Why not just make it easier and call them just their normal names like phone and car, but that’s up to you
Because it is an alternative world. If you want to call em phone and stuff, that is fine. I just thought that a local slang might be interesting

i mean in world they call it differently probably but for us to understand it easier we probably should use regular/normal names unless it is our characters speaking about it

not the proudest first post of mine but it is there and the setup has been done.
hope you will enjoy it.
and do tell me if the color for speech is too dark i could change it to a lighter one then

It took a minute for my eyes to adjust, but I read it just fine

I'll just make Ziran roll up at Asa's shop with something he needs them to repair. And they can just all meet there :hornswhistle:

unless Sharphorn boss calls for Asa, which would entail at least them coming in.
although i did thought that Solei would just come inside the room where Yuta and boss is. but she in fact did not.

That would be rude, and she doesn’t like being rude when representing her family

That would be the case if a fight broke out in or in front of the main house or if someone interjected violently during some negotiations or proceedings. The clan mediator/judge is there for that purpose and to be a neutral party in solving the problems between two conflicting parties, even if both are in the right or in the wrong.

I don't think I ever got to ask, but do plant powers fall under earth magic? I wasn't sure if it did. My idea was that Ziran could grow or manipulate plants around him, I showed an image of it on his abilities page on his sheet. But I just wanted to make sure this was something that magic in this world could do before officially writing it

Yes.

unless Yuta goes to the shop for some stuff, or the discussion gets heated with the boss. actually Anii any idea for the bosses name? after all he is your clan leader.

Did you want me to wait a bit to see if you can join up with the group before we start getting into more of an interaction? I didn't want to skip past you and leave you behind. If no reason comes up for Yuta to come over, I say just have him need something of his own be repaired. Or maybe her sent on an errand? It's easy and simple. But could also start a squabble that Asa needs to settle and then Ziran and Soriel can tag along.

If we're still doing this marriage thing I really did like the idea of Ziran painting a portrait for them too! I don't know if I ever said i agreed with it.

So to add some lore:

The state of the world aside from war.

The demon territories tend to be more developed and enjoy greater social equality than the human territories. Human nations often have a relatively large impoverished populace where serfdom is commonplace. Human nobles and clerics tend to be many times richer than the rest of the populace and flaunt their wealth. The lowest class among humans are the slaves, which are seen as even below serfs.

Human nations are often still stuck in the middle ages not only socially but technologically. The most advanced human nations are still in like renaissance to baroque era technology. And due to the large rift between humans and demons, most humans, even politicians and nobles, don't even know what it is like in the demon nations and people who have seen the demon nations and tell of how much nicer they are, are treated as heretics and can be subject to execution.

Meanwhile in demon nations standards are closer to modernity. The island nations have developed independently of the mainland demon nations, so technology may look different or be constructed differently. And due to better social cohesion, demon nations have far less social inequality compared to the human realm. Famines are rare and poorer nations experience foreign aid.

Then finally:

Demons who live in the human realm are absolutely unheard of. There may be demon spies in the human realm who hid their tails and horns to look like elves or even like humans. But in pretty much every human nation, demons will be killed on sight. In human nations, elves experience similar right to normal humans, meaning there are elf serfs and elf nobility.

Meanwhile in demon nations, while humans are rare, they still exist. Often being refugees from smaller human nations near the demon realm or being defectors. In most demon nations, despite the war, humans don't have to fear persecution. Nonetheless, humans have some restrictions in the demon nations. Humans cannot serve in the demon militaries. Humans cannot run for higher political positions. Some demon nations allow humans to elect their own minority representatives into parliaments, but humans cannot become nobility or nation leaders. Also travel back to the human realm is forbidden for humans as long as the war still goes on and violators will be strictly punished if caught.

There is also a large difference in mentality during the war. Demons are more likely to take prisoners whereas humans will largely just execute demons who surrender unless they are generals or demons of high status.
