What's the range to the fleeing shadow? Are we within combat range, or are they at extreme and beyond?

I’ll say Long range, but with all the trees the target has heavy cover from ranged attacks.

Good question. If you are very quick, there is the chance of turning the overload off and stopping the explosion. It will require either a Sail skill rating of 3 or a Craft or Lore skill of 4, either one will work.

Exalted Essence is a slimed-down version of the core Exalted game. It is a little simpler, and has rules in place for all the different types of Exalts already. I briefly played a game of it here on line and it was enjoyable.

Huh! I bet there are a number of players like myself who just have trouble with the "crunchiness" of Exalted 3.0, so I really hope an "Exalted Lite" is well worth the effort for both the developers and Exalted fans alike. =)
