Realistic or Modern Imperfects

"I've been here since I was fourteen." Pinuh said. "They found me after my mother was killed, if they hadn't, I don't know how I would have survived." Pinuh's eyes softened. She was so grateful for Analice accepting her here and giving her a place to live and work.

"Yes, doctor." Jess unstrspped Angel, lifting her up and supporting her weight as she limped out the cell. Rix followed at a safe distance until the doors were shut. Jess shushed the crying girl. "It's ok. It's ok. You're alright.." Jess looked at rix and he flew up to Angel's shoulder and touched his nose to her ear, draining away all the pain. He purred in her ear and curled up on her shoulder, licking it comfortingly.

"I see... So I take it they, are the people that run this place?" Quinten was shifting on the bed getting comfortable, thinking after their chat he would go to his office and get everybody's health records in order.

Blade didn't know the details of the testing. She didn't want to know. All she needed to know was the fact that it drove her daughter insane and it would do the same to these subjects. If only there was some way to help them! But she couldn't... Shadow had a small microchip imbedded in her neck. If activated, it would send an electric shock straight to her brain... killing her instantly. And while Blade hated to see her daughter this way, at least she was alive. And while she was, she didn't dare help the subjects escape. Or else her poor Kira might end up paying for it...

(Kira is Shadow's real name in case I didn't mention that before.)

(Okay! Cool name!)

Pinuh shuffled uncomfortably. "Yes. Analice is the head, the boss, C.E.O, whichever you prefer. She controls everything around here. Compared to her, you and I are pretty low-ranking."

Listening very closely he speaks after she is done explaining. "She doesn't seem too bad for a boss if I'd say" he laughs a little at his own dry joke before standing up. "So my office is just down this hall?" he was Asking once more since he was unfamiliar with the confusing lay out of the place.

"Yeah, she's amazing!" Pinuh said, smiling. "And yes, your office is right down the hall. You'll learn to the layout in time, it just takes a bit of getting used it."

"thanks," he says as his legs lead him out of the room past Pinuh, excusing himself as he passes her. "I wouldn't want to keep you much longer in case you have something to do" Now out of the room he was searching for his office she had pointed out earlier and spies a relatively empty room with no name nag on the outside of it, making him think that this was the one.

He kept on pretending to play dead, until he heard the girl. It was too stiff and performed, the way she said it. This could be a trap, but also his only chance of escaping this hell hole. He stood up and got out of the cell, really happy that he got out of the cell. He had no idea where to go, but going away from the screaming was a good choice. He chose that direction and ran.

*This is it I suppose, my work space for the next couple of years..* Taking in the mundane looking office space he walks around his new desk and sits in the rolling chair that was behind it, getting a feel for it imagining himself going through paper work and patching up any minor wounds or if a freak accident happens he would be prepared to save their lives.

Angelma have been able to limp her way out of eroom bshe hd three broken ribs witch made it hard to breathe. The little lizard that hopped on her shoulder was sweet to help her feel better but with the numbing agent in her neck she could not voice a thank you even as the little creature nuzzled and settled on her shoulder but it made her smile a little. She wondered why this scientist was being so nice. She didn't seem like the others.

As Jess helped Angel to her cell, she pulled out a Syringe with a small green dose of something. "Rix, I need you." The baby dragon Chirped and jumped on his mistress's hand, touching his nose to the needle, making it warm and numb. "This may hurt, Angel. I'm sorry." She injected the syringe into Angel's neck, gently pushing the injector down so the grren liquid went into her neck. "That should get rid of the numbing agent after a while." Rix jumped back on the winged girl's shoulder, purring and nuzzling her to take away the pain again. It was almost as if he were talking when he uttered a little growl. It sounded like "I love you" in a way. Jess helped the girl back to her cell and set her gently on the bed. "There you go, sweetheart." She winked "thanks for not hypnotising me. I hope you can learn to trust me in the future." She turned and walked out, closing the cell door. "I'll call the Medic to come down and fix those ribs, ok?" With that, Jess left the room. Rix stayed with the girl while Jess went to find Quinten. She went down to the office section. "Doctor Quinten?"

Angel's eyes kept shedding more tears as she was helped. She wanted to yelp when the needle went in but she felt the numbness fade away but she didn't trust her voice to not use its new power so she just stayed silent. She let the little dragon nuzzle her and ease her pain. She winced and whimpered as she was let to lay down to rest gently. When she and Rix were left alone she gently pet the little dragon's head as a thank you but she could barely do that. Angel couldn't help but wonder what was in that solution that Analice put into her before she left the testing room.

While adjusting small things on his desk in a bored fashion he was startled at first when a voice had called out to him, it was jess, the person he had seen earlier with that weird creature. "uh, yes is there something I can help you with?"

"There's a patient by the name of Angel, and she's broken a few ribs. Are you avaliable to go help her?"

(Angel got tortured, sebastian is escaping, and Jess is talkin to the doc about getting angel's ribs fixed up.)

Pinuh started to walk, and saw someone down the hall. "What th-" She didn't finish the sentence, as the person ran straight into her, knocking her to the ground. Her glasses broke, the broken glass cutting eyes and face. "Ow...." The world around her blurred, and blood trickled down the sides of her face and into her eyes. Tears welled up in Pinuh's eyes, she could barely see anything and her face hurt so bad.

Shadow growled and Blade was instantly on alert. The wolf had heard something, something that wasn't supposed to be there. "Show me." She commanded softly and the wolf obediently led the way, not pausing as she went from hallway to hallway. Eventually they came across Pinuh, laying on the ground with her glasses broken and blood streaming from her face. Kneeling down by her, Blade gently helped her stand. "I'll take you to the new doctor, he'll know what to do." She assured the young girl softly even as she gave Shadow a nod. The great black wolf set off down the hallway, tracing the scent of the person who had bumped into Pinuh, even as Blade led her through the hallways towards the doctor's office.

"Someone ran into me!" Pinuh said, sounding terrified. "I think it was an experiment escaping! What's happening?! I can't see anything!" The girl whimpered, holding tightly onto Blade. She seemed more like a child than a scientist, blood and tears flowing down to her neck, staining her scarf and sweater. Without her glasses, she couldn't see, not to mention the glass fragments and blood in her eyes were not helping one bit.

"I sent Shadow after whoever it was. They won't get very far with her chasing him." Blade reassured Pinuh, an almost maternal feeling raising up in her as she stared at the young girl, crying and bleeding. Then she remembered that this girl looked up to Analice as a mother and her mood soured. "Don't worry about the experiment or whoever it was, let's just get you healed." She said, trying not to let her mood enter her tone of voice. She didn't want to scare the girl like she scared everyone else.

"Don't you think Analice is going to be mad at me for letting them escape?" Pinuh asked, her voice shaking. "I didn't mean to, I'm sorry!" The girl was terrified of what her boss would do if she found out. Would she fire her, send her back to her city? Pinuh cried harder. She didn't want to go back to the hell she had lived in before! How would she survive?! Panic filled her mind, clouding her thoughts.

"No, don't worry. Analice won't get mad. Shadow will catch the experiment. Nothing will happen." Blade comforted the girl, hating to say that name but unable to resist easing the girl's panic. "Just take deep breaths. In through your nose and out through your mouth. The cuts aren't serious, you should be fine very soon." She reassured her even as they continued to walk towards the doctor's office.

Pinuh followed Blade's advice, breathing in and out, at first quickly, but slowly as she started to calm down. Blood dripped to the floor, leaving a red trail behind them. Pinuh pushed away the fears of Analice's rage and disappointment, and the lingering fear of becoming blind, and tried to replace it with optimism. Of course her eyes were going to get better. Analice wouldn't be disappointed in her. The test subject would be caught. Right? Why was she even worrying?
