded by so many of them. Nonetheless, he quickly headed to the men's locker room to change.

As soon as he got out, he ran. And unlike the other students, seemed to enjoy the rush of moving his legs and surpassing others on the track. He heard the booming voice of the teacher calling out for them to do push ups. With ease he lowered himself on the ground where the rest of the students seemed to be. Twenty pushups, no big deal, he thought.

"Hey." Maddy said right before the teacher shouted for them to do push ups. "Well better get to it before we get on his bad side." Before Maddy got to down to start push ups she kissed drake on the cheek.

@JoshMackMurph

"Welcome." Maddy mumbled to drake then grinned at him. She soon then finished her push ups and sat there waiting for the next instruction.

Maddy sat next to drake and laid her head on his shoulder. She grabbed his hands and started playing with them. She giggled at herself.

Carter had just recently finished his pushups, only slightly upset that the instructor wouldn't allow them to do more. He wiped his forehead with the back of his hand as he looked up at the male who had spoken to him. Carter wasn't exactly a "social butterfly" so he merely waved in Gerard's general direction.
