Elprede watched with some amount of interest at Era's display of a new skill, one which he had not previously seen before. He did enjoy seeing new techniques being employed against him, it made it much more interesting when he had to battle. The different forms Ki could produce were interesting to say the least, however, this one he knew about still. He had never seen it actually used in battle before, but he could still recognize it for what it was. Despite everything, Elprede was very well learned.

I cannot see you, but I still know where you hide. He thought. On his thought of command, bouncing energy waves were released from him. They were invisible and could not be felt except by those who knew the technique as well--they acted as echo location that is used by some creatures of the universe. He could not specifically hear either of them, but when the wave of energy hit them and bounced back at him, he would know where they were both at. Jasmine also released her own bouncing signals, relaying the data of the field to Elprede as each wave came back within the second they had been released.

Such techniques were not infallible. One could still move faster than he could properly react to the signals and energy waves. That came with part two.

Elprede easily side-stepped Valkyrie's attack but did not strike back against her. He kept his focus despite all the happenings that was going on in the battlefield, expanding his senses. He could feel the flow of movement around him, the natural kinetic energy that was being thrown about, the way and shape of the creatures that created it. He harnessed it, using his Ki to control and manipulate these forces. Era and Valkyrie would find it much harder to move, or found themselves moving faster than they ought to be. He kept disappearing and reappearing in different places of the arena, away from Valkyrie to disallow her from trying to distract him.

He tapped Valkyrie's shoulder when she kicked behind her, transforming the energy she produced into a force, throwing it into her stomach to knock her away before disappearing once more somewhere. Even in the midst of chaos, his speed was hardly hindered. He was on the hunt for Era. When one of his pulses bounced off her body, he appeared there and unleashed a large explosive blast. It was not meant to hurt, instead, designed to find out whether she was still there or not. If she was, it would knock her away and he would know. If not, he'd move once more to a new location far from where he was before, waiting for his opportunity.

Elprede's new reaction to the power Era used was rather surprising. Elprede seemingly had an infinite knowledge of Ki and how it worked. Given that he was a Nephelem, it shouldn't be surprising that he was well learned. But this well learned to be completely unfazed by her technique and already have a way to try and beat it? That was surprising.

Valkyrie was as well surprised to find that the energy used for her reactive kick was somewhat transferred into her stomach as if she'd kicked herself. She gathered herself a moment later and growled up at Elprede before powering up again and preparing a charged Ki blast.

Either way, Era was unhindered in her advance. Every time a Ki wave came close she avoided it by a hair's breadth inching her way closer to him. However, one ball did strike her, and Elprede was on her in a second. However that second was all she needed.

His Ki blast hit nothing, and Era found herself on his left side with his arm still outstretched and his Ki still being discharged. She had avoided his blast by bending out of its path and twisting about like a dancer to prepare a new strike to the side of his neck. It was not a pressure point and so would do just enough to faze him and perhaps give her an opening to a new strike afterwards. Since he was still releasing his Ki blast, whatever he did next would have to cut the attack short.

Valkyrie's blast was also released at Elprede in that same moment. Now Elprede faced a dilemma. He was either going to be struck by the Ki blast, struck by Era's attack to the neck, or be forced to dodge both and reset the playing field. Either way, Era and Valkyrie had forced his hand for the first time in the fight and his next reaction would not come from his own free will. It would come from necessity. He could not afford, even with his increased power, to take Era nor Valkyrie's attacks head on.

@Deathrattle BB

Elprede was fairly prepared for having his attack somehow be countered. He knew exactly what Era was, he had some one like her before; prodigies were not to be taken lightly. However... prodigious talent paled in comparison to raw experience. You never went alone into battle and you never went into an attack without a plan of action to get back out of it. Those were the rules of staying alive; you fail the rules, you fail the game. You die. The End.

Elprede had once, in a time long past, failed to acknowledge these rules. He had overestimated himself, battled an opponent too powerful for him. His immortality may have saved his life in that time, but he could not afford now to let this new host fail. He had finally found the perfect one, one with the potential to bring himself back together. One to make him whole once more. The saying went that if you died in the same place twice, you disappeared forever.

He could not allow that to come to pass.

He resorted to the use of a technique that had been lost ages ago. He ionized his Ki, the aura around him turning to the same negative charge as Era. What occurred would have been a beautiful work of the natural forces of the world as she was suddenly magnetically propelled away from him. He wrapped his aura about himself, but instead of trying to block damage like the Ki Gradient, it simply absorbed the impact of Valkyrie's blast and danced it around his body. The Ki melted away against his body, transforming and being stored in him as energy.

When Elprede stood up straight once more, he appeared slightly different. His eyes were a deeper shade of blue and electricity sparked along his skin. blue tiger markings appeared along the silver on his body everywhere. The pure consciousness of the First God was settled onto this single entity, the Nephelem before them, a silver fox. In that moment, time would've seemed to slow down for Era and Valkyrie. The presence coming from Elprede has grown stronger, deafening to the senses almost. His Ki was undetectable for that brief moment, not because of any technique, but because it was beyond their ability to sense.

Elprede lowered to the ground and crouched there, his eyes wolfish, peering at them with interest. "It has been some time since I've been caught in a trap. However, I will not make the same mistake three times." Eons of experience in battle made him into a honed killing machine. However, the burden of a God's consciousness being in a mortal was taking a toll on Elprede's body. It could not handle such energy. He was going to fade fast before long.

"You have passed the test. Speak The Word, and you may enter. Simply ask Elprede when he comes to once more." The entity possessing Elprede pointed to the gate. "Go. May you find what you seek. When next we meet, we will hopefully be on the same side, Super Saiyans."

Suddenly, time seemed to be released from the grasp of whatever had just left Elprede. His eyes suddenly darkened out into a deep, dull blue. The blue tiger markings disappeared. Elprede gasped, holding himself as he tumbled onto the floor in a fetal position, eyes wide and taking in deep gulps of air, shivering uncontrollably. He felt weak, completely drained.

@ChoShadow

Era was caught in time. For a brief instant, it seemed as if the world stood still. Her attack was nanometers from striking Elprede's body when suddenly his body was enveloped in the same negative Ki she'd used. The two like-magnetic forces coalesced around his body and propelled her back and away from him and destroyed Valkyrie's energy wave in a brilliant display of Ki destruction and absorption.

Era hit the wall and her negative Ki mask evaporated.

It was time to reap what she'd sewn.

Negative energy was not meant to be harnessed by mortals, and thus Era's body began responding to its effects. Her skin darkened in coloration and her irises turned black. Her hair went from a deep violet to a shade of charcoal gray, and her power level took a nose dive. Era collapsed to the ground, drained of all vitality. Her power was as close to zero as it was capable of going, and it would be a few minutes before her body managed to overcome this side effect of having used negative energy when it wasn't supposed to.

Valkyrie walked over to Era, keeping her eyes on Elprede the whole time wondering what in the name of all things holy just happened. She leaned down to help Era stand with an arm around Val's shoulder.

"This is why it's called conventional wisdom, Era. You should have known something with a name like "negative energy" wasn't something to be trifled with and that the repercussions of having used it for as long as you did in that fight would be catastrophic. I'm surprised you're still alive." Valkyrie chided.

Era was near unconsciousness, but just conscious enough to smile weakly as she hung limply from Valkyrie's shoulder.

Val walked over to Elprede and eyed him in his fetal position.

"... What a pitiful state this vessel is in." She said quietly.

"So it seems we didn't even fight the Elprede we know. We fought his former self. The true First God... Now get up Elprede. You've some explaining to do." She demanded.

Elprede picked himself up off the ground after a minute, kneeling and holding his head. The world was spinning, reality seemed like it was distorted and loopy. Was this what it felt like to host the divine spirit of a God, for a mortal to have been so closely intertwined with one? The strength he had felt when the First God had taken control for the first time ever... there were no words to describe it. The feeling was being complete was the only way he could even put it into words. As if he had found the missing piece of himself that he had been looking for.

His eyes lidded and he looked up at Valkyrie. "It is exactly what we told you, Valkyrie," he said hoarsely. "I am the First God. And the First God is me. We are one and the same, I'm simply a small part of that greater whole. Can I really be called anything if I'm not actually anything but him?" He paused. "A whole... I felt so whole. Now I feel... empty."

"Sir, are you alright?" Jasmine asked. She had been totally overloaded by the presence of the First God, only now coming back to consciousness as Elprede was released from the control of the god.

... "No, Jasmine. I'm not alright." He stated, getting to his feet slowly and brushing off his clothes.

He turned and started walking towards the large golden gate. "Come on. What you seek is beyond that gate. It is rumored to give you want you need, and then something you want." He sighed. "I have been here before, when I was little. I was given truth, and then I was given memory. Memories of the Elprede's before me, memories from the First God himself..." he looked over his shoulder at Valkyrie and Niir'lana. "I can't imagine what you will gain from entering it."

He looked at the gate and spoke. The Word rolled off his tongue soundlessly, however, it formed words that couldn't be heard. It was felt--the fabric of reality around them seeming to unravel and change, distorting in response to The Word. None knew what it was, not even the First God; simply that all Gods knew how to speak it. Perhaps that was what truly gave them their status as a God, doing what mortals couldn't even dream of. It was beyond the understanding of God and Mortal.

The gate's lock disappeared, opening up to a black void. "Go." He said. "Behold what it has to give."

@ChoShadow ((The Vault will remove their Genetic Limiter, and then you can choose whatever else they may or may not gain from it. Sometimes you want nothing at all.))

Valkyrie was still confused. How could Elprede actually be the First God? A piece of the First God? It just didn't make sense to her. All her life things were black and white with no gray area for questions to be asked. Now this... Whatever.

Era was beginning to come back to her old self again as well, the natural color of her skin and hair slowly returning as her body regained some of the Ki it so desperately needed for her to walk on her own two feet again, albeit shakily. Valkyrie continued to support her as she walked with Era into the Vault.

The moment they stepped into the void, everything went quiet.

The world was dark. There was no door behind them nor portal to return. Just... emptiness.

"This is a vault where we will gain the knowledge we seek?" Valkyrie asked somewhat mockingly.

Era coughed, chuckling a bit afterwards.

"You really have no respect for what you don't understand, do you Val?" Era asked.

Valkyrie made a "tch" sound, but no sooner had she done so than a golden light began to come from behind them. When the two women turned around, they beheld a faceless Saiyan with golden energy shining behind him. His hair was spiked like that of a flame, his body well built and lean. His tail lay wrapped around his waist, and his uniform was of an ancient and outdated design.

Was this the original Super Saiyan?

"... Who are you?" Valkyrie asked.

The Saiyan didn't respond.

Instead, he simply opened the palm of his right hand and revealed a small amount of glowing golden energy within.

After that, he disposed of the energy and then pointed behind them. The two women turned around, and they beheld a figure familiar to both of them. A tall, well built male Saiyan with hair brushing his shoulders and spiked out around the back. He had stern features, but seemed warm and inviting as a person. Whatever natural intimidation he held to look at was diffused by this gentle light.

"Father?" They asked aloud as one.

Both Era and Valkyrie turned to one another in shock.

"Era... You didn't just say-"

""Father." Yes. That is my father." She replied.

"Impossible... That Saiyan is my father. I know his face all too well despite the fact that he left when I was but a child." She barked.

Era was unmoved.

"I know the face of the man who raised and trained me, Valkyrie. This is the father I grew up with, and who has lived in my home for as long as I have can remember." Era responded.

Valkyrie was speechless.

The two women looked again and saw two distinct images. One was of him holding a female infant with a few crimson strands of hair. Valkyrie. The other was of him holding a child of violet hair. Era. Both images merged into one and it showed them a vision of their respective mothers standing to either side of him. Instinctively, they knew without being told a single word what had happened. Their father had sired two children, and during Valkyrie's younger days he was with her to watch over her well being before giving her up to the family she knew today. After that, he lived permanently with Era and her mother, never marrying either one.

They looked to each other once more, Valkyrie in shocked silence and Era in quiet reverence.

"So we-... Are sisters?" Era asked.

Valkyrie looked horrified and could not reply.

"Valkyrie?" Era asked.

Valkyrie's mouth curled in a frown.

"UsSisters?... Never. I refuse to acknowledge you as a sister to me. I am a Saiyan Elite, and you are a Low Class warrior. You may be a prodigy, but you are no sister of mine!" She replied angrily.

Era was stunned.

All these years knowing each other. All these years fighting beside one another. All these years of friendship and camaraderie... It meant nothing? Era was still but a comrade? A lowly soldier? Why would Valkyrie so willingly reject Era as a sister? They even looked alike enough for others to mistake them as siblings were it not for the hair color and social status difference.

Era was disheartened by this. She was willing and open to accepting Valkyrie as her sister. So why wouldn't Valkyrie?

Their gift was not yet done. The two women were suddenly engulfed in red light. Their bodies felt like they were on fire and they shrieked in agony as something happened to them. Their bodies began to feel lighter. Their Ki began rising. And if felt like the world was crashing down on them all at the same time. When the light finally vanished in an instant, they fell to the "ground" in this void and breathed heavily shaking off the pain they just felt.

As they stood up, they looked to their bodies.

"Do you feel...?" Valkyrie asked.

"Stronger. Yes. Stronger than ever... Or at least it feels like I will be. What happened?" Era asked.

"I don't know, but I like this feeling. It feels like we have attained infinite potential, as if a weight from within has been lifted at long last... I feel free." Valkyrie said calmly.

With that, the world turned to white and they shielded their eyes. When they opened them, they looked around and found themselves back in the room standing next to Elprede. They exchanged a glance, and it seemed that Valkyrie suddenly recalled the horrifying realization that Era was her half sister, though she still refused to accept such an idea.

Currently on the misadventures of Pyro

The ship Vortex was traveling in space with no said direction except finding a planet to get rid of the stowways on. Eberything was calm other wise, except for the gravity chammber were Pyro was working hard.

The room was set to 50x normal (earth) gravity and the holograms were set to fight at the same power level as Pyro. How the hell the did that sayain get more powerful them my base form... Well he's probly dead knowing those warships... But then those dirty monkeys are even more bloody stronger... Well atleast their only kill people I don't like anyways... Like hopfully those two sayains who made fun of my tournament... Pyro thought before his stomach growled. "I geuss It's a good as any time to get some food... But first, co.puter whats my current power level at" Pyro said as the holograms stopped attacking

"Currently power level at 74,800" a computery voice stated from one of the walls.

"Well that's a good start as any." Pyrp said smirking before leaving tje chammner and headed to het some food... A lot of food...

Elprede watched the two Saiyan women enter the vault with a bit of superstitious worry. Who knew what they were going to find within that place, somewhere not even the Gods went to anymore? That then begged the question, though; why did they stay away from this place, were they afraid of the raging forces of the Super Saiyan and First God still? He supposed time did not alleviate the fears of those who are immortal, or at the very least, lived a very long time.

He sat down to ponder his thoughts for a while, letting them wander to different solutions and conclusions of their own. Maybe they were not afraid of the First God anymore, but instead, they were afraid of the Nephelem race now? They acted as the guardians to the greatest source of the First God's energy now--his energy. He could feel it in the air, humming in his ears just as well as his own. There were too many questions and not enough answers.

I suppose only one really matters. He thought. Why was I chosen? Did he choose me in purpose, or was it just a fluke of fate?

"I doubt it was, sir. I know you could hear the thoughts of him when he had control of you. We both know that you know why the First God chose you." Jasmine stated quietly. She waited for an answer, but when none came, she sighed. "He saw in you potential, remember? He saw within you himself. He saw strength enough to hold a Divine Spirit inside them."

Elprede laughed. What did any of that even mean? He supposed he would never really know.

The room was silent.

Elprede stood up wearily when Era and Valkyrie reappeared, giving them the best smile he could. "How was it? What did it give you?" He asked. He didn't mind if they did not answer him, but he felt it worthy to ask anyways.

@ChoShadow

Era and Valkyrie shared a glance. Era looked at Valkyrie with mild sadness while Valkyrie looked back at Era with mild scorn. Both their faces were mostly neutral, but those two emotions were nonetheless present and accounted for as Valkyrie looked away.

"We discovered something about our relationship that's hard for Valkyrie to accept." Era said.

Valkyrie scoffed.

"It's not difficult to accept. It's impossible." Valkyrie retorted.

Era sighed sadly.

"Other than that rather depressing detail, something happened to us in there after this revelation. Our bodies were overcome by searing pain and now we feel... I don't know how to describe it. Valkyrie used the word "free," and I have to agree. Nothing has ever felt so liberating before." She said, looking at her hands.

Valkyrie glanced to Era out of the corner of her eye and then glanced away again.

"I'd like to leave now." Valkyrie said solemnly.

@Deathrattle BB

Elprede looked between the two of them. Something that was hard to accept for Valkyrie... he had an idea of what that might be. Actually, he probably knew what it was, the answer just wasn't coming to mind right now. It happened occasionally.

Nevertheless, he was very interested in the second part of what had happened to them in the Vault. He knew exactly what had transpired--they were finally freed from their inhibitions from growing stronger. The Genetic Limiter in their DNA was gone, Saiyans, starting with them, could grow infinitely. Eventually, it would become a dominant trait among them all, assuming Valkyrie and Niir'lana lived long enough to reproduce. He assumed Saiyan biology preferred the best genetic traits over the worst ones. A question came to his mind, though.

"Do you feel stronger here?" He asked, sweeping an arm around the battlefield where gods fought. "You should. There are lingering forces here that strengthen us, make us much stronger than what we were previously. My own power level is four times stronger here than outside."

He picked up an old Scouter off the ground, brushing it off turning it on. The old piece of equipment readied itself without a hitch. He handed it to Valkyrie. "Here, use this; scan each other. I'm wondering if anything changed... Jasmine is a little too tired to just scan you herself currently. That's what happens when you host a God in your body, I guess. We can leave after."

@ChoShadow

Valkyrie took the old Scouter and put it down. She was still wearing her replacement Scouter which was top of the line for current Saiyan technology after all. The old ones were useless.

She looked at Era and scanned her power level. At first she was absolutely dumbfounded by what she saw on that piece of glass and thought for a moment it may be a malfunction. However, after taking a second to think about it... If a Nephelem's power was 4x what it used to be, then a Saiyan having an even greater boost was hardly a surprise.

Still...

"Power level 56,400. More than five times what you were before." She read aloud.

Era was astonished. She never dreamed her power level could go that high even if there was a Genetic Limiter. Apparently in this place, now that the GL was gone, her body was more receptive to this energy Elprede spoke of and had taken some of it as her own. It was amazing.

Era then scanned Valkyrie and her jaw hung open.

"Well?" Valkyrie asked impatiently.

"Power level... 264,000." Era said breathlessly.

Valkyrie stood dead still. Her face was still neutral, but inside her head was spinning. That was just over six times what her power was before they entered this place, and if that was just her current power level within this place, what could her power become outside when she had the time to train and grow even stronger? Without the GL, it seemed she truly was free to discover power previously unimaginable to the Saiyan Race. It brought a small smile to her lips.

"Even if it is only within this space, a power six times what I had before is nothing for me to take lightly. I shall begin my training immediately. I intend to grow even stronger now that I know my body is capable of reaching such heights." She stated excitedly.

Era was still in shock. All her life she'd been a Low Class Saiyan. Though her power for a Low Class was quite high, in fact it was in the top 2% for Low Class Saiyans, she was still Low Class and she knew her GL stopped her previously at 10,445. But now... What sort of a plateau would she reach? Would she ever reach a power she couldn't surpass with hard work and further training? The weight of the possibilities was astounding.

With their power levels within this space measured, the two women were ready to leave and so Valkyrie took the lead, feeling rather emboldened by her new power within that space, and walked them out. When they exited the space, Era's Scouter read Valkyrie's power dropping back down to around 42,600, her original level. However this time it stayed there. It seemed that the energy there also helped Valkyrie's body adjust to its current maximum whereas previously she could only access about half of it. But with training and battles to be fought ahead, Era knew they'd be seeing numbers like those they saw within that space again someday soon.

It was invigorating and somewhat frightening to know that they were capable of power like that.

@Deathrattle BB

Elprede nodded, smirking at their expressions when they read off the new power levels they had in this place. The energies kept here were totally unbothered by time, preserved for thousands of years. He was happy that they were actually being put to some use made him quite happy, and the fact that they had both achieved the impossible. Going beyond their limits, what their genetic code had written to be the pinnacle of their power. No longer were they being held back by such trivial means.

He followed them out of the subspace, walking back up into the throne room. He waited for everybody to file through. When everyone was back up on the surface once more, he kicked the platform and it slid back over the hidden stairway, once more hiding it for who knew how long. It wasn't needed any further, they had gotten what they had come for. The removal of Era's and Valkyrie's limitations, and the completion of Elprede's trial. He watched the spot where the stairs were for a while.

"... When you two become stronger, we'll have a real battle," he said over his shoulder, giving them a toothy grin. "One that will actually test your limits, including my own. I'm interested to see how much stronger you two will become, how much stronger I will become as well."

"As am I," Jasmine announced to everybody. "By the way... that fight in there was totally cool. Just Saiyan."

Elprede gasped. "Oh my Gods, JASMINE! That was terribly timed!"

Jasmine hummed innocently. "I didn't say anything. You're overreacting, sir."

Elprede growled, walking towards the massive front gates and throwing them open. "My ass, I'm not! You're not supposed to make jokes like that! I'm not dumb!"

"Says you. Did you not say that Valkyrie and Niir'lana were smarter than you a few hours back?" Jasmine pointed out cheekily.

"That's not fair!" Elprede protested.

They kept up like that for a while, Elprede giving Era and Valkyrie a hand signal to follow him. He leaped into the air and flew through the sky, dodging and weaving around the other Nephelem darting by, to and fro. He seemed to be greatly enjoying himself, despite circumstances. It had been a long time since he had just talked with her, which he took full advantage of, switching from topic to topic. He led them away to a truly royal looking building, with golden walls, silver and blue banners, fancily dressed Nephelem moving about the halls and many servants or caretakers tending to the place. It was huge, a massive dome sitting in the center with four massive buildings extending out from different angles in it, each one 90 degrees from each other.

Era and Valkyrie followed Elprede as he escorted them out and closed the Vault stairwell behind them. Then he started in with Jasmine, which brought an honest smile to both women's faces as they listened to the two bicker like a married couple. Then they flew away, and headed off towards a few buildings which looked more than anything like it was the true Palace of the King and Queen.

What awaited there? They didn't know. But they had a feeling they were in for more long winded conversation and discussion about what to do about this threat from the beings who possessed power levels entering the millions.

@Deathrattle BB @ChazGhost (On my next post I figure I'll do a time skip of about a month or two. That will give us a reason to have grown in power by quite a bit and start the next leg of the adventure. We need to finally group up with Pyro, and I have a feeling the best way to do that will be to have Era, Valkyrie, and Elprede land on the same planet Pyro while he's off doing whatever it is he as a space pirate wants to do. All of their methods of transportation will be destroyed and their communications cut off leaving them all stranded on that world.

One new enemy vessel will arrive with newly upgraded technology specifically engineered to protect it from Elprede's attacks out in space (Elprede's getting a bit OP even with the vacuum excuse, so from now on the enemy vessels will all share this upgrade making them all completely indestructible by anything other than vastly superior technology, of which there isn't any yet in existence. Even the tech on Zaero would fail to destroy them in time to prevent a takeover if they turned their sights to it). The ship will be manned by a few thousand enemies, all with power levels between 50-100,000. But the one in charge will have a power around 2.5 million which will force Pyro into his Final Form if he wants to defeat them and establish dominance.

It will give us a good way to finally group together for a big battle against an enemy who will pressure all of those involved and give us a reason to form a truce of sorts as well. The truce will be simply that our characters will fight together against these beings for mutual survival, and once they're all gone things will go back to normal. At least in theory. Of course we know OOC that everything will change before long.

So get one more post in each in preparation for this time skip and we'll kick things back into a higher gear on my next post.)

Elprede continued to argue with Jasmine, completely forgetting that Era and Valkyrie were even there anymore. He felt like he was back in his younger school days, arguing with Jasmine over every little detail that they did. If it didn't meet up to both of their ridiculous and sometimes retarded standards, it would not work for either of them. Coming to agreements was sometimes not an easy task between them, their personalities being radically different back then. It was when they both matured into adults that they truly began working as one.

He entered the relatively large building through the front doors. Nephelem clad in chain mail of some unknown stood at attention, performing the Nephelem salute to him. One arm was out in front of their chest, bent at the elbow to be perpendicular with their chest, while the other arm was behind their back, standing up straight and looking directly in front of them. They kept that position until Elprede, Era, and Valkyrie passed by, returning to a broad stance with both hands behind their backs.

Elprede was seemingly on autopilot and went down one of the hallways, leaving Era and Valkyrie behind. However, a voice giggled and Esperanza appeared next to them, staring at Elprede's back.

"Oh, people never really change, do they?" She sighed fondly. "He used to do that every day when we were little. I'd walk home with him and he would always be arguing with Jasmine about something. Sometimes it was serious matters, most of the time it had next to nothing to do with anything." She smirked and glanced up at them, eyes sparkling. It was totally obvious that she had a crush on the silver fox. "Come on, I'll show you two to your rooms. I took the liberty of clearing two out for you both."

She skipped away and headed down the opposite hallway from where Elprede went.

@ChoShadow (I didn't really think anything of destroying a few of their space ships. Sorry.)

Pyro was currently was eating dinner in the ships cafeteria, some king of baked space bird and wine. "Awww, I do so love this wine" Pyro said happily drinking his wine.

"Pyro your relaxing I see. So any ideas were we should head to next" a pirate asked walking into the cafeteria.

"Lets just keep heading the way we are going, we'll drop off the stowways and then I know a nice outlaw world were we can sell some of the things we got from our vacation." Pyro said before drinking some wine.

"Ohh that with hot babes... Sounds like a plan to me. I'll go tell man at the helm" the pirate smiked as walked off.

Pyro just grinned as he drank his wine. He knew it would take some time to get to the planet so he had time to finishing training...

@ChoShadow @Deathrattle BB

(So is Pyro ship going to get destroyed then? If so can most of his crew survive then?)

2 Months Later

Era and Valkyrie spent two solid months training intensely together and with Elprede. Thanks in part to their Saiyan blood, but mostly to the removal of their Genetic Limiter genes, the two women had grown tremendously. In fact one of them grew so quickly that it was theorized that her Saiyan blood, even though there was a limit before, remembered how many battles she'd seen and held onto a portion of the energy gained from each one and awakened it all in full upon the removal of her Genetic Limit.

Due to the intensity of her training, both solo and with Era and Elprede, Valkyrie's power had grown by just under a factor of six, reaching a total of 247,000. Not quite where she was while inside the ancient battleground, but very close and she was satisfied with it.

It was Era who had surprised everyone. Again the theory was that her body remembered and stored information about all of the battles she'd seen and all of the training she'd done during the time her body was limiting its own growth, and awakened or released it all during the last two months of training. It was like her body was playing catch-up with the power it should have had if the Limiter had never been there. Because of this, her new power had grown by just over twenty five times its original level, totaling now just over 265,000 which surpassed even that of Valkyrie by a small margin.

Valkyrie was still unaccepting of Era as her sister, and now she was even more cross. Era was a Low Class Saiyan, and she had surpassed a Saiyan Elite. She'd never been weaker than Era. Ever. Sure Era's prodigious talent saw her win several sparring matches, but Valkyrie was always more powerful. This was unacceptable.

At this time though she, Era, and Elprede had departed from Zaero and were now on their way to a backwater planet from which a deep-space relay station detected a distress signal. They didn't know exactly what was going on, but they knew answering the call would probably gain them an ally or two as well as a good payday. Era and Valkyrie were still Saiyans after all. They had to make a living.

However that didn't seem to amount to much...  Thanks to a single brave soul who'd managed to escape from Metahnn during the invasion, the two women had received word that Metahnn had fallen. The King was dead and the entire populace was now locked down on the planet and subjugated by the beings who had destroyed the tournament world and the Outpost planet. Apparently many Saiyans chose to die rather than bow to their new rulers, as it was estimated that nearly 15% of the Saiyan population had taken its own life.

Valkyrie and Era were both heavy hearted from hearing this news, but more determined than ever to continue training and growing stronger in order to finally achieve the power they needed to reclaim their home world and set their people free.

@ChazGhost (If you want them to survive, it'd be best if they were on the surface of the planet. If they're on the ship, they're dead)

@Deathrattle BB (It's okay. I neglected to clarify that because the ships are the size of small planets they are capable of housing several million inhabitants. If Elprede destroyed them by punching a few holes in them, then he just killed a few million people who were all grossly stronger than him and that lessens the impact of the enemy's intimidation factor and the meaning behind their vast numbers.)

In a bar on the ruffer end of backwater planet Pyro and most of his crew were partying like their was no tommrrow. Why were they partying? Well for two reasons, one they made a mint on the things they stole from the now destroyed world. Things from a destroyed civilization can go for a lot in the right places. Then two Pyro recently made it to power level of 100,000 in base form, a feat Pyro was very proud of.

Either way the booze kept flowing and the pirates sang, gamble, and fought eachother. Everyone was have a good time, including Pyro who drinking wine as usual. No one really knows how or were he got wine from sense the bar didn't serve wine but the bartender or amyone else wanted to ask. Besides the bar was ranking in a lot money from the party so missing a little from serving drinks to one guy wasn't so bad.

Meanwhile on the ship the ppirats who stayed behind were checking the systems and fixing problems the ship was having, nothing serious just a few hickups here and there.

Elprede was more or less very business during his short stay back on Zaero. There was plenty of things to keep him distracted from his training with Era and Valkyrie. He was unable to put all of his mind into it, his bouts with the two of them usually ended up with Valkyrie getting too frustrated with him to continue, Era or Elprede barely managing to beat one another, or he was forced to concede due to something else requiring his immediate attention. It was irritating to say the least, especially considering that he found no improvements to his base form was being made.

Instead, however, it seemed as if his Primal Form was growing stronger, as a strange turn of events. He glossed over the topic many times with Era and, even with both of their minds put together, could come up with nothing. Despite his knew-found techniques and extremely advanced knowledge of Ki from gaining the memories of the First God, he was still as confused as ever. None of that knowledge could explain what was going on with the Primal Form, or even what it was. In theory, it was the power of the First God showing through him, but there was no way to prove that. What was the point of having all the knowledge of some deity who had lived so long ago if it was mostly useless?

Despite all of this, his Primal form was becoming incredibly strong still. The amount his power increased by each time he transformed into it seemed to be greater every day he trained, eventually leading up to when they had to leave, his Primal Form increased his power by a total of 5 times what it was normally. That made the power of his punches quite strong, but he pretty much knew that it still wasn't enough. In theory, he had more than enough power to beat whoever those people were... in theory, he would also destroy himself utterly and anything within several hundred miles of the impact point. He didn't take too fondly of dying, even if he technically had six times prior. Technically, being the First God was a bit of a bitch.

Speaking of technicalities, the new techniques he had learned were incredible. He even taught Era some new things that she hadn't ever seen before; he was at least fairly certain that none of them had ever actually seen what Negative Ki could be used for. He assumed, due to having part of the First God within himself, that he could use such techniques like that. He was half right, while he could use it much longer and more efficiently that both Era and Valkyrie combined, it was still limited. You probably had to be immortal for using it extensively. He wondered if he would ever gain the immortality that the First God had. Perhaps some day in the future.

It was also amusing to see the Saiyan women's reaction to finding out that Nephelem did not eat or drink much. In fact, when he had told them that he hadn't had a meal in over 2 weeks, their jaws practically hit the floor. Nephelem did not require consistent sustenance; the processes of their body recycled the materials consumed many times over to keep itself running. While each recycling produced a little bit less energy, it was still confounding to them. That was okay, because when they had devoured much of the food they had, everybody except Elprede and Esperanza were downright flabbergasted.

They had managed to garner a well-made, small spacecraft for their travels. Of course, Elprede had to operate it for the simple fact that Era and Valkyrie couldn't begin to hope to understand what all of those randomly glowing buttons and levers did. The task was left mostly up to Jasmine regardless due to she uploading herself into its mainframe, commandeering it within the code itself.

Elprede was left in the training room of the place, practicing a new technique. He dubbed it the 'Mazunokari.' It doubled the fighting abilities of the user, but he soon discovered that it was very harsh on the body. So harsh, in fact, that he himself was not able to use it very much. Using it to double his power was a bit much for him due to his own biological limitations. He figured he would show Era how to use it at some point or another, she could probably even improve it. It was not fit for battle due to how much strain it had on his body, not to mention he could only hold it for barely a minute before it left him, leaving him very tired. Plus, it was very painful.

He took in a deep breath and readied himself, spacing his feet apart and then closing his eyes. "Mazunokari!" He yelled. A blast of red energy surged from him and his power doubled once more, enveloping him in the aura of energy. It radiated outward chaotically. unrefined in its ways. He was lucky the training room was near indestructible, otherwise this place would've been trashed a long time ago. Era and Valkyrie would've noticed the massive spike in Ki if the training was not designed to hide such things from everybody else to avoid false alarms. Unless one of them walked in, of course.

Within the confines of the ship, Valkyrie was growing restless. She was a true Saiyan in that she yearned for combat like few others did while Era was much more laid back and accepted challenges when and if they came her way. But Valkyrie searched them out actively. Since they were on this vessel now for the past week without a fight, Valkyrie was beginning to grow very antsy.

"Try to not blow up the ship okay V?" Era teased as Valkyrie paced back and forth in the hallway.

"Shut up Era... I'm bored silly in this thing!" Val barked.

Era chuckled.

"I know. It's not hard to tell when you're flustered." Era said.

Valkyrie grumbled, continuing her pacing.

During their trip Era had spent a good amount of time training and brainstorming with Elprede about a lot of things. For one thing she wanted to sense power levels like he did. She was sick of the Scouter and wanted rid of it as the device came with far too many limitations. He had taught her the basic principle, but it was proving very difficult to wrap her head around it. Despite being a prodigy, it seemed Era had met her match in the sensing of power levels as she'd made almost no progress during the trip.

The two Saiyans sat in their room waiting for the vessel to land, as it was rapidly approaching the planet where a distress signal was coming from. But why was the distress signal being sent? Invasion? A need of supplies? Perhaps a false alarm?

They'd find out soon.

@Deathrattle BB @ChazGhost

"Sir, we will be landing in 15 minutes." Jasmine said through the ship's auditory systems.

Elprede perked his ears at that and immediately powered back down to his base form. As the energy left him, all the muscles in his body contracted and agony ripped through him. He growled, gritting his teeth harshly and stumbling towards the doorways. "Oh it," he gasped sharply, palming the interface to exit. It opened up swiftly for him and he immediately exited.

His body was definitely sore now. It was going to be a bit before he recovered from using the Mazunokari. That was one of the reasons he had refrained from showing it to Era and Valkyrie thus far--the aftereffects of it were staggering to say the least. He didn't want Era to harm herself from performing it, and he didn't trust Valkyrie. She was much too proud and hot-headed for her own good, she would definitely hurt herself. Hell, she hurt herself without it by forcing too much Ki into her at a time already.

He had a slight limp, noticeable to anybody who cared. He opened their doorway, looking inside at them.

"We're landing in five minutes," he said. He looked disheveled and much more tired, especially considering he had last seen them barely an hour ago. "Be prepared for landing."

He went past the doorway towards the control room, groaning about something being bad for him, disappearing out of sight.

Era and Valkyrie observed Elprede as he entered the room to talk to them. To Valkyrie everything was normal, but Era saw Elprede's condition as being less than favorable. She trailed after him to the door and watched him leave down the hall with mild concern, but decided it best to leave him alone for now. He'd recover in due time.

Meanwhile they prepared for landing by laying down in their respective beds. They typically just rode out the landings and then floated to their feet when it was over.

But in the back of Era's mind she was still asking that essential question: What was creating the distress signal and why?

If there was a distress signal it meant one of two things usually: One, there was a powerful entity terrorizing the planet, but their power reading devices weren't picking up much of anything. Two, something was going wrong with the supply system or atmosphere and the inhabitants needed help getting off world.

So what was causing this one?

@Deathrattle BB @ChazGhost

Elprede let out a loud yawn as he entered the control room, looking out through the front of the ship at the approaching planet. He couldn't sense anything himself yet and Jasmine wasn't picking up anything. It was a bit perturbing that this planet seemed to have nothing wrong with it at all, yet they had sent a distress signal. He had no idea what could possibly be wrong with them, unless... perhaps they had stealth systems in place to hide Ki?

He shook his head. No, that wasn't possible unless they were Nephelem or Tuffles. No other race had the technology to produce such things. At the very least, none that he was aware of at all. When the ship landed in one of the bays, he promptly parked it somewhere and hopped out of it, looking about.

It seemed like any standard planet even if the denizens were some random species. Nothing was out of the ordinary to him currently. He waited by the entrance until Jasmine reintegrated herself with him.

"Hello, sir!" She chimed happily. "Its really good to be back, it was so lonely in that ship's computer system."

He nodded. Indeed. So, what do you think is the reason they sent out that distress signal?

If she could shrug, she would have. He sighed, looking at Era and Valkyrie when they came out. "Any ideas why they would have sent out a distress signal?" He asked.

A pirate ran into the bar were everyone was partying. "Hey Pyro theirs a ship heading to the fake distress signal that the local "gangs" planeted. Want to act on it before the gangs do?" the pirate said running up to Pyro.

"Really? Well I guess keeping my power level lowered was a good idea. Who ever wants have a bit of fun follow me." Pyro said smirking as finished his glass of wine. Then got up out of his chair and headed out of the bar. He was quickly followed by about six of his crew members who wanted to see who came and see how fast Pyro could take care of them. Pyro started flying quickly to where distress signal came from which made his power level easier to detect. Once him and his crew made it they he saw the Nephelem from the tournament.

"Well well if it isn't the little speedy fox. How has it been sense the tournament?" Pyro said floating above the their ship. The six pirates who followed made it a few seconds after Pyro and stayed right behind him. "So what's in the ship? Any goods or money hidden in it?" Pyro added looking at the ship.

"Or women" A pirate behind Pyro added.

Pyro then turned to him and sighed. "How time to I have to say it? Their is a line were we don't go over, and that's over it." Pyro said before pointing his finger at the pirates foot and sent a small ki laser through it. The pirate then screamed and held his foot.

"Sorry I forgot..." the pirate said in pain.

Era and Valkyrie had lingered inside the ship during landing. Elprede seemed content to jump out and survey the area, but both of them were content to lay there a while longer. They were curious about the distress signal, but still they were both enjoying the calm before the preverbal storm.

However, when Elprede called to them and their Scouters began detecting power levels approaching the area, both women got up and began to walk to the ship's now open doors.

"Or women." They heard a voice say just before exiting the ship.

They walked out just in time to see the Frost Demon shoot his associate in the foot as a warning not to "cross the line." Both women smiled at the thought of a Frost Demon with even the slightest twinkling of a moral code.

"Well he was not wrong." Valkyrie called up towards Pyro.

Era crossed her arms and remained silent though she did continue to smile.

They both walked several steps out of the ship to stand beside Elprede. They were concealing their power as well, keeping them down in the 10-15,000 range to avoid suspicion or aggressive responses from the locals. But if the Frost Demon was here, that was all the reason they needed to be ready to kick open the floodgates and show off their newfound power.

"I would ask about the distress signal, but if you're here then may I presume you're the cause of it all?" Era asked.

@ChazGhost @Deathrattle BB

"Sir I was..." The pirate was about to say before say before pyro turned around aglared at him. "Sorry..."

"Anyways, no I didn't set the distress signal, some of thw local gangs set them off so they can steal from those who ahow up to them. I just wanted to come here and get first dibs." Pyro said shrugging. "And lucky for me it was you three, I get a bit of revenge and get everything your ship." Pyro said smiling.

"Ya do it pyro!... Ya blow them away... I think my foots getting infected... Ya I want that foxs fur!" the pirates said cheering for Pyro.

Pyro then confidently smirked before saying "So who wants to die first". He then powered up to his max in base form, 100,000.
