I think a look into the cultures of the different states could be really useful. We could even divide and conquer to give each person their territory to contribute to.

City names, landmarks, and things like that could be created as the roleplay progresses so that we don't spend too much time world building.

Oh! How about we have like patterns kinda how Akira toriama named people in dragon ball

Like one country is named after a fruit, berry cities and, maybe each street could be a desert

Also I love world building so I may keep track of the names

I'd like to throw out an idea then.

A typical high-fantasy world full of magic and a variety of creatures, from the average human to terrifying dragons and eldritch horrors. But the world is also full of gods, some real some not, but these and other powerful entities are how our characters find themselves in this new world.

Whether you died and were reincarnated, whisked away on a whim, or you intentionally brought yourself here, you awake to find yourself on the continent of Terrect(?) in the kingdom of Cantor. The kingdom is vast and teeming with life, but for all its beauty and splendor there is trouble brewing.

The arrival of Outworlders (Isekai'd people) has started to tip the scales of power among the natives of this world as wealthy nobles, merchants, religious sects, kings and queens, and even deities employ these foreigners to use their sometimes amazing abilities to eliminate the competition. This causes the breaking of old alliances and war seems to be inevitable for many of the continent's superpowers.

So as you find your way in this new world you must decide; will you play the game? Are you a champion of the people? A chosen of the divine? A sword sold to the highest bidder? What mark will you leave upon this isle and the greater world?

Cantor: A thriving feudal nation nestled in the west of the continent. It is a lucrative trading hub and a gateway to the neighboring continent [Insert Name]. Because of this it is yet to be affected by the changes occurring deeper in the continent and instead still lives in peace with the neighboring states.

Outworlders: To the common person these people are not real; they're stories told around campfires and to children. But more learned people know they are very real and some people in positions of power have even managed to summon Outworlders to this world.

Player Characters: (Per Sync's suggestion) Our characters would begin as amateurs in their respective fields and must endeavor to build not just their skills, talents, and their reputations, but also their homes and find some way to provide for themselves.
Maybe high fantasy, but low magic. Magic energy, mana or whatever, is everywhere like oxygen in earth's atmosphere, but there's a cabal or an organization which found a way to "scrub" the air of magic energy for their exclusive use, leaving it in extremely low concentrations, to explain why magical creatures exist but not every human person uses magic all the time. Magic energy could be described as a corrosive force, like oxygen in our own atmosphere, it's volatile and dangerous and causes tangible damage to our bodies (oxidation). Magic utilization could be explained as an adaptation, like a mussel forming a pearl (response to irritant), humans developed a "magic core" to concentrate and manipulate the flow of magic to mitigate the inevitable damage. Most people would not be able to cast magic, because they are not exposed to magic energy often enough to develop a core. The transmigrated would be gifted such a core by the summoning deity, or perhaps they are just made immune to the damaging effects and simply can use it because of a blessing or whatever.

I don't mean to negate any ideas here I'm just spitballing. I like the political/religious aspect of magic energy being concentrated by the elites, analogous to wealth and resource concentration in the real world.

I like the idea that magic (mana) is in the air and humans and other creatures exposed to magic have a magic core, not sure of it being like a corrosive force. I was thinking it works like electricity almost. It powers your body in small amounts large bursts can be harmful, and it can be channeled to certain materials. I think rather than just plasma like electricity here, it can take any state of matter. And if governing bodies like kings or lords regulate the mana to their benefit it would make sense

Static electricity, static mana, mana core or mana soul or whatever functions as a capacitor or battery, maybe as a lightning rod for the particularly skilled mage to negate the magic of others like a "silence" effect. There are so many things that can be done with either path, you could say the possibilities are electric

These are two items to decide on currently. First; using one of the maps above and editing them or creating our own?

Second, using a high fantasy world in which magic is sort of this free flowing element available to all, whether you study, have innate magic abilities, or sign contract with some entity. Or should magic be more of a rare commodity and potentially harmful element that is instead hoarded by those in positions of power, creating a world where most humans lack the ability to use magic without harmful side effects?

In the rp that died and this was created to replace, I don’t remember what it was supposed to be, I just know people from other worlds were supposed to be given magic abilities they may not have had in the world they came from
