Era and Val watched the fight from their chairs after having finished their conversation about how best to approach pushing Fae towards Super Saiyan. As Fae hovered down to the ground and caught her breath, Era and Valkyrie decided now would be a good time to subtly rub a bit of mud on Fae's progress.

"Not bad Fae!" Era called out giving Fae a thumbs up.

"It took a bit longer than I expected, but you did quite well!" Val called out, grabbing and sipping at her cup of water.

It was subtle, but it would be very effective on a subconscious level.

Fae was smart enough to know that her high-risk high-reward combat style could be pushed further than she had done today and that Era and Val would have expected her to do so, but she accomplished her goal just fine. Still, the words "a bit longer than I expected" would be enough to at least subconsciously eat away at Fae and cause her to think about what she could have done better to have accomplished her goal that much faster.

Fae, Era, and Val all looked out for and looked up to each other as Saiyans and as warriors. With Fae looking up to them as elder sister figures, hearing them congratulate her while still chiding her a tiny bit would be nothing new. But again it would force Fae to think about things a bit.

Likely thoughts would be: "What did they see in me that I didn't bring out?", "Why didn't I tag him faster? Where did I misstep?", and more.

As well, Era was usually more animated whenever Val or Fae did something well or when they surprised her. So Era's uncharacteristically calm and casual congratulations would ring hollow in the back of Fae's mind.

Again it was mostly going to be subconscious, but it would be that tiny thorn in her mind that would keep her awake just a few extra minutes tonight. And that was enough.

Tomorrow was going to be the day Era and Valkyrie pushed their bodies to the absolute limit. They were going to regret it for a while afterwards, but it would be worth it in the end.

For the most part, save Pyro, the Saiyans were all done for the first day of training. They'd learned the importance of rest and recuperation along the way leading to this point, and they knew further training would be fruitless. It was time to rest.

Pyro, however, was free to continue his training as he saw fit in the Void. A reward for having helped push Fae in the right direction towards Super Saiyan.

The next day, Era and Val awoke a bit later than usual. A byproduct of the drain the Super Saiyan power still had on their bodies. It was a bit concerning to them as they discussed it privately between themselves. They planned to power up to whatever limits their bodies could endure, but if they did that today there was no telling how long they'd have to rest again. Yesterday's training match was short, but they pushed themselves quite hard. If they powered up to absolute max and beyond...

...

Well, again it was a price they were both willing to pay. Pushing the might of the Super Saiyan form to its limits and beyond was part of their strategy to push Fae over the edge and to reach the power for herself. They might not be able to train for two or three days after this, but it was for Fae. They only needed to remind themselves of that once to determine that this was the right course.

It was for Fae.

Val and Era let Fae and Pyro get their training in first, having gone first yesterday, and once it was their turn they floated up and out into the Void before facing each other and powering up to the maximum their base forms would allow.

Era's power was now 13 million, and Val's had risen to just over 11.5 million making them much closer than they'd been before. Between them right now in their base forms, it would be anyone's guess as to who could win an all out battle between them. But that wasn't what they were here for today.

"Ready Val?"

"You have to ask?"

The two women smiled at each other before glancing down at Fae from the corners of their eyes, and then looked back to each other.

Slowly the air began to warm up throughout the area and a heat-wave shimmer appeared around them. The golden aura of the Super Saiyan erupted around their bodies turning their hair and the fur on their tails a brilliant golden blonde and their irises turned a turquoise coloration as they continued smiling at each other.

"Here goes..."

"And here's hoping our bodies can handle it without serious repercussions."

They nodded to each other, and both of them pulled their arms in and began screaming in effort as they began powering up.

At first it was slow going and the increases didn't come all that quickly. But over time the increases began to intensify and increase in magnitude as they seemed to find the source of power within and began drawing on it at an accelerated rate.

In response, their bodies began change right before Fae and Pyro's eyes. The more power they drew, the longer their hair grew and the greater their respective muscle masses became. The two of them continued powering up higher and higher and higher seemingly without limits. The Void was shaking. The pressure from their powers was easily ten times greater than it was yesterday. And just the sight of the two Super Saiyans powering up and transforming their bodies like that was, in and of itself, an intimidating sight.

Before long Era and Val began to feel that their bodies had reached their limits and would go no further without bringing great harm to themselves, and so they stopped powering up and looked at each other to see what they had accomplished.

The increase in hair length was something they could live with, but immediately they both saw and felt the same thing... That muscle mass was a problem.

If they powered up in their Super Saiyan forms like this in a real battle they would take a massive hit to their speed and agility. In a battle of immense powers, they couldn't afford that. Whatever they had just done to themselves was something they should not ever do again. Powerful as they had become, this was not a state of being which they would want to find themselves using in combat.

Still it was good enough to do what they wanted. Having demonstrated that the only thing stopping themselves from powering up further was the limits of their own bodies would help Fae realize that the limits of the Super Saiyan and the limits of the Saiyan who wielded its power were not one and the same. The Super Saiyan had no limits. At least none that were yet known. The ones with limits were Era and Val, but only in body. The two held potentially limitless power within their bodies at this very moment. All they needed to do was adapt their bodies to it and they would continue pushing their powers to new heights previously unimaginable.

Fae, on the other hand, didn't have that luxury or potential. At least she wouldn't think so, and that was the goal.

The two of them were already out of breath though, and they had to immediately power down as they floated to the ground and walked over to the entry way and sat down in their chairs.

"Phew!" Era said, taking a drink of water.

"Who knew we could push that far already?" Valkyrie stated.

Era nodded.

"No kidding... That was more power than I thought we'd be able to harness at this stage."

"It's exciting to see what else we're capable of, isn't it?"

"Immensely so!"

The two women continued bantering about how amazing what they had just done was and how wondrous it felt to know they could still push farther once their bodies were used to it. They spoke as if nobody else was around. For Fae, who was standing nearby, listening to them would whet her appetite for reaching that power herself, but it would also plant more subconscious doubt and envy about how far they'd come while she remained relatively the same.

Just a bit more. A few more days of this and a steady increase in just how hard they pushed the idea that she was never going to reach their level and Fae would transform. Just a few more days.

"You did good job kid" Pyro smiling. "Even though it was lucky" Pyro said slightly fibbing, Fae earned the hit after figuring out Pyro's weakness and using it.

Once the sayains were done for the day Pyro began training or well working on a new technique. With the increase of strength of there enemies Pyro needed to do a little more than just increasing his power level. So Pyro began practicing and experimenting using his ki. Eventually at the end of the time he had started channeling ki in his arm and making solidish. But after that Pyro went to sleep...

Next morning Pyro continued his practicing the next morning. Pyro wanted to try to getting the ki to form into blade type weapon around his arm. It wasn't very simple but before Val and Era began there training Pyro manged to make the ki completely so what was left to figure out was how to make sharp.

Pyro watched Val and Era power up to what he figured was there max. Judging from the increase in there muscles Pyro knew there would be some kind of decrease in speed and agility, how much so he didn't know but large amount at least. Pyro looked at Fae's reacts to see if their plans was beginning to work.

(I wanted Pyro to start working on a new technique and I figured ki blades would be simple and effective start.)

Once Faeora touched down on the ground, she exhaled sharply. She looked over her shoulder and smirked at Eva and Val. She couldn't help it, she actually felt some but of pride from achieving a hit on Pyro. While she didn't know how much she was actually looking forward to their words of endearment until they responded in a non character manner that... she wasn't used to.

Her smile faltered slightly, as something in her deflated. Not bad... longer than expected. Huh... Fae pushed the thoughts from her mind. Of course she shouldn't have expected them to have given praise over something that was as Pyro confirmed, just a lucky hit. It was stupid of Fae anyway, to have gotten her hopes up anyway. Looking for a compliment... that was stupid. Fishing for attention she didn't need. She sucked it up, and nodded and carried about the rest of the day. Some reason... she didn't feel like pushing herself much further today, so gave up her win to let Pyro train.

It wasn't until later that "night", that the thoughts became harder to keep away. Snaking their way maliciously into her head while she meditated. They came fragmented, repetitious, and piecemeal.... Not bad was not good enough... she could have sworn she did good... nobody was impressed... should be humble... not good enough... too long... could have done better, but how?... fragile... too fragile... Constant waves of various thoughts that she couldn't manage herself to push from her head. Everyone she tried, another one came and prodded stronger.

When she opened her eyes, she sighed, a somber expression on her face. For the first time in a long time, she ended her meditation early and came out of it feeling worse off than she did going in. She shook her head and laid herself down in her bed and closed her eyes. She shouldn't even be feeling this way... she wasn't normally this sensitive. She was supposed to be strong. Even if only emotionally. Eva and Era had their ups and downs, but Fae has resolved herself to be strong for the both of them. ...I've never been strong... Yet here she was worry about some words that 'sounded' hollow. Fae would just have one strengthen her resolve. She couldn't let herself be eaten up like this.

She drifted off to sleep that night, but didn't sleep very well. The next day would be a new day, at least. A new day to get stronger and push herself as everybody else was. No... she had to push harder... she was being left behind... just like she used to be...

She arose bright and early the next day. Neglecting to mention to them that it was only because she had woken up and hadn't been able to go back to sleep.

Well, today was the day she would push herself beyond the big ten. She knew. She could feel it. Her training the past few days before coming into void, she learned that she wasn't getting much out of her usual routine. So she decided to switch things up. Even though her normal training was already pretty extensive and varied, maybe she had gotten used to even that and was only just suffering from diminishing returns. So rather the usual focus on her body and pushing it's limits, she instead took the day to focus on ki, and unleashing it. Yeah. She needed this anyway. After so many power ups in so short of a timespan, it had become more difficult to find time to explore the outward use of Ki. Besides, she never had gotten the chance to explore blasts of the magnitude her power level could achieve in the atmosphere of Metahn or the old training room. It would be a good day.

Throughout her training, explored what she could do. From small blasts to as large and long as she could withstand. Keeping things interesting by trying to things differently with them, or trying to outrun them. And it was interesting, and just the thing she needed to keep her spirits up. Like going for a good swim when are used to the gym.

By the time she decided enough was enough, Era and Val seemed itching for their turn. That was fine. If Fae worked too much, she would need to recover more. Good pacing was important, after all.

But then the spectacle truly began, and Fae, eager that she was to learn as much about their power as she could, braved a front row seat. And what a spectacle it was. If she thought yesterday was impressive... this... this was almost scary. It was as if yesterday theyes had only been going lightly on each other.

As they powered up more and more, their presence intensified. Fae could feel ever flare of their combined rock through her body. Her chest tightened and her head swam. It got hard to breath... so much power... she looked at them with a face thay betrayed her amazement and longing. But still they grew stronger. And Fae studied every second of it.

Stronger. Just like the two of them always did. Always outdoing oneanother. Always out doing her. With such an unnatural unfair gift to not be beholden by any limits. True freedom. Even as their muscles began to bulk up, Fae immediately discounted the changes, if there was one thing she learned from the Yoseishin, it was how to go about pushing herself beyond ones limits. But what her focus lay on, was not whether they SHOULD, but that they COULD.

It wasn't until dots began to swim in font of her eyes that she realized she was having too much trouble breathing with this much pressure. Like she had been tossed in the wrong end of the void... but she forced herself through it, taking in a deep ragged breath.

They could do so much. They were always able to do so much... and a brief thought hurt her. That they were always out of her reach. Always behind. Even now as she watched them. How would she ever be able to compete or catch up? Was it really just a folly of a dream? No... she thought to herself as they powered down. She just had to try harder. Push harder. Train harder. Believe harder.

As they floated down, Fae hurried over to where she could meet them. Excited for them, and eager to tell them about ways that she thought she could help them, to let them in on the things she felt they could try to go even further. Maybe even see if the could try the Yoseishin to grow even more. She didn't think their bodies could handle it properly, but maybe some of the ideas behind it could help.

Fae was just happy at the hope of being able to help and advise. To show her some of the things that she knew, so they could see that she wasn't a bad fighter or stupid or just a dead weight.

But... despite her attempts to get a word in... the two of them didn't pay her any mind. Blown off entirely. Leaving Fae to stand there, watching them walk off happily like she didn't exist. Fae wanted to get angry about being ignored... but instead hung her head sullenly. Just standing there alone. Was she really that small a part of them? Did her words really not carry any weight? From the way they were talking... was their even anything useful she could even teach them?

It really was just another stab in the gut that like every other time before, Faeora pushed from her mind.

They wouldn't see her at all for the rest of the day. Well, she didn't talk to them for the rest of the day. For one, she knew when she wasn't wanted. But more importantly, she had other things to consider. For the remained of her time this day, she say cross-legged atop the building. A blank look on her face as she meditated. Thinking. Looking inwards at her body. She had to work harder. She had to push herself further. Much further. She had to break her limits. She needed to take the Yoseishin further.

If you want a hint of how the next day would start... her power level when she woke up fully rested... had risen from 9,999,920... to a whopping 9,999,925. But that didn't matter, or that is what Fae wanted herself to believe. Her focus for the coming days... was the Yoseishin.

Valkyrie and Era were out of commission for three full days after having pushed their bodies and their Super Saiyan power as far as they had. It was a small price to pay for helping Fae, but it was a mentally and emotionally draining experience for both women to be sidelined for three days. Knowing they had the power but that their bodies weren’t prepared to harness it fully or properly… It was maddening.

So to offset their disappointment and their frustration, they decided that the best thing to do was to continue their mental games with Fae.

Every time she sparred with Pyro, they congratulated her on a job well done but let their excitement ring hollow. Every time she demonstrated proficiency anew even with older techniques such as the Ki Anchor, they gave her casual thumbs up and expressed mild disappointment that she hadn’t pushed harder. Every time Fae looked to them for any kind of guidance, no matter how small or subtle the request, they danced around it and avoided giving her any such real help.

They hated themselves inside for what they were doing to her, but again it was for the sake of helping her realize a life-long dream that every Saiyan held deep within their hearts: to become a Super Saiyan.

After they had recovered, Era and Valkyrie began training themselves a bit more seriously. They knew that if they were to make the Super Saiyan power look as good as it needed to be in order to impress and upset Fae since she hadn’t attained it yet, they had to rid themselves of the drain the power had on their bodies and the enormous fatigue the form built up in a relatively short period of time.

They practiced transforming, holding it at their natural maximum for two minutes, and powering down. They rested for ten minutes, and whether they had completely recovered from the fatigue or not they repeated the process ad nauseum throughout the day. By the end of the day, they were unable to transform at all due to how fatigued their bodies had become, but they could feel a shift taking place within.

The next day, after a full day’s rest, they were still fatigued. When they transformed, they decided not to power up to maximum. Instead, they only powered up enough for the transformation to take place. Once they hit Super Saiyan, they sat down and meditated while holding the form for a single hour. Once the hour was up, they powered down and took a nap. Once they woke up, they found that their fatigue levels were far lower than they had been previously which was a good sign.

They continued that method of powering up just enough, meditating for an hour, and taking a nap for the rest of that day. The next day, they practiced powering up and meditating for two and a half hours. The day after, six hours. The day after, a single round of twelve hours of meditation while maintaining the form. And finally, they held the transformation for an entire twenty four hour period the following day.

Eight days.

Eight days was how long this all took. Three days of rest from their exhaustion, and five days of serious training.

And the entire time they were training and meditating, in between before and after naps they spoke to Fae telling her how amazing the transformation felt and how glorious it was to be able to hold the form for longer and longer periods of time. They did their best to make it seem like honest and innocent banter and excitement, but they really drove it home over and over again with phrases like, “You really don’t know what you’re missing!”, and “Once you get this power, you’ll never want to be in your base form again!”

The placement of "once you get this power" was very precise and deliberate, as it was meant to give Fae the faintest ray of hope which Era planned to utterly crush in the not too distant future.

Time and again between naps and meditation sessions they drove these points home, and during meditation they did so near the entrance so that Fae saw them no matter what. Every time she trained and made her way back to the entrance, there they’d be in Super Saiyan form meditating. Maintaining a power she had not achieved and continuously widening the gap in their respective powers and potentials. Whereas once she held her own against them both at once, now she’d only dream of being able to take on one of them if they were having a very, very bad day.

The next morning, day ten of their fifty allowed in the Void, Era decided that the time was finally upon them.

Fae’s behavior was becoming slightly more deflective of their banter and she isolated herself for longer periods of time to train as hard as she could. Era had been watching Fae the whole time and saw that she had pushed herself harder and harder each day, scolding herself every now and then for being weak and not being able to attain the power she knew she should be able to reach. She even went so far as to remind herself that Valkyrie had been less powerful than she was when she first transformed, so there was no excuse now for Fae not to have reached it by this point.

Era knew that this was exactly the mental state she needed Fae to be in, so it was time.

”Fae,” she called as Fae was in the middle of her training.

Once Fae reacted and looked her way, Era smiled.

”I think it’s high time you fought me at my best. What do you say?” She asked, powering up to her Super Saiyan form.

Fae seemed hesitant for a brief instant, but in typical Faeora Faerari fashion she brushed the hesitation away and took Era up on her offer.

This would be a training session like none Fae had been forced to endure before. In fact it wasn't even going to be a training session at all, in a manner of speaking. The reason being was that Fae was about to endure both mental and physical duress like none she’d ever experienced in her life. All of the negative feelings she'd been harboring about herself until now were child's play compared to what Era was about to unleash on her.

For the first and last time in both of their lives, Era was here to destroy Fae right down to her core.

The battle began immediately with Era sending a concussive burst of energy at Fae as if throwing a gale force wind at her. There was no way of dodging, as it was a near 360 degree concussive burst of pure energy. Fae had no choice but to brace for impact as she felt like being struck in the chest by a typhoon. Thankfully Era had held back considerably, and she let Fae know it which was the most devastating part.

”That was just a love tap, Fae. I’ve barely even begun to show you the fruits of my training this last week.” She said.

A subtle jab to start things off, but an effective one. Fae hid it well, but Era saw a hint of fear in Faeora’s eyes and she knew that they were off to a good start.

”Come at me with everything you have Faeora. I want nothing less from you this day!” She said, powering up a bit further.

Another subtle jab.

Having already gone Super Saiyan to fight with Fae was bad enough, but pushing her power a tiny bit further just to let Fae know she could, as well as to prove that she intended to slowly increase her power as the fight went on was rubbing salt in the now open wound which served as Era’s mental count down to Faeora’s destruction. Every jab from here on out would open that wound wider and wider until Era had determined that the wound was beyond healing... That moment would signal that Fae was ready.

Fae decided to pull out all the stops right away and engaged her Elprede-inspired Yoseishin technique she’d developed, and for the sake of pride and for fulfilling Era's demand she pushed herself farther in that energy-enhancing state than she’d ever done before. As Fae reached her powered up state, she mentioned to Era that through her training she’d been able to push the technique to multiply her power by a factor of 10x now, and that she could hold it for a decent length of time. Even if she was still much weaker, she promised Era this fight would be anything but easy.

Era only smiled, which irritated Fae.

Fae then began going after Era for all of her worth, starting with a full power blast from her Demolition Gun attack.

Era simply swatted it aside, powering up slightly when she was finished and giving Fae one of the most irritating gestures an opponent could: the “come on” gesture by curling her index finger towards herself a few times beckoning Fae to her.

Fae’s anger was definitely in danger of rising to a heated level, but she managed to control it for now. This was still Era and it was still training, no matter how irritating it was.

She charged in close to Era and used her Dynamic Wave technique in hopes of pushing Era back, but Era didn’t budge. She simply took the attack and brushed her shoulder off before powering up slightly further, again.

Fae backed off and grit her teeth as her anger mounted again. Normally Era didn’t upset her this much no matter what she did, but this casual “brush her off and power up” method of going about the fight, all while standing still as if she wasn’t even trying was what began pushing Fae to her emotional limits.

Fae charged the Demolition Fist as far as she could before stopping when she reached the point of optimization where she would suffer no damage and her opponent would suffer all. She flew at Era with all the speed she could muster and planted her fist into Era’s stomach sending her Ki into Era’s body…

Or at least that’s what she had intended.

But as her fist sat there against Era’s stomach, she looked up to find Era calmly smiling at her.

”Your Demolition Fist only works when your opponent is unaware of what the technique actually is. You transfer your Ki into their body and let it run amok doing harm, but if someone knows how to use their own Ki as a shield to protect their body from the infiltration... She said, her body flashing a golden hue before the light faded.

Era grabbed Fae's hand and gently pushed it aside.

"... Your technique is useless.”

Era then punched Fae in the stomach in the same manner as Fae had punched her. But unlike Fae’s punch, the blow completely knocked the breath from Fae’s lungs and sent her flying back into the Void. Era gave chase, flying after her and even sometimes alongside her just to show she could before Fae finally righted herself and caught her breath.

Era touched down a short distance away and glanced over Fae’s shoulder before giving a small smile.

”Nice try Fae, but I think you should try again with something else… Follow me,” she said in a subtly taunting voice.

Era floated to an area of the Void in which the ground was near pitch black, and landed softly waiting for Fae to come to her. Fae was wary of the change in the coloration of the ground, but she decided the Hell with it. She was going to get Era back for that last one. She charged at Era full force, but the moment her body reached the edge of the black floor she was suddenly sucked down and slammed onto the ground for no reason.

But she had felt this before… It was the gravity.

Era had led her to a spot in the Void where the gravity was great enough to completely disrupt her ability to move such that she couldn’t even get up anymore. She was lying completely flat face down, and she couldn’t fight it or move her body to get up. The pressure on her internal organs was beginning to take its toll as well which didn’t take long. Fae began coughing and gasping for breath as Era slowly walked up to her as if there was no gravity difference at all.

”It’s not like you to do that Fae. Following an opponent to their chosen field of combat. We’ve all been taught better than that. If the opponent leads you somewhere, there’s a reason for it and you should never fight on their terms.”

Era leaned down and picked Fae up which caused Fae enormous pain. Being lifted up into the air while the oppressive gravity pulled her back down was causing her joints to stretch and her bones to begin bending. None of them broke, but they were coming dangerously close.

Luckily Era walked her out of that space and tossed her back onto the ground where the floor was its natural white/blue hue. Fae gasped for breath and fought desperately to get her heart rate back under control after it was nearly crushed by whatever gravity level that was.

”That was only three hundred and fifty times gravity, Fae. I have found a few spots which have even higher gravity already. Those with five hundred times have a subtle red sheen to them under the right lighting conditions, and those with one thousand times gravity have no light or reflective quality at all. They’re pitch black, and nothing more. Keep your eyes peeled for those as we move about this area.” She warned.

Era gave Fae the space she needed to catch her breath and get her heart under control. Fae made it to her feet and her body ached all over. She hadn’t even noticed until just now as she stood up that her Yoseishin had been cancelled out as well since her focus had been broken.

She powered up the technique again, pushing her body to 10x its normal power level before glaring Era down.

After a few heated words had been exchanged, Era powered up slightly again and that was the last straw. Fae leapt at her, and finally a real fight began in which Era fought back. They threw techniques at one another at a furious pace, but only Era’s were connecting. What’s worse, they were softer than the one she’d given Fae before. Fae couldn’t land a single blow, and Era landed all those she threw Fae’s way. But they were soft as if Era was just tapping Fae, which meant Era was significantly holding back despite having powered up so much.

Fae finally broke away and asked why Era was holding back if she had raised her power, and Era replied with the most simple yet condescending answer Fae had ever heard from her.

”I’m just practicing a soft touch is all.”

That was all Fae could stand.

She powered up the Yoseishin to 15x no longer caring for the outcome or what it did to her body. She’d trained with the 10x for long enough. She felt she was ready for more, and Era definitely deserved it with that answer.

Fae continued battling Era, but as the fight progressed Era began hitting harder and harder forcing Fae to fight more defensively.

Eventually the battle reached a climax where Era had Fae backed into a corner. The Yoseishin was taking its toll and Era was still in full control and pressing an aggressive attack on Fae. In response, Fae activated a final desperate move to try and prove just once in this fight that she could hold her own. She used the Ki Anchor. As Era came in Fae extended her energy into the ground and braced herself for the powerful blow she knew was coming her way. And come it did.

Era slammed her right leg across Fae’s stomach, and even though the technique was working well enough to where it hurt but didn’t seriously injure Fae, something happens which Fae had not expected nor ever had happen to her before.

The Ki Anchor gave way.

The ground which had been enriched by her Ki remained firm, but whatever the “ground” of the Void was it behaved much like concrete. The ground which Fae held firm to broke away from the rest of the ground around her, and she, along with her little patch of Void floor, were launched into the air where her focus wavered in her shock at what had just happened before it all broke apart. The ground beneath Fae’s feet broke into numerous chunks causing Fae to begin falling before she caught herself in flight, but was then sent sprawling to the ground from another kick by Era.

When Fae had regained her composure and made it again to her feet, she looked up and saw Era staring down at her with an uncharacteristically cold and empty expression on her face.

”The Ki Anchor… Your trump card and last ditch move to save yourself from a potentially fatal blow.” Era began as she slowly descended and her feet touched the ground.

”It’s a beautiful technique. In fact I used my own improved version of it in which my Ki enriched the entire planet's surface to ensure both it and I were safe from the attacks of the now deceased mad King." She said, tilting her head slightly to the side.

"... But your version has a flaw which even you never knew existed.” She said, walking towards Fae.

She stopped a few paces away, still giving Fae that cold and empty stare.

”The Ki Anchor is only as powerful as you make it. In doing so, the ground enriched by your Ki becomes stronger than the ground around it. The weaker ground beyond the range of your Ki Anchor falters and gives way under intense pressure such as the blow I dealt you, causing the ground you stand on to separate from the rest which then puts you at the mercy of your opponent… As you just saw.” She continued.

Era began slowly powering down, but remained in her Super Saiyan form staring at Fae as she put a hand up towards her old friend... A clear signal to stop what they were doing.

”Fae… Enough.” She said, finally powering down to her base form and letting her hand down.

”I’ve been sensing everyone’s power from the moment we all came into this Void Room, and yours has barely increased at all despite you having ten full days to take advantage of this space’s benefits.”

She sighed softly.

”… You’ve reached your limit, Faeora.” She said.

Fae’s eyes widened a bit in both disbelief and denial, but Fae could not say anything in response to such a powerful verbal blow. Not when it came from Era.

”Honestly, Fae, I think it would be best if you left this Void Room and went back to live your life on Metahnn.” She said, looking over her shoulder at the entrance in the distance.

”If this is your limit, then it’s no longer safe for you to accompany us. Valkyrie and I intend to continue scouring the galaxy for the Darkhoods and Omnizwart since we know we can’t just leave them out there to do as they please. Now that we’re Super Saiyans, our power is potentially infinite and will continue to grow the longer we train. But your power has reached its limit, so we cannot rely on you in such a fight where our enemies will only become more powerful as we do.” She said.

She turned back to look at fae.

”I don’t think you’ll ever become a Super Saiyan, Fae. I’ve recently theorized that, given the circumstances, the Super Saiyan form, much like our naturally absent Genetic Limiter gene, is part of who Valkyrie and I are. I no longer believe it’s something that can just be attained.” She said, her tone a bit more somber now than empty.

She turned towards the entrance and looked at Fae over her shoulder.

”Faeora… Take pride in what you have accomplished. You’re now more powerful than your entire family combined. You are the strongest Faerari now. Even though you’ll never achieve your dream of becoming a Super Saiyan, at least you have achieved your dream of becoming more powerful and earning the respect you rightfully deserve from your family and our people. When you return home, nobody will ever call you “weak” ever again.” She said.

With that, Era flew off towards the entrance leaving Faeora there to absorb and process what she’d said.

When Era landed Valkyrie was waiting for her, and she was obviously very agitated and eager to know what had happened.

”Well?” Valkyrie asked with a worried tone.

Era heaved a sigh.

”I’ve said all that I believe needed to be said… Now it’s up to Fae.” She said, turning back to look at where she had left Fae in the Void.

It truly was all up to Faeora now.

Would she let those words crush her spirit, or would she use them instead to at last summon and harness the power which Era and Valkyrie could, even at this very moment, feel in the deepest reaches of her body?

What began as the chance of her life to feel the power of the Super Saiyan for herself transformed rapidly into a test of her patience and willpower. Era’s power and the way she was carrying herself was having an effect on Fae like none she’d felt before.

Faeora panted heavily as the fight began to reach its peak with Fae using all of her best moves at full power against Era, but to no effect. Each breath felt like a dagger being stabbed into her side, and like no gaping inhalation could possibly fill her lungs. Faeora's body burned, it ached all over. The purple Aura of the Yoseishin flickered as she struggled to hold onto it in these last ditch efforts to try to push against Era’s Super Saiyan form with everything she had.

But when Era began powering up to attack her, she knew this was her chance. The power of her Ki Anchor had never failed her before, and this was her opportunity to show Era that even a Super Saiyan had its limits and that there was one technique Fae had which could stand up to Era’s Super Saiyan might.

She dug deep and set herself, enriching the ground with her Ki to anchor herself to the ground so that Era’s blow would not send her flying… But the end result was absolutely not what Fae expected to have happen. The ground she stood on stayed in tact, but was tossed away from the rest of the ground around it as if it were part of her instead of the Void. And before long the ground under her feet broke apart before Era sent her sprawling into the ground.

Shortly afterwards, Era explained to Fae what the weakness of her Ki Anchor was and, much worse, said she had developed a version of it which was superior to Fae’s own.

… Wasn’t that just like Era to take something she saw once or twice and then duplicate it or, even worse, improve upon it?

That was a prodigy for you, and Fae should have been angry with Era for doing such a thing but for whatever reason all she could feel was shock. Shock that Era had found a weakness in the one technique Fae had always placed 100% faith in and which she never thought would let her down in dire situations.

But it was what happened after that which brought Fae’s confidence crumbling to the ground.

As soon as Era held up her hand, Fae knew it was over. The aura of the Yoseishin disappeared with a flare, but letting it go only made her body hurt even more. She stared blankly at Era, ready for her to call it day and try again tomorrow. She wanted more right now than rest.

But... that wasn't what came from her lips.

As Era spoke, Era would be able to see the expression on Fae's face change from looking tired and determined to truly and utterly dumbstruck. Fae's mouth hung open, and her breathing changed as well as she stared at Era with disbelief. And as Era spoke, Fae's mouth moved to try and object, but something... Something wouldn't let her. She wasn't even able to form words. There wasn't even any sign of the telltale anger that would normally come from telling Fae off in such a way.

Every word Era sent her way cut into Fae's stomach and chest like a knife. Her heart skipped beats here and there as a result, and all the while Era was telling her all of this to her face.

Fae's eyes were locked onto Era's with every word as if she was scanning with all her might to look for some sign that this wasn't real. That she was just kidding. Fae couldn't find that sign... and Era would have trouble telling if the bit of moisture around the corner of Fae's eyes was sweat... or her friend trying to hold back tears.

But the blood draining from her face was obvious enough.

But their gaze was broken by something that really tore a hole in Fae... Era turned her back on Fae and left her there in that spot. Fae was floating in the air and raised her hand as if to reach out... but by this point, watching Era leave, Fae felt everything come crashing down on her.

She felt sick... So sick that she couldn't even fly. She didn't even notice that she was descending until her feet touched the ground. And as soon as she had her knees were too weak to support her causing her to fall forward. She caught herself with her hands, but she felt it a shameful thing for a Saiyan such as herself to be on all fours. Even her usually active crooked tail laid still and limp on the ground beside her.

She exhaled a ragged breath she didn't even know she had been holding, coughing a disbelieving half-sob as the her brain tried to wrap itself around Era's words.

Her emotions began slowly descending down into a void of no return while her conscious mind fought to rationalize what had just been said to her.

She was weak...

She had reached her limit…

She was now a liability…

Fae knew that she’d had trouble growing as of late… She knew she had trouble getting stronger. And in the past it never mattered how hard she worked... Era had always believed in her no matter the results of her training. Era had never before berated her for being weak. She had always seen some value in Fae… But not this time.

Apparently Fae had pushed those limits too far and Era just couldn't put up with it anymore.

Now not even Era believed that she could get stronger... She didn't seem to believe that Fae had any worth anymore. How weak must she be that Era had to tell her to just go home?

But the worst thing about all of this?

The worst thing was that Fae had been given hope. Hope that once they shared blood, she was finally able to push further. Now that hope was ripped away because of none other than herself. Her own weakness. Her own limits. Even when given that gift... She failed to live up to it or take full advantage of it. How else should she have expected it to have ended? The power wasn't hers. It was stolen... and Fae was nothing more than a parasite leeching off of everything that Era and Valkyrie were.

To go back to Metahnn... To go back to her old life.

No. She couldn’t do that. If she went back now her family would ask why she wasn’t with Era and Valkyrie. She had come back to Metahnn with them and played a vital role in bringing down the now deceased King. So why did she suddenly come home?

And if she told the truth about Era having turned her away due to her having reached her limit?

… Her limit.

Her limit.

That word had always haunted her. Plagued her. Taunted her. From the day she was born she was the weakest Faerari and her life had been Hell because of it. All of her family and all the other prestigious Saiyan Families, even those with members weaker than her, looked down upon her for her label as the “runt” of the Faerari name.

She was tired of it. She’d been tired of it for years, but it was still coming back to haunt her!!

“Why?” She asked herself aloud as she grit her teeth and clenched her fists.

“Why won’t you leave me alone?” She whispered as tears dripped from her cheeks.

Meanwhile, back at the entrance of the Void Room…

Era and Valkyrie had been sensing Fae’s energy since Era made it back, and both of them perked up for a brief moment as they sensed what they believed was the beginning of a change. But it died away just as quickly as it had arrived.

”… Come on Fae.” Era whispered.

”Fae… You can do this. Just dig deeper.” Val said.

Fae’s fists were clenching and her teeth grinding harder as the tears fell and she continued questioning in her mind why that blasted word “Limit” wouldn’t leave her alone. All her life it followed her like a shadow. And like a shadow, it cast her into darkness every time it came to her lips.

Just continuing to think about it brought Fae to physical pain, and she finally realized that she was crying as she saw her tears fall to the ground in front of her face. She reached up and swiped her fingers across her cheeks. When she pulled her hand back she saw the moisture on her hands and her eyes opened wider at this realization.

She’d never cried before. Not for something like this. Not even in all of the anger and frustration she’d bottled up her entire life and the raw, seething hatred she felt for the word “Limit” had she ever let it make her cry.

“…”

For the first time, Faeora felt truly alone and vulnerable. She felt… She felt like a frightened and lost child left alone in the wilderness by her parents to fend for herself against the ferocious beasts of Metahnn’s deep forests. Alone. Weak. Afraid. So much so that she could feel the muscles in her face and she knew exactly what facial expression she was making.

Her eyebrows were relaxed, but oblique and slightly raised just above her nose. Her jaw hung slightly agape, her lips parted, her cheeks and most of the rest of the muscles were relaxed leaving her face looking and feeling soft… Weak.

For the first time in her life, while crying, Fae looked truly feminine. She’d always held a harder and more serious expression no matter the circumstances, wanting to be seen as a figure of dominance and confidence. But now she could feel in her own face that she looked like a figure of vulnerability and shame.

It sickened her.

It caused her stomach to turn and her mind to twist as she began clenching her teeth and closing her eyes tight before slamming her fists into the ground with a scream of frustration.

“WHY?!” She yelled.

A spark of bio-electricity shot forth from her back between her shoulder blades.

“WHY?! WHY?! WHYYYY?!” She shrieked as she hit the ground with every word.

A few more sparks, and the air began to sizzle around her.

Back at the entrance, Era and Valkyrie’s faces began to brighten as they sensed the shift in the atmosphere and could see the change in the air in Fae’s general direction. That subtle heat-wave like shimmer beginning to develop in the distance.

”That’s it Fae!!” Era said aloud with a clenched fist.

”Keep digging!!" Valkyrie yelled, knowing full well Fae couldn’t hear her.

Fae’s mind churned, and every thought about her limits and her past were now driving the knife of betrayal and self loathing deeper and deeper. Her heart it ached. It hurt. She could feel it in actual physical pain. Her stomach twisted itself into knots until she felt like she was going to throw up.

She had no one to blame but herself for all of this… And she hated that fact.

But no, it wasn’t just her. Her head came up slightly with a feral expression of fury as she came to another realization about why it was that the word “Limit” bothered her so much.

It was her name.

All her life as the weakest Faerari, Fae had to endure other Elite families like Valkyrie’s not knowing her name. They knew the name of everyone else in her family. But not hers. Her name was absent. Hidden. Unnecessary.

Fae powered up trying desperately to reach the peak of her power and hit that ten million mark, but she could feel it had stopped short. It felt the same as it had before. A few measly points away according to the Scouter.

She powered down and relaxed, the heat-wave shimmer dying away and the bio-electricity coming to a stop.

Umm… What’s your name again?” Came a voice in her head.

It was a memory of a prestigious family’s heir engaging her family in a conversation before Fae entered the room. She was young then. Maybe six or seven years old. But even back then she knew she was the low girl on the totem pole in her family. But still this memory was strong enough to warrant a resurgence at this particular moment, as it was the first time in her life she’d met someone who didn’t know her name and had the gall to ask her face to face what it was.

“… My name…” She muttered.

Her name… It was Faeora Faerari.

She grit her teeth and sucked back the sobs to try powering up to ten million once again. She forced herself past the damage she knew this had to be doing to her, but her peak was even less this time... Several hundreds of thousands away before she had to let go and relax her body from the pain and tension it was causing.

It was hard to breath enow. She choked and coughed several times feeling her limbs tremble with the forced exertion she was putting herself through. Even after all she been through to get this far. After what she gave to the King for the sake of Era’s transformation and victory over him. Even after all the hard work and suffering she put herself through her entire life…

She wasn't going to get any stronger...

She’d reached her…

No.

She wasn’t going to say it.

She wasn’t even going to think it.

It was a lie. It had to be. She was Faeora Faerari.

“Umm… What was your name again?”

She looked up at the entry way with that ferocious snarl on her face as the air began heating up once more with that sizzling heat-wave shimmer and a few more arcs of bio-electricity shot forth from her body as they had before.

“My name is Faeora Faerari.” She growled.

“Pardon, but what was your name again?” Came another voice from another such memory.

“My name is Faeora Faerari!” She growled more loudly.

Her fists were clenching so hard they were starting to bleed from her nails cutting into her palms.

She hated herself. Her fragility. The world. Her family. Her weakness. Everything. She hated that she would never have a power to truly call her own. And she hated that she had nothing left at all to take pride in, no matter what Era had said before departing about being proud of where she was now.

None of that mattered.

For what felt like an eternity she tried to power up to breach her previous limit of ten million, but each time it fell just shy of reaching that point. She knew the feeling of her limit so well that she could tell almost exactly down to the single digit number where her power level was now. It kept falling short. It kept reaching that limit.

And at last, Era and Valkyrie could sense what they had been waiting for… Something inside Fae snapped, and they sensed it like a jolt of electricity striking their bodies which brought smiles and excitement to both of them.

”Do it Fae!!” Era yelled as she powered up to her own Super Saiyan form.

”Now reach out and claim the power that’s rightfully yours!!” Valkyrie cheered, powering up to her Super Saiyan form.

Then, together, they cheered as one for their dear friend: “Faeora Faerari! Join us as a Super Saiyan!!”

They both let their power flare as they powered up to maximum in preparation for Faeora’s transformation.

Fae couldn’t hear them, nor was she able to sense their energy or transformations. Her mind was too broken and unfocused to do that now.

But it was finally happening.

Whether this hatred that was now overtaking her was for herself, the original Super Saiyan, the Gods if they were real, or at Era for her words… Fae no longer cared.

All that she felt was fury. Primal, seething fury.

Her limits were a lie. They were a LIE!

“Oh dear… Please forgive me my lady, but I’ve forgotten your name. What was it again?”

“I am Faeora Faerari!!” She screamed as her hair began waving out around her head and her tail lifted and began twitching about as if searching for something.

A few more sparks of bio-electricity began arcing from her body as her aura unconsciously flared to life around her.

“Ugh. I forgot… What’s your name again?”

“My NAME is Faeora Faerari!!” She screamed.

Her power had now reached its previous limit, but even though she didn’t realize it yet her power had taken a few tiny steps further. In fact, it now ticked up just enough to hit the ten million mark. And it was still rising slowly.

Fae’s energy began flaring about her as the Yoseishin activated unconsciously, her desire for power pushing her to activate it without knowing. Her power jumped tremendously in that moment, and that seemed to be the trigger her body needed.

A memory of her father came rushing back to her. A memory of shame and disappointment. A memory… of limits.

“Faeora, I have to say I’m disappointed in you.” Came her father’s voice.

Her teeth ground a little harder.

“… Shut up.” She whispered.

“Your power is impressive… For a female.”

“Shut up.” She said aloud.

“But it seems that you have reached your limit, as I unfortunately expected of you.”

“Shut the hell up!” She yelled.

“I recommend letting go of whatever dreams you had of equaling your brother, Faero. He is the pride and heir of this family, and he will always be your superior. Be satisfied with the fact you share our family name, and continue your training to better yourself even if you never become any more powerful. It’s all you can do now.”

“SILENCE you old FOOL!!” She shrieked.

Her power flared again, her aura growing to more than three times its previous size as the Yoseishin power dissipated and was replaced by… something else.

Fae’s hair flashed a golden hue and her eyes a turquoise sheen. They returned to normal, and flashed again as her power began rapidly ascending with increasing intensity in the bio-electricity that was arcing from her body like a Tesla Coil from Earth.

The Void was shaking beneath her as she shrieked and wailed in agony and fury. Agony from the pain it was causing. Fury from the source of this power’s emergence.

Another arc, another cry of agony.

Another memory, another shriek of fury.

“… You’ve reached your limit…”

Her fists clenched, sending a small spurt of blood out from her palms which rapidly evaporated before touching the ground.

“… What was your name again?”

Those phrases haunted her.

“… You’ve reached your limit…”

“… What was your name again?…”

They berated her.

“… You’ve reached your limit…”

“… What was your name again?…”

Fae’s power began ascending even faster as her hair and tail solidified their golden color and her eyes remained that turquoise sheen.

“… You’ve reached your limit…”

“… What was your name again?…”

Fae looked up slowly to the visions of the people who were saying these things to her all seemed to appear before her. It was a subconscious projection of all those who had, in her mind, done her wrong throughout the years. Her father. Her siblings. Other prestigious and Elite level families and heirs. Even the recent deceased King had mentioned her limits, and he was there staring at her and licking his lips.

Fae’s eyes opened wider and her posture became more erect as she stood up without realizing it.

“My name is Faeora Faerari… And I… … I… … ….”

“… You’ve reached your limit…”

“… What was your name again?…”

The world went silent in Fae’s ears and mind. No wind. No heartbeat. No voices. Nothing. It became a world empty and devoid of sound or coherent thought save one…

“I HAVE NO LIMITS!!!” She shrieked at the top of her lungs.

Her power exploded with the aura of the Super Saiyan erupting to life around her and bathing the world within a near 100 meter radius in its golden light. Her power soared to new heights and settled nicely at fifty times her previous base power resting just below five hundred million.

Faeora panted heavily as her power began to settle, though the aura of the Super Saiyan was alive and violently whipping about her.

She hadn’t even realized that she’d stood up before her final shouts of anger had come, and she only now came to grips with the fact that she was on her feet. The world around her in a golden hue still hadn’t registered either, nor had where her power ended up.

She was still in shock. Still blind to the changes.

All she knew was that she felt… good. Better than she’d ever felt before.

But why?

To say they were proud was the understatement of the century.

Era and Valkyrie, after having powered up to their Super Saiyan forms and shouting their cheers for her, had traveled to Fae's location and were both floating in the air looking down upon their friend and her newfound Super Saiyan power. Both Era and Valkyrie were smiling ear to ear and could't help but let a few tears of happiness slip from their eyes as they wiped their faces clean and began slowly descending and touching down in front of her.

"Fae..." Era began.

"Congratulations, my friend." Valkyrie finished for her.

Both of them gave Fae a very honest and sincere bow of apology before standing up straight and explaining themselves.

"Typical of Era, she discovered what the trigger for the Super Saiyan transformation was: despair." Valkyrie said.

"We know it was cruel, and we hate ourselves for having gone through with it. But we both theorized that if we led you to believe that your power no longer mattered and that your dreams of reaching the power of the Super Saiyan were never going to become a reality that you'd break. And break you did, but in doing so you have also unlocked your dreams." Era said, fighting back a few more tears of joy.

"Fae, don't be alarmed... ..." Valkyrie began, also holding back a few tears as she and Era looked to each other and then back at Fae.

"Look at yourself." They said as one.

It was an odd feeling... she didn't know what to make of it... but she did not have much time to reflect as Era and Valkyrie approached, landing in front of her. Immediately she felt a slight tightening in her chest, a fluttering of anger. Like a devil on her shoulder telling her that she wanted nothing more to punch that smug Era right in her happy face.

But... before that thought had even got very far, they spoke. The tears. The smiles. They confused her. Fae's first instinct was to even hear the word 'friend' as if it were a venomous sarcastic jab. But no sooner did Fae let out a ragged breath and a cold stare, trying to push aside the hostility she felt, than Era and Val bowed and trying to explain things to her.

But rather than shut them up. Or leave... she listened. And stared. Confused. The sudden change of their emotions and tone bewildering her. She could think. She heard their words. It was just such a one eighty...

They told her to look. And she did. First at her hands. She felt different... but she looked the same. But there was a glint of something that caught the corner of her eye. A flash of yellow. Turning her head, she the tail. A golden yellow tail. That was her tail... no. That couldn't be her tail.

Faeora reached out to touch it. She felt the touch... she ran her hand along it. Feeling the natural matting of her fur... and the unnatural bends that she had recently become all to familiar with. It was her tail.

But as she looked inward. She could feel it. Such an immense power inside her. Was it really true? Faeora didn't just feel good. She felt... free. Alarmed... Alarmed was a wierd way to put it. She was trying to take in the revelation of what she was as the real meaning of their words finally made sense.

She put a hand over her breast, exhaling sharply. Like she normally did when trying to regain her center. Which... wasn't that easy. She couldn't say that she wasn't angry or hurt. But she was beginning to see what it was they were trying to do... the same thing Fae had did for Era. Something was almost funny about that thought. In a morbid sort of way. Fair was fair. And it was something she could empathize with...

It raised the thought... how much those thoughts had really... no. Not this time. No this was something incredible.

"I am a Super Saiyan." She finally said. Nodding, bringing her gaze back up to meet theirs. And she could see it now. That they were happy for her. That they were feeling pride in her. For sure now that it wasn't just a cruel joke.

"I think I see. I understand why you did it. I suppose I did need a push like that, didn't I?" She asked. She really should have known better than to think that they would abandon her like that. But that just went to show how much those thoughts had truly weighed on her. "Thank you. For helping me. Both of you. I know you two... it couldn't have been easy..."

"But I still really.... really want to break your nose right now."
She said, looking directly at Era as she said it. And the way Faeora said it made it disturbingly hard to tell if she was serious or joking. Though given some of the things Era had said to her... it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to assume it was Fae being honest.

Though... with that aside. Faeora had done it. She had finally done it. And unbelievable weight was lifted off her shoulders. Dead weight that had done nothing before but hold her back and keep her from going where she wanted to go.

Faeora took a deep breath. "I... am a Super Saiyan..." She repeated.

ChoShadow ChoShadow ChazGhost ChazGhost

Era and Val couldn't help but chuckle warmly when Fae mentioned wanting to break Era's nose.

"Honestly Fae... I want to break my own nose for what we did. Even if it was to help you reach your potential as a Super Saiyan, both of us feel like tailless losers."

((Tailless Loser is one of the worst insults a Saiyan can give to another, just fyi))

Valkyrie nodded in agreement.

"No kidding. It was maddening going through all of that. Val added.

But then Val and Era both looked to each other with a knowing smile, and then they looked back to Fae.

"Fae," They both began.

"Now it truly is time for you to face Valkyrie and I both at our best. We owe you far more for what we put you through..." Era took her stance.

"... But you are our equal now, in every way. And your journey as a Super Saiyan begins here." Val concluded, taking her stance as well.

"Now come, Faeora. Show us your true power as a Super Saiyan." They said as one.

They both began powering up to their optimum level of power, which was considerably high given their meditative training to adapt their bodies to the stress of the form. But with Faeora sitting at a comfortable half a billion in power level, she'd find this fight far, far easier than any bout she'd had with these two in the recent past.

Now she was free of all burdens, mental and emotional, and so too was her power. Potentially infinite growth was now at her fingertips, and it was only a matter of time before she and her work ethic took their place among the strongest fighters in the universe.

... And what was even better...

If she went home to show this to her family...

Well... To say the least, the name of Faeora Faerari would at last become a name everyone would know... Or at least, it was a name anyone who felt their own name was worth any level of significance would know.

......

The fight between the three Super Saiyans began, and it was a miraculous spectacle and demonstration of power, endurance, and a will to win the likes of which would not be seen again for a long time to come.

The next day, the three Super Saiyans were all spent and had to rest, leaving Pyro to train as he pleased for the entire day.

The day after, day 12 of 50, would see Era fulfill her promise to Pyro about helping him power up through his training as well since all three of them were now Super Saiyans. At the rate Frost Demons grew, if he sparred with even one of them on a regular basis, his power would soar by the time he exited this Void Room when the 50 days were up.

Even though Pyro was developing his own new technique(s), Era made a promise and she was going to keep it. Pyro deserved to train with them for all the work he'd put in with helping Fae get to this point in accordance to Era's plan.

Pyro of course was increasingly displeased with how Val and Era treated Fae. He knew it was to make her stronger but Pyro was never a fan of mind games. His training with his crew was harsh and a possible hell at times but he always told them when they did good and when they did something bad. With the passing days Val and Era didn't do the same, they only played mind games with Fae and unhappily Pyro couldn't stop them or help Fae either.

As the final moments before Fae's transformation into a new world Pyro began to question how good truly was the super sayain form. A power that can only come out of after a very dramatic and possibly mind breaking event in some eye can be seen dangerous for the foe as well as the user. Or this how Pyro was beginning to see the super sayain form. After this thought Fae transformed and Pyro smiled and was happy for her. But still in the back of his mind he wonder what did she lose in the process.

Pyro only chuckled to himself about the idea a short moment later. "I was never a theorist before, so why start now..." Pyro said before flying over the group of sayains. "Well done Fae, it seemed the legend of super sayain had just gotten a little bigger." Pyro said once arrived. "Just don't let it go to your head... And do put on a good show against these two." Pyro said pointing at Val and Era.

Thirty eight days.

That's how long they had to train, and they made the most they could given the situation.

Faeora had become a Super Saiyan, joining the ranks of Saiyan Legends alongside her old friends Era and Valkyrie. If ever there was a time to return home and demonstrate to her family that they were wrong to treat her as a "weakling" for all of these years, it was now.

Her strides, along with those of Era and Val, had been great. However, for Era, they hadn't been great enough.

Despite having thirty eight days to meditate on why it was that the Super Saiyan power drew so much stamina and drained them of their energy so quickly, she had found no answers. She wracked her brain day and night trying to figure it out.

She turned her senses deep inside, feeling out the core element of the Super Saiyan power within her body. But nothing.

She tried meditating and remaining in her Super Saiyan form for an entire twenty four hour period again, but it was no use.

No matter what she tried, she could not find the answer... And it frustrated her endlessly throughout the entire experience.

However, that was a small failure in the face of such massive success.

With Faeora now a Super Saiyan, both Era and Valkyrie turned their attention to helping her hone and adapt to her new powers. The day after her transformation Faeora slept the entire time due to the strain it had put her through. But once she was recovered and rested, she joined Era, Valkyrie, and Pyro in their rotational training regimen.

Era's base power had previously been 13 million, and Valkyrie's 11.5. Now they were 15 and 14.6 respectively, and Valkyrie couldn't be happier about it. She was closing the gap which had always existed between them since this mess all started. Of course Era had an excuse as to why this was so. She was testing the Super Saiyan power and meditating on the answers she never found, so her physical training suffered for it. But that was no skin off Valkyrie's nose.

Despite the mystery surrounding the Super Saiyan form's energy drain, Era had figured out other things about it which all three were able to make use of.

For starters, the power of the Super Saiyan grew the longer the battle dragged on which came as a double-edged sword. The longer they remained in the form, the deeper they could drink from their endless well of power. But at the same time that meant the strain on the body was increased, leading to increased levels of fatigue later on as well as potential physical damage to the body if it was allowed to drag on for too long at such high levels. That meant they needed to make the best use of their power as quickly as possible to avoid potential backlash.

Another discovery Era made brought forth a realization that the form's so-called source, that spark of energy from deep within their bodies near their hearts... It wasn't the source at all. And while this realization seemed empty, it brought another realization all its own that Era had been looking for the source of the Super Saiyan power in all of the wrong places. That spark within her body... Within Val and Fae's bodies... It was just a spark of power which she now theorized was linked to their life energy. The spark which powered their hearts, if you will.

But the Super Saiyan form's true source of power remained unknown, and it proved just as elusive to Era's search as the reason why the form drained so much energy.

...

Their 50 days were up, and it was time to return home.

Era was first to walk out of the Void Room, and when she did it was as if they'd never gone in. The world had barely moved since they first entered, and yet she felt like a new woman after a lifetime of separation from the air she knew so well.

Taking in a deep breath of Metahnn air, she relished in returning home after what felt like such a long vacation... And it was time to show the world she loved so much just how far she, Valkyrie, and Fae were all willing to go to protect it.

After fifty days of training in void room Pyro had final able create what he called a "Ki Blade" around his arm. This was done by putting ki around his arm and flatting it and "sharping" it. There was lot more he believes he can do with it but that'll come from practicing with it. Once he left the chamber Pyro went to his ship and had his men set up some dummy to practice on. Seeing how deadly the move could be he choice not to use the most powerful form while training with the others. His men set up three dummies made of (insert name of hard alien metal) for Pyro. Pyro made the Ki Blade and with one clean slice he cut the three dummies in half with one clean cut. "Just as I thought. Quicky and deadly." Pyro said smirking.

After a few more tests Pyro moved on to other matters, resupply the ship with supplys to last a while. It wasn't hard at all really to secure the food, fuel, alcohol, and other important things needed. That took a day or two get the resources be prepared to go to his ship. After doing so he then went through dividing up the money for his personal spending, money to take care of the ship and keep it good, and money to give to his crew. Because unless you want a knife in your back it's best to pay your men.

After all that Pyro began doing one of his more favorite pass times, wine shopping. Sadly though the sayain didn't have any good wine, well any good wine to Pyro taste. After trying several types of "disgusting monkey p***" as he put it he gave up on buying wine from here and just hoped He would fine something good on the way to were ever there next destination was.

Era did something she hadn't had the chance to do for a long time... visit her parents.

She had managed to at least glimpse them after her defeat of the mad king, their faces being amongst the crowd when she was crowned as Queen of Metahnn. But afterwards she hadn't seen them at all and it weighed heavy on her that she had been away from home for so long.

Era flew through the skies at a leisurely clip, taking in the sights and relishing in how her Saiyan brethren were now safe and their society was pulling itself back together.

Restoration projects. United company events and shared revenue. Social groups and gatherings for negatively afflicted families from the recent times. Etc.

It was heartwarming for her to see it all as she flew overhead, but she remembered the real reason she was heading this direction and looked up in time to see it on the horizon.

Her parents lived in a modest home on a hill overlooking their neighborhood. It was the home she grew up in, and it looked the same on the outside as it always had since she left for her first Mission as a teenager.

"Has it really been that long?" She asked herself.

She floated down towards the house and landed a few paces away from the front door, but as she walked forward and reached for the doorknob... She hesitated.

This was her home, and yet she never felt like more of a stranger than she did right now.

But as her fingertip touched the doorknob, the door flew open and Era gasped a moment as she stared into the eyes of her mother for the first time in many years.

Both women were frozen in place, neither really able to speak or make any further moves. Her mother's eyes were moist, fighting back tears as she stared at her daughter. Era too was fighting back tears, and the lump in her throat made it hard to stop a sniffle that came through on her end.

But before either could begin to cry, Era's father appeared behind his wife... And he was already crying.

"... Father," she began.

She wasn't able to say more than that. Her mother rushed her, wrapping her arms around her daughter's shoulders as she began bawling out of pride, happiness, and relief to have her daughter home after the danger she put herself in to save their world.

Era couldn't hold back and began bawling as well as she embraced her mother. Her father joined them, and together they shared their tears of joy to finally be reunited after all these years.

After several minutes, they finally managed to get control of themselves enough to pull back and at least smile at each other. Era's mother kissed Era's cheek and hugged her again, welcoming her home as her father gave her a hug as well. Together her parents invited her inside, and they sat down and had numerous discussions about Era's adventures since she left as a teenager to become her own woman.

But the real discussion which Era was waiting for, and which she finally managed to push through for, was the conversation with her father about Valkyrie being her half sister. According to Era's father, it was a complicated matter.

Before he met Era's mother, her father had a consensual though casual relationship with Valkyrie's mother. The two of them had several nights of passion, and one of them resulted in Valkyrie's conception. That was just before he met Era's mother, fell in love, and devoted himself to her and their future family.

Very conveniently, shortly before Era's father changed focus, Valkyrie's mother had received a notice of interest from the Urzen family that the heir was seeking her affection. This was well timed, as it gave both of them the reason they needed to part ways, and on good terms. Though they wouldn't speak again for several years, Valkyrie's mother and Era's father remained good friends with one another over time.

Thus Valkyrie was born a year ahead of Era, and together they chose not to tell the children of their lineage as they knew it would cause problems not only between the two of them, but between their families. So when Era told her father that Valkyrie had accepted her as her sister and that their relationship was stronger than ever, he was incredibly relieved.

But there was one last thing that both Era's mother and father wanted... They wanted to see her transform.

Era decided it was okay to show them her Super Saiyan form, but not in the house. Together they walked outside into the backyard, and Era took a few steps away to give herself some room as she turned to face her parents.

Both of them were on edge, proud, and excited all at the same time to see this.

Era closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and then transformed. No fanfare. No yelling or powering up. One moment she was normal, the next her body exploded in golden light as her hair and tail changed color. When Era opened her eyes, they were a deep turquoise coloration.

The aura disappeared, but Era remained in her Super Saiyan form demonstrating her control over the form's power. Normally the aura was a constant and couldn't be "turned off" like a normal aura could under most circumstances. The form exerted so much power that it was incredibly difficult to prevent the aura from appearing, but Era, being the prodigy she was, found a way. She had also taught Fae and Valkyrie how to do it which helped all three of them preserve stamina and remain in the form longer.

But that was hardly important right now. What was important was her parent's reaction to seeing their daughter, their baby, transform into a legend right in front of their eyes.

To say they were emotional was an understatement, and both of them looked her over from head to toe. Her mother stroked her hair, brushed her tail with her fingertips, and looked deep into Era's turquoise eyes.

When both of them had seen what they needed to see, Era powered down and they all went back inside to talk about the form. They wanted to know how it felt. What it was like. And how it was that Era transformed in the first place.

After explaining everything, Era's father had a few things to say.

"Era, I couldn't be more proud of you for who and what you have become... But, to be honest... Something about the Super Saiyan power has me concerned." He said.

"What do you mean?" She asked.

"I noticed that when you transformed your eyebrows were furrowed the whole time. You were smiling. But at the same time you couldn't release the tension that came with the power of the form... You haven't forgotten what I taught you when you were younger, did you?" He asked.

"No, I haven't." She replied.

"Then what did I tell you about the link between power and tension?" He asked.

"You taught me that the more power you exert, the more tense your body becomes as a result. When powering up, it's near impossible to remain calm and poised. The power triggers adrenaline and causes you to enter the fight mode from fight or flight, and-"

"No, Era. That's not what I am asking you. I'm making what I taught you about the link between them. There's a difference between the philosophical link and the known scientific causality. So don't tell me about the causality. Tell me about the philosophical side."

Era was caught off guard, and couldn't reply right away. She had to take a moment to think back on what he'd taught her but she couldn't recall his words.

"I... I can't remember that part." She said quietly.

Her father nodded.

"Then it's time to re-familiarize you with it." He said, clearing his throat.

Era looked to her father in much the same way she did when she was a child; expectantly and with great curiosity.

"Philosophically, not literally, I believe there are two types of Ki in the Saiyan body. The first is called Relaxed Ki, and the second is called Tense Ki. Relaxed Ki is the type of Ki your body produces naturally. The kind produced and maintained as you sit there watching and listening to me." He said, noting Era's posture and relaxation.

"Tense Ki is the type that we unleash when in heavy combat. It's the Ki which we draw from deep inside to fully empower ourselves and thus fight at our full potential against powerful enemies. But because our bodies become tense when gathering and using this Ki, the Ki doesn't flow as well which is why it takes longer to gather the Ki in the first place. If we Saiyans collectively learned how to relax fully, we'd never have to waist time powering up. We'd just be able to instantly achieve our maximum power at a moment's notice... Does that make sense?" He asked.

Era was surprised and impressed as she nodded in response. All these years away learning and perfecting many of his practices and lessons, and yet he was still taking her to school.

"Good... Because it seems to me that, right now at least, your Super Saiyan form is relying on 100% Tense Ki. While in the form, you are unable to relax. This not only makes the transformation more difficult to maintain and control, but it also limits your fighting capabilities since your body is not as relaxed and reactive as it should be otherwise."

Era's eyes opened a bit wider.

"... Do you understand what I'm saying, Era?" He asked.

Era slowly nodded as a realization dawned on her.

"If you understand, then let's go outside and have you transform again."

"Dear, is this really the time for training?" Era's mother asked.

"It's always time for training. You know that."

She sighed and shook her head, smiling as she left the room to continue her daily activities while Era and her father went outside to test whether Era truly understood what he was talking about.

Era elected to sit down for this, and she took slow, deep breaths as she gathered her focus and visualized her transformation and how she'd control her Ki to make the most of what her father had just told her.

"Take it slow Era." He said quietly.

She took a few more breaths.

"Breathe deep, and feel the power of the transformation... But don't transform. Just feel it out."

Era created in her mind the feeling of being in her Super Saiyan form as she sat quietly. The feelings of power. The feelings of the warmth and the enormous Ki flowing through her body. The elation of it all. She recreated all of it in her mind, having become intimately familiar with those sensations during her time in the Void Room.

"... I can see your body beginning to tense, Era. Calm yourself." He said.

Era took a few breaths and relaxed her body.

Just thinking about the form was bringing tension which was something she hadn't expected. Had her father not been there, she'd not have realized that she was beginning to tense and this entire exercise would have been pointless.

A few more breaths, and Era held the mental sensations and feelings of what it felt like being a Super Saiyan.

"........... You're tensing again."

Era breathed a bit deeper and did her best to relax.

Almost an hour of this passed by with her father there checking on her physical status as she continued holding the mental sensations and feelings, but progress was painfully slow. In fact, she barely made any at all.

When the hour was up, her father called an end to the training for the day and had her come back inside for dinner. After they ate, Era elected to stay with them in her old room for a few nights. It would be good to stay here for a while and enjoy her parent's company after all these years. That, and she wanted to keep training with him.

It didn't seem to matter how old she became or how much she progressed... Her father had more to teach her.

Valkyrie left the Void Room shortly after Era did, and she too had the same thought of visiting family on her mind.

Despite having come back to the planet once or twice in the past few years, she hadn't actually come home for many, many years. Not since she became a member of Commander Korvaiis' team. She wanted to see her father and mother. She wanted to visit the home she bought for herself and rest. And she wanted to visit old friends and talk with them about times past, present, and possibly the future.

Valkyrie first visited her parent's home where she, much like Era, had a rather emotional reunion with her mother. While Valkyrie's father was less emotional, being the kind of man he was, he was overjoyed to see her return and was eager to hear of her adventures and to see her Super Saiyan power for himself. Valkyrie obliged, much like Era did, transforming for her parents and letting them observe and analyze the form as long as they liked before powering down and relaxing with them for several hours.

And, much like Era's father, Valkyrie's father had something to say about the form...

"Valkyrie... As proud as I am of you for reaching the Super Saiyan form, I have to say that there is something about it I am... Well... Nervous about." He said.

"Nervous, father?" She inquired.

"Yes. Nervous." He replied.

"Why?" She asked in return.

"I-... I don't really even know myself 'why'. I only know that I do. When you transformed, I was astounded. But more than that I was intimidated by it, and not in any kind of a 'good' way. Something about the transformation felt off to me. When you initiated it, I felt... something dark about it. Something almost malignant." He said.

Valkyrie was rather shocked by this, as she'd never sensed anything like that before. She'd seen Era and Fae transform plenty of times in the Void, and she had transformed plenty of times herself.

Why did none of them seem to feel this or acknowledge it openly if they did?

"Valkyrie. Be careful. The power of the Super Saiyan is a Legendary power for a reason, and I'm starting to understand more the depths of the Legends when they say "From darkness shall rise the golden light of the Super Saiyan". I thought it was metaphorical, but it appears to have been far more than that. It seems to me-... No. It feels to me, like this is a much more literal message. There's something dark about the Super Saiyan power. Something wicked. Something which I cannot accurately describe or qualify." He said.

Valkyrie took this all in and was growing rather concerned about the form herself now that this kind of information was being brought to her attention. She'd be on the lookout for it now.

"Valkyrie. As much as you can, refrain from using that form. If it cannot be avoided, then use it to its fullest. But if you don't have to use it, don't. I am worried that if you use it too often, or if you cannot discover the origins of this dark feeling I get from it, that it will eventually consume you." He warned.

She nodded slowly.

"I'll take that to heart father. Thank you." She said quietly.

After embracing her father, she departed to rest at her own private home in the mountains. She needed a good night's sleep in a familiar bed which was truly 100% her own after all the years of sleeping wherever her missions took her.

D. Rex D. Rex ChazGhost ChazGhost

On their first day resting at home, both Era and Valkyrie received something far better than any gift or piece of advice from their fathers.

They got a good night's sleep.

It was a first in a long time for both women. They'd been feeling the pressure of the Darkhoods and Omnizwart for what felt like an eternity, and neither of them had gotten a truly good night's rest. But being home on Metahnn and being able to sleep in their own beds gave them the comfort of home they'd been missing. They slept soundly that night, waking late in the afternoon the next day before contacting one another and sharing their collected information about the Super Saiyan form and the darkness within.

Neither of them knew how it was possible for the three of them to take to the form without ever sensing this darkness.

... Perhaps it was arrogance. Perhaps it was simple because the power of the form masked this darkness from them. Perhaps it was the overwhelmingly positive feeling they got just from taking to the form.

They didn't know the answer.

Whatever the reason, the power of the Super Saiyan was something they had both found new respect for.

Having shared their information, Era now knew that the darkness of the form was a present danger. And Valkyrie as well now knew that the form ran on tense energy which was why it drained them so heavily of their stamina. But even with sharing this information they were no closer to finding a solution to their problem. They wracked their brains for hours passing ideas back and forth about how to master the form and negate the stamina drain, but no matter what they tried they couldn't get anything to stick. Every time they thought they found something that worked, it was temporary.

By the end of the day, the form still drained them of their stamina at a rapid pace.

... However.

Later that evening Era returned home to sleep it off, as Valkyrie had already given her faith and confidence that Era would be the one to find the answer with another day or two of thinking and rest.

But Valkyrie herself stayed up a bit later than usual thinking about the form herself. It was impossible not to think about it. It ate away at her mind every waking moment of the day and night. As the sun set Valkyrie sat alone outside under the moonlight while the sky above turned a deep violet. Its expanse filling with millions upon millions of tiny white dots of reflected light from stars and planets across the galaxy.

She closed her eyes, slowed her breathing, and let the memory of her father's words echo...

... Be careful...

... I felt... Something dark about it...

... Something malignant...

The oldest version of the legend of the Super Saiyan was one the Elite families of the planet held tight to and passed on from generation to generation.

"From darkness shall the weight of failure bring rise to greatness. The night shall turn to day. Time will invert. Space will distort. And the stars shall dim as the world basks in the light of the Gods. Behold the dawn of true and infinite power... The darkness shall give rise to the golden light of the Super Saiyan."

Every Elite family knew this tale, and as Valkyrie poured over the words thinking about her father felt it was a literal message instead of a metaphorical one she began thinking that neither she nor Era understood the form at all. In fact she now felt certain that it was the opposite. The more they "figured out", the further from the truth they had drifted.

"From darkness shall the weight of failure bring rise to greatness..."

... That was the failure to protect Era and the others which caused her to transform.

"The night shall turn to day..."

... That was the brilliance of the transformation itself. Pyro said as much that when she transformed it was as if a new star was born on the surface of the planet.

"Time will invert."

... That had to be the feeling she received when she first transformed. There was a feeling of rebirth. Renewal... Reversal. Like she had been turned back into a fetus in her mother's womb being born anew.

"Space will distort."

... That one was more complicated, but Valkyrie had a feeling it meant what it said. Space distorted around her when she transformed for the first time. It was minuscule, but Elprede's sensors had confirmed that there were subtle distortions in the space around her wen she became a Super Saiyan due to the pressure of her Ki.

"And the stars shall dim as the world basks in the light of the Gods."

... That part must have been referencing the original Super Saiyan and the fact that he was on par with the Gods, and that this gift of the Super Saiyan transformation was his way of passing on that power to future generations of Saiyans that they too may seek the light.

"Behold the dawn of true and infinite power."

... Again, a reference to their infinite potential. A reference to the fact that someday, if they pushed hard enough... They could become equals to the Gods.

"The darkness shall give rise to the golden light of the Super Saiyan."

... The presence of evil gives rise to the power of the Super Saiyan. Era's death, brought about by the Darkhood Captain known as Death, was proof of that. Valkyrie only transformed because a malignant being killed someone she loved.

Her anger. Her hatred. Her fear. Her suppressed envy.

Everything negative brought forth the transformation. Keyword: "Negative".

Valkyrie slowly opened her eyes and looked up at the moon.

It was half full. Something fairly common for Valkyrie. Somehow she always looked at the moon when it was half full, and that was about it. She rarely ever saw it when it was full. And she saw it even less when it was new or a crescent.

Something about the moon calmed her down despite the chaos running through her mind. That beautiful, tranquil, half-full moon staring down at her from above. She almost wondered why it was that the Super Saiyan form was...

...

...

... Wait.

...

...

... That was it. It had to be!!

Valkyrie stood up immediately, her eyes wide with hope that the thought which ran through her mind just now would prove to be true. It had to be!

She immediately banished all negativity from her mind and her heart. She thought of only the good things in her life. Era. Fae. Even Pyro and his annoying crew. Her family. Her comrades and friends. Her home. Her pets when she was young. Everything that had ever brought joy to her life she pushed forward in her mind and embraced with all the power she had.

With those thoughts held firmly in place, Valkyrie began to transform. She relaxed her body. Relaxed her mind. And let her joyful memories and loved ones fill her heart.

She felt warm. Warmer than ever before. But it was not the same as it used to be. The warmth of the transformation usually brought with it a sense of pain. But not this time. As her aura began flashing from red to gold her body found itself under no duress whatsoever. She was perfectly at ease. Perfectly at peace... Perfectly content.

Valkyrie's body erupted with golden light forcing her hair to spike out and back with a single long bang over her forehead. Her Super Saiyan power felt as strong as it always had, yet there was something new about it. A new feeling. A new sensation. It was as if it was an entirely different transformation. One born of her love and passion for the good things in her life.

She opened her eyes and looked down at her hands, gently opening and closing them with a soft, beautiful smile. And then she walked over to her pond where a few of her fish imported from Earth swam about catching bugs on the surface. The light drove the bugs away, but even her pulsating aura did little to disturb the water's surface.

Her reflection stared back at her, and in her face she saw total tranquility. In fact, even Valkyrie felt she looked beautiful staring into the eyes of her reflection as she smiled down at it.

She stood up and let out a deep breath through her nose as she this new feeling wash over her.

For once in her life, she had accomplished something even Era couldn't figure out. Something Era couldn't do. Now, for the first time ever, she had done the seemingly impossible by reversing the feelings which drove the transformation in the first place. She felt more empowered and capable than she'd ever felt before, and she knew that tomorrow she'd be sharing this information with both Faeora and Era. They needed to know. They needed to understand it. Feel it. Live it. And... Most importantly... Love it.

Their Super Saiyan form had been born of anger and anguish, but it would be reborn as they were in the warmth of joy and hope.

The Super Saiyan form had just been reinvented by Valkyrie Urzen.

The days of training of first becoming a super saiyan went by in a flash, it seemed. Faeor a had applied herself to training with a new vigor. Eager to test her limits. Her desire to catch up being rekindled tenfold. As it was now in reach. Tantalizingly close. And for the first time. For the first time ever. Fae finally felt like she was on a level ground with them. No... that wasn't entirely true. They still had more experience with the forms than she... but that did not matter as much as it used to. In two days sooner time than they, did Fae push herself to the limits of her super saiyan form. To her credit, her experience in pushing her body with the yoseishin, and using it to grow stronger helped immensely in getting a handle on powering up with this form. Making achieving the bulky form of the super saiyans seem like child's play... and stabilizing it with ease thanks to experience with the internal flow of ki. Much of her training focused not on what she could do with her power... but how it flowed through her and how different it was than before. To understand herself once more now that she had changed. To find every limit she could. Cool new techniques and fancy moves mattered nothing to Fae, if she could not master herself first. One of the biggest changes... was that performing the Yoseishin while super saiyan was not so easy of a task. It tended to yield explosive results... which ended badly on her part. It was to be expected, given the massive change of ki flow. It would take more practice to adapt.

Still... Fae didn't go back to her old self afterwards, like might have been suspected. Sure, becoming a super saiyan was a massive boost to her moral... but what it took to get there left it's own mark. Just like Valkyrie would never forget Korvaiis death, and Era would never forget.... that... Fae would not be able to forget this. Compared to them... it was petty. And Fae would be lying if she said she wasn't ashamed by it. But even they might noticed she seemed a bit more reserved than before. Going into seclusion a little more often than she used to. A bit more often than usual, she tended to get a little salty, even towards Pyro who she was normally pretty civil and playful with. Among other things. Faeora hid it well, but to the observant, there was no doubt it that what happened to her wasn't something that she was able to brush off that easily. Even if to them... all that she went through was just harmless words.

When the day came, and they stepped out of the ship. Faeora watched everyone fly off. Pyro, Era, and Valkyrie. Rather than fly off as soon as she reached the lamp... she cast her eyes downward. Looking at the grass. She thought she would be excited... in her mind she had played it up so much of what she would do if she got super saiyan. That she would finally be able to show everyone who ever doubted her that she was somebody. Thay she was stronger than them. She wanted to humiliate them and put them all in their place.

But now... now that she could... apprehension filled her body to its core. Her pride having took a greater hit than she first realized. She could do all of that and more. Yet she felt a sense of shame. What was there to be proud of being so petty like some sort of child wanting revenge on the schoolyard? Was it not so cheap to have this power now? What about her would make her think that she earned it? Era saved the planet... she was worthy of their respect. Valkyrie did something similar. Breaking new ground where none had before... but Fae... just coming home and demanding respect. Demanding superiority and that people bend knee to her just because she was stronger. How would thay make her any different in their eyes than the mad King...

With a heavy sigh... Faeora raised slowly from the ground. She didn't understand why this burden was still there... why it didn't leave her behind when she had finally gotten what she wanted. Part of her wished desperately for her brothers wisdom... but before that... she had one matter that needed to be taken care of first.

Her father.

(Ran out of time! Will add more to her events tomorrow!)

Minutes later, the short landed in the courtyard of the Faerari Family complex. And to her surprise, there were faces there to greet her. But to her displeasure... it was not just her brother. Her father and her mother were both there, standing in front of an archway that lead to the entrance of the tradition saiyan architecture. Off to the side, her three brothers stood. Standing aside one each other.

As her feet touched the ground. She felt a pressure weigh down on her. She had not been expecting them to be here... in her mind she had partly expected to storm her own household, kick down the door... and let her anger carry her through the hard work of doing what she needed to do. Though it seemed... her father had chose deny her the ease of her plans. How he knew... she couldn't fathom. Yet here everyone was... not just her father.

She could feel the weight of their eyes all boring into her. It was all she could do to take steps forward... somehow feeling fear. And she didn't know why. The saiyan would push onwards anyway. There were no smiles. Everyone's face held a serious tone. Especially that of her fathers... whoshe gaze even now penetrated her very being.

Coming to a halt in front of her parents, only a few feet away. While Faeora was only slightly shorter than her mother, Tory... her father, Whig, towered over her. Like an ominous mountain. Through sheer force of will she stared up at him, trying to keep the defiant look on her face.

He remained silent.

So did she.

For nigh on three minutes was there nothing but silence until Faeora finally brought herself to open her mouth to speak... as soon as she did, Whig raised a hand, and Faeora instinctively closed it.

"You want to take the reigns of this family into your own hands. And prove to us that you are stronger. Do you not?" Whig said in a stern deep tone.

Faeora felt a deep pit sink in her stomach. But she spoke. "Yes. I do. And you will-"

She was silence by another gesture. "I will not give it to you. Neither the family, nor the proof."

"What?" Fae started, aghast at first. But annoyance quickly flashed across her face."What makes you think you can keep me from it?" She retorted, though almost immediately regretted it.

"Because you can not handle it. You think you are strong? You aren't. You are the same runt of a daughter I had before you left on the mission with Faero."

"I am stronger than all of you combined!" Fae said angrily. How could he of all people say that? If there was one thing her father respected, it was power. Her tone starting to get heated. "While you-"

Again, silenced by a gesture. Faeora gritted her teeth. Grinding them against each other at how easily her did that."If you believe yourself above me, then show me now. I will give you neither this family or the satisfaction of humoring you. If you wish to act like the prior King, then you must break me first. If you wish to know what power is then I will show you personally. If desire to be where I stand, then you had best prepare to take it from me. You will not have it otherwise." He said with a stout defiance that stabbed at Fae in the chest as he powered up to his max in an instant. Tory being wise, made distance between herself and her husband.

Like the prior king... that statement hurt Fae only a little less than her father not even hinting that she had grown. His power... it was nothing compared to her. Her father would not be able to even touch her if she decided not to let him. Despite all this... this still somehow managed to intimidate her slightly. Even after all she had put up with to get here.

She powered up to full. Eclipsing her father's power with her own. Faeora stared him down but he gave no sign of hesitation. He was not impressed. No one seemed to be. This stung. How could they not be? Even after all she did to get this far.

Anger flashed across, she hated this. This feeling. She wanted his approval... not... this. Not whatever this was. Even now she could feel him looking down his nose at Her. "I am a super saiyan. I-"

"So you say. Is that all? Is that your power?" He barked angrily. Cutting her off. Whig took steps forward. Braving closer despite the immense pressure of her ki. Until he was inches away from her. Faeora could actually see the strain the old man was going through to stand there in front of her. "If you are anything but a Faerari first, then you are not worthy. Leave the premises. And leave my name here."

"
I hate your name!"
She shouted in his face. Her aura flared rashly, sending a visibly wave of pain across Whigs face. But she didn't care, the fact that he even mentioned it reminded her of the reason she was here in the first place her name. All the grief that having it had given her over the years because she could not live up to it. But the only thing she ever had to hold onto to make herself feel like she mattered. Saying that aloud... it felt wrong to her.

Whig was silent... so was Fae. "Then why do you wish to be the one to carry everything that it means?"

Fae opened her mouth to yell but couldn't bring herself to answer. Her anger just sort of faded. She couldn't bring herself to say anything... none of this made any sense to her. "Because... I want it too..." She would say finally. Oh how weak that sounded to her ears. Her father was making a fool out of her. She was acting like a child. Even her own arguments sounded weak and hollow to her ears, and she was the one who had gotten flustered enough to even say these things.

Yet. Something seemed to change in Whig eyes and tone. She didn't know what it was... but it didn't seem to take on the feel of his usual disappointed stare. "I see."

"If it is not yours by now. And you want it. I will not give it to you. You say you have the power. Then show me. But this. What you have now is nothing."

Whig stepped backwards a few steps before putting his arms out. Leaving himself fully open. "If you want the name, Faeora, then you will take it from me and make it your own. All the power of the super saiyan, all the power of the gods. It all pales in comparison to the strength required to hold onto it. But you know this already."

(Made small edit to prior post. Faeora isn't super saiyan right now.)

Faeora clenched a fist as her father stared her down. One punch. One slap. One poke. That is all it would take to put him on the ground a broken man. The worst part was that she knew her father knew this. How could he not? But here he stood challenging her... none in the Faerari Family did so to challenge the King. Yes, they helped against him... but why now did he show such resistance against his own flesh and blood?

His challenge... that he was even going this far to goad her. It really hurt. And it made her angry. Because right now she wanted nothing more than to take him down a hundred pegs. And make him hurt for all the bad memories he put her through. But... that would just be giving him what he wanted... to do as he asked. It wasn't a bluff. She knew her father well enough to know that he was serious a out this challenge and wouldn't relent. She always did as her father wanted... this time wouldn't likely be any different...

No... no. It could be different. It would be different. She had the power now to make it different. That is what she would do. Make her own decision this time.

"What are you waiting for? Challen-"

"
NO!"
She interrupted with an angry shout, the force of which sent a ripple of pressure across the compound.

"No... I'm not going to. All these years... all of this time. Father, I wanted nothing more than to make you proud. To be on your eyes like my brothers. I tried so hard. I tried so very hard. I gave everything of my body, everything I could to be strong like you wanted me to be. You never believed in me, nobody did. Nobody even knows me. I was like dust swept under the rug. Even still... I held myself to the standards you put in place. Everything I did was to try and bring pride to my family name. I took pride in it. And I wanted to be like the rest of you."

"But... even now. I may not have done much... but I came back to try and help the planet. Finally, I have reached heights that I never have. And am one of the strongest saiyans on this planet. I am strong. Just like you wanted me to be!"
She shouted angrily.

"But you still can't bring yourself to look at me... you still see me as weak. As a runt. I could destroy you with one breath. How can you not be proud? I see it now though. You hate me. You don't see me as a daughter. Just as some low class saiyan piece of meat that has no place in your clan..."

"Well I you are right. I have no place here. You are not my family. You are not my father. The only thing you have made me realize is that my name... your name... is worthless. If I can't fit in now, I never will. I don't want your name anymore. Keep it. I spit on it."

Fae's face was quite red, and it wasn't just from anger and frustration, but she was also really sad. She was holding back tears, actually.

Her father, Whig, remained silent. Lowering her arms as she spoke. His face, however, remained stoic as it usually did.

"I had come to try and become like you. To be like all of you. But i have changed my mind. I don't want to be a part of this family anymore. And I will not be. I am not going to be a Faerari anymore. I will not be a disappointing daughter or sister anymore. I will no longer be a burden or a faux elite. And I will not become a tool. Strike my name from the tree. I will not be associated with you anymore."

"Goodbye, Whig. Goodbye, Tory."

She did not wait for a response she couldn't get away fast enough. Crushing the ground around her, she left a crater in the courtyard as she flew off. Leaving behind nothing but a green streak.

Her family stood there dumbfounded. This... wasn't what they were expecting. Except for maybe Faero, but it came to as a little bit of surprise to even him that she cast off her name and ties.

Tory approached Whig, setting a concerned hand on his arm, he however brushed it off as he looked into the distance after Faeora. He said nothing. Just turned abruptly and began walking inside.

Tory frowned and shot her glance over at Faero. She jerked her head towards where Faeora left, motioning him to go after her. With a nod, Faero took flight. To try and catch up with her.

(Sending this now in case I do not have time to finish the next part)

Faeora was flying fast. Tears flowed openly now. It was a strange feeling. Her body tingled. She felt so light. As if an entire world was lifted off her shoulders. She didn't regret it. She couldnt. She already made her decision. But it still hurt. Physically hurt. Like a knife to the chest. That she couldn't even find solace among her own family. And that she had nothing any more. She just wanted... she just wanted a little recognition.

She didn't know where she was going. She didn't realize it anyway... not until she found herself slowing down. Faeora came to stop... hovering in the air above Era's home. Funny... this is where she had come without thinking. No, it wasn't funny. Era was more family than the Faerari's had ever been. Even in the short of time... so was Val, and even Pyro and his crew. She felt a part of something there. Yes, they didn't always get along. But among them she actually felt like she belonged.

Fae lowered herself to the ground. Her eyes and face were red, she planned to walk the rest of the short distance there. She could see the home, but, Fae just wanted to compose herself before she did. So it didn't so obviously look like she had cried a bit.

It wasn't but a few steps that she paused and looked to the sky. She sensed Faero's energy signature. He had followed and landed in front of her. Like always, he somehow managed to remain cool and collected, but his eyes were soft and made her want to start crying again. She loved him. He was rough sometimes... he had pushed her hard. But she never doubted that he loved her too. He believed in her. And now... he wasn't her brother anymore.

He didn't say anything at first, instead he stepped forward, and wrapped an arm around her. Hugging her against him. And Fae fell into him without resistance. Her tears flowing freely now, she sobbed into his chest. Faero let her. Even with one arm, Fae felt his embrace in earnest.

Minutes passed, until the tears stopped, Fae slowly calming down. He looked down at her, and asked her. Not about her decision or what she would do next or about Whig, but to tell him all that happened while she was in the training chamber. To talk about herself.

So they sat down on the side of the road, sitting close beside each other, and Faeora told him everything. How she trained. How it was like there. Her thoughts and even how she felt when being tormented by Era and Val. Everything, sparing all the details she could remember.

It was... oddly comforting. Talking about herself for a change to someone who sincerely wanted to know and actually cared.Talkino about her emotions and what bothered her. Stuff she normally bottled up pretty tightly. And he listened with rapt attention.

When she finished, her face wasn't red anymore, and her tail was notably less tensed.

"That sounds like something else. But here you are. A super saiyan. Does it still hurt to think about?" Faero asked his sister.

Faeora nodded.

Faero chuckled, "I should expect as much. They really did a number on you to get you to change. Part of me is glad that is something I won't get to experience. No, I don't expect that feeling would be something that would just be so easily forgotten. I'd imagine that is something that would stick with you forever."

Faeora was hardly that amused, "Well, I find it shameful." She said, with a bit of indignation to her voice.

"Why is that?"

"Because... it's so petty. I was weak. Valkyrie... she lost somebody close to her. And Era, she witnessed a tragedy happen to a friend... me? I got mad because they were mean to me..."

Faero actually laughed."The tragedy? You mean when you raped a super saiyan against his will? That was no mean feat. I think you underestimate how brave of you that was. No one else was had the courage to even look at him. But you went right up to him and challenged him."

Faeoras face went a hundred shades of Crimson as she mentioned that, let alone put it like that. But... still part of her was grateful at how lightheartedly he mentioned it. Respecting her choice to do so. And understanding it. "Sh-shut up! I don't want to talk about that!"

Faero nodded with a smile and looked at the sky, "Regardless... do you know what that tells me? About how you transformed? That you really are as tough as you like to say. That not even the King could break you. Nothing did. And I would wager that nothing would. The only thing that was capable of breaking you was yourself. And even then look at how long you held up."

"But Era fooled you good. Expertly. Turning your sights onto yourself. Taking everything from you and making it look like it was your fault. Making herself appear so superior to you that even you believed it. Yes. She is a genius, and very skilled. With more natural ability than you, and a thousand times prettier." He said as he looked over at her.

Faeora frowned,"Gee... thanks...You aren't exactly helping me feel better you know... and yeah. She is superior. She tore me apart... everything I did was worthless. And she showed me how much..." For his sake, she didn't go into the remarks of how she was prettier. That was a sore spot that Fae didn't want to dwell on at the moment.

Faero smiled gently,"Do you really think that? She was bluffing, you know. You are forgetting that she was going full power against you. Of course nothing you did worked against her. Of course she broke your anchor. Anybody could have. And your demolition fist? It wouldn't have done anything but tickle her if she hadn't blocked it. Your ki wasn't matching hers. Everything she said was goading you into beating yourself up."

"Come on, can you honestly say now, going toe to toe with her as a super saiyan that she would not take those techniques seriously? Of course she would. The anchor scales with your ki and power. I know, because it's mine. You didn't have enough ki to spread about to match the strength she used to break it. And before you say it... no. She didn't steal your move. That wasn't the ki anchor she used. It was more of a protective shell. A scant, albeit impressive, imitation. It takes more practice than that to manipulate your ki like you do. And your demolition fist? Well. I would wager that she would be counting you to remember that instance and not use it against her if you all spar again. I doubt she would be as eager to try and block it like that again."

"Look, Fae, you really are strong. And you are an incredibly skilled fighter. You have worked hard for your skill, and you have earned every bit of it. It was always ahead of your power level, and your age. All because you worked harder than everyone else. You have been on the bottom rung so long that you can't imagine yourself as being on par with them. This isn't a bad thing... because if anyone knows how to fight against people stronger than themselves. It's you. But more than that... you will always see yourself as weaker. And will go to lengths to find excuses to make that claim. This is a weakness, because you will always doubt yourself. And you will falter because of it. Where you are now, you need to start having confidence in yourself. And you need to start believing that you are capable of doing anything. Don't make excuses, just do. You will start seeing a change. I know, as loud mouthed and stubborn as you are... you are quite the humble girl. But now. Take pride. Because you deserve it. You have shown yourself that there is nothing left holding you back."

"As for you leaving. I will miss you. But perhaps it will be for the best. I will take care of the Faerari family. But you, you go and be yourself for a change. Besides, they need you. So go them how strong you are, show them that you have the skill to match theirs. Show them that being on even terms with them just gives you the advantage. Go make them proud, for having someone like you there to support them. You got heart. And unbreaking spirit. I worry about Era and Val, but with you there with them, I know you will be steadfast for all of them. Not only being strong for them, but helping them stay strong. And Pyro, well I'm sure you will give him plenty of reason to stick around. And now that you are right there beside them. You go show them how to really push onwards. And give them a reason to catch up to you for a change. Let them know how it feels." He said with a wink.

Faeora smiled softly, feeling a lot better at his words. "I will miss you too... thank you."

Faero nodded, "Alright. I should be going. And look, I don't care how much you deny it. But you will still be my sister. If you ever need me, just give me a call. And don't worry about Father, I will keep him in check. You are not the only one who has been getting stronger."

With that said, they both parted ways after sharing a few words of goodbye. Faero went back home. While Faeora, while still a bit disheartened from leaving behind everythino she knew, was feeling much more confident in her decision. And was sure, now more than ever, that she could go even further. That she could break through whatever limits laid before her.

And with those thoughts... the now only slightly pitiful looking Faeora approached Era's home. Looking for a place to spend the night.

As Fae approached Era's door, it opened without her laying so much as a finger on it. And there stood Era with a calm and gentle smile on her face.

"Hi Fae," she said softly.

"I felt your energy approaching and was going to come out to greet you. But then I felt Faero's energy catching up and felt I should wait a bit. Turns out I was right since I peeked out the window enough to see him give you a hug... You seem to be having a bit of a rough day, yeah?" She asked.

It didn't take much to confirm that.

"Come on in Fae... I am almost done preparing dinner if you'd care to stay for a bite." She said, ushering Fae inside.

The two of them didn't have all that much to say to each other. Not much need. Fae's expression and her seeming sadness and exhaustion told the tale just fine, but eventually Era was able to get it out of her that she had abandoned the Faerari name and came here looking to spend the night.

"You know you're always welcome here, Fae. I'll grab the spare bed from storage and help you set it up." She said.

And so Fae spent the night over at Era's home, sleeping about as soundly as could be expected after what she'd gone through today with her family. But the next morning they both received a bit of a surprise when Valkyrie arrived without warning ranting about having made a HUGE discovery about their Super Saiyan power.

Val brought them outside to Era's backyard and began explaining things to them... Rather excitedly which was unusual for Val.

"Okay, so my father told me that the Super Saiyan form as we all know it right now relies on negative emotions to trigger and fuel the transformation. Era's father said that it relies on a form of Tense Ki which is why it drains us of stamina so rapidly... Well after a bit of thinking, I finally figured out how to overcome both of those problems!!" She said with great enthusiasm.

Era was happy that Val figured it out, but rather shocked to see her this excited. It was almost as if Val was a child eager to share a story about a new toy or something.

"So here it goes. The old legend is one my father said was literal, not figurative. "From darkness shall the weight of failure bring rise to greatness. The night shall turn to day. Time will invert. Space will distort. And the stars shall dim as the world basks in the light of the Gods. Behold the dawn of true and infinite power... The darkness shall give rise to the golden light of the Super Saiyan." We all know the legend." She began.

""From darkness shall the weight of failure bring rise to greatness" is talking about a trigger, and how our failures drove us to transform in the first place. My failure to protect Era was my trigger. "The night shall turn to day" is referencing how our transformations yield blinding levels of light at the moment of our ascension. "Time will invert" is the feeling I had of rebirth. When I transformed for the first time it felt like I was but a babe in my mother's womb all over again. Like I was suddenly re-experiecing being born. "Space will distort" must be talking about how our power is great enough at the moment of transformation to bend space, which it did. According to Jasmine, Elprede's AI, when I transformed for the first time there were subtle disturbances in the space around me due to the pressure of my Ki. "And the stars shall dim as the world basks in the light of the Gods"... That's talking about the original Super Saiyan and how his power was on par with the Gods."

Val finally took a moment to breathe, having spat almost all of that out in a single breath.

""Behold the dawn of true and infinite power" is a reference to how our power now grows without end, simply enough... But it's the last part that got me thinking... "The darkness shall give rise to the golden light of the Super Saiyan". That thought gave me an epiphany. If "darkness" could give rise to the golden light of our Super Saiyan forms, why not also the light? So I sat down and meditated on the Super Saiyan power. What the Ki feels like. What my body feels like. And then, rather than letting the past trigger the transformation, I began thinking about you two and my family. All my friends an loved ones here whom I fight to protect. As corny as it sounds, I let my happiest moments fill my mind and I felt a change in my Ki. When I transformed, I was completely at ease. No tension. No anger. No negativity..."

Valkyrie took a step away from Fae and Era, and transformed.

Sure enough when she did so her body was completely at ease with not a single sign of tension to be found anywhere. Even her face which the Super Saiyan form usually forced into a frown was relaxed and, amazingly, Valkyrie was smiling. A pure and gentle smile which made her look absolutely beautiful amidst her golden aura which was softly and gently flowing about her. The usual pressure of the Ki from her Super Saiyan form was also gone which allowed Era and Fae to stand there without needing to step back or power up to remain close.

It was... breathtaking.

"Try it you two. Just meditate for a moment on your happiest memories and let them fill your mind. Then, transform." She said warmly.

Era was still awestruck at how beautiful Valkyrie looked while smiling like that in her Super Saiyan form. She almost forgot to breathe. When she finally composed herself and took in what Valkyrie was saying, she took a step back and closed her eyes.

There were plenty of happy memories in her mind, but none so great as the moment when Valkyrie accepted her as her sister. That moment brought more joy to Era's life than any other, and so Era let that memory and the feeling it gave her fill her mind and heart as she began powering up to transform... However the memory of her own death and the feeling it gave Elprede began to creep in, forcing Era to calm herself down and force that memory out. She refocused on the memory of Val accepting her as her sister and continued to power up and transform, and before long she had done it.

Era's body erupted in golden Ki as her hair and tail changed colors signaling her transformation in full. As Era opened her eyes and looked down at herself and the feeling of tranquillity she was now experiencing, it nearly brought tears to her eyes.

Previously, when transforming, there came a sense of emptiness and agony. A sense of internalized pain. But now it was as if the Super Saiyan form itself was free and that its own happiness about being so brought her happiness too. Era clenched her fists and smiled up at Valkyrie as they shared the moment together.

Then they both looked to Fae.

"Join us, Fae." They said as one.

"Just one powerful happy memory is all it takes." Val said.

"You can do this Fae. Concentrate hard and transform. We'll be here if you need us." Era added.

Fae, while being a bit embarrassed that Era had witnessed such a display of sibling affection, was glad that Era didn't pry into what was going on until Fae had collected her thoughts and was ready to talk about it. It did feel a lot lighter being in Era's pressence, a lot more calming here. And a feeling of acceptance she wasn't that used to being around. It was nice.

So it was a bit of a surprise that when they went to bed that night, Fae actually found herself having slept. A quite dreamless sleep that went by in a blink. The morning light bringing Val along with it. With sensational news.

To be honest, Faeora thought that Val was probably looking a little too deeply into the legend. However, as Valkyrie broke it down, it did provide some interesting speculation. But then Val showed them. Corny? Corny didn't matter after that.

Fae blinked, taking in the change. It really was a change. Almost like a new person compared to how she remembered how Val used to be in super saiyan form. While she was lovely then, the sort of serenity that peace that surrounded her now really put an emphasis on how pretty that form really was.

Well it was time to try it herself. So like Era, Fae took a step back and closed her eyes. Trying to focus on some happy thoughts and memories. And... nothing. Nothing immediately came to mind. It wasn't that she had a bad life... just a bitter one. So she tried to think back. Recent events not doing any favors in trying to think of something. Any thoughts of family just brought her back to thinking about leaving. Thoughts of missions, and friends. Nothing spectacularly happy. No great accomplishment she felt proud of. Rather than a smile, a frown was starting to develope.

She did however open her eyes as she felt Era change. And like Val... Era was just as beautiful, if not moreso. The expression suited her so much better. Era mastered it so easily. It made Fae smile looking at her. She really did look a lot more peaceful.

Then theyes both looked at Fae. Well crap.

"Alright alright. Just give me a second. Happy thoughts are not exactly my specialty, you know." She said in a playfully dismissive gesture. "You two enjoy looking at each other for a bit. This is probably going to take a minute."

With a sharp sigh, she sat down on the ground where she stood. Taking a meditative position with her hands on her knees. This was going to take a little effort.

And so it did. A few minutes as she tried to lock onto more positive memories. There weren't a lot. At least ones that didn't get negative pretty quickly. However, a common thing was among them. They were recent. And one of them stuck out.

She was growing. It wasn't long ago that she was nothing. That she was a weakling. But over this time... she was starting to push against everything that once held her back. Shattering the chains that used to bind her. Though there were a few slip ups in this train of though, like the power not being hers, technically... the good quickly overwhelmed the bad.

So she built on the thoughts. Smirking to herself. From that original moment, sharing the blood. And growing stronger. The feeling. The smile of her brother as she surpassed him so quickly. To defeating Era in sparring match. Making friends with Pyro and his crew. Slowly beginning to belong to this team they were making. Landing a hit on Pyro despite being vastly weaker. Serving a super saiyan. Becoming a super saiyan...

It wasn't really one memory. She couldn't decide on one. But the feeling behind it was there. A sort of freedom. A renewed spirit. Having a purpose. And even now having friends cheering her on. It was all of this she let her mind dwell on. Feeling a tingle of happiness inside her. Because, despite all that happened in the past. She was happy with them.

With a flash, her aura flared up and turned golden. And a sense of warmth and serenity emenated from her. A small smile gracing usually grumpy face. Even her broken tail, that had been still more often as of late, was moving happily behind her.

She opened her eyes, and sat there, looking up and the the two of them. No, she wasn't as beautiful as them. But that was okay. She was happy with being cute. So she stood up and looked at them. "I suppose there isn't any more reason to be unhappy anymore. I got you all."

Era and Val smiled at Fae as they both came in and embraced her.

"That's right Fae. No matter what happens, you will always have us." Era said.

"Yes... We may not always see eye to eye. But we are all family. More so now than ever." Val added.

After a brief embrace, they let go of Fae and decided that since they had some time to spare it was time they all did something special together.

The three of them had never, not once in their lives, gone out to just enjoy a day for themselves as a group. They'd been on missions together. They'd hung out with one another on ships and in alien facilities. But here on Metahnn, they'd never just gone out to enjoy themselves for a day like ordinary people. So today was their day to do that.

Era, more than anything, wanted to get away from the dress code of the Saiyans. Until now she'd been wearing the usual tank top style Saiyan armor which, while practical, was uncomfortable and she didn't like how it looked on her very much. So, in typical Era fashion, she went completely against the grain and bought herself a set of armor designed by an Earthling who had set up a business here on Metahnn.

Whether it was meant to truly be for function over fashion was anyone's guess, but Era liked it. And she enjoyed the rather sultry appearance it brought her. She had always enjoyed being able to show off her assets as part of her battle strategy, and her old armor didn't really allow her to do that.

But this armor?... Oh, if there was even a shred of testosterone in any of her future male opponents they'd be drooling over themselves during the fight.

a0cd93878d7d9eff281b42d802370983--comics-girls-chicas-anime.jpg
... Needless to say when Era showed her new garb to Valkyrie, the latter regarded her with a skeptical look of indignation.

"You're really going to wear that as your new armor?" Val inquired.

Era nodded happily.

Val rolled her eyes.

Era always did have a strange taste in fashion... So while this was really no surprise, it was nevertheless distracting even to Val. Seeing Era with that much skin exposed, supposedly as part of a "battle strategy", felt to Val more like Era, while not vain or narcissistic, enjoyed showing her curves a bit too much for her own good.

But whatever. Era was a powerful warrior no matter what she wore. As the Earthlings said, "the clothes don't make the man"... Or in this case, the woman... Or... Female Saiyan. Whatever!

Val shrugged it off and they all continued going about their day together just relaxing and doing whatever they wanted. They'd earned it after all that they had gone through until now.

But their time of joy was not long to last. The next morning Metahnn's warning systems began activating. An unidentified vessel was fast approaching the planet, and the power levels aboard were staggering. The estimation was that the average power level of the weaker troops was between 25-40 million. The "medium" level troops aboard, 80-120 million. And the more powerful troops were around 150+ million. But the one presumed to be the leader was the strongest of the bunch with a power level that was too high to measure, meaning it breached 300 million.

Amazingly, Era and Val, who were with the communication's team when the alarms went off, weren't at all surprised or afraid of this incoming power.

"Ladies! We know you're Super Saiyans and all. But seriously? You're not worried about this bunch?!" Asked one comms officer.

"Nope. Fae can handle them on her own." Era replied.

"Fae?! You mean Faeora Faerari?... But she's-"

"-A Super Saiyan. And she's not a Faerari anymore... She'll be fine."
Val confirmed.

"B-but-"

"Oh don't worry about Fae. We forced her to take a day off yesterday and I think she's a bit pent up. This will be a good exercise for her to help get rid of the tension." Era interjected.

"....... I don't even know how to respond to that..." The comms officer replied.

With that Era and Val flew out to an open space and powered up a bit, about half their maximum in their base forms, to draw out the vessel and their crew. Pyro and his crew would be here before long, as would Fae. And while the rest of the Saiyan world watched with anxiety and anticipation, Era and Val would take pride in watching Fae show the rest of the Saiyan Race what a true Saiyan was capable of.

... The ship would be landing any minute, and it was all Fae's show from here on out. Era and Val were sitting on a couple of boulders relaxing, Era more sunbathing than anything else. They had total confidence that Fae would be in total control of this extermination of pests who were, in all likelihood, here to threaten their home.

D. Rex D. Rex ChazGhost ChazGhost (((I'm going to leave it open to King to have the ship land, the crew depart, and the fight begin. You can include as much or as little as you want. Chaz and I will kick back for a bit unless Chaz wants to have Pyro and his crew take on some of the weaker enemies as well just for fun while Fae deals with the big fish.)))

Pyro came alone and left his ship and crew to... Well a party that had been going on for about five day straight. "I payed my men to much..." Pyro said with a sigh as he arrived. He looked at Val and Era with a strange look. "Your not going to try to, you know, protect your home world?!" Pyro asked with a sigh turning around looking at the ship coming closer...

By the time Pyro had arrived, Era had fallen asleep and was napping peacefully out on top of her boulder. Valkyrie was sitting nearby on another one and addressed Pyro.

"Presuming our senses haven't failed us, then the strongest enemy has almost as much power as Fae in her Super Saiyan form. Fae still holds the edge though, but still it'll be a good exercise for her since we forced her to take a day off yesterday." She said with a smile.

Valkyrie then sat back on her hands watching the ship as it began lowering itself through the atmosphere.

It was quite large. Definitely enough to house a small army, which was precisely what was on board. Val couldn't help but smile at the thought of watching Fae prove to the rest of the Saiyan race what she was capable of.

The Faerari family, along with the faces of each of its members, were all well known throughout their world. Fae's included, even if she wasn't known as well by first name as the other more "prestigious" members of her family. Thanks to her family, namely her father, her first name was all but forgotten. But today, in front of their entire race, Fae would prove the warrior she was and that she had transcended the Faerari name.

She was better than them now... More than them, and more than they ever would be.

Yesterday... it was a good day. Despite the clothes shopping... sure. She had enjoyed herself. But seriously Era... that outfit. Fae couldn't say she hated it. Even if it really rubbed her looks in her face. Oh well. Era enjoyed it. So Fae might as well enjoy it too. And she did also decide to switch up her outfit too. Ditching her Faerari clan armor for something less telling. A simple saiyan cuirass and short battleskirt. Less protection, but her arms and legs felt much more free. It was a wierd feelimg, beino as free as she was that day was a new experience.

And today... trumped that. In her scooter she could here the confused reaction of the operator. She chose not to chime in. There was a small feeling of being irked, but that was quickly replaced by an the sense of thrill at showing him... and other like him... that she was much more now. She would show them all what she was capable of.

Faeora stood on the ground. Waiting patiently with her arms crossed at the predicted landing zone. Yes... she could blow it out of the sky right now... but she could feel the power on board. And it awoke the core being if the saiyan inside her. Many species might not understand it. But for a while now she had been wanting this. Craving this. One might call it a gamble... but no. It was more than that. She had to prove herself. Any saiyan in her position would do the same. There was a fight to be had.

As the cruiser loomed over the area, it cast it's shadow over the region. Inside, a being looked through the viewscreens.

"Lieutenant Zarko, your report. No signs of resistance. Nor is there any sign of the super saiyan. However we have picked up several abnormally high power levels. One in particular is waiting at the LZ. A saiyan of a power level of ten million. Larger than the ones we picked up earlier." Said the voice of a human from his station.

Zarko nodded, "How considerate of them to have a welcoming party. The Mad King must be feeling extra generous today. Do not fool yourself into thinking this is a peaceful gesture. The saiyans have a lust for battle that is rivaled only by their appetite. They would rather fight us on even ground. That sort of mindset will always be their folly. We aren't here to fight one on one. Plans haven't changed. Bravo team, when we land, you will immediately head to the palace, draw out the King. Find the super saiyan. Alpha team and I will destroy this vanguard and will meet with you once we secure our footing. The rest of you will spread out and hunt down any traces of the Darkhoods. This is a simple mission. The saiyans may be a warrior race, but they are weak. Only a handful of warriors here should pose any threat, if intelligence is to be believed. I want this planet intact if at all possible. But worst case scenario, be prepared to fall back to the ship should we need to destroy Metahn." He hissed, going over the summary of their plans for a final time. A series of affirmative from the team leaders sounded off through his scouter. He gave a final nod as the ship shook as it made contact with the surface of the planet.

Faeora stared up at the spacecraft, anticipation building as the main ramp lowered slowly. Elsewhere on the cruiser, other hatches opened, and members of the Omnizwart flooded the skies as they began to spread out. FaeroRather watched them, disappointed that they were already going about their own ways. Well... she couldn't have them reaming havoc, now could she...

She raised her hands, drawing ki from the massive poop of ki she had been storing in her anchor while she had been waiting. Sending two wide barrages of thousands of ki blasts into the swarms of Omnizwart. Filling the sky with bright green orbs that exploded on contact. Decimating the weaker teams, until a handful of the more elite members took stock of the situation and came to their defense, blocking the blasts.

As her pool of ki ran dry, Faeora grinned to herself. That should get their attention. It wasn't what she had intended to use that pool of ki for... but it was well worth it to see their heads turn. Plenty would get away. But she would deal with them later... right now... as the ramp lowered fully... a powerful energy signature began descending it.

He was a tall alien. One she hadnt seen before. Or if she had... not ine she had seen enough to remember. Tall and slender. Amphibious. His skin was a bright green, and smooth. With glisten of dampness about it. He had a long tail, and his neck curved upwards into a stubby head with a shallow snout. Two eyes, a common trait of humanoids, with slotted pupils. It reminded her of the salamanders of earth.

His mouth opened, showing off rows of needle like teeth. "Where is the super saiyan?" He demanded immediately.

Faeora gave him a spiteful smile, "Which one?"

The alien seemed caught off guard. There was more than one? "Don't play coy with me, girl. I am here for the King."

"He is dead."

Again, the alien was taken aback. Unexpected developments, or trickery. The Darkhoods wouldn't fall so easily. " I am Lieutenant Zarko of the Omnizwart. And if what you say is true, then I suggest you have your people stand down and surrender yourselves to our control."

"You do not know us saiyans very well. That isn't going to happen."

"And you don't know the darkhoods. Or perhaps you do and your planet is already infested... This is your last chance to try and seek reason. Or we will take this planet by force."

"Again, you don't know us saiyans very well. We got rid of one tyrant. We are not going to trade it for another. Now shut up. I came here for a fight. If you want to talk, you should have done so from orbit. You retreat then talk. Otherwise, you will all die here. We don't take invaders lightly. " She said, taking her fighting stance.

Zarko frowned. "A shame. Very well." It was clear that this was not going to be a fruitful conversation. No. He wasn't here to talk. He was here to conquer. If the saiyans couldn't be leashed, it only proved how much of a liability they were. It was an unexpected development the King was killed already. But whoever killed him, Zarko could handle it. There was more to a fighter than power...

"Kill her." He ordered.

Goon number two flew from behind himme rocketing towards Fae and slamming his fist into her face. But... despite being a good quarter above her base form... she didn't budge, as if she was anchored to the ground. She took it in full, and drive her open palm into his his chest. Crushing his ribcage inwards and sending the last of her pooled ki into him. Taking him out with a demolition fist.

However... before he even hit the ground, Zarko plant a kick that sent her flying.

And flying she went sent straight into a cliff face nearby where she went silent.

Zarko reached up to his scouter, to relay the new information. But paused... he turned his head to where he had dispatched the saiyan. That kick should have killed her... but instead he was picking up tremendous power levels building up

The ground shook and the face of the cliff exploded outwards. With a figure rising up into the sky from the dust and debris. A female saiyan with golden hair. Incredible power. And she didn't care at all about hiding it, like she wanted the whole world to know. The saiyans reeked of pride... it would seem this was one of the hurdles that needed to be talked to take this planet. Five hundred million... the Mad King had power reported higher than that. This would be child's play.

"Alpha team. Flank and support." He ordered, powering up as his small team did the same. Some of them reaching almost two hundred million. While his began to rise well beyond that. He wasn't going to give her the luxury of a one on one... if there was indeed more super saiyans... than he needed to end this before they got involved.

Valkyrie observed as the ship descended upon the planet. It was an impressive vessel. So much so she felt it would be a shame to destroy it in the event everything ended in their favor. It would make a wonderful carrier vessel for the Saiyan Response Teams which went from planet to planet aiding their allies.

As the ramp from the ship lowered and numerous forces emerged only to be assaulted by a massive barrage of Ki blasts which Fae had been storing. It took out a pretty good number of them, but the rest made it past thanks to the more Elite members acting as shields.

And then the leader made his appearance and Valkyrie couldn't help but smile as he approached Fae and began a conversation about the now deceased mad King. The shock in the alien's voice as he heard there was more than one Super Saiyan sent a ripple of pride through Val knowing she was one of them. Era, still sound asleep next to her, was another. And the last of them was in front of the alien leader right now.

It would make for a most interesting experience.

One of the other Elite's attacked Fae but was stopped by a combo attack from her Ki Anchor and her Demolition Fist. But then the leader raced forward and kicked Fae clear across the vast plains into a mountain side. Obviously arrogance ruled this one's mind as he turned away from Fae as if knowing she was dead. But Val sensed otherwise and smiled a little more as the ground began rumbling.

The alien leader turned around just in time to see the mountain side explode and a golden aura race into the skies. And there she was. Fae floated confidently and defiantly in the skies with her golden hair and gleaming turquoise eyes on full display. The first of three Super Saiyans had made their presence known, and the leader seemed worried about more than one making an appearance which made Valkyrie chuckle.

The alien leader and his most Elite support units began attacking Fae while the rest of the scum which decided to invade began spreading out to attack the rest of the planet. Val stood up from her position on her boulder and floated up into the sky very slowly so as not to wake Era who was sawing some serious logs. In fact Era had rolled onto her side with her left arm outstretched as a makeshift pillow which was her favorite sleeping position.

Valkyrie then began powering up to her own maximum in base form which was now 14.6 million. Using her speed and precision, she raced around the enemies who were trying to fan out and corralled them together in a much tighter space a fair distance from Fae's battleground.

"You're not going anywhere." She said calmly to all of them.

Most of their power levels were between around 2-6 million. Child's play. Even on a bad day Val could take all of these minions without much effort. But today it wasn't just her time to have fun.

"Hey, Pyro. Care to join me and have some fun with these urchins?" She asked over her Scouter comm link.
