Realistic or Modern Jackson's Home for the Mentally Ill Teens and Young Adults

He laughed as he watched Oreo run around Charity. "I like it. It's a nice name." As the bunny ran around him he followed it, turning in circles as it ran around him. "Rescued pets are always the best kind anyway."

"I don't mind," Kyra said. She had obtained a soft spot for cats when she was six. Her mother had taken her to a local humane society and that was where she had met her then best friend. It was a black and white tabby cat that she named Rodney with the help of her mother. she had the cat until she was eight. When her mother died in a car accident, Kyra's father got rid of everything that reminded him of her mother; including Rodney. Kyra didn't know why her father didn't get rid of her at that time too; she had always held onto a hope that it was because he still cared, though. Now she wasn't so sure. Suddenly, a loud growl came from Kyra's stomach, causing her cheeks to heat up. "Um... Do you know where I could get something to eat?" she asked.

Alex grinned, "Sure. Hold on, I'll grab Alex and we can go to the kitchen" She explained before hopping out of the room. She opened her door and pulled out her cat. It meowed at her, scolding her for leaving her. "Yes yes." She said, "I'm sorry" She said, stroaking the cat before stepping back into Kyra's room. "Kyra, meet Flame. Flame meet Kyra" She said, with a grin and the cat meowed loudly.

Charity ran her fingers along Oreo's back, "He is quite a character. I was so worried when I brought him home because my mom is allergic to most animals. We were surprised when she didn't start sneezing, so we kept him!" She explained, allowing the bunny to climb onto her lap.

Blaze agreed. "He definitely is a character. I would hate to be allergic to animals. You'd be missing out on a lot of stuff. It's nice that you found something she's not allergic to though."

Ira nodded to Durand, a thanks. She'd much rather prefer for the horse to run, the breeze would at least distract her from her paranoia. Although, her grip on the bump on the saddle did tighten, just in case. "I-I'm r-re-ready."

"She's so pretty!" Kyra cooed. "Hello Flame. Nice to meet you." She looked over the cat and grinned. The cat's orange pelt and white underbelly were nicely groomed and its deep green eyes were beautiful. I wish I had another cat.

(Edited the cat @To Never Love )

Charity gave him a soft smile, "Yes. I agree. My mother was very pleased, she loved animals but her allergies were too bad to be near one too long. I've only ever had fish." She explained as she ran her fingers along the bunny's head, playing with it's ears. Suddenly it hopped over to Blaze, and stomped it's foot. Charity snorted, "He wants you to sit down" She explained as the rabbit stomped it's foot again.

Durand then allowed the horse to go into a full gallop, the horse's mane rustled through the wind. Durand let out a laugh, holding onto his hat with one hand, the other on the reins. He steered the horse as they neared the fence, he noticed Mrs. Jackson waving for him by the barn. He allowed the horse to pick up speed as he headed back. He slowed the horse down as they neared the older woman. "Durand!" She said sharply, and Durand flinched, he didn't think he did anything wrong. "You didn't take your pills today!" She warned and Durand let out a sigh, he had forgotten. "Sorry, madam" He hopped down, he didn't need water, he swallowed them dry before pointing at the hill nearby. "Are we allowed to climb that on horseback?" He asked and Mrs. Jackson nodded, "As long as you take this walkie talkie. If you go too far, it will beep and if you don't come back when told, then you will be forbidden to leave the property." She warned and Durand nodded, glancing to see if Ira was up to it.

Alex grinned as the cat started purring loudly. She could tell Flame liked her quickly. "Alright, let's go!" She said, cheerfully as the cat yawned, snuggling in Alex's arms. Alex's smile twitched as her pyromania, she found her hand moving like it was lighting a lighter. "Hold on" She quickly handed off the cat without Kyra's permission before rushing back to her room. She tore through her backpack as she finally found the lighter, she had secretly brought it along. Alex lite the candle on her dresser, it wasn't enough, she lite another one before the feeling faded. She let out her breath before watching the flame flicker before blowing it out. She blew the other one out before turning to leave.

"Fish aren't too bad. I had some once." His parents hadn't wanted him to have a real pet yet, because he was only ten at the time. But fish were allowed. Blaze looked at Charity like she was crazy. "How would you even know thats what he wants? Its a rabbit."

Ira nodded with a smile, then waved to Mrs. Jackson. This must have been the woman who was supposed to greet me at the door, she wondered. She moved some black strands from her eyes, her hands loosening a little on the saddle while they were stopped.

Charity shot him a smile, "He'll just keep stomping his foot till you sit down, he will then crawl onto your lap" She explained as the rabbit stomped it's foot again. This time louder. "Trust me" She said, giggling softly.

Durand nodded, tucking the walkie talkie in his pocket before stepping back towards the horse. "You may not want to take that one" Mrs. Jackson warned, "The gray one in the first stall is the best one for climbing that mountain back there but you may need two horses. It's a tough montain, try the white one as well, it's really good for beginners. You can tie the rope to the saddle so she doesn't get lost." She added and Durand nodded. "Thank you Mrs. Jackson" He said polietly.

He laughed at the rabbit. "Does he think he's intimidating? Because it's not working." He gave Charity a shy smile and sat next to her, waiting to see if she was right about Oreo wanting to sit in his lap.

The second Blaze sat, the bunny hopped into his lap, it balanced on it's back legs before leaning against Blaze, it's paws against the boy's chest before it dropped down and snuggled in his legs. Waiting to be petted. "Ta-da!" She said with a grin, "I should have betted money on it" She said with a huge grin.

Ira moved her legs to the side, hopping off the chestnut horse with ease, landing on both feet. She walked over to the two, smiling to Mrs. Jackson, while rubbing the back of her neck shyly. I guess she know's me...

When the bunny hopped into his lap Blaze rolled his eyes. "Fine," he laughed. "You win." He stroked its fur absentmindedly and turned to Charity. "You could've, but I don't really have much money with me at the moment. Maybe something else though." he pondered for a minute what they could've bet. Time maybe, or a conversation.

((Thanks! Much better @AWarriorcat))

Kyra's eyes grew wide with surprised when the cat was handed in her direction and Alex took off down the hall. Trying to make sure that the cat didn't fall from her arms, it took her a moment to hurry outside her room. She looked up and down the corridor, but didn't see any sign of the red-head. "I wonder what's the matter," Kyra said softly before looking down at the cat and gently petting it.

Durand shot Ira a confident smile, "Well, lets get them saddled up then" He said with a smile. He led the chestnut back to the saddle post and removed the saddle, "Will you lead this boy back to his stall? He is really good so he will be fine with you leading, just don't pull, lead" He explained as he went to the white horse's stall. It was easily very friendly as it followed him very well. He saddled it up before tying the horse to a pole so he could saddle up the gray horse as well. This one had a lot more frisk, it lead the way more then Durand lead it. It's head held up high in arrogance.

Charity laughed, "I was teasing, don't worry. I would never ask for something-" Her alarm clock went off, "Oh, ten forty five already?" She asked before opening up her bag, there was a lunchpack with a blonde girl on it, the words Avril Lavigne in soft letters, curly letters dotted the front. She pulled out a single yogurt cup and opened it, the smell of strawberries attracted the bunny as it hopped over to Charity trying to see what she was eating. "No no, Oreo" She scolded as it tried to reach up and sniff the container.

Alex stepped out of her room, shutting the door behind her. She skipped down the hall to Kyra,
"So sorry, had a pressing matter to attend too. I'm a pyromania, you see" She said with tongue out in a playful way, she gently took the cat back. Before humming and walking down the hall, not wanting to speak too much more about it. "Alright, lets go" She said, cheerfully.

"Here," Blaze said as he reached over and gently picked up the bunny to stop it from bothering Charity. He then gave Charity a funny look. "An alarm clock? To eat?"

"Oh," Kyra said handing the cat back. She had never met anyone who had pyromania, but she didn't feel like she had anything to worry about. Alex seemed like a nice person. She quickly shut the door to her room before following after the red-head.

Charity shot Blaze a smile, "Otherwise, I would forget to eat" She explained, running her fingers down the bunny's back before sticking a plastic spoon into the yogurt, and taking a bite. She savored every bite because she would eat only one more small yogurt before she went to bed.

Alex stepped into the elevator, holding it open for Kyra. When she came in, she allowed the door to shut and pushed the first floor. When the elevator went down the cat struggled, meowing in fright. "Calm down, calm down" She hushed.

"Forget to eat? How could you do that? Wouldn't you remember when you got hungry?" He watched her eat a bite slowly. She must like yogurt... He considered offering to remind her. Hmm, might as well. "If you want, I'll come find you before meals and stuff so you remember."

Kyra smiled at the sight of Alex shushing the cat. The love the girl seemed to have for the cat seemed to be great. "You love Flame a lot, huh?" she asked her as the elevator dinged.

Charity looked away, obviously embarrassed, "Well... It's cause... I got... Anorexic" She muttered, just barely able to be heard. "So I constantly feel hungry, so that is why I need to... check" She muttered.

Alex giggled, "Yeah... Yeah, I do" She hummed, rubbing her cheek against the cats.
"Alright, right over here" She said leading Kyra. "This is the kit-" She stopped as a white haired guy stood inside. The smell of food filled the kitchen, "Oh, hello!" Alex greeted.

Blaze frowned. "But... Don't people die from that all the time? Its really bad. Thats why you're here isn't it?" He was surprised to find that he was concerned for her, although he did not know how to express it.

Kyra hurried after Alex, eager to start digesting some food. When the smell of food starting filling the air, she nearly started to speed-walk, but managed to reign herself in. Hearing Alex greet someone, she peered over the red-head's shoulder and gazed into the kitchen. There she spotted a white-haired boy. The sight of him made her breath catch in her throat and her heart speed double time. Right then her stomach let out another loud growl, causing her cheeks to burn dark red. Before anyone could question her on her current state of hunger, she quickly said, "It's smells good in here. Whatever's cooking smells good." At that moment, she felt like hiding out in a cave in the middle of no-where.

Ira nodded, walking along with the horse to the stalls and tying it up carefully; she ran her fingers through his mane again, smiling before following Durand to other horses. "Wh-Which a-am I r-ri-riding?" Ira questioned him, wiping off her light blue 'pajamas'. She, unfortunately, wore her pajamas from the hospital, they were comfortable.
