in the woods

"You're going the right way." I said as I walked out into the cool night air. I looked around cautiously before I walked east, checking behind me ever so often to make sure the girl was still there. "By the way, I didn't catch your name."
 
"Name's Lisa, Lisa Damer." She stated "I come from a family of assassins in a village near here, but like I said my client double-crossed me and I had to run for my life. Normally I could have run the distance but he poisoned my drink before I was on to him. It was an exotic poison so I wasn't immune to it." She said finishing her story "That's about all I'm saying for now. So how about you? How did you become a thief?" she asked
 
Don't tell her! "Well, when I was younger, my parents and I lived in a small village and my mother was watching over a moonstone. These people came one day when I was 7 and killed my parents. They took the stone but they couldn't find me. I ran and became a theif and a Rogue to survive and retrieve the stone. I need to find someone and give it to them. The stone is very precious. I can't let them get it back." I kept looking around to make sure that we weren't being watched. " I don't know where the person I need to give the stone to is though." I sighed.
 
"Wow, My parents where hung under assassination charges......But I've gotten over that." Lisa said with a smile "All that's really on my mind now is helping you find this stone of yours."
 
"All I know is it is in one of the nearby towns. The people we killed thought I still had it. After we find it, I have to give it to a specific person." This will take awhile, I wondered if she would leave after we find the stone. Probably.
 
" Yep. This is the first town we have to go through. The stone is in the possession of another thief, who stole it from me after I stole it from our pursuers. He resides in either this town or the next one. Not sure which though. We have until Dawn to find him and take the stone if he is here." I said.
 
"I kind of feel like we could be an unstoppable team you know, Like and Assassin and a thief! How cool is that." Lisa said with a carefree look on her face. Suddenly her face grew sullen and she stopped in her tracks. "Shhhhh, Someone's following us." She whispered to Naya. I can feel the vibration of their footsteps. Lisa telepathically to her.
 
I listened quietly and I heard very faint footsteps headed our way. Lisa was right, damn it. I thought. How did we not notice before now?
 
"Let's rest here for a bit Naya!" Lisa said rather loudly. They'll come out if they think we've relaxed our guard.
 
I sat down and leaned against a tree. Although no one would see it, I had my hand on my dagger, ready to kill someone if necessary. How long have they been following us? Do you know, Lisa?
 
since we left that makeshift house of yours Lisa looked at Naya and slightly nodded at the tree above her. Signaling that someone was above them.
 
It took all of my will power not to look up. I gripped my dagger harder. Are you sure? I didn't like this situation at all. Are they alone?
 
Just asking. I try to stay calm as I hear a very faint rustling above me. Naya, you should get out if here...


Shut it. I told the voice. I bit my lip, wondering what our followers plans were.
 
Lisa smirked as two people dropped down from above them. One in front of each girl. The one in front of Lisa immediately lunged for her with a sword. Lisa caught the swords blade seconds before it was going to penetrate her. She flicked her wrist and broke the entire blade. The man looked at her with fear in his eyes. Lisa looked him in the eyes and he turned to run but before he could get very far she ran past him. He stood dumbfounded, because in front of him stood Lisa with his heart literally in her hand. Her smile grew into a sadistic one "Lets play~" she said moments before the man dropped dead.
 
A man dropped down in front of me and one in front of Lisa. While Lisa took care of her attacker, I dealt with mine. The man lunged at me with an iron sword. I cursed knowing that if it touched me I would be paralyzed. I pulled out my sword just in time, dropping my dagger in the process. The man seemed surprised but kept me on my guard. He swung his sword around, sometimes nearly cutting me. I was panicking in my head. He's fast! I did my best to switch to offense but, he kept advancing. I was beginning to lose this fight.
 
I couldn't focus on anything anymore. It was just luck that I was still alive. My body was on autopilot and even the voice was disoriented. I began to feel numb. I looked at the man, at that moment, I realized that I knew him. This caused me to falter and he stabbed me through the stomach. I began to feel dizzy and I didn't even feel the pain as I fell. Unable to move. My vision blurred and I was engulfed by blackness.
 
"Lets play~" Lisa said in a sadistic manner as she approached the guy who stabbed Naya. "What are you going-" The man was stopped when his heart was also ripped out by Lisa. "That." Lisa said answering the mans unfinished question. "Childs play." Lisa mocked before placing the heart in the dead mans hand. She wiped her bloody hand on her cloak and went over to Naya. Lisa sighed "I guess it's up to me to get us to that village eh?"
 
"Hmm. That girl, Lisa is a good fighter." Nero said as he watched the fight. Naya seemed to be losing hers, relying only on her weapons. Well, he is one of his kind who can confuse people to the point of madness. He thought. He watched as Naya faltered and was stabbed through as a result. She won't die from that but she won't be moving either. She will be paralyzed for a few hours. Nero watched Lisa to see what she would do with Naya unconscious.
 
Lisa sighed and grabbed Both her and Naya's stuff. She managed to get Nayas arm around her shoulders and she began walking towards the city. "Damn!" Lisa said "Could you be any heavier Naya." She said. She basically complained the rest of the way into the town and when she finally got a room at an inn she put Naya down on a bed and sat at a table nearby, panting.
