Fandom Into the fire (1x1 MzHyde/Gallifrog)

Neither Fia or Kay were surprised that's Rinaa was going for both, purely because of her hyper metabolism. If anything they would have been more surprised if she just picked one or the other. Kay noticed the find smile appear on Elliott's face and she just knew he'd fall into that father role just fine if he gets the chance to, which she really hoped he would. He seemed to sound like the perfect big brother to Fia in her timeline, so being a father didn't seem that far fetched to Kay. She watched as Jay and Rinaa argued over what to watch, the whole thing making her chuckle seeing it unfold.

When the food arrived, she waited until the burgers arrived, then went in for her pizza she ordered which this time was just a big standard cheese and tomato one. She didn't want anything much toppings wise, and something just easy to eat. Fia went with a meat feast pizza with added pineapple. Something that Kay thought should have gone together, but Fia seemed happy by it so she couldn't complain. She just wanted her kid to be happy, especially after her mood dip earlier on in the day. When Elliott clearly wanted to groan out of happiness, Fia laughed at him. "You may as well marry the burger if you're that in love" she teased.

Elliott rolled his eyes at Fia's remark, choosing to savour his burger. He looked utterly blissed out and once again John couldn't help but comparing him to a cat, one ghat had gotten exactly what he wanted. Rinaa and Jay decided this was an excellent moment to gang up on him. Neither made an conscious decision to tease him, it just sort of happened. "Well we don't have to buy a wedding dress for the occasion, the dress from the other day will do." Jay smirked, reaching over and casually taking a prawn cracker from the bag Rinaa had gotten with her order. How that worked as a food combination John didn't quite understand, but Rinaa had insisted on getting them. "And we all know that the burger is the dominant one in this relationship."

John snorted a laugh at that comment, up until then he'd been concealing his face behind his burger, which he had to admit was extraordinarily good. "I'm totally okay with this marriage, just don't crash ours with your fling." Cliff smirked as Cal gave the accompanying look of 'and if you even consider doing such a thing, I'll use my sisterly powers to smite you out of existance'. "I'll probably just elope." Elliott shrugged, taking another large bite. "A.J's gonna be pissed." Jay declared, knowing just much pride the three McCrowley siblings had put into their restraunt and food business. And to be fair they did a hella good burger, but this one was better.

When Elliott rolled his eyes at Fia's remark she just smirked in an even more smug manner. She loved teasing him in such ways and generally being that annoying kid sister whenever she could. It made her feel normal to be like it. Though when Jay and Rinaa both ended up joining in and adding to the initial remark, she couldn't stop the chuckling that started up which would end up building into full blown laughter as the teasing went on, with Rinaa's comment.

Kay also noted how Elliott looked, remembering what John said about Elliott being like a cat, and the photos of kid him looking very cat like. She chuckled at Cliff warning Elliott not to crash her wedding with his burger love, which only continued when Elliott said about eloping. "You're right Jay. Think AJ and his burgers will utter heartbroken that Will could cheat on them so badly and have an affair with this new burger. I mean really Elliott...have you no shame? Cheating on those burgers that have been there for you for years." She smirked, taking a bite out of her pizza slice that she had in her hand, which ever fibre of her being welcomed immensely.

Fia looked and watched on as her initial comment started something so utterly ridiculous and there was no way she could hide the pride and smugness on her face about it as she ate her pizza. If this was in her timeline and just her, Kay, Elliott and John, she would have piped up with the cheesy, playful tone of 'loooove youuuu bro!' that would have been a perfect in an episode of family guy, whilst poking him in her side with either her hand or foot. Yet she wasn't so she refrained from saying it.

Cal smirked having finally thought of something witty to say. "Well if this is how you choose to come out as burgersexual, just know that we all love you, support you and this really doesn't change anything." There were snorts of laughter, with Rinaa deciding against continuing the joke by saying that she wasn't mutually exclusive when it came to food types and that they were all damn gorgeous. Rinaa and Jay were the only others in the room who knew A.J. well enough to verify that he would indeed be annoyed that Elliott had found a better burger. But they also knew the Irish boy would take it as a personal challenge to create an even better. Making burgers and running a small time vigilante operation on the side hadn't been how he'd imagined his working life to go. But after the three siblings had left their parents they needed money. Máirtín had enough to purchase the building and the twins were old enough to work, so they built everything form the ground up.

At Kay's remark Elliott smirked, having found a legitimate point to protest. "You're forgetting something" He waved the partially eaten burger at Kay as if it would help him emphasise his point. "These burgers were in my life first and for a good few years longer if I'm doing the maths right." "So that makes A.J what then? A fling on the side?" Chas smirked, taking a slice of pizza and laughing as the whole scene played out before him. It was getting stupid beyond belief and it hadn't been anywhere remotely approaching sensible to begin with. Elliott didn't have an answer for that. "Like I said, A.J's gonna be so pissed, I cannot wait to see what happens when he finds out your dirty secret. Add to that the fact that you didn't take him to an alien planet and it'll be a great night of entertainment."

When Cal came out with her words of 'support' Kay stifled back her laughter, as she had a mouthful of pizza. She knew she laughed properly it wouldn't be a pretty sight, as pizza could have well and truly gone flying everywhere. She looked at Elliott when he started to come back with a protest, waving the half eaten burger at her, making her smirk. As he said what he did, she granted him that he had a valid point and was about to still retort back when Chas beat her to it, and she couldn't stop the laughter escaping, luckily having finished her mouthful by this point.

Fia smirked at the whole scene playing out before her as she all but shovelled more pizza into her mouth, and laughing between mouthfuls. As Chas said his comeback, she gave him that 'good one uncle!' nudge, seeing that Elliott couldn't come back with anything at that. She listened to what Jay said and smirked, she knew AJ and the gang in her timeline, but wasn't ever allowed to go with Elliott or Jay to see what they did outside of serving food. Though Elliott had taken her to the restaurant side before to treat her to lunch after training days. She knew of their underground activities but wasn't involved, even though she wanted to be. If Fia wasn't from the future she would have said about wanting to be there when that conversation happens, or have someone video call her the whole thing, but she knew it wouldn't be possible. Aside from that slightly downing thought in her head, she was glad this utterly conversation continued after her little smartass comment, as she really needed it.

Rinaa knew A.J's gang very well, they usually ended up crashing at the restraunt when they were on Earth and couldn't stay with Chas. After Elliott's death all grudges about Jay were put aside and there was guilt over not accepting her earlier. She even pulled in and worked there when they desperately needed the help. In Fia's timeline it was Elliott's second port of call when he, Leah and Jay were on Earth (after John's apartment of course). In both timelines the small network A.J's gang had been created was now absorbed as part of the larger city wide network. Kane now played a major role in funding and running it as he owned a massive science tech R&D company as well as having serious connections in high places.

"It'll be Toby who is the most annoyed about not going to an alien planet, let's be honest here." "Oh most definitely." Jay agreed, she was well aware that Rinaa knew the crew in her timeline and even though Jay had had a very rocky start with them, they'd grown on her and they were her friends. "The others also have an interest in going off planet. Well.... except Scott, he already has enough problems on Earth, let alone trying to figure out another planet." Elliott replied, finding himself missing the gang and their antics. "He's a damn tough one, he'd figure it out if it came to that. You know that at the moment he's in Japan?"

Kay and Fia couldn't contribute to the topic of AJ's gang. They knew them but nowhere to the extent that the others did. They however could tell that Elliott was starting to miss his old gang from Earth. Both girls focused on their food, both coming near the end of it as pizza was incredibly easy to eat in a short amount of time. Kay was particularly feeling satisfied with it, savouring every mouthful she took, even if she did made a mental promise to herself to start eating more healthily when she could after this day.

She listened to the talk but didn't contribute though did find it interesting that one of the group had gone to Japan lately. She leaned over to get her drink off the table, sipping it to wash down some of the food as they spoke, shuffling and lifting one leg up and bending back, sitting on it. A positions hat should not be comfortable in any way, but she strangely found it comfortable. Fia glanced over and saw that that's where she got her arrange sitting positions from. "Is Scott the vampire? Am I remembering that correctly?" Fia asked, trying to remember correctly.

Elliott nodded. "Yep, he's the vampire, but I suppose vampire plus would be a more accurate label." He set aside the remains of the burger to explain, as more than likely Fia wouldn't know a lot of what he was going to say was true outside of mythology. "His parents were both vampires, fully turned pure blood, they had latent vampire traits in their DNA. Normally pure bloods are sterile and can't produce offspring, the odds are like 1 in 5 million or something crazy like that. Both his parents beat those odds, thus creating Scott. As a second generation vampire he's automaticaly a daylighter and has the usual enhanced healing, speed, sense, dark vision, fangs and needs to drink blood to survive. But he also has a rare ability that his blood can heal anybody celestial, human or Downworlder. Despite being extremely rare this is a name for his kind- Demji."

John remembered the explanation well, his utter shock as Elliott confirmed that the Asian male bleeding out on the table in front of him was something he'd only heard of in legend. "But Scott is different from any Demji, and that is because of what happened to him. His parents were killed when he was four and he was auctioned off and spent a good portion of his life as a lab rat. The researchers wanted to find out what made him so different and how this could be weaponised basically. In the process his healing factor was warped and only heals minor injuries or when he's on the brink of death. There's no in between with him. And despite everything he's actually a really chill guy."

Fia nodded, glad that she remembered which one was Scott correctly. She had of course only bumped into his group whilst in the restaurant, when she got introduced as his little sister and that was it. But she also remembered being told the story of how Scott stayed with Kay when she temporarily died, despite being rightly so terrified of fire. She listened to the rest of the information about Scott, which she subconsciously found herself leaning on her legs and forward slightly taking in the information gladly. The look of fascination evident on her face, having never been told this about Scott before.

Like John, Kay remembered it well as well. She still feels thankful to Scott for staying with her whilst she died, not wanting to die alone whilst John sent Ethan to hell with his croney. "In my time I've met everyone in your group but that's as far as it went. You embarrassed the hell out of me in AJ's restaurant being that irritating big brother, so I briefly remember whose who kinda thing." She explained back with a fond smile. Kay smirked easily imagining it going that way between the two of them. Their personalities were as similar as they were different.

The fascination in Fia's eyes at the origin story for Scott was evident to everybody in the room. Elliott knew she was deep in the magical world and would have the base knowledge of vampires to understand what he said and the implications of what he'd been abused for. It would make sense that he'd introduce Fia to them, but he couldn't say if letting her further into the world was an option, he don't even know if they were still doing the vigilante stuff in the future. "It went a lot further in my timeline, we" Rinaa gestured at herself and Jay "used to crash there when we were on Earth. So I got to know everybody pretty well. Plus when they were short staffed and I was around I'd get roped in for waiter duty. The advantages of being taller and older looking than your real age I guess."

Rinaa put down the plate as she was finally finished eating her mega portion of food. "And Kane was my boss for a whole when I did some work experience at his lab. Then one time I kind of ended up at the Kane family reunion once....that was...... awkward." Elliott raised an eyebrow wondering how and why she was at that reunion and Rinaa sent back a look that said 'you really don't want to know, plus it' s the future and spoilers are not a good thing in this case. Let's leave it at I have friends in strange places'. Elliott understood exactly what she meant, but had no idea how. "Fair point, I'll take that as an answer. So the orginal point, why exactly is Scott in Japan?" "Partially to help position the relay boosters to get a big enough transmitter to get any kind of data to Attil, and partially because A.J thinks he's found a lead there."

She was enjoying her side conversation with Elliott when Rinaa jumped in and said how much more connected to everyone she was than Fia. She refrained from rolling her eyes at it, as she didn't want to risk any drama in front of everyone. She didnt say what she did to start a competition of who knew who better, so she just nodded but purposely shut out what Rinaa had to say. It was better for her own sanity that she did it so she didn't feel the need to leave the room yet again in one day.

When the topic went back to the original place of why Scott was in Japan, Fia paid attention again, even though she had no idea what Jay was on about about leads and the likes. Kay noticed how Fia shut out Rinaa's little comment and quietly sighed to herself, seeing that Fia was taking it something it probably wasn't meant. It reminded her just how at competition the two of them were with each other. She just let Elliott and Jay talk about the group, whilst she let her food sit for a bit.

Rinaa hadn't said what she had said to be competitive, she has no idea what kind of information Elliott should know about her (although she had a very good on idea on what he shouldn't know about her). A.J's crew had come up in discussion before, just a confirmation that they were all alive and that Kane had suceeded in his goal of both bringing down and passing out his father. So it seemed like a fairly safe topic topic that wouldn't give away too much about anything. "What sort of lead?" "A.J thinks he's found the facility he was taken to, or..... at least one of the facilities." The hanging sentence portrayed just how little they knew about what Scott had been through. The man himself couldn't even say if he'd been in more than one facility.

"Wow.....yeah, thats.....pretty damn big." Elliott ran a hand through his hair. "A.J's gone with him, for obvious reasons, while the rest have dispersed themselves to various places across the world in order to get the relay up and running. Kane's had to hijack a satellite or two because of you." Jay gave him a narrowed eye look, she didn't approve of what he'd done and the fact that he'd left without telling anybody. She'd suspected pretty quickly what he was doing, but that didn't make it any easier. "Yeah, not my finest move........" "Understatement of the century there. There's some serious explaining to be done." John leaned back into the couch watching as Jay flipped so easily between roles- informing friend, criticising, disapproving girlfriend and general sarcastic person. She was a challenge to be around, he could see that easily, but a good challenge for Elliott.

Both girls listened to what was being spoken about, and neither of them had to know Scott well to know that was a bloody big deal if the lead proved useful. Just from what Elliott explained to Fia, they could tell a lot from Jay's sentence that hung in the air. Kay saw the scrutinizing look Jay gave Elliott and how Elliott reacted to it. It amazed Kay every single how Jay could just switch roles on Elliott in such short spaces of time.

As John leaned back, she leaned against him, as she was pretty close to him anyway because of how many of them were on the couch, she naturally just went back with him, especially in her position of one leg under herself making her balance off when he moved. To regain some kind of natural comfortable balance, she used her arm next to him and propped it on his leg, her hand just lightly draped over his knee, with her other hand on her own knee on the bent leg. "You're never gonna live this down with her Ell" she remarked.

Elliott nodded at Kay's reading of the situation. "I know, I know, I'm well aware." He was going to add that Jay wouldn't let him forget it until the day he died, but that cliché was in extremely bad taste, given that in Rinaa's timeline he did indeed die. And Rinaa knew that Jay didn't let dead Elliott forget it. She'd eavesdropped on her mother at Elliott's grave one too many times and it always followed the same format. Jay would start with whatever had happened since the last time, whatever it was tat was causing her grief, mixed with acerbic remarks and things Elliott would hav found funny. The it would turn into how she missed him and why was it all so bloody hard? And it would end with something along the lines of 'why did you have to do it? Why did you have to be the hero?' Elliott's grave was one of the only places Rinaa had ever seen Jay cry at (the other place being her brothers grave) and it was heartbreaking to see.

"And don't you forget it." Jay replied with a smirk, but the emotions didn't reach her eyes. She too was thinking of what would happen if Elliott died and everything went to shit. With foreknowledge would they act any differently? Jay suspected she would, not even bothering to try living on Earth. Rinaa could sense this and moved closer to Jay. "I've got far more dirt on you, than you've got on me." "No you don't." Sure both of them had some serious dirt on each other, a lot of it stalemate it couldn't be told without incriminating himself, Elliott thought. "Yeaaaah, I do. You're forgetting which one of us has the better hacking skills and spends a lot of time at the bunker computers."

If Kay really thought about it, she was pretty sure Jay wouldn't be the only one who wouldn't let him live it down, she could easily imagine John reminding him of what an insane idea this was if the opportunity ever raised itself, and if Rinaa was by a miracle still around, she wouldn't either, nor would anyone else. She noted the smirk on Jay's face, but how it didn't reflect in her eyes. If Elliott did die, Kay had already decided she would do all she could to not be the evil version of herself, even though she did wonder if that big a change was even possible.

Fia smirked at the two of them trying to decide who had more dirt on who, and she was convinced even in her timeline Jay definitely had more on Elliott than the other way round. When Jay said about having the better hacking skills, Fia wasn't surprised. Neither was Kay when it came to it, Jay just seemed the type, even if she didn't know what kind of person Jay was, Kay would have put her down as the type to be a hacker at least. She wouldn't even have put it passed Jay to have hacked into all their public files at some point, she knew Jay has done it to John at least.

"She's got a point Ell, this one did hack into the Watchtower after all." John smirked from his position on the couch. It wasn't quite as ridiculously comfortable as his own couch (which was soft and broken from years of use and abuse), but it did an excellent job of being comfortable none the less. In his mind Jay was classified as either an enigma or a jack of all trades, given that she kept on surprising them with what she knew. Jay gave a slight smirk at John reminding the others of this feat, she was proud of having done that. She had as Kay suspected been through their files, particularly John and Chas'. It was part curiosity, part figuring out what kind of people Elliott wanted them to protect. She'd also done as much of a background check as possible into A.J's crew, drawing blanks on Scott as there really was nothing there. There was some stuff on the twins and Toby and plenty on Kane and his family. She hadn't gotten around to Kay yet, but in time she would.

"Technically I just added a backdoor within the reams of code, but it still involved breaking into the physical place, so take from that what you will." She shrugged, before directing her next comment at Elliott. "Which you can't complain about as you were going to do that exact same thing in order get those files." "You're right, I can't argue with that now, even if I was stupid enough to do so earlier." Elliott nodded. His decision to plan to break into the Watchtower had been part of the argument that had resulted in his black eye (which was now a sort of off-yellow colour). "You're learning, albeit very slowly."

Kay smirked at the reminder of Jay successfully hacking into the watchtower that John made. She also noted the proud and smug look on Jay's face about achieving it. She still found herself every now and then trying to work Jay out, but she figured she wasn't alone in that assumption. If Jay ever did hack into Kay's public files, she wasn't sure she would want to know, as her files would have about her old hospital visits, her adoption into Sam's family, among other information. Yet it was the hospital visits that she didn't want Jay to know about, so if Jay ever found that out, she'd rather not know.

When the conversation drifted naturally into the whole moment of telling Elliott he couldn't complain due to wanting to do it himself, Kay knew she had a point, not to mention that it made it click in her mind that his black eye is clearly linked to that very topic. Though when Jay said he was learning slowly, Fia smirked and couldn't resist a jab at Elliott, "It's Ell, of course it'll be learned slowly! For an intelligent guy he can be reaaaaaaally dumb sometimes!" She smirked.

Fia's jab wasn't one hundred percent true, there were some things Elliott had learned extremely quickly. Magic was one of them as he'd been born with an instinctive understanding of it. Parkour was another thing he grasped easily. Cooking had been closer to a trial and error experience with a big element of making it up as he went along to see what happened. Dealing with people had been extremely slow going at first (though the language barrier played a big role in that). But once he was in with a group he was in. "Yeah and since its alos combined with serious stubbornness, I know that very well." Elliott rolled his eyes, he was enjoying the banter, but it was beginning to feel like he was being constantly ragged at ever since he left the prison building. "You do know that description applies to you too."

"You do know that that same description could be used to describe you Jay?"
"He has a point, but either way, you're both idiots." Rinaa gave her comment with a half-smirk, half-smile. She'd been watching the banter between the two of them with an amused expression on her face, this was all fascinatingly new to her. "Wow thanks for the glowing endorsement of support." Jay would have added 'kiddo' to the end of the sentence, but given that Rinaa was technically and adult making the age gap between her and Jay even smaller, it just didn't feel right. Rinaa went to say something when her phone went off. Since all the extended family were here, it could really only be one of two people. She looked at the text, Jay and Elliott both being nosy and peering her shoulder.

Hey, just wondering if you've finished the bike yet?
-M
Rinaa smiled at the text, a small smile, but genuine one and typed out her response.
Yep, I did, I was interrupted during the paint job, but it turned out just fine in the end. Want to come and see it?
-A

Fia knew if wasn't true what she said, she literally said it to be that annoying little sister and no other reason. She loved Elliott dearly and did think he was quick learner deep down. Hell, it was Elliott that taught her parkour. She nodded and chuckled at Jay adding to the jabs, mentioning his stubbornness. She saw how Elliott was reacting and she decided to give him a bit of a break. "We rag on you because we care, I know you're a fast learner deep down." Fia smiled. When Rinaa joined in to defend Elliott she had to actually chuckle at it, as she defended Elliott by making a jab at Jay in the process. "I think stubbornness runs in the family, direct or extended. We're all stubborn, I know I am" Fia added.

Kay watched if all unfold and if was honestly nice for her to see everyone getting on properly and no one getting upset by something another has said. Even if it was down to picking on Elliott for the amusement. She also just likes seeing Fia come back to her usual self again, as when she walked out earlier she was worried when she wasn't coming back. Seeing the two peer over Rinaa's shoulder to read her text she rolled her eyes but smirked. "You two are incredibly nosey sometimes" she remarked, chuckling as she rested her head against John's shoulder.

Elliott knew they didn't mean any harm in their jabs, but he was still a bit all over the place. "Yeah, I know and stubbornness is most definitely the most common trait in this group." He couldn't think of a single one of them who wants stubborn. He knew Cal was and from the little he'd seen of Cliff she was utterly immovable on some things. They were an excellent match. "Well one has to be stubborn when they've known this guy" Chas gestured at John "as long as I have." "You can't use that card mate, you were bloody stubborn before I came along." John retorted. "Sure, sure. It's not like every four year old ever is a stubborn little shit when it comes to certain things."

Rinaa didn't mind Elliott and Jay looking over her shoulder. Jay had a habit of doing it in her timeline and she'd never had an Elliott to do such a thing. And it wasn't anything she was trying to keep a massive secret either. "So?" "And the problem with that is what exactly?" The two responded in sync. Cal chuckled in amusement, the bond between Jay and her brother was very clear. "Hot date or what?" Cliff asked, guessing by Rinaa's reaction that it wasn't Deke texting her, which only left the girl she'd a met a while ago. "Something like that yeah." Her smile grew at the next text.
Most definitely. Your place or mine?
-M
Elliott read the text and raised an eyebrow slightly. "It definitely is Cliff"

As quickly as Fia started the jabs at Elliott, her remark turned it into all of them. She nodded, agreeing that they all were most definitely were stubborn. She knew both her parents were for sure, and the future Elliott she knew was aswell, which in turn made her learn that Cal and Cliff also were on the odd times they visited. She laughed at Chas' comeback at John trying to deflect the excuse of why Chas was stubborn.

Kay just rolled her eyes at both Jay and Elliott not seeing anything wrong with snooping on their daughter's texts. The fact they said it at the same time, did make Kay smirk as it showed close they were. Yet contrary to belief, Kay didn't see anything that wrong with it. It wasn't her thing but it was obvious that Rinaa didn't mind it happening. When the smile grew on Rinaa, and Elliott confirmed it was a date, Fia smirked, "that girl from the bike shop by any chance?" Fia guessed. She was glad that Rinaa did actually make contact with her and seemingly stayed in contact.

A smirk spread over John's face at their synchronised answers. It was clear that when it came to this they were on exactly the same wavelength. Rinaa didn't seem to mind, but John suspected that was due to Elliott's presence. She'd never grown up with him interfering in her dating life, and John suspected that Rinaa was quite enjoying that. If John had to make a guess on how Elliott would be as a parent with regards to his daughter dating he suspected Elliott would be pretty chill about it and willing to let her make her own mistakes, but support her when needed. John also knew that both Rinaa and Jay would be completly fine with Rinaa being bisexual, as they were both bi themselves.

At Fia's question Rinaa had to refrain from both rolling her eyes and dramatically reddening (she suceeded at both). "Yes exactly, the hot winged girl from the bike shop." She hadn't mentioned Moya around anybody since, but the two had stayed in touch, and once she found out that Rinaa was building a motorbike from scratch she'd blagged her way into Deke's lab to watch. Rinaa often adopted a policy of 'if nobody asks anything related to that, I won't bring it up myself'. Nobody had asked if she'd had company, and Rinaa was perfectly happy to let people have their assumptions. "I said I'd show her the finished bike, so that's what I'm going to do." She pulled herself out of the beanbag chair and began pulling on shoes.

Seeing how Elliott was with Rinaa about dating, it did make her wonder how John would be if Fia ever started dating. Would he be different because of the risks involved seeing outside people? Or would he be chill about it like Elliott was with Rinaa? She really couldn't say either way, which was a rare thing as most time she could guess which way in opinions John would lay, but with this, she couldn't guess at all. She couldn't even guess what way she would lean on the subject matter, let alone John. She'd like to think she would be pretty relaxed on it, but knowing just how much of the world would be after her, she couldn't say for certain if she would be okay with it. She'd be protective for certain either way.

Fia smiled, actually feeling happy for her as she remembered encouraging Rinaa to actually go for it at the time. "Go for it! Glad you've been keeping in touch. She seems like a cool girl!" Fia replied, noticing how Rinaa wasn't wasting time to go see Moya. Kay noticed how nice Fia was being to Rinaa over it and she was actually feeling a sense pride for her kid, and thought if she could get friends, she'd be incredibly loyal to them and good to be around. She knew that when the time came round, she had to do better by Fia and let her get out and make friends, even if it would make her incredibly nervous and on edge having her kid out on her own. Though she did have to remember Fia no doubt had every bit of protection on her, when she did go out, whether it be by runes or objects.

John couldn't say how he'd be with regards to Fia dating. With Elliott it had been along the lines of letting him make his own mistakes and learn from it. He and Chas had suspected he wasn't straight for a good few years before Elliott came out. Elliott's dating life was something John agreed to keep firmly out of, just as Elliott kept out of his (admittedly disaterous) dating life (which was really just hook ups and one night stands). Fia would probably be different, though he had a feeling it would be Kay's call on that more than his. When Rinaa said she was going to show her friend..... girlfriend..... whatever she was..... the bike, John had to smirk at how Rinaa always managed to have a way to get out of family gatherings, even if this time it was unintentional.

"Yeah well, she's awesome so keeping in touch was one of those decisions that was made long before you actually think about deciding, if you know what I mean." "Yeah, I get you on that, been there, done that." Cliff smirked, tossing the spare keys at Rinaa, who caught them easily. "Try and be back before we leave tomorrow morning yeah? Stealing one ship from the League is fine, but stealing one from this base....probabaly not the best idea." Jay told her, knowing that Rinaa knew anyway, but it was worth making a public point on this. "Got it, I probabaly won't be out all night, but hey, the midnight bike racing scene is great here." "Don't get caught then." "I won't."

Kay would want most things to do with Fia be a joint decision with John. She had heard from two different timelines now how she changed, granted she changed more in one compared to the other, but she really didn't want to be that over protective difficult to deal with parent. If that meant she made John or anyone else to call her out if she became like that, then so be it. She also noted how Rinaa was away from the group more than she was with them, even if this was unintentional, it was noticeable. Kay knew what Rinaa meant, even if Fia didn't.

Fia smirked at the talk of telling Rinaa to be back before tomorrow morning, the idea of nighttime bike racing did sound right up her alley but this wasn't a time to intervene, she'd probably just either sit in her temporary room when everyone was done interacting with each other or she'd cheekily go up to the roof for a bit. She also wanted to spend time with her family selfishly without Rinaa around, even though she had no problems with her.
